Abstract
Description
In the present invention, an electrode terminal is disposed on the outer side of the device casing, and a current collecting element that configures a power storage element and a current-carrying path between the power storage element and the electrode terminal on the inner side of the device casing. The current collector is fixed to the device housing in a state where the body is disposed and penetrates a through hole provided in the device housing, and is electrically connected to the current collector, and the energization path And the external force acting on the electrode terminal acts on the rivet member as a rotational torque around an axis passing through the apparatus housing, and the electrode terminal and the rivet member The present invention relates to power storage devices that are directly or indirectly connected.
Such a power storage device includes a device housing as a configuration of an energization path for electrically connecting an electrode terminal provided on the outer side of the device housing and a power storage element provided on the inner side of the device housing. A rivet member is disposed in the penetrating portion, and the rivet member fixes the current collector constituting the energization path in the apparatus casing to the apparatus casing.
Such a power storage device is often used by connecting a wiring member formed of a metal plate or the like called a bus bar to an electrode terminal and electrically connected to another power storage device or the like. .
When connecting a bus bar to an electrode terminal of a power storage device, for example, as described in
Therefore, for example, in the case where the electrode terminal is constituted by a male screw (bolt) as described in
When such a torsional force acts on the rivet member, a seal failure occurs in the penetrating portion of the device casing, or the joining interface of the caulking portion is slightly shifted due to the stress generated at the caulking position of the rivet member. There is a case where the electrolytic solution or corrosive gas in the casing penetrates into the part and corrodes it to increase the electrical resistance.
Furthermore, even after the bus bar is fixed to the electrode terminal, if a force is applied to the bus bar due to fluctuations in the positional relationship with the connection destination of the bus bar, the rivet member will be twisted in the same manner as described above. Similar inconvenience occurs.
For this reason, even if rotational torque is applied to a rivet member, the structure which prevents that is considered, for example, in the following cited
However, simply forming it in a shape corresponding to a detent prevents a large force from being applied to the seal member disposed at the location where the rivet member penetrates, thereby damaging the seal member.
The present invention has been made in view of such a situation, and an object of the present invention is to reliably prevent the rivet member from rotating while protecting as much as possible the seal member disposed at the piercing portion of the rivet member. is there.
According to a first aspect of the present application, an electrode terminal is disposed on the outer side of the device casing, and a power storage element and an energization path between the power storage element and the electrode terminal are provided on the inner side of the device casing. And the current collector is fixed to the device housing and electrically connected to the current collector in a state of passing through a through-hole provided in the device housing. The rivet member that constitutes the energization path is arranged, and the external force that acts on the electrode terminal acts on the rivet member as a rotational torque around an axis that penetrates the device housing. In the power storage device in which the rivet member is connected directly or indirectly, the outer shape of the rivet member in a portion penetrating the device housing is a curved shape that protrudes outward as viewed in the penetration direction. Formed in a non-circular shape having The shape of the hole is formed in a substantially similar shape to the outline of the outer shape of the rivet member at a position penetrating the apparatus housing in the penetration direction view, and between the edge of the through hole and the rivet member, A seal member is arranged and configured.
In other words, the outer shape of the rivet member at the penetration portion of the device housing is made noncircular, and the shape of the through hole on the device housing side is substantially similar to the noncircular shape, thereby acting on the rivet member. Receiving the rotational torque, the rivet member is prevented from rotating.
Furthermore, since the non-circular shape has a curved shape that protrudes outward as viewed in the penetration direction, when a rotational torque acts on the rivet member, the rivet member and the edge of the through-hole The sealing member existing between them receives the rotational torque in a wide range.
Further, according to a second invention of the present application, in addition to the configuration of the first invention, the device housing is formed in a flat shape, and the through hole intersects with a pair of flat surfaces in the device housing. An outer shape of the rivet member formed at a side surface and penetrating the apparatus housing is formed in a shape that is long in the longitudinal direction of the side surface in which the through hole is formed as viewed in the through direction.
Therefore, the outer shape of the rivet member in the portion penetrating the apparatus housing is greatly deviated from the circular shape when viewed in the penetration direction, and the rivet member can be accurately prevented from rotating.
Furthermore, even when the flat device casing is thin, it is possible to secure a sufficient volume of the rivet member serving as an energization path, and to suppress an increase in electrical resistance.
According to a third invention of the present application, in addition to the configuration of the first or second invention, an outer shape of the rivet member in a portion penetrating the apparatus housing is an elliptical shape as viewed in the penetration direction. Is formed.
In other words, the outer shape of the rivet member in the part that penetrates the device housing is an elliptical shape when viewed in the penetration direction, so that the rivet can be properly prevented from rotating and the sealing member is pressed with an elliptical curved shape. Thus, the force acting on the seal member is dispersed.
According to a fourth invention of the present application, in addition to the configuration of the first or second invention, an outer shape of the rivet member in a portion penetrating the device housing is a saddle type as viewed in the penetration direction. It is formed into a shape.
In other words, the outer shape of the rivet member in the portion penetrating the apparatus housing is a saddle shape when viewed in the penetration direction, so that the rivet can be properly prevented from rotating and the curved shape portion of the saddle shape is sealed. Since the member is pressed, the force acting on the seal member is dispersed.
In addition to the configuration of any of the first to fourth inventions, the fifth invention of the present application includes, as the electrode terminal, a connection portion for connecting to the head of the rivet member, and other A metal plate formed in a U shape is arranged by connecting a connecting portion for connecting a bus bar for electrical connection with the apparatus at a connecting portion.
In other words, the rivet member may be configured such that the electrode terminals are integrated and the connection to the bus bar is made by one member.
By configuring in this way, the configuration around the electrode terminals can be simplified, but on the other hand, the material of the connection portion with the bus bar must also be configured with the same material as that of the rivet member. Will be added.
The rivet member is often limited as to what kind of material is used in relation to other members that constitute the current-carrying path with the electricity storage element. For example, when trying to screw the bus bar, so-called In some cases, the fastening force is reduced by creep.
On the other hand, if the electrode terminal is formed as a separate member from the rivet member, the material limitation as described above can be avoided. However, due to the arrangement of the member, the installation area of the member around the electrode terminal becomes large. End up.
Therefore, by suppressing the increase in the installation area of the members around the electrode terminals, one side of the metal plate bent in a U-shape is connected to the rivet member and connected to the bus bar on the other side. be able to.
When the electrode terminal is formed on the U-shape, the rotational torque acts on the rivet member when an external force is applied to the bus bar when the bus bar is attached to the electrode terminal or after the bus bar is fixed to the electrode terminal. However, by setting the outer shape and the like of the rivet member as described above, it is possible to ensure the rotation prevention of the rivet member and the protection of the seal member.
In addition to the configuration of the fifth invention, the sixth invention of the present application is configured such that the electrode terminal and the bus bar are fixed by fastening bolts and nuts.
That is, as a method of fixing the bus bar to the electrode terminal, a method of fixing by fastening a bolt and a nut is often used.
In such a configuration, the force applied for fastening at the time of fastening work between the bolt and the nut acts on the rivet member as rotational torque.
Therefore, as described above, it is particularly effective to appropriately set the outer shape of the rivet member or the like.
According to a seventh invention of the present application, in addition to the configuration of any one of the first to sixth inventions, the seal member is erected from a flat portion along the device housing and the flat portion. A cylindrical upright portion that enters between the edge of the through hole and the rivet member is formed, and the upright portion is formed in accordance with the shape of the through hole in the through direction view. .
That is, a sealing member that hermetically seals the rivet member through the device housing is formed in a shape having a flat portion along the device housing and an upright portion that enters the through hole. It is effectively sealed.
Since the standing part in this shape is formed so as to be adapted to the shape of the above-mentioned through hole, the positioning of the sealing member can be performed simply by fitting the standing part into the through hole in the mounting operation of the seal member in the assembly work of the apparatus. It can be carried out.
According to the first aspect of the invention, by receiving rotational torque in a wide range in the seal member, the seal member disposed at the penetration portion of the rivet member is protected as much as possible, and the shape in the through direction view is not shown. As a circular shape, the rivet member can be reliably prevented from rotating.
Further, according to the second aspect of the invention, the rivet member can be properly prevented from rotating by appropriately setting the outer shape of the rivet member.
According to the third aspect of the invention, the outer shape of the rivet member in the portion penetrating the apparatus housing is an elliptical shape, thereby realizing distribution of the force acting on the seal member and accurate rivet detent. it can.
According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, the outer shape of the rivet member in the portion penetrating the apparatus housing is a saddle shape, thereby distributing the force acting on the seal member and accurately preventing the rivet from rotating. realizable.
In addition, according to the fifth aspect of the present invention, in order to connect to the bus bar, the rivet member is fixed to one side of the metal plate bent in a U-shape, so that the connection with the bus bar can be achieved. An increase in the installation area of the members around the electrode terminals can be suppressed without being restricted by material.
According to the sixth aspect of the present invention, when the bus bar is fixed to the electrode terminal by fastening the bolt and the nut, the sealing member can be protected even if rotational torque acts on the rivet member.
According to the seventh aspect of the present invention, since the seal member can be positioned simply by fitting the upright portion into the through-hole in the assembly operation of the device in the assembly operation of the apparatus, the assembly workability is improved. Can be made.

The external shape of the
In the second embodiment, as described above, the fixing
