Claims (23)
- 電気事業者によって複数の電力消費装置に供給される電力の消費を管理するシステムにおいて使用されるクライアント装置であって、前記複数の電力消費装置のうちの少なくとも幾つかへの電力の流れが複数の制御可能装置によって制御され、少なくとも1つの制御可能装置は前記クライアント装置の制御下で動作し、前記クライアント装置はシステムコントローラから電力制御メッセージを受信し、前記クライアント装置は、
電力制御命令を前記少なくとも1つの制御可能装置に通信する少なくとも1つの制御可能装置インターフェイスであって、前記電力制御命令によって、前記少なくとも1つの制御可能装置が、前記複数の電力消費装置のうちの少なくとも1つへの電力の流れを選択的に有効にしたり無効にしたりする、前記インターフェイスと、
受信した電力制御メッセージに応答して、前記少なくとも1つの制御可能装置インターフェイスを介して前記少なくとも一つの制御可能装置に電力制御命令を通信する装置制御マネージャであって、前記受信した電力制御メッセージは、前記電気事業者によって発行された電力削減要求に応答するものであり、前記電力制御命令によって、前記少なくとも一つの制御可能装置が、少なくとも一つの関連する電力消費装置への電力の流れを無効にする、前記装置制御マネージャと、
を備える、クライアント装置。 - 前記受信した電力制御メッセージが、削減すべき電力量と、1以上の関連する電力消費装置への電力の流れを無効にするように命令すべき制御可能装置の識別とのうち、少なくとも一方を示す、請求項1記載のクライアント装置。
- 前記システムコントローラと前記クライアント装置との間を通信する通信インターフェイスを更に含み、
前記装置制御マネージャが、少なくとも一つの電力消費指標と少なくとも一つの電力管理状態とを、前記通信インターフェイスを介して前記システムコントローラに通信する、請求項1記載のクライアント装置。 - 前記少なくとも一つの電力消費指標は、それぞれの制御可能装置に関連する電力消費指標を含んでおり、前記少なくとも一つの電力管理状態が、それぞれの制御可能装置に関連する電力管理状態を含む、請求項3記載のクライアント装置。
- 前記通信インターフェイスは、インターネットプロトコル(IP)ベースのインターフェイスを含む、請求項3記載のクライアント装置。
- 前記IPベースのインターフェイスが、WiMAXインターフェイスと高スピードパケットアクセス(HSPA)・インターフェイスとのうちの一方である、請求項5記載のクライアント装置。
- インターネットプロトコル(IP)アドレスを含むIPメッセージを受信し、且つ前記IPメッセージが前記クライアント装置、又は該クライアント装置に結合された、インターネットにアクセス可能な装置、に向けられるかどうかを判定する3層ルータと、
該3層ルータから前記IPメッセージを受信し、且つ前記IPメッセージが前記インターネットにアクセス可能な装置に向けられるときに、前記IPメッセージを前記インターネットアクセス可能な装置に通信するIP装置インターフェイスと、を更に備える、請求項1記載のクライアント装置。 - 前記3層ルータは、IPメッセージがクライアント装置に向けられていることを判断するようにさらに動作可能である、請求項7記載のクライアント装置。
- 前記受信した電力制御メッセージは、関連する電力消費装置への電力の流れを無効にするように指示すべき制御可能装置のリストを含む、請求項1記載のクライアント装置。
- 前記受信した電力制御メッセージは、前記リスト内の制御可能装置のインターネットプロトコル(IP)アドレスをさらに含む、請求項9記載のクライアント装置。
- 電気事業者によって複数の電力消費装置に供給される電力の消費を管理するシステムにおいて使用されるクライアント装置であって、前記複数の電力消費装置のうちの少なくとも幾つかへの電力の流れが複数の制御可能装置によって制御され、少なくとも1つの制御可能装置は前記クライアント装置の制御下で動作し、前記クライアント装置はシステムコントローラから電力制御メッセージを受信し、前記クライアント装置は、
電力制御命令を前記少なくとも1つの制御可能装置に通信する少なくとも1つの制御可
能装置インターフェイスであって、前記電力制御命令によって、前記少なくとも一つの制御可能装置が、前記複数の電力消費装置のうちの少なくとも1つの電力消費装置への電力の流れを選択的に有効にしたり無効にしたりする、前記制御可能装置インターフェイスと、
受信した電力制御メッセージに応答して、前記電力制御命令を生成するように動作可能な装置制御マネージャと、
インターネットプロトコル(IP)アドレスを含むIPメッセージを受信して、該IPメッセージがクライアント装置または同クライアント装置に結合されたインターネットにアクセス可能な装置に向けられているかどうかを判断するように動作可能な3層ルータであって、インターネットにアクセス可能な装置が、少なくとも一つの制御可能装置以外の装置である、前記3層ルータと、
3層ルータからIPメッセージを受信して、該IPメッセージがインターネットにアクセス可能な装置に向けられているときに、同インターネットにアクセス可能な装置にIPメッセージを通信するように動作可能なIP装置インターフェイスと、を含む、クライアント装置。 - 前記受信した電力制御メッセージは、関連する電力消費装置への電力の流れを無効にするように指示すべき制御可能装置のリストを含んでおり、前記受信した電力制御メッセージが、前記リスト内の制御可能装置のIPアドレスを含む、請求項11記載のクライアント装置。
- 前記受信した電力制御メッセージは、電気事業者のコントロールセンターが発行した電力削減要求に応答する、請求項12記載のクライアント装置。
- 前記3層ルータは、電源制御メッセージが、クライアント装置に向けられたIPメッセージであることを判断するように動作可能である、請求項11記載のクライアント装置。
- 電気事業者によって供給される電力の流れを管理する方法であって、該方法は、
削減すべき削減電力量と、少なくとも1つの関連する電力消費装置への電力の流れを無効にするように命令されるべき少なくとも1つの制御可能装置の識別とのうち、少なくとも一方を示す電力制御メッセージを受信するステップであって、前記電力制御メッセージは、前記電気事業者によって発行された電力削減要求に応答するものである、前記受信するステップと、
前記電力制御メッセージに応答して、少なくとも1つの電力消費装置への電力の流れを無効にさせるステップと
を含むことを特徴とする、方法。 - 前記少なくとも一つの電力消費装置への電力の流れを無効にするステップが、
前記少なくとも一つの電力消費装置への電力の流れを無効にするような電力管理コマンドを発行するステップを含む、請求項15記載の方法。 - 前記電力制御メッセージは、関連する電力消費装置への電力の流れを無効にするように指示すべき制御可能装置のリストを含んでおり、前記電力管理コマンドによって、前記リスト内で識別された制御可能装置が、関連する電力消費装置への電力の流れを無効にさせる、請求項16記載の方法。
- 前記電力制御メッセージは、電力削減イベントと関連し、前記方法は、更に、
前記少なくとも一つの電力消費装置への電力の流れを無効にした後、前記電力削減イベントの終了を示す第2の電力制御メッセージを受信するステップと、
第2の電力制御メッセージに応答して、前記少なくとも一つの電力消費装置への電力の流れを有効にするステップとを、更に含む、請求項15記載の方法。 - 前記電力制御メッセージが、前記電気事業者に通信可能に結合され且つ複数のクライアント装置を制御するシステムコントローラから受信され、
前記方法は、更に、前記システムコントローラに報告メッセージを通信するステップを含み、
