Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a lens barrel of an image pickup apparatus, and more particularly to a lens barrel using a linear motor for driving a lens and an image pickup apparatus using the same.
As a lens barrel used for a still camera, a video camera, or the like, a lens barrel that moves with a linear motor during a zoom operation or a focus operation is known. Since the operation sound of the linear motor is almost silent, it is used particularly in an imaging device capable of shooting a moving image and its lens barrel.
FIG. 9 shows the structure of a
In FIG. 9, the
By the way, when moving a lens using a linear motor, since the motor itself does not have position information, a separate position detection device is required. As described above, as a result of a demand for a position detection device that does not emit sound during operation in response to moving images of an imaging device, a position detection device (hereinafter referred to as an MR sensor) using a non-contact type magnetoresistive element is used as a lens position. There are known methods used for detection.
A magnetoresistive element is an element that utilizes the phenomenon that the magnetoresistance value changes when a magnetic field is applied to a semiconductor thin film such as indium / antimony (InSb). This type of MR sensor is widely used for detecting the position of a magnetic recording medium in combination with a magnetic recording medium such as ferrite or a plastic magnet.
This magnetoresistive element can detect a change in the magnetic field due to the movement of the magnetic recording medium, and obtain a sine curve-like reproduction output. By processing this output waveform, the relative or absolute position of the magnetic recording medium is obtained with high accuracy.
When detecting the movement of the magnetic recording medium, the magnetoresistive element needs to adjust the distance from the magnetic recording medium appropriately. This is called a reference gap amount and is determined by the specifications of the magnetic recording medium. When the interval is wider than the reference gap amount, the output of the MR sensor is abruptly reduced. Conversely, when the interval is narrowed, the output is distorted and a sine curve reproduction output cannot be obtained. Magnetoresistive elements that are widely used in consumer and industrial equipment are provided with adjusting means that can be roughly divided into two types in order to satisfy this requirement.
The contact-type magnetoresistive element is insert-molded in a non-magnetic resin or the like, and a resin having a thickness corresponding to the reference gap amount is previously placed on the sensing surface as a spacer. Therefore, the reference gap amount can always be maintained by bringing a contact-type magnetoresistive element into close contact with the magnetic recording medium and sliding the surface of the magnetic recording medium.
This type of MR sensor is disclosed in, for example, Patent Document 1, and has a structure in which a magnetoresistive element held by a leaf spring from a fixed member is in close contact with a magnetic recording medium attached to a rotating member. ing. Such an MR sensor has the advantage that it is not necessary to adjust the reference gap amount.
On the other hand, the non-contact type magnetoresistive element has an advantage that noise and wear caused by sliding with the magnetic recording medium can be eliminated because the position can be detected without contacting the magnetic recording medium. . However, since it is necessary to adjust the reference gap amount for each individual, there is a drawback that the manufacturing cost is increased. The non-contact type magnetoresistive element is insert-molded in a non-magnetic resin or the like as in the case of the contact type magneto-resistive element, but a mechanism for mounting and adjusting the gap amount is integrally formed.
This type of MR sensor is disclosed in, for example, Patent Document 2, and has a structure in which attachment and adjustment of the gap amount can be sequentially performed.
Further, as a non-contact type MR sensor and a lens barrel using the same, for example, in Patent Document 3, the MR sensor is affected by the leakage magnetic flux from the linear motor, and the S / N ratio of the MR sensor is deteriorated. Since it may not function depending on the degree, a configuration is shown in which the linear motor is arranged symmetrically in the driving direction and the MR sensor is provided at a substantially symmetrical center position in the driving direction of the linear motor. .
Here, the MR sensor in FIG. 9 will be described. A magnetic scale 223 made of a magnetic recording medium such as ferrite is provided on the
Also, a means for detecting the absolute position of the lens is required. The above-described MR sensor can accurately detect the displacement of the object, but is not suitable for detecting the absolute position. For this reason, an accumulation error occurs due to the reciprocating driving of the lens. Therefore, control is generally performed to detect the movable end of the lens and reset the position detection by the magnetoresistive element. For this reason, in FIG. 9, a
Here, a diaphragm device in the lens barrel will be described. A lens barrel used in the imaging apparatus is provided with a diaphragm unit which is a unitized diaphragm device. The diaphragm device is generally a diaphragm device having a variable aperture diameter by driving a plurality of diaphragm blades. Since the diaphragm blades are generally driven by an actuator such as a stepping motor, there are many cases where the actuator protrudes from a diaphragm device that is thin in the optical axis direction (for example, FIG. 2 of Patent Document 4).
However, when the linear motor, the MR sensor, the optical sensor, and the aperture device configured as described above are incorporated in the lens barrel, there is a problem that each of them is large, leading to an increase in the total lens length and the lens diameter. In particular, with so-called pancake type lenses with a short overall lens length and a focusing unit and aperture unit adjacent to each other, it is difficult to reduce the size by optimally arranging the various devices described above. There are many cases to avoid.
In order to deal with such a problem, there is a method of shortening the entire lens length by disposing a diaphragm motor that is normally disposed so as to project from the diaphragm unit so as to project to the outer diameter side of the focus lens. However, at this time, the actuator used to drive the focus lens cannot use a large actuator such as a linear motor, so a small actuator such as a DC motor or a stepping motor has to be used.
Further, even if a linear motor can be used, as described above, since the MR sensor is easily affected by the leakage magnetic flux from the linear motor, the arrangement with respect to the linear motor is limited. Therefore, it is difficult to move the MR sensor freely and secure a space for the aperture motor.
Further, in the MR sensor having the configuration shown in Patent Document 3 and the lens barrel using the MR sensor, restrictions are imposed on the arrangement of the linear motor and the MR sensor, so that the degree of freedom in designing the lens barrel is lowered. This is a factor that increases the size and cost of the lens barrel. On the other hand, if the MR sensor is arranged ignoring the influence of leakage magnetic flux from the linear motor, there is a problem that normal position detection cannot be performed.
Accordingly, the present invention provides a lens barrel that is miniaturized while incorporating a linear motor, MR sensor, optical sensor, and aperture device for focus drive having the above-described configuration into the lens barrel. With the goal.
Therefore, the present invention achieves the above object by the following means. The invention described in claim 8 is characterized in that a distance between the first position detection device and the first linear motor is different from a distance between the first position detection device and the second linear motor. The lens barrel according to any one of claims 1 to 7.
According to a ninth aspect of the present invention, the second position detection device includes a detection unit provided in the lens frame and a detection unit provided in the fixed cylinder and the lens frame is at a moving end. The lens barrel according to any one of claims 1 to 8, further comprising a detection element that detects the above.
According to a tenth aspect of the present invention, in the lens barrel according to the ninth aspect, the detection element is an optical sensor.
An invention shown in claim 11 is an image pickup apparatus including the lens barrel according to any one of claims 1 to 10.
With such a configuration, the diaphragm motor of the diaphragm device can be disposed so as to enter the focus unit, which is a moving lens unit using a linear motor. At the same time, the main shaft of the focus unit can be arranged so as to protrude toward the aperture unit. That is, the portions protruding from each other unit are alternately arranged, so that the distance between the units is shortened and the overall length of the lens barrel can be shortened.
In addition, by using a magnetic shield structure for the MR sensor, the MR sensor is not affected by the leakage magnetic flux of the linear motor even in such a configuration, so the degree of freedom of arrangement of the MR sensor in the vicinity of the linear motor is improved. .
Furthermore, since the main shaft in the focus unit is arranged so as to protrude toward the aperture unit, the main shaft can be lengthened. Normally, when there are a long axis and a short axis, if the amount of misalignment at the tip of the axis is the same, the long axis is less inclined. Therefore, even if the main shaft is slightly tilted and attached, the influence of the tilt of the main shaft on the support accuracy of the focus lens can be further suppressed.
In addition, by disposing the main shaft and the sub shaft that support the lens frame in the vicinity of the linear motor, it is possible to prevent the lens frame from collapsing with respect to the shaft and to realize a highly accurate operation.
That is, according to the present invention, the linear motor for driving the focus, the MR sensor and optical sensor for detecting the position of the focus lens, and the aperture device are incorporated into the lens barrel, and the size reduction is realized in the optical axis direction and the radial direction. In addition, it is possible to provide a lens barrel that realizes highly accurate operation.

First, the configuration of the
As shown in FIG. 6, the MR sensor 3, which is a magnetoresistive element, has a
The
The spacer 11 serving as an adjustment member is inserted between the MR sensor 3 and the
FPC15は、その他端部にコネクタ15dを備え、他のFPC(ここでは、後述する駆動用フレキシブルプリントケーブル120)を接続する事ができる。
A flexible printed cable (FPC) 15 serving as a wiring member is electrically connected to the MR sensor 3 and transmits a signal output from the MR sensor 3 to a control board (not shown). The
The buffer material 5 serving as a buffer member is provided on the opposite surface of the
The fixing
The
In the
Further, in the
In addition, the use of the spacer 11 simplifies the gap amount adjustment process, and at the same time, produces an effect that the backlash and the fall of the MR sensor 3 associated with the gap amount adjustment process do not occur. In the conventional MR sensor, since the stepless adjustment is performed with screws, the
Here, the actual gap amount adjustment process of the
First, the
Subsequently, the connecting
Subsequently, the adjustment tool is operated, and a current is supplied to the
At this time, for example, when the peak voltage is smaller than the reference voltage, it can be determined that the distance between the
At this time, for example, when the peak voltage is larger than the reference voltage or the waveform is distorted to become a triangular wave, it can be determined that the distance between the
When the spacer 11 is changed, the MR sensor 3 is returned to the original position, and the fixing
As described above, the
Next, the structure of the
Inside the
The linear motor as a driving means for driving the
Here, the internal structure of the
A
A gap 99i is provided at a symmetrical position about the optical axis X of the
Next, the configuration of the
On the other surface, a
The
Next, attachment of the
That is, the present invention aims to provide a lens barrel that is miniaturized while incorporating a linear motor, MR sensor, optical sensor, and aperture device for focus drive into the lens barrel. Note that the MR sensor according to the present invention is appropriately deformed and enlarged / reduced depending on the imaging apparatus to which the present invention is applied and the lens barrel to be attached.
