Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an air filter clogging detection device provided in a heat exchange unit such as an indoor unit of an air conditioner.
An air filter is provided in an indoor unit of an air conditioner in order to collect dust and dust contained in air taken inside. When dust or the like accumulates on this air filter, ventilation resistance increases and heat exchange efficiency decreases, so conventionally, the user is informed of the appropriate cleaning time, and when that time is reached, automatic cleaning is performed. A technology is known that adjusts the air volume to prevent a decline in capacity.
Patent Document 1 listed below discloses means for detecting clogging of an air filter in order to realize the above function. Specifically, the brightness of light passing through the filter is detected, and clogging is automatically detected by comparison with the actual brightness.
As in the technique described in Patent Document 1, by automatically detecting clogging of the air filter, the user can grasp the cleaning time and replacement time of the air filter, and the capacity of the indoor unit is appropriately determined. It becomes possible to adjust to. However, the technique of Patent Document 1 is easily affected by ambient light such as sunlight entering from a window or spot-like illumination, and it is difficult to accurately detect clogging. In addition, since the brightness of the filter transmitted light is a detection target, there is a drawback that it cannot be applied to an indoor unit installed in a dark place such as the back of a ceiling.
In view of the above circumstances, the present invention provides an air filter clogging detection device that is not easily affected by ambient light and can be suitably applied even in a dark place.

A light source that emits infrared rays toward the air filter from a primary side of the air filter;
A pattern provided on the air filter and capable of reflecting infrared rays emitted from the light source;
An image sensor provided on a primary side of the air filter and capable of receiving infrared rays reflected from the pattern;
A recognition unit for recognizing the shape of the pattern from an output signal of the image sensor;
A detection unit that detects clogging of the air filter from a recognition result of the recognition unit.
A clogging detection apparatus according to a first aspect receives infrared rays irradiated from a light source and reflected by a pattern by an image sensor, recognizes the shape of the pattern from an output signal of the image sensor, and determines the air filter from the recognition result. Because it detects clogging, it is almost unaffected by ambient light (visible light) incident from the outside, can eliminate the influence of infrared rays reflected from dust, etc. The present invention can also be suitably applied to installed heat exchange units.

(2) A clogging detection device according to a second aspect of the present invention is a clogging detection device that detects clogging of an air filter provided in an air flow path in a heat exchange unit,
A light source that is provided on one of the primary side and the secondary side of the air filter and that emits infrared rays toward the air filter;
A pattern that is provided on the other of the primary side and the secondary side of the air filter and that can reflect infrared rays irradiated from the light source and transmitted through the air filter;
An image sensor provided on the primary side and the secondary side of the air filter and capable of receiving infrared light reflected from the pattern;
A recognition unit for recognizing the shape of the pattern from an output signal of the image sensor;
A detection unit for detecting clogging of the air filter from a recognition result in the recognition unit;
It is characterized by having.
A clogging detection apparatus according to a second aspect receives an infrared ray irradiated from a light source and reflected by a pattern by an image sensor, recognizes the shape of the pattern from an output signal of the image sensor, and determines the air filter from the recognition result. Because it detects clogging, it is almost unaffected by ambient light (visible light) incident from the outside, can eliminate the influence of infrared rays reflected from dust, etc. The present invention can also be suitably applied to installed heat exchange units. Furthermore, since a pattern need not be provided for the air filter, a general-purpose air filter can be used.
(3) In the clogging detection device according to the first and second aspects, the detection unit includes the shape of the pattern recognized by the recognition unit before use of the air filter, and the use of the air filter. It is preferable to detect clogging of the air filter based on a comparison with the shape of the pattern recognized by the recognition unit.
With such a configuration, the clogging state can be accurately determined from the change in pattern recognition before and after using the air filter.
(4) In the clogging detection device according to (1), the pattern may be incorporated in advance with respect to the air filter.
Thereby, a pattern can be provided in the manufacturing stage of an air filter.
(5) In the clogging detection device according to (1), the pattern may be provided on a primary side surface of the air filter.
With such a configuration, a pattern can be provided later on the air filter. In addition, since it is possible to receive reflected light from a pattern that does not pass through the air filter, it is possible to accurately acquire a change in pattern recognition due to only the influence of dust.
(6) In the clogging detection device according to (2), the pattern may be provided on a component part of the heat exchange unit provided around the air filter.
With such a configuration, it is not necessary to add a new member to provide a pattern.
(7) In the clogging detection device according to (6), the component may be a grill provided at an air intake port of the heat exchange unit.
In general, the grill provided at the air intake is disposed near the filter, and is optimal as a pattern installation location.
The clogging detection device of the present invention is not easily affected by ambient light, and can be suitably applied to a heat exchange unit installed in a dark place.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a schematic cross-sectional view of an indoor unit including a clogging detection device according to a first embodiment of the present invention. The
The
The
The
The
The
The
FIG. 2 is an explanatory diagram schematically showing a clogging detection device. The
As the
The
In order to prevent visible light from being received by the
The
The
When the air conditioner is used, dust F or the like in the air sucked into the
For this reason, the clogging
When the
The clogging
FIG. 7 is an explanatory diagram showing a clogging detection device according to the second embodiment of the present invention. In the present embodiment, the
In the present embodiment, since the
FIG. 8 is an explanatory diagram showing a clogging detection device according to the third embodiment of the present invention. In the present embodiment, the
In the present embodiment, since it is not necessary to provide the
FIG. 9 is an explanatory diagram showing a clogging detection device according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention. In the present embodiment, the arrangement of the
