Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a hearth roll for a continuous annealing furnace capable of suppressing adhesion of foreign matters to the roll surface during sheet passing and a method for manufacturing the same.
In metal plate manufacturing equipment, especially in the steelmaking process line, when the transport roll is rotated at high speed and the steel sheet is passed through, phenomena such as steel sheet slip, meandering, dust on the transport roll surface, build-up, etc. occur. . In particular, in a hearth roll for a continuous annealing furnace, a steel plate is conveyed in a high temperature state, and therefore build-up is likely to occur on the surface of the hearth roll. This build-up is a phenomenon in which foreign matter such as iron and manganese oxide on the steel sheet surface adheres to the hearth roll surface and grows. As this build-up progresses, the foreign matter attached to the hearth roll surface gradually grows to have a diameter of about 100 μm, for example. As a result, the convex shape of the foreign matter adhering to the surface of the hearth roll is transferred to the surface of the steel sheet, and a concave wrinkle (referred to as a transfer wrinkle or a pick-up wrinkle) is generated. The work which removes the foreign material adhering to the roll surface at the time of repair was needed, and became a factor which lowered productivity.
For this reason, various proposals have heretofore been made as countermeasures for suppressing the adhesion of foreign matters to the surface of the hearth roll. For example, in Patent Document 1, in order to suppress the reaction between iron, manganese oxide, etc., which is a build-up source, and the hearth roll surface, or to make it easy to remove the reaction product, 6 to 30% by mass of Mo, A Hearth roll sprayed coating containing one or more of Fe, Co, Nb, and Ta in an amount of 25% by mass or more, with the balance being Ni and inevitable impurities has been proposed.
In addition, as a measure for suppressing foreign matter adhesion on the surface of the hearth roll, a technique for defining the surface roughness of the hearth roll has not been proposed so far, but there are several proposals as follows, for example. For example,
By the way, in all the prior arts described in
Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and the object of the present invention is to use an appropriate index as an evaluation index of the surface roughness of the hearth peripheral surface for a continuous annealing furnace, It is an object of the present invention to provide a new and improved hearth roll for a continuous annealing furnace capable of suppressing adhesion of foreign matters to the peripheral surface of the roll and a method for producing the same.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the inventors of the present application have made diligent efforts and the skewness Rsk of the roughness curve is appropriate as an optimal evaluation index representing the surface roughness of the peripheral surface of the hearth roll for continuous annealing furnace, It has been found that if the surface roughness in the circumferential direction of the roll peripheral surface is adjusted to an appropriate range based on Rsk, adhesion of foreign matter (build-up) to the roll surface can be suitably suppressed, and the following invention has been conceived.
That is, according to a certain aspect of the present invention, there is provided a hearth roll for a continuous annealing furnace characterized in that the surface roughness in the circumferential direction of the roll peripheral surface is less than 0 in Rsk.

In the past JIS standard (JIS B 0601: 1982), the “maximum height roughness” was represented by the symbol “Rmax”, but in this specification, according to the new JIS standard (JIS B 0601: 2010), The symbol “Rz” is used to represent “maximum height roughness”.

This Rku is the degree of kurtosis (a measure of the sharpness in the height direction of the probability density function), and is strongly influenced by the protruding peaks or valleys.
[2. Configuration of continuous annealing furnace]
Next, a continuous annealing furnace to which the hearth roll for a continuous annealing furnace according to the first embodiment of the present invention is applied will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 1 is a schematic view showing a continuous annealing furnace 1 according to the present embodiment.
As shown in FIG. 1, the continuous annealing furnace 1 is equipment for continuously annealing the
As shown in FIG. 1, the continuous annealing furnace 1 includes a
The
As described above, the continuous annealing furnace 1 adjusts the mechanical properties of the
[3. Hearth Roll Configuration]
Next, the hearth roll for continuous annealing furnace according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 2 is a perspective view and a partially enlarged sectional view showing a
As shown in FIG. 2, the
Further, as shown in FIG. 2, the
The
The
The
The sealing film 22 is formed by applying and baking a sealing material on the surface of the
[4. Thermal spray coating material]
Next, the material of the
The
The heat-resistant alloy contains 5 to 20 vol% of Cr, 5 to 20 vol% of Al, and 0.1 or 6 vol% of any one or two of Y or Si, with the balance being either Co or Ni. It consists of one or two kinds and unavoidable impurities.
And regarding the volume ratio of a cermet film | membrane, 50-90 vol% of a cermet film | membrane is ceramics, and the remainder is a heat-resistant alloy.
Below, the specific example of the cermet film | membrane which comprises the
Next, the material of the ceramic will be described. The main component of the ceramic is Cr 3 C 2 , and 50 to 90 vol% of Cr 3 C 2 is contained in the ceramic. Since Cr 3 C 2 is difficult to oxidize even in a high temperature environment such as in an annealing furnace and does not easily react with iron and manganese oxide, build-up can be prevented. When Cr 3 C 2 is less than 50 vol%, the buildup suppressing effect cannot be obtained, and when it exceeds 90 vol%, the ceramic component that suppresses the diffusion of carbon in Cr 3 C 2 is relatively reduced. The coating becomes brittle by diffusion. Furthermore, from the viewpoint of improving buildup resistance, it is more preferable that the ratio of Cr 3 C 2 is 60 to 80 vol%.
Here, the particle size of Cr 3 C 2 is preferably 1 to 10 μm. When the particle size of Cr 3 C 2 is less than 1 μm, the surface area in contact with the heat-resistant alloy increases, and carbon diffusion tends to occur. On the other hand, when the thickness exceeds 10 μm, the roughness of the coating surface increases, and iron or manganese oxide is easily built up. Further, from the viewpoint of improving the build-up resistance, it is more preferable that the particle size of Cr 3 C 2 is 5 to 8 μm.
Since both Al 2 O 3 and Y 2 O 3 have a low carbon diffusion coefficient in the material, it is possible to suppress the diffusion of carbon of Cr 3 C 2 into the heat-resistant alloy.
In the ceramic, Al 2 O 3 is 1 to 40 vol%, and Y 2 O 3 is 3 vol% or less. Note that Y 2 O 3 is an optional component (selective component) that is added for the purpose of obtaining a carbon diffusion suppressing effect as required, and therefore the amount of Y 2 O 3 is 0 to 3 vol%. If Al 2 O 3 is less than 1 vol%, the effect of suppressing the diffusion of carbon cannot be obtained, and if it exceeds 40 vol%, Al 2 O 3 tends to react with manganese oxide, so that the build-up resistance is lowered. Similarly, when Y 2 O 3 exceeds 3 vol%, Y 2 O 3 easily reacts with the manganese oxide, so that build-up resistance decreases. In the case of addition of Y 2 O 3 for the purpose of obtaining a diffusion suppressing effect of the carbon, it is effective to add more than 0.5 vol%. Further, it is more preferable to be 10 to 30 vol% from the viewpoint of further improving the resistance to build-up property for the Al 2 O 3.
Al 2 O 3 or Y 2 O 3 can be added as an oxide to the raw material powder, but is oxidized in the raw material stage, during film formation, or after film formation for the purpose of suppressing carbon diffusion from Cr 3 C 2. It is preferable that the Y or Al added to the heat-resistant alloy is oxidized by the treatment to form the surface of the heat-resistant alloy in the form of Al 2 O 3 or Y 2 O 3 .
In order to further increase the high-temperature hardness of the thermal spray coating for the purpose of using at a high temperature, it is preferable to add ZrB 2 that is stable and high hardness at a high temperature at 40 vol% or less. When ZrB 2 is added in excess of 40 vol%, build-up tends to occur because the build-up resistance of ZrB 2 is inferior to Cr 3 C 2 . Since ZrB 2 is optionally, in particular any component added for the purpose of use at high temperatures (selective ingredients), the amount of ZrB 2 is 0~40Vol% in the film. When ZrB 2 is added for the purpose of use at a high temperature, if the addition amount is less than 5 vol%, the effect of increasing the high temperature hardness is small, so it is preferable to add ZrB 2 at 5 vol% or more, and further build-up resistance From the viewpoint of improving the properties, it is more preferably 15 to 30 vol%.
The balance of the ceramic described above is inevitable impurities and pores.
Next, the material of the heat resistant alloy will be described. The heat-resistant alloy contains 5 to 20 vol% Cr. If Cr is less than 5 vol%, the oxidation resistance at high temperatures is poor, and therefore the film is continuously oxidized and easily peeled off. When Cr exceeds 20 vol%, the heat resistant alloy becomes brittle and peels easily when carbonized, and when oxidized, it reacts with manganese oxide and buildup is likely to occur.
The heat-resistant alloy also contains 5-20 vol% Al. If Al is less than 5 vol%, the target amount of Al 2 O 3 cannot be obtained even if various oxidation treatments are performed. If Al exceeds 20 vol%, the high temperature hardness of the film decreases, so iron pierces the film. Build-up is likely to occur.
Both Y and Si have the effect of stably forming an oxide film and preventing peeling, and 0.1 or 6 vol% of either Y or Si is added. If Y or Si exceeds 6 vol%, the high temperature hardness of the film decreases, and iron pierces the film and buildup is likely to occur. Further, both Y and Si need to be added in an amount of 0.1 vol% or more, and it is particularly effective to add 0.5 vol% or more.
Moreover, it is preferable to add any 1 type or 2 types of Nb to 0.1-10 vol% and Ti to 0.1-10 vol% in this heat-resistant alloy. When Nb or Ti is contained in the heat-resistant alloy, a stable carbide is formed preferentially over Cr contained in the heat-resistant alloy, and the reaction between Cr and carbon is suppressed, so that the brittleness of the film can be suppressed for a long time. . When Nb or Ti is less than 0.1 vol%, the effect of suppressing the reaction between Cr and carbon cannot be obtained. When it exceeds 10 vol%, when it is oxidized, it easily reacts with manganese oxide and buildup is likely to occur.
The balance of the heat-resistant alloy described above is one or two of Co and Ni and unavoidable impurities.

That is, when the
Therefore, in the present embodiment, the roll peripheral surface of the
。 As described above, conventionally, the arithmetic average roughness Ra and the maximum height roughness Rz are generally used as an evaluation index (roughness parameter) of the surface roughness of the hearth roll 10 (Patent Document 2). ~ 4).
However, as a result of intensive research conducted by the inventor of the present application, it is understood that Ra and Rz are not appropriate evaluation indexes for the surface roughness of the roll peripheral surface from the viewpoint of preventing adhesion of foreign matters such as iron to the
Therefore, in this embodiment, the skewness Rsk of the roughness curve is used as an evaluation index of the surface roughness of the roll peripheral surface, instead of the conventional Ra and Rz. Rsk is an index representing the degree of surface roughness bias (a measure of asymmetry of the probability density function in the height direction), and is strongly affected by the protruding irregularities (mountain or valley) of the roll peripheral surface. The difference in the uneven shape can be reflected well. Therefore, Rsk is appropriate as an evaluation index of the roughness of the roll peripheral surface from the viewpoint of preventing foreign matter adhesion on the roll peripheral surface, and the surface roughness in the circumferential direction of the roll peripheral surface is determined using the Rsk as an evaluation index. By adjusting, it is possible to suitably reduce the adhesion of foreign matters to the roll peripheral surface when the
Here, the difference between Rsk and Ra will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 3 is an enlarged cross-sectional view illustrating the surface properties of the roll peripheral surface of the
As shown in FIG. 3A, for example, when there are many sharpened shapes on the roll peripheral surface toward the surface side (above the average line 30), Rsk> 0. As a result of various studies, the present inventors have confirmed that when Rsk> 0, foreign matters are likely to adhere and grow on the roll peripheral surface. This is presumed that when Rsk> 0, foreign matter easily adheres to and grows on the convex portion 31 with a sharp roll peripheral surface. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 3B, for example, when there are many sharp points on the inner surface (below the average line 30) of the roll peripheral surface, Rsk <0. In this case, it was confirmed that foreign matter hardly adheres to and grows on the peripheral surface of the roll. This is presumed that when Rsk <0, the
As shown in FIG. 3 (a) and FIG. 3 (b), if the uneven shape of the roll peripheral surface is different, Rsk has a different value, and Rsk can favorably reflect the difference in the surface shape of the roll peripheral surface. On the other hand, the sum of the areas B 1 of the area A 1 and the lower portion of the upper portion than the
Thus, when Ra or Rz is used as an evaluation index of the surface roughness of the roll peripheral surface, the difference in the surface shape of the roll peripheral surface as in the example of FIG. 3 cannot be expressed. On the other hand, when Rsk is used, the difference in the surface shape of the roll peripheral surface can be accurately expressed. As shown in FIG. 3A, when Rsk> 0, foreign matter is likely to adhere to the roll peripheral surface. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 3B, when Rsk <0, the foreign matter hardly adheres to the peripheral surface of the roll.
Therefore, if Rsk is adopted as an evaluation index of the surface roughness of the roll peripheral surface, and the roll peripheral surface is smoothed so that Rsk <0, in particular Rsk ≦ −0.10, the roll peripheral surface is optimized. Since the surface roughness can be adjusted, it can be said that foreign matter adhesion to the roll peripheral surface can be suitably prevented.
[6. Hearth roll manufacturing method]
Next, with reference to FIG. 4, the manufacturing method of the hearth roll for continuous annealing furnaces concerning this embodiment is demonstrated. FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing a method for manufacturing the
As shown in FIG. 4, first, a
The thermal spraying process of S10 will be described in detail. In S10, a cermet film is formed on the surface of the
Further, as a method of forming the
It is preferable to heat the
At the time of HVOF thermal spraying, the flow rate of oxygen gas, which is an HVOF combustion gas component, is preferably set to 1000 to 1200 l / min. By setting the flow rate of the oxygen gas to 1000 l / min or more, Al and Y in the heat-resistant alloy can be oxidized to obtain target amounts of Al 2 O 3 and Y 2 O 3 . When the flow rate of oxygen gas is higher than 1200 l / min, oxidation of the raw material powder proceeds excessively during the thermal spraying, and the coating becomes porous and buildup is likely to occur.
Moreover, it is preferable to oxidize the
When the raw material powder is oxidized and then subjected to the thermal spraying, it is heat-treated at 300 to 600 ° C. for 1 to 5 hours in the air or in an inert gas (nitrogen, argon or the like) containing a small amount of oxygen. When heating is less than 300 ° C or less than 1 hour, Y or Al is not oxidized, and if the heating temperature is higher than 600 ° C or longer than 5 hours, the amount of ceramics increases due to oxidation and the melting point of the raw material powder increases. The film becomes porous. Further, from the viewpoint of improving the build-up resistance, the heat treatment temperature is more preferably in the range of 400 to 500 ° C.
Next, by blasting the roll peripheral surface of the
Thereafter, the sprayed
Specifically, by performing chromate treatment on the surface of the
In the chromate treatment, a part of the

[7. Blast processing]
Next, with reference to FIG. 5, the blast process in S12 of FIG. 4 will be described in detail. 5A is a perspective view, FIG. 5B is a side view, and FIG. 5C is an enlarged view showing a blast process for the roll peripheral surface. An arbitrary blasting method such as air blasting or shot blasting may be adopted as the blasting process, but an example of air blasting will be described below.
As shown in FIG. 5, the roll peripheral surface is smoothed by projecting the
Moreover, the roll peripheral surface can be suitably smoothed along the circumferential direction by making the projection direction of the
Moreover, it is preferable that the injection pressure P (gauge pressure) of the
By the blast treatment as described above, the roll circumferential surface of the
[8. Summary]
The hearth roll for continuous annealing furnace and the manufacturing method thereof according to the present embodiment have been described above. According to the present embodiment, Rsk that can appropriately reflect the surface shape of the roll peripheral surface is used as an evaluation index of the surface roughness of the roll peripheral surface of the
Thereby, since the surface roughness of the circumferential direction of the roll peripheral surface of the
Furthermore, since the
Further, by forming the
Next, examples of the present invention will be described. The following examples show the results of tests conducted to verify the effects of the present invention, and the present invention is not limited to the following examples.
A plurality of types of hearth rolls 10 were manufactured in accordance with the above-described method of manufacturing a hearth roll, and each
Table 1 shows the composition of the
(A) Significance of Rsk <0 As shown in Table 1, in Comparative Examples 1, 2, and 12, the roll peripheral surface was not blasted, and in Comparative Examples 3 to 11, inappropriate blasting conditions were used. Since the blast treatment is performed (for example, θ> 45 °, P <0.3 MPa, P> 1.0 MPa), the surface roughness of the roll peripheral surface is 0 or more in Rsk (Rsk ≧ 0). For this reason, the roll life of Comparative Examples 1-12 is as short as 2.1 years or less.
On the other hand, in Examples 1 to 16 of the present invention, the roll peripheral surface is smoothed by blasting under appropriate blasting conditions (for example, θ ≦ 45 °, 0.3 MPa ≦ P ≦ 1.0 MPa). The surface roughness of the peripheral surface is adjusted to less than 0 by Rsk (Rsk <0). For this reason, the roll life of Examples 1-16 is at least 3.9 years or more. Thus, the roll life of Examples 1-16 has increased about twice or more compared with Comparative Examples 1-12, and the lifetime improvement is achieved.
Further, the roll life increases as Rsk decreases. In particular, in the case of Examples 1, 7, 8, and 12, by setting Rsk ≦ −0.11, the roll life is 4.4 years or more, which is significantly longer. Moreover, even in the cases of Examples 2, 6, 9 to 11, and 13 to 16, by setting Rsk ≦ −0.10, a roll life of 4.1 years or more can be secured. Thus, the lifetime is longer than when Rsk> −0.10.
From the above results, the surface roughness of the roll peripheral surface is less than 0, particularly −0.10 or less in Rsk, thereby reducing the adhesion of foreign matter to the roll peripheral surface and suppressing the occurrence of buildup. It can be said that it has been demonstrated that the roll life can be greatly increased. Conventionally, the general life of the
(B) Significance of high-temperature hardness HV (800 ° C.) of spray coating being 200 or more In Comparative Examples 1, 2, and 12, the blast treatment is not performed and the
On the other hand, when the high-temperature Vickers hardness HV50 g (800 ° C.) of the
From the above results, by setting the high-temperature Vickers hardness HV (800 ° C.) of the
(C) Significance of the projection angle θ being 45 ° or less In Comparative Examples 3 to 6, the projection angle θ of the
On the other hand, when the projection angle θ is 45 ° or less as in Examples 1 to 16 of the present invention, the surface roughness of the roll peripheral surface is −0.02 or less in terms of Rsk. The reason is that the
Based on the above results, the roll peripheral surface can be smoothed to an appropriate roughness (Rsk <0) if θ ≦ 45 ° during blasting, but if θ> 45 °, the roll peripheral surface is appropriately smoothed. It cannot be said that it was proved that Rsk ≧ 0.
(D) Significance of injection pressure P being 0.3 MPa or more and 1.0 MPa or less In Comparative Examples 7 and 8, the injection pressure P of the
On the other hand, when the injection pressure P of the
Based on the above results, the surface roughness of the roll peripheral surface can be smoothed to an appropriate roughness (Rsk <0) by controlling it within an appropriate range of 0.3 MPa ≦ P ≦ 1.0 MPa during blasting. If it deviates from this appropriate range, it can be said that it has been proved that the roll peripheral surface cannot be smoothed properly and Rsk ≧ 0.
