Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a pressure sensor in which a housing and a connector case are assembled together and a pressure detection element is accommodated in an internal space formed between the housing and the connector case, and a pressure sensor mounting structure.
Conventionally, a pressure sensor in which a housing and a connector case are integrally assembled and a pressure detection element is provided in an internal space formed between the housing and the connector case is known (see, for example, Patent Document 1). .
Specifically, the connector case is made of a resin such as polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) and has a cylindrical shape, and includes a pin-like terminal that penetrates the resin along the central axis. And the opening part is formed in the one end part side, and the one end part of the terminal is exposed in the said opening part. Further, the housing is provided with a housing recess. The other end of the connector case opposite to the one end where the opening is formed is inserted into the housing recess, and the open end of the housing recess is caulked to the connector case so that the housing and the connector case are integrated. It has become.
An internal space is formed between the connector case and the housing, and a pressure detection element is provided in the internal space. In the internal space, the pressure detection element and the terminal are electrically connected. In such a pressure sensor, since the caulking part is exposed to the external environment, a sealing material such as a waterproofing agent is provided on the caulking part to prevent foreign matters such as water from entering the internal space. Has been placed.
The pressure sensor is used with a connector case attached to an external connector. Specifically, the external connector includes an external connector housing into which one end of the connector case in which an opening is formed is inserted, and a connector terminal that is electrically connected to the terminal. In the pressure sensor, one end of the connector case in which the opening is formed is inserted into the external connector housing, and the terminal and the connector terminal are electrically connected to each other so that an electrical connection with the outside can be achieved. It is like that. Further, a sealing material is disposed on the external connector, and when the connector case is inserted, a gap between the external connector and the connector case is sealed by the sealing material. That is, foreign matter such as water does not enter the opening of the connector case.
In the pressure sensor, a sealing material such as a waterproofing agent is disposed at the crimping portion, that is, at the boundary between the housing and the connector case so that water or other foreign matter does not enter the internal space. For this purpose, two steps of an application step and a drying step are required, so that the assembly step of the housing and the connector case becomes long, resulting in an increase in cost. Furthermore, since the sealing material may be deteriorated, there is a problem that reliability is lowered in the long term.
Further, there is a pressure sensor having the following structure as a pressure sensor that suppresses entry of foreign matters such as water from the boundary between the housing and the connector case. That is, this pressure sensor includes a cylindrical resin portion in which a connector case surrounds a cylindrical resin portion and an outer peripheral surface (side surface) on the other end side of the housing side of the resin portion and protrudes from one surface of the other end portion. And is configured. And the part which protrudes from the resin part in a metal part is welded to a housing, and the connector case and the housing are assembled | attached integrally. According to this, since the connector case is welded to the housing, it is possible to prevent foreign matters such as water from entering between the connector case and the housing.
However, in this pressure sensor, the interface between the resin part and the metal part in the connector case is exposed to the external environment, and there is a problem that foreign matters such as water enter the internal space from this interface.
In view of the above points, the present invention can suppress the entry of foreign substances such as water into the internal space, simplify the assembly process, and improve the reliability. An object is to provide a sensor mounting structure.
In order to achieve the above object, in the first aspect of the present invention, the pressure introduction hole (12a) into which the measurement medium is introduced is extended in a predetermined direction, and pressure is applied to one end side of the pressure introduction hole (12a). A housing (10) having a deformable diaphragm (13) and an electric signal corresponding to the deformation of the diaphragm (13) is provided on the opposite side of the diaphragm (13) from the pressure introduction hole (12a) side. And a terminal (22) electrically connected to the pressure detecting element (40), one end side being an opening (24) and the terminal (22 ) Is exposed in the opening (24), and the other end is joined to the housing (10) so that the pressure detection element (40) is accommodated between the housing (10) and a sealed internal space ( 30) Configured to connector case (20), a pressure sensor having, is characterized in the following points.
That is, the connector case (20) includes a resin portion (21) and a metal portion (23) that covers the outer peripheral surface of the resin portion (21), and the resin case (21) and the metal portion (23). Is located in the opening (24) and in the internal space (30).
In such a pressure sensor, the interface between the resin part (21) and the metal part (23) is located in the opening (24), and when the interface (50) is attached to the external connector (50), the opening (24). Is sealed. For this reason, it is not necessary to arrange a sealing material such as a waterproofing agent at the interface between the resin part (21) and the metal part (23), and the assembly process of the housing (10) and the connector case (20) is simplified. It is possible to suppress an increase in cost. In addition, since no sealing material is disposed, long-term reliability can be improved. The internal space (30) is sealed, and there is no need to dispose a sealing material at the interface between the metal part (23) and the resin part (21) located in the internal space (30).
Moreover, since the outer peripheral surface of the resin part (21) is covered with the metal part (23), it is not exposed to the external environment. For this reason, a material such as polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) having low environmental resistance can be used as the resin portion (21), and the cost can be reduced as compared with the case of using polyphenylene sulfide (PPS). .
Furthermore, since the connector case (20) has a resin part (21) and a metal part (23) that covers the outer peripheral surface of the resin part (21), the connector case (20) is formed of the resin part. Compared with the case where only (21) is configured, the resonance point can be increased and the vibration resistance can be improved.
The metal part (23) also has a function as an electromagnetic shield. For this reason, it can suppress that a terminal (22) functions as an antenna by covering the outer peripheral surface of a resin part (21) with a metal part (23), and external noise is included in a detection result. Can be suppressed.
For example, as in the second aspect of the invention, the housing (10) can be made of a metal material, and the metal portion (23) of the connector case (20) and the housing (10) can be joined by welding.
Further, as in the third aspect of the invention, the terminal (22) and the pressure detection element (40) can be electrically connected via the flexible printed circuit board (42).
Further, as in the invention described in claim 4, the resin portion (21) can be formed using polybutylene terephthalate.
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, there is provided a mounting structure for attaching the pressure sensor according to any one of the first to fourth aspects to an external connector (50), wherein the external connector (50) is a connector case ( 20) a cylindrical external connector housing (52) into which the connector case (20) is inserted, and a connector terminal (51) and a sealing material (53) disposed in the external connector housing (52). By being inserted into the connector housing (52), the terminal (22) and the connector terminal (51) are electrically connected, and the connector case (20) and the external connector housing (52) are sealed by the sealing material (53). A gap between them is sealed, and the opening (24) is sealed.
In this case, it is preferable that the interface between the resin part (21) and the metal part (23) is located in the sealed opening (24) as in the invention described in claim 6.
In addition, the code | symbol in the bracket | parenthesis of each means described in this column and the claim shows the correspondence with the specific means as described in embodiment mentioned later.
(First embodiment)
A first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating a cross-sectional configuration of a pressure sensor according to the present embodiment. The pressure sensor in the present embodiment is preferably used for detecting pressure in a common rail fuel pipe, for example.
As shown in FIG. 1, the pressure sensor is configured such that a
The
The
Further, a
A
As the
The
The
The
Each terminal 22 has a pin shape extending in the vertical direction, and penetrates the
The
The other end of the
The
On the one end portion side of the surface of the

The above is the configuration of the pressure sensor in the present embodiment. Next, an attachment structure in which such a pressure sensor is attached to an external connector such as an electronic control unit (ECU) mounted on the vehicle will be described. FIG. 2 is a schematic sectional view showing a structure for attaching the pressure sensor to the external connector in the present embodiment.
The
The
The
A pressure sensor is attached to the
As described above, in the pressure sensor, the interface between the
Further, since the outer peripheral surface of the
Furthermore, since the
The
