The present invention relates to a detection device, an electronic device, and a robot.
As a detection device for detecting an external force, detection devices described in

SUMMARY An advantage of some aspects of the invention is to solve at least a part of the problems described above, and the invention can be implemented as the following forms or application examples.
Application Example 1 A detection apparatus according to this application example is a detection apparatus that detects an external force, and includes a first substrate in which a plurality of first capacitance electrodes are arranged around a reference point and a first capacitance electrode. A second substrate disposed opposite to the first substrate; a dielectric composed of an elastic body or a fluid disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate; and a dielectric between the first substrate and the second substrate. A second capacitive electrode disposed opposite to the first capacitive electrode across the body, and an elastic protrusion that is elastically deformed while the center of gravity is located at a position overlapping the reference point and the tip is in contact with the first substrate; And a third substrate on which is formed.
According to this configuration, the detection accuracy of the external force can be increased by the two-stage configuration of the elastic protrusion and the dielectric as compared with the detection devices of
(Application Example 2) In the detection device according to the application example described above, a plurality of capacitance detection elements configured by a first capacitance electrode, a second capacitance electrode, and a dielectric, which change when the elastic protrusion is elastically deformed by an external force. An arithmetic unit that calculates the difference between the capacitance values of the capacitance detection elements arbitrarily combined among the capacitance values of the first and second capacitances, and calculates the direction and magnitude of the external force applied based on the difference. Things are preferable.
According to this configuration, the magnitude and direction of the external force can be measured relatively accurately with a small and simple arithmetic device without using a large arithmetic device.
Application Example 3 In the detection apparatus according to the application example described above, the capacitance detection element can separately detect a change in capacitance value due to elastic deformation of the elastic protrusion and a change in capacitance value due to deformation of the dielectric. It is preferable that
According to this configuration, compared to the case where the capacitance detection element collectively detects the change in the capacitance value due to the elastic deformation of the elastic protrusion and the change in the capacitance value due to the deformation of the dielectric, It becomes easy to detect external force. For example, assuming that the dielectric hardly deforms until the elastic protrusion reaches the critical point, if the change in the capacitance value due to the elastic deformation of the elastic protrusion is detected, the direction of the external force and the external force You can ask for size. Therefore, it becomes easy to calculate the difference between the capacitance values of the capacitance detection elements, and the external force can be detected efficiently.
Application Example 4 In the detection device according to the application example described above, it is preferable that the plurality of first capacitor electrodes are arranged symmetrically with respect to the reference point.
According to this configuration, since the distance from the reference point to each first capacitance electrode is equal between the first capacitance electrodes that are in point symmetry, the deformation amount of the elastic protrusion, the first capacitance electrode, and the second capacitance electrode The relationship between the capacitance value detected by the capacitance detection element including the capacitance electrode is equal to each other. If the first capacitance electrodes are arranged at different distances from the reference point, the capacitance values detected by the capacitance detection elements are all different even if the deformation amount of the elastic protrusion is the same. Value. For this reason, when various calculations are performed using the detected value, a correction coefficient corresponding to the arrangement position of each first capacitor electrode is required. On the other hand, according to this configuration, since the relationship between the deformation amount of the elastic protrusion and the capacitance value detected by each capacitance detection element is equal between the first capacitance electrodes that are point-symmetric, the correction coefficient is It becomes unnecessary. Therefore, it is easy to calculate the magnitude and direction of the external force from the capacitance value detected by each capacitance detection element, and the external force can be detected efficiently.
Application Example 5 In the detection device according to the application example described above, it is preferable that the plurality of first capacitance electrodes are arranged in a matrix in two directions orthogonal to each other.
According to this configuration, the row direction or the column direction can be defined as the X axis or the Y axis with respect to one surface of the third substrate on which an external force acts, and the X axis component and the Y axis component of the external force are separately measured. Things can be done easily. That is, it becomes easy to decompose the sliding force into two in-plane components.
Application Example 6 In the detection device according to the application example, it is preferable that the second capacitor electrode is disposed on the second substrate.
According to this configuration, the vector component of the electric field applied between the first capacitor electrode and the second capacitor electrode is dielectric compared to the case where the first capacitor electrode and the second capacitor electrode are disposed on the same substrate. It contains many components in the direction parallel to the body thickness direction. That is, the vector component of the electric field applied between the first capacitor electrode and the second capacitor electrode is substantially the same as the direction in which the external force is applied. Therefore, the magnitude and direction of the external force can be detected with high accuracy.
Application Example 7 In the detection device according to the application example, it is preferable that the second capacitor electrode is disposed at a position overlapping the reference point of the first substrate.
According to this configuration, the first capacitor electrode and the second capacitor electrode can be formed in the same process. Therefore, the manufacturing process can be simplified, and the manufacturing efficiency can be improved and the manufacturing cost can be reduced. In addition, since the second substrate can be prevented from warping during the heating process during the manufacturing process, the detection accuracy of the external force can be improved. Further, since the distance between the electrodes can be kept constant in the process of deformation of the elastic projection, the magnitude and direction of the external force can be detected with high accuracy.
Application Example 8 In the detection device according to the application example described above, it is preferable that the plurality of first capacitance electrodes be arranged in at least 4 rows and 4 columns in two directions orthogonal to each other.
According to this configuration, the number of first capacitance electrodes arranged increases. For this reason, it is possible to determine the direction and magnitude of the external force applied based on the capacitance detected by a large number of capacitance detection elements. That is, the external force can be detected with high accuracy.
Application Example 9 In the detection device according to the application example described above, it is preferable that a plurality of elastic protrusions are formed on the third substrate, and the plurality of elastic protrusions are arranged apart from each other.
In the detection device, one elastic protrusion is used as a unit detection region for the plurality of first capacitance electrodes. Therefore, according to this configuration, when the detection apparatus has a plurality of unit detection areas, the unit detection areas can be arranged apart from each other. When the elastic protrusions are elastically deformed, the deformation amount of the elastic protrusions in a direction parallel to the plane of the third substrate body can be allowed to some extent. Thus, as a result of the deformation of the first elastic protrusion, it is possible to suppress a situation in which the first elastic protrusion is in contact with the second elastic protrusion positioned adjacent to the first elastic protrusion and malfunctions. For this reason, it is possible to transmit the external force to the dielectric more accurately than in the case where the plurality of elastic protrusions are arranged in contact with each other. Therefore, the magnitude and direction of the external force can be detected with high accuracy.
Application Example 10 In the detection apparatus according to the application example described above, the distance between the first substrate and the second substrate is constant between the first substrate and the second substrate at least at the boundary between the adjacent elastic protrusions. It is preferable that a spacer to be maintained is disposed.
According to this configuration, the external force acts on each unit detection area surrounded by the spacer. For this reason, in the unit detection area surrounded by the spacer, it is possible to detect the external force separately and independently without interacting with other unit detection areas. Therefore, the magnitude and direction of the external force can be detected with high accuracy.
Application Example 11 In the detection device according to the application example, a reinforcing member having rigidity higher than that of the third substrate is disposed on the side of the third substrate opposite to the side on which the elastic protrusion is formed. Is preferred.
According to this configuration, for example, when an external force acts on a region between two adjacent elastic protrusions, the two adjacent elastic protrusions are compressed and deformed in directions opposite to each other as compared to when there is no reinforcing member. The situation can be suppressed. That is, it is possible to suppress erroneous detection such as detecting a direction opposite to the direction in which the external force is applied. Therefore, the magnitude and direction of the external force can be detected with high accuracy.

(Embodiment 1)
1A and 1B are diagrams illustrating a schematic configuration of a detection device according to
A reference point P is defined on the
As shown in FIG. 1B, the
A reference point P is determined at the center of the unit detection region S in plan view, and the center of gravity G is set so as to coincide with the reference point P in a state where no external force is applied. A plurality of capacitance detection elements Si are arranged around the reference point P. The number of capacitance detection elements Si arranged in one unit detection region is preferably two or more. If the number of the capacitance detection elements Si is two, the sliding force in the linear direction connecting the two capacitance detection elements Si can be detected. If the number of capacitance detection elements Si is three, the sliding force can be separated into an X component and a Y component. As shown in FIG. 1B, if the number of capacitance detection elements Si is four (S1, S2, S3, S4), it is easy to separate the X component and the Y component of the sliding force. These will be described in detail later.
A plurality of capacitance detection elements Si are arranged so as to be point-symmetric with respect to the reference point P. In FIG. 1B, the capacitance detection elements Si are arranged in a matrix in two directions (X direction and Y direction) orthogonal to each other. Specifically, a total of four capacitance detection elements Si are arranged in two rows and two columns per unit detection area S, and the center of the four capacitance detection elements Si (the center of the unit detection area S) is the reference point. P. As a result, the distance from the reference point to each capacitance detection element Si is the same for all four capacitance detection elements Si, so that the amount of deformation of the
The size of the unit detection region S (size in plan view) is about 2.8 mm long × 2.8 mm wide. Further, the areas of the four capacitance detection elements Si are substantially equal. An interval between adjacent capacitance detection elements Si in the unit detection region S is about 0.1 mm. For this reason, noise is not applied to the capacitance value detected by the capacitance detection element Si at the adjacent position due to the influence of disturbance, static electricity, or the like.

As shown in FIGS. 7A and 8A, before the external force is applied to the surface of the
As shown in FIG. 7B and FIG. 8B, when a vertical external force F is applied to the surface of the
The
As shown in FIGS. 7C and 8C, when an external force F in the oblique direction is applied to the surface of the

FIG. 10 is a view showing a pressure distribution in the vertical direction by the capacitance detection element Si according to the first embodiment. FIG. 11 is a diagram illustrating a calculation example of the slip direction by the capacitance detection element Si according to the first embodiment. Next, a calculation method for obtaining the magnitude and direction of the external force from the capacitance value measured by each capacitance detection element Si will be described.
In order to obtain the magnitude and direction of the external force F, the value of a function having the capacitance value detected by one capacitance detection element Si and the position of the capacitance detection element Si with respect to the reference point as variables is calculated. At the same time, a predetermined calculation is performed using the obtained value. As shown in FIG. 9, the plurality of capacitance detection elements S1 to S4 are arranged in a total of four rows per unit detection region S in two rows and two columns. Here, when the pressure values determined from the capacitance values detected by the capacitance detection elements S1 to S4 are P S1 , P S2 , P S3 , and P S4 , respectively, and the area of each capacitance detection element Si is A, the external force The X direction component Fx (component force acting in the X direction among the in-plane direction components of the external force) is expressed by the following equation (2).
また、外力のY方向成分Fy(外力の面内方向成分のうちY方向に作用する分力)は以下の式(3)で表される。 Further, the Y direction component Fy of the external force (a component force acting in the Y direction among the in-plane direction components of the external force) is expressed by the following equation (3).
Note that f in the equations (2) and (3) is a proportionality constant inherent to the
In this embodiment, when detecting the component of the external force, the equation (4) is used for the normal component Fz, and the equations (2) and (3) are used for the sliding force. The following steps are taken for the sliding force. First, a first axis (for example, X axis) and a second axis (for example, Y axis) are defined on the detection surface. In order to detect the component of the sliding force along the first axis, the capacitance detection located in the positive direction of the first axis from the reference point as a function having the capacitance value and the position of the capacitance detection element Si as variables. For element Si (eg, S2 and S4), +1 is multiplied by the detected capacitance value, and for capacitance detection element Si (eg, S1 and S3) located in the negative direction of the first axis, −1 is detected. It is assumed that the sum of these values is obtained by multiplying the obtained capacitance value. Next, the component of the sliding force along the first axis is obtained by performing a predetermined calculation using the obtained numerical value (referred to as a uniaxial difference). Similarly, in order to detect the component of the sliding force along the second axis, +1 is detected for the capacitance detection element Si (for example, S1 and S2) positioned in the positive direction of the second axis from the reference point. For the capacitance detection element Si (for example, S3 and S4) positioned in the negative direction of the second axis by multiplying the capacitance value, multiply the detected capacitance value by -1 and take the sum of these. To do. Next, the component of the sliding force along the second axis is obtained by performing a predetermined calculation using the obtained numerical value (referred to as a biaxial difference). As an example of the predetermined calculation, the previous numerical value (uniaxial difference or biaxial difference) is divided by the sum of the capacitance values detected by all the capacitance detection elements Si (for example, S1 to S4), and detected. Multiply by a proportional constant f unique to the
As shown in Expression (2), the X direction component Fx of the external force is detected by the capacitance detection elements S2 and S4 arranged in the + X direction among the capacitance values detected by the four capacitance detection elements S1 to S4. The combined values are combined, and the values detected by the capacitance detection elements S1 and S3 arranged in the −X direction are combined. As described above, based on the difference between the capacitance value obtained by the combination of the capacitance detection elements S2 and S4 arranged in the + X direction and the capacitance value obtained by the combination of the capacitance detection elements S1 and S3 arranged in the -X direction. The X direction component of the external force is obtained.
As shown in Expression (3), the Y direction component Fy of the external force is detected by the capacitance detection elements S1 and S2 arranged in the + Y direction among the capacitance values detected by the four capacitance detection elements S1 to S4. The values detected are combined, and the values detected by the capacitance detection elements S3 and S4 arranged in the -Y direction are combined. As described above, based on the difference between the capacitance value obtained by combining the capacitance detection elements S1 and S2 arranged in the + Y direction and the capacitance value obtained by combining the capacitance detection elements S3 and S4 arranged in the -Y direction. The Y direction component of the external force is obtained.

On the other hand, the difference between the capacitance values detected by the capacitance detection elements Si arbitrarily combined among the capacitance values detected by the capacitance detection elements S1 to S4 is calculated, and the external force is calculated based on the difference. The applied direction (the direction of the sliding force) is calculated. That is, in each
According to the
According to this detection apparatus, each of the capacitance detection elements S1 to S4 separately detects a change in the capacitance value due to the elastic deformation of the

According to this configuration, since the

FIG. 12 is a diagram illustrating a schematic configuration of the detection device according to the second embodiment, where (a) is a cross-sectional view and (b) is a plan view. Hereinafter, the
The
As shown in FIG. 12A, the
FIGS. 13A to 13C are cross-sectional views corresponding to FIGS. 7A to 7C and illustrating changes in capacitance due to the capacitance detection element Si according to the second embodiment. FIGS. 14A to 14C are plan views showing changes in electrostatic capacitance due to the capacitance detection element Si according to the second embodiment, corresponding to FIGS. 13A to 13C. 13A and 14A show a state before an external force is applied to the surface of the third substrate 30 (when no external force is applied). FIGS. 13B and 14B show a state in which a vertical external force is applied to the surface of the
As shown in FIGS. 13A and 14A, the
As shown in FIGS. 13B and 14B, when a vertical external force F is applied to the surface of the
As shown in FIGS. 13 (c) and 14 (c), when an external force F in an oblique direction is applied to the surface of the
FIG. 15 is a diagram illustrating a coordinate system of the unit detection area according to the second embodiment, corresponding to FIG. In FIG. 15, a plurality of capacitance detection elements Si (100) are arranged in a matrix, and 25 of these capacitance detection elements Si are divided into −X direction and + Y direction, respectively, and + X direction. And an area partitioned in the + Y direction, an area partitioned in the −X direction and the −Y direction, and an area partitioned in the + X direction and the −Y direction. In FIG. 15, for convenience, 100 capacitance detection elements Si are illustrated, but the number of arrangement of the capacitance detection elements Si is not limited to this and can be arbitrarily changed.
また、面内方向成分のうちX方向成分をrxi(i=1〜100)、面内方向成分のうちY方向成分をryi(i=1〜100)とすると、外力のX方向成分Fx(外力の面内方向成分のうちX方向に作用する分力)は以下の式(5)で表される。 As shown in FIG. 15, a plurality of capacitance detection elements Si are arranged in a total of 100 per unit detection region S in 10 rows and 10 columns. Here, the pressure value corresponding to the capacitance value (detection value) detected by each capacitance detection element Si is Pi (i = 1 to 100), and the distance between the reference point P and each capacitance detection element Si is The in-plane direction component is ri (i = 1 to 100). Further, when the X direction component of the in-plane direction component is rxi (i = 1 to 100) and the Y direction component of the in-plane direction component is ryi (i = 1 to 100), the X direction component Fx (external force) of the external force Of the in-plane direction component) is expressed by the following equation (5).
また、外力のY方向成分Fy(外力の面内方向成分のうちY方向に作用する分力)は以下の式(6)で表される。 Further, the Y direction component Fy of the external force (component force acting in the Y direction among the in-plane direction components of the external force) is expressed by the following formula (6).
In the equations (5) and (6), g is a proportionality constant inherent to the
In this embodiment, when detecting the component of the external force, the equation (7) is used for the normal component Fz, and the equations (5) and (6) are used for the sliding force. The following steps are taken to detect slip force. First, a first axis (for example, X axis) and a second axis (for example, Y axis) are defined on the detection surface. In order to detect the component of the sliding force along the first axis, the capacitance value detected by each capacitance detection element Si is weighted by the first axis component of the distance, and these weighted capacitance values (first It is obtained by a predetermined calculation using the sum of the moments). Similarly, in order to detect the component of the sliding force along the second axis, the capacitance value detected by each capacitance detection element Si is weighted by the second axis component of the distance, and these weighted capacitances It is obtained by a predetermined calculation using the sum of values (referred to as second moment). As an example of the predetermined calculation, the sum of the weighted capacitance values is divided by the sum of the capacitance values detected by all the capacitance detection elements Si, and a proportionality constant g unique to the
As shown in the equation (5), in order to obtain the X-direction component Fx of the external force with the first axis as the X axis, 100 capacitances detected by the 100 capacitance detection elements Si are used. One moment is obtained and summed, and this sum is divided by the sum of the capacitance values detected by all the capacitance detection elements Si, and multiplied by a proportional constant g inherent to the
Similarly, as shown in Equation (6), in order to obtain the Y-direction component Fy of the external force with the second axis as the Y axis, 100 capacitances of the 100 capacitance detection elements Si are used. The two moments are obtained and summed, and the sum is divided by the sum of the capacitance values detected by all the capacitance detection elements Si, and is multiplied by a proportional constant g unique to the
As shown in the equation (7), in order to obtain the Z direction component Fz of the external force, the pressure value corresponding to the capacitance value detected by the 100 capacitance detection elements Si is added, and one capacitance detection is added to this. Multiply by area A of element Si. However, the detected value of the Z direction component Fz of the external force tends to be detected larger than the X direction component Fx of the external force and the Y direction component Fy of the external force. For this reason, in order to make the detection sensitivity of the Z-direction component Fz of the external force equal to the detection sensitivity of the X-direction component Fx of the external force and the Y-direction component Fy of the external force, it is determined by the material of the

FIG. 16 is a diagram illustrating a schematic configuration of a detection device according to the third embodiment, where (a) is a cross-sectional view and (b) is a plan view. Hereinafter, the

FIGS. 17A to 17C are cross-sectional views showing changes in electrostatic capacitance due to the capacitance detection element Si according to the third embodiment, corresponding to FIGS. 13A to 13C. FIG. 17A shows a state before an external force is applied to the surface of the third substrate 30 (when no external force is applied). FIG. 17B shows a state in which a vertical external force F is applied to the surface of the
As shown in FIG. 17A, the
As shown in FIG. 17B, when a vertical external force is applied to the surface of the
By the way, it is known that when the spacer is arranged at a distance narrower than the area when the elastic protrusion is compressed and deformed, unevenness of the detected value is likely to occur at a place where the substrate is easily bent and a place where the substrate is not easily bent (degree of deformation). . In the present embodiment, the
As shown in FIG. 17C, when an external force in an oblique direction is applied to the surface of the

(Embodiment 4)
FIG. 18 is a cross-sectional view illustrating a schematic configuration of the
As shown in FIG. 18, in the

FIGS. 19A to 19C are cross-sectional views corresponding to FIGS. 13A to 13C and illustrating changes in capacitance due to the capacitance detection element Si according to the fourth embodiment. FIG. 19A shows a state before an external force is applied to the surface of the third substrate 30 (the surface of the reinforcing member 51) (when no external force is applied). FIG. 19B shows a state in which a vertical external force F is applied to the surface of the
As shown in FIG. 19A, the
As shown in FIG. 19B, when a vertical external force is applied to the surface of the
The external force acts on a region between two adjacent
As shown in FIG. 19C, when an external force in the oblique direction is applied to the surface of the
The external force acts on a region between two adjacent
According to the
In the present embodiment, the reinforcing
In the above embodiment, the first electrode is disposed on the first substrate and the second electrode is disposed on the second substrate, and the dielectric between the first electrode and the second electrode is longitudinal (Z direction).
(Embodiment 5)
FIG. 20 is a diagram illustrating a schematic configuration of a detection device according to the fifth embodiment, where (a) is a cross-sectional view and (b) is a plan view. Hereinafter, the
As shown in FIG. 20A, the
The

FIGS. 21A to 21C are cross-sectional views showing changes in capacitance due to the capacitance detection element Si according to the fifth embodiment, corresponding to FIGS. 7A to 7C. FIGS. 22A to 22C are plan views showing changes in capacitance due to the capacitance detection element Si according to the fifth embodiment, corresponding to FIGS. 21A to 21C. 21A and 22A show a state before an external force is applied to the surface of the third substrate 30 (when no external force is applied). FIG. 21B and FIG. 22B show a state in which a vertical external force F is applied to the surface of the
As shown in FIGS. 21A and 22A, the
As shown in FIGS. 21B and 22B, when a vertical external force is applied to the surface of the
As shown in FIGS. 21 (c) and 22 (c), when an external force in an oblique direction is applied to the surface of the
FIG. 23 is a diagram showing a coordinate system of the unit detection area according to the fifth embodiment, corresponding to FIG. As shown in FIG. 23, a plurality of capacitance
又、外力のY方向成分Fy(外力の面内方向成分のうちY方向に作用する分力の割合)は上述した式(3)で表される。 Here, assuming that the capacitance values (detected values) detected by the capacitance detection elements S1, S2, S3, and S4 are P S1 , P S2 , P S3 , and P S4 , respectively, the X-direction component Fx of the external force (the external force) The ratio of the component force acting in the X direction among the in-plane direction components) is expressed by the above-described formula (2). Further, the Y direction component Fy of the external force (the ratio of the component force acting in the Y direction among the in-plane direction components of the external force) is expressed by the above-described equation (3). Further, the Z direction component Fz of the external force (vertical direction component of the external force) is expressed by the above-described equation (4).
In the present embodiment, as in the first embodiment, the capacitance values of the four capacitance detection elements S1, S2, S3, and S4 that are changed by elastic deformation of the elastic protrusion by an external force are arbitrarily combined. The difference between the capacitance values of the capacitance detection elements Si is calculated, and the direction and magnitude in which an external force is applied are calculated based on the difference.
As shown in the equation (4), the Z direction component Fz of the external force is obtained by a resultant force obtained by adding the capacitance values of the four capacitance detection elements S1 to S4. However, the Z direction component Fz of the external force tends to be detected with a larger detection value than the X direction component Fx of the external force and the Y direction component Fy (component force) of the external force. For example, if a hard material is used as the material of the
According to the
The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various changes and improvements can be added to the above-described embodiment. A modification will be described below.
