Abstract
Description
本発明は、試料気体中を静電噴霧によって電極上へ効率的に収集する方法に関する。 The present invention relates to a method for efficiently collecting a sample gas onto an electrode by electrostatic spraying.
DNAや抗体、たんぱく質などの各種化学物質を含む微量溶液を基板上へ堆積するために、静電噴霧を利用することは広く知られている。 It is widely known that electrostatic spraying is used to deposit a trace amount solution containing various chemical substances such as DNA, antibody, and protein on a substrate.
たとえば、特許文献1に示された従来の静電噴霧装置は、不揮発性の希薄生体分子溶液を基板表面上でスポットまたはフィルム状にする装置である。図14に従来の静電噴霧装置を示す。たんぱく質溶液で満たされた毛管505と誘電体層504との間に数kVの高電圧を印加することで、毛管505の先端からたんぱく質溶液のミストが基板502に向かって噴霧される。
For example, the conventional electrostatic spraying device disclosed in
図14に示す静電噴霧装置は、基板502上に設けられた誘電体層504の導電性を制御、もしくは誘電体層504に孔を設けることで、局所的な電界を作り、所望の位置に物質溶液を堆積していた。この方法は、DNAやたんぱく質をスポット状あるいはフィルム状に基板へ配列した、いわゆるDNAチップやプロテインチップを製造するには一定の効果が得られる。
The electrostatic spraying device shown in FIG. 14 creates a local electric field by controlling the conductivity of the
しかしながら、従来方法のように収集側の電極が平面状の基板であると、静電噴霧された溶液は当該電極上で全面に広がってしまうということと、霧化電極の表面に凝縮した液体が過剰になると、不要な放電が起こり、収集電極での収集量が減るという課題があった。 However, if the collecting-side electrode is a flat substrate as in the conventional method, the electrostatically sprayed solution spreads over the entire surface of the electrode, and the condensed liquid on the surface of the atomizing electrode When it is excessive, unnecessary discharge occurs, and there is a problem that the amount collected at the collecting electrode is reduced.

また、注入工程において試料気体203の注入手段は、注入口102側から加圧して注入することが好ましいが、排出口103側を減圧して注入しても良い。
In addition, in the injection process, it is preferable that the injection means for the
さらに、注入工程において試料気体203を容器101へ注入する前に、容器101の内部には清浄な空気が満たされていることが好ましい。なお、容器101の内部には乾燥窒素やその他の不活性ガスが満たされていても良いし、試料気体と同程度の湿度を有する標準ガスや、較正用ガスが満たされていても良い。
Furthermore, it is preferable that the inside of the
また、注入工程において余剰な試料気体203は排出口103から排出される。

注入工程における試料気体203の注入と排出は、バルブ109aおよびバルブ109bで制御される。また注入口102には、容器101への異物混入を防ぐためのトラップを設けても良い。
Injection and discharge of the

Next, in the first cooling step, the
前記注入工程の後で第一冷却工程を行うことにより、試料気体以外の冷却凝縮を抑えることができる。第一冷却工程では霧化電極部104以外の部分、たとえば容器101も冷却されないよう、熱伝導を小さくすることが好ましい。熱伝導を小さくするために、霧化電極部104と容器101との接触面積を小さくすることが最も好ましい。あるいは霧化電極部104と容器101との接触部に熱伝導係数の小さい材料を介在させても良い。
By performing the first cooling step after the injection step, cooling condensation other than the sample gas can be suppressed. In the first cooling step, it is preferable to reduce heat conduction so that portions other than the
次に第一凝縮工程では、冷却された霧化電極部104の外周面において、水201と化学物質202aと化学物質202bを含む第一凝縮液204が形成される。図2(c)は第一凝縮工程を表す。
Next, in the first condensing step, a
なお、この第一凝縮工程では、第一凝縮液204の量が過剰にならないよう、第一冷却部105により霧化電極部104の温度を適宜制御することが好ましい。
In the first condensing step, it is preferable to appropriately control the temperature of the
次に帯電微粒子化工程では、第一凝縮液204から多数の帯電微粒子205を形成する。図3(a)は帯電微粒子化工程を表す。なお帯電微粒子の形態は、分子が数千個からなる微粒子であることが最も好ましいが、1個〜数百個からなるクラスタであっても良いし、数万個以上からなる液滴であっても良い。またはこれらの2種類以上が混在していても良い。
Next, in the charged fine particle forming step, a large number of charged
また、帯電微粒子205には、電気的に中性な分子の他に、化学物質由来のイオンまたはラジカルが含まれていても良い。またはこれらが混在していても良い。帯電微粒子205は負に帯電していることがより好ましいが、正に帯電していても良い。
Further, the charged
As a method for forming charged fine particles, electrostatic spraying is most preferable. Here, the principle of electrostatic spraying will be briefly described. The
帯電微粒子化工程において、霧化電極部104と対向電極部106の間には4kV以上6kV以下の電圧が印加されることが好ましい。
In the charged fine particle forming step, a voltage of 4 kV or more and 6 kV or less is preferably applied between the atomizing
なお、本発明は帯電微粒子205の直径を限定しないが、帯電微粒子の安定性の観点から2nm以上30nm以下が好ましい。
In the present invention, the diameter of the charged
帯電微粒子205に付加される帯電量は、微粒子1個あたり電荷素量(1.6x10−19C)と同量であることが最も好ましいが、電荷素量より大きくても良い。
The charge amount added to the charged
Next, in the voltage application step, a voltage is applied to the
次に第二冷却工程では、第二冷却部108により収集電極部107が冷却される。図3(c)は第二冷却工程を表す。前記電圧印加工程の後で第二冷却工程を行うことにより、収集電極部107の先端近傍へ集中する帯電微粒子205を冷却することができる。
Next, in the second cooling step, the collecting
次に第二凝縮工程では、収集電極部107の先端近傍で大半の帯電微粒子205が凝縮され、第二凝縮液206が生成される。図4は第二凝縮工程を表す。第二凝縮工程の結果、第二凝縮液206が収集電極部107の全面に広がるのを抑制できる。
Next, in the second condensing step, most of the charged

The embodiment of the present invention is greatly different from the conventional negative ion mist generator using electrostatic spraying. That is, in the conventional negative ion mist generator, the diameter of the charged fine particles is very small, from several nm to several tens of nm. Therefore, nanometer-sized charged fine particles have the properties of (1) floating in air for a relatively long time of about 10 minutes, and (2) high diffusibility. The properties of these negative ion mists are a great advantage when applied to skin and hair moisturizers and deodorizers. However, these properties are disadvantageous for the collection of chemicals that is the object of the present invention. Therefore, the idea of using an electrostatic spray method that generates nanometer-sized charged fine particles to collect chemical substances usually does not arise. However, if the method described in this embodiment is used, chemical substances can be efficiently collected even if nanometer-sized charged fine particles have buoyancy and diffusibility.

さらに、注入工程において試料気体203を容器101へ注入する前に、容器101の内部には清浄な空気が満たされていることが好ましい。なお、容器101の内部には乾燥窒素やその他の不活性ガスが満たされていても良いし、試料気体と同程度の湿度を有する標準ガスや、較正用ガスが満たされていても良い。
Furthermore, it is preferable that the inside of the
また、注入工程において余剰な試料気体203は排出口103から排出される。
Further,
注入工程における試料気体203の注入、排出はバルブ109a、バルブ109bで制御される。また注入口102には、容器101への異物混入を防ぐためのトラップを設けても良い。
Injection and discharge of the

Next, in the first cooling step, the
第一凝縮工程では、冷却された霧化電極部104の外周面において、水201および化学物質202a、202bを含む第一凝縮液204が形成される。図17(c)は第一凝縮工程を表す。
In the first condensing step, a
なお、この第一凝縮工程では、第一凝縮液204の量が過剰にならないように、排除工程を実施する。
In the first condensing step, the removing step is performed so that the amount of the
In the exclusion step, the current value flowing between the pair of first
次に帯電微粒子化工程では、第一凝縮液204から多数の帯電微粒子205を形成する。図9(a)は帯電微粒子化工程を表す。なお帯電微粒子の形態は、分子が数千個からなる微粒子であることが最も好ましいが、1個〜数百個からなるクラスタであっても良いし、数万個以上からなる液滴であっても良い。またはこれらの2種類以上が混在していても良い。
Next, in the charged fine particle forming step, a large number of charged
また、帯電微粒子205には、電気的に中性な分子の他に、化学物質由来のイオンまたはラジカルが含まれていても良い。またはこれらが混在していても良い。帯電微粒子205はマイナスに荷電していることがより好ましいが、プラスに荷電していても良い。
Further, the charged
帯電微粒子化工程において、霧化電極部104と対向電極部106の間には4kV以上6kV以下の電圧が印加されることが好ましい。
In the charged fine particle forming step, a voltage of 4 kV or more and 6 kV or less is preferably applied between the atomizing
なお、本発明は帯電微粒子205の直径を限定しないが、帯電微粒子の安定性の観点から2nm以上30nm以下が好ましい。
In the present invention, the diameter of the charged
帯電微粒子205に付加される帯電量は、微粒子1個あたり電荷素量(1.6x10−19C)と同量であることが最も好ましいが、電荷素量より大きくても良い。
The charge amount added to the charged
Next, in the voltage application step, a voltage is applied to the
次に第二冷却工程では、第二冷却部108により収集電極部107が冷却される。図18(c)は第二冷却工程を表す。前記電圧印加工程の後で第二冷却工程を行うことにより、収集電極部107の先端近傍へ集中する帯電微粒子205を冷却することができる。
Next, in the second cooling step, the collecting
第二凝縮工程では、収集電極部107の先端近傍で大半の帯電微粒子205が凝縮され、第二凝縮液206が生成される。図19は第二凝縮工程を表す。第二凝縮工程の結果、第二凝縮液206が収集電極部107の全面に広がるのを抑制できる。
In the second condensing step, most of the charged
