Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a reflective polarizing plate device, an electro-optical device, an optical device, and a projector.
Conventionally, a projector using a reflective light modulation device is known. Some projectors include a wire grid type reflective polarizing plate.
In
In detail, wire grid polarizers are attached to the three convex portions on the deep side of the concave portion of the two steps of the outer periphery of the rectangular hole provided on the first surface of the triangular prism support member, and sealed across the shallow side. A member is arranged, and a leaf spring member is installed on the upper part. The three presser portions coincide with the convex portions and press the wire grid polarizer from the vertical direction and fix the sealing member by the frame portion. The leaf spring member is disclosed that the rectangular hole portion is hooked and fixed to the claw portions formed on the lower surface and the upper surface of the triangular prism support member, and the pressing portion of the leaf spring member presses the wire grid polarizer with a constant load. ing. Note that this configuration can reduce registration deviation and provide a high-quality image with high stability.
In
Therefore, the reflective polarizing plate device, the electro-optical device, the optical device, which can maintain the optical characteristics of the reflective polarizing plate by an appropriate pressing method, and can securely fix the reflective polarizing plate against impact and vibration, and There was a demand for a projector.
SUMMARY An advantage of some aspects of the invention is to solve at least a part of the problems described above, and the invention can be implemented as the following application examples.
Application Example 1 A reflective polarizing plate device according to this application example is a reflective polarizing plate that transmits first linearly polarized light and reflects second linearly polarized light substantially orthogonal to the first linearly polarized light; A holding member that holds and holds the mold polarizing plate, and a first biasing member that biases the plane of the reflective polarizing plate housed in the holding member, and the holding member is one of the reflective polarizing plates. The first urging member has three urging portions at a position opposite to the three holding portions, and the other surface of the reflective polarizing plate is provided. The three urging portions are pressed and urged.
According to such a reflection-type polarizing plate device, the three holding portions of the holding member abut one surface of the reflection-type polarizing plate in contact with the three holding portions, and the three first biasing members that face the three holding portions. The reflective polarizing plate is fixed by pressing and urging the other surface of the reflective polarizing plate by the urging portion. With this configuration, both sides of the reflective polarizing plate can be supported at three opposing points of the holding portion and the urging portion, and the reflective polarizing plate is appropriately supported by supporting at three points. It can be fixed to the holding member with an appropriate pressing force and an appropriate pressing force, and it can be reflected polarized light without deformation even when impact (including physical impact or thermal impact) or vibration is applied. The plate can be securely fixed. Thereby, it is possible to prevent the reflective polarizing plate itself from being distorted during normal use, and to prevent the reflective polarizing plate from moving relative to the holding member even when an impact or vibration is applied. Therefore, the optical characteristics of the reflective polarizing plate can be maintained not only during normal use but also when impact or vibration is applied.
Application Example 2 In the reflective polarizing plate device according to the application example described above, it is preferable that the urging portion has a substantially spherical tip and protrudes to the other surface side.
According to such a reflective polarizing plate device, the tip of the urging portion has a substantially spherical shape, so that even if the urging portion is displaced, the reflective polarizing plate is appropriately supported and urged. Can do.
Application Example 3 In the reflective polarizing plate device according to the above application example, it is preferable to include a second urging member that urges the side surface of the reflective polarizing plate housed in the holding member.
According to such a reflective polarizing plate device, not only the flat surface of the reflective polarizing plate is urged by the first urging member, but also the side surface of the reflective polarizing plate is urged by the second urging member. . Therefore, the reflective polarizing plate can be reliably fixed to the holding member by urging not only the flat surface but also the side surface. Therefore, when an impact, vibration, or the like is applied, rotation of the reflective polarizing plate with respect to the holding member in the planar direction can be further prevented.
Application Example 4 In the reflective polarizing plate device according to the application example described above, the reflective polarizing plate is formed in a rectangular shape, and the holding portion is one of the opposing edges on one surface of the reflective polarizing plate. It is preferable to abut against one of the edges and two of the other edges.
According to such a reflection-type polarizing plate device, the holding portion makes the opposing edge portions contact at one place and two places on one surface of the reflection-type polarizing plate. Correspondingly, the urging portion of the first urging member is also formed relative to the holding portion, and presses the other surface of the reflective polarizing plate. Thereby, fixation to the holding member of a reflection type polarizing plate can be stabilized.
Application Example 5 In the reflection-type polarizing plate device according to the application example described above, the holding portion that comes into contact with two places on the other edge passes through the holding portion that comes into contact with one place on the other edge, and passes through the holding portion that comes into contact with one place on the other edge. It is preferable that it is installed at a position that is substantially symmetric with respect to a center line that is perpendicular to the outer edge of the other edge.
According to such a reflective polarizing plate device, the fixing of the reflective polarizing plate to the holding member can be further stabilized.

In addition, the

Next, an adjustment method of the
The adjustment by the adjusting
The adjustment method of the reflective
Note that the
Next, the operation of the B light in the electro-
The B light aligned with the first linearly polarized light (S-polarized light in the present embodiment) by the illumination
The B light incident on the reflective
The reflective
The B light emitted from the reflection-type

According to the embodiment described above, the following effects can be obtained.
The reflective
In the reflective
The reflective
In the reflective
In the reflective
In the electro-
In the
