Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a technique for controlling an irradiation state of a vehicle headlamp.
The headlamp when driving a vehicle at night is basically set to a high beam, but if there is an oncoming vehicle or a preceding vehicle, glare may be given to those vehicles. Set to However, when the low beam is set, it becomes difficult to visually recognize the road shoulder and the pedestrian compared to the case where the high beam is set. For this reason, in recent years, the positions of oncoming vehicles and preceding vehicles (hereinafter referred to as “front vehicles”) are detected, and a shadow (cut-off) is formed on the irradiation pattern of the high beam so that light is not irradiated to these existing positions. Various techniques for suppressing glare have been proposed.
For example, in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2011-031807 (Patent Document 1), the position of front vehicles is detected, and a mask (shade) having dimensions and positions corresponding to these vehicles is arranged in front of the light source. A light distribution control system for a vehicle headlamp that generates a shadow (cut-off) that suppresses glare to a preceding vehicle by projecting light from a light source via a projector (image forming device) is disclosed. Yes. The system of the preceding example is characterized in that the vehicle headlamp is controlled so that the size of the gap between the preceding vehicle and the irradiation range changes according to the horizontal position of the preceding vehicle. . However, in the preceding example described above, when the vehicle is passing on a straight road, the shading range can be appropriately controlled to prevent glare to the preceding vehicle, but the shading range cannot be controlled on a curved road (curved road). Sometimes glare was given to the vehicle ahead.
The specific aspect which concerns on this invention makes it one of the objectives to provide the technique which can avoid giving a glare with respect to the front vehicle which exists in the curve ahead of the own vehicle.
A lighting control device for a vehicle headlamp according to an aspect of the present invention includes (a) position information detection that detects position information of a target vehicle in time series based on an image obtained by photographing the front of the host vehicle. And (b) a position information storage unit that stores position information detected in time series by the position information detection unit, and (c) the host vehicle and the target vehicle based on the position information stored in the position information storage unit (D) based on the current position information stored in the position information storage unit and the calculation result by the calculation unit, the angular velocity and the angular acceleration A light-shielding range setting unit that sets the light-shielding range so that the horizontal width increases as at least one increases, and (e) the headlamp that drives the headlamp based on the light-shielding range set by the light-shielding range setting unit A light control unit is provided.
In the above lighting control device, the position of the target vehicle is predicted according to the relative angular velocity or angular acceleration between the target vehicle and the host vehicle, and the width of the light shielding range is increased or decreased according to the prediction result. It is possible to prevent glare from being imparted.
In the above lighting control device, the position information is an angle indicating the position of the end portion of the target vehicle with respect to the own vehicle. In this case, the calculation unit can calculate the angular velocity using the absolute value of the difference between the angle at the first time and the angle at the second time before the first time. In addition, the arithmetic unit may calculate the absolute value of the difference between the angle at the first time and the angle at the second time before the first time, the angle at the second time, and the second time. The angular acceleration can be calculated by using the difference between the absolute value of the difference in angle and the absolute value in the third period prior to this period.
A vehicle headlamp system according to an aspect of the present invention includes the above-described lighting control device for a vehicle headlamp, and the vehicle headlamp controlled by the lighting control device.
Thereby, the vehicle headlamp system which can avoid giving a glare with respect to the front vehicle which exists in the curve ahead of the own vehicle is obtained.
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

The configuration of the vehicle headlamp system according to the present embodiment is as described above. Next, the operation thereof will be described in detail.
FIG. 3 is a diagram schematically illustrating the positional relationship between the host vehicle and the target vehicle. Based on FIG. 3, the principle of obtaining the relative angular velocity and angular acceleration between the host vehicle and the target vehicle and setting the horizontal width of the light shielding range based on the calculation result will be described. As shown in FIG. 3, at the current time (t), the reference position in the horizontal direction of the host vehicle 100 (for example, substantially the center in the horizontal direction) ct and the right end of the target vehicle 101 (the right end as viewed from the host vehicle). The angle formed is α t . Similarly, an angle at time (t−1) prior to time t is α t−1 , and an angle at a previous time (t−2) is α t-2 . Note that these angles are expressed, for example, as plus clockwise and minus counterclockwise across the reference position ct. These angles α t , α t−1 , α t−2 can be obtained based on the position information of the rightmost lamp of the
αt+1=αt+P・|αt−αt−1|+D・(|αt−αt−1|−|αt−1−αt−2|)
At this time, the relative angular velocity of the
α t + 1 = α t + P · | α t −α t−1 | + D · (| α t −α t−1 | − | α t−1 −α t−2 |)
Here, P and D in the above calculation formula are constants determined as appropriate, and specific examples thereof will be described later. The light-shielding
FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing the control contents of the vehicle headlamp system. Hereinafter, control contents for realizing the above-described light distribution control will be described with reference to a flowchart shown in FIG.
The
Next, the angular
Further, the angular
Next, the light shielding
When the light shielding range set in this way is output from the light shielding
FIG. 5 is a conceptual diagram for explaining the control of the light distribution pattern of the present embodiment. Each of FIGS. 5A to 5C schematically shows a road situation seen from the host vehicle and a light distribution pattern corresponding to the road situation. For example, as shown in FIG. 5 (A), there is a curved road with a left turn direction ahead of the host vehicle, and there is a target vehicle (oncoming vehicle) 101 there, and the
FIG. 6 is a conceptual diagram for explaining control of the light distribution pattern of the comparative example. This comparative example is an example when the light shielding range is set without using the magnitudes of the angular velocity and the angular acceleration. Each of FIGS. 6A to 6C schematically shows a road situation viewed from the host vehicle and a light distribution pattern corresponding to the road situation. As shown in FIG. 6 (A), there is a curved road with a left turn direction ahead of the host vehicle, and the target vehicle (oncoming vehicle) 101 exists there, and the
The glare prevention effect in the above-described embodiment and the comparative example will be described with specific numerical examples. For example, the radius of curvature of the curved road is 80 m, the lane width of the curved road is 3.5 m, the vehicle width (ramp width) of the own vehicle is 1.2 m, the vehicle width (ramp width) of the preceding vehicle is 1.5 m, and the own vehicle And the relative speed of the target vehicle is 100 km / h, and the constant P in the above calculation formula is set to 1.6 and the constant D is set to 0.03. At this time, in the comparative example, the angle at the right end of the target vehicle changes, for example, α t−2 = −8.1 °, α t−1 = −5.1 °, α t = −0.8 °, The angle at time (t + 1) is predicted to be α t + 1 = + 3.5 °. On the other hand, in this embodiment, the angle at the right end of the target vehicle at time (t + 1) is predicted to be α t + 1 = + 6.2 °. That is, since a wider light shielding range is set in the horizontal direction by reflecting the magnitudes of the angular velocity and the angular acceleration, it is possible to prevent glare (glare) from being given to the target vehicle. That is, it is possible to perform cut-off position control of light distribution without giving glare to the target vehicle.
As described above, according to the present embodiment, the position of the target vehicle is predicted according to the relative angular velocity and angular acceleration between the target vehicle and the host vehicle, and the width of the light shielding range is increased or decreased according to the prediction result. Therefore, it is possible to prevent glare from being applied to the target vehicle. In particular, according to the present embodiment, since the mutual distance between the target vehicle and the host vehicle is relatively large, the apparent width of the target vehicle viewed from the host vehicle is small, and the apparent position of the target vehicle is the reference. A high glare prevention effect can be obtained in the case of being close to the position ct.
In addition, this invention is not limited to the content of embodiment mentioned above, In the range of the summary of this invention, it can change and implement variously. For example, the structure of the headlamp is not limited to that illustrated in FIG. Further, in the above-described embodiment, the angular velocity and the angular acceleration are used when predicting the position of the target vehicle, but only one of them may be used.
