Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a ground exploration system, and more particularly to a ground exploration system using a multi-measuring instrument using mu particles that measure the density distribution of the ground.
Recently, due to aging infrastructure in urban areas, cavities are generated in the ground, which has become a social problem. Therefore, research on ground exploration systems that investigate the existence of these cavities has been conducted.
For example, in the invention described in
In addition, in the
By the way, in order to investigate the cavities caused by the aging of infrastructure in urban areas, it is important not to be affected by noise and without occupying the surface.
However, it is difficult to say that the conventional survey methods have been successful enough in urban areas due to unpredictable traffic vibrations, factory vibrations, or electrical noise from power transmission lines. Furthermore, in order to occupy the road on the surface, traffic regulation is indispensable because it occupies the road, and there is a concern that traffic congestion will occur.
The invention described in
According to the ground exploration system using the scintillation detector described in
In contrast, in order to detect cosmic muons from multiple directions at the same time, it is necessary to prepare a plurality of combinations of two scintillators spaced apart by a predetermined distance, which increases the configuration and costs. There was a problem of increasing.
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to provide a ground exploration system using a multi-measuring instrument using mu particles that can measure in a plurality of directions simultaneously with a simple configuration.
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a first detector for detecting cosmic ray muons and a plurality of second detectors that detect the cosmic ray muons and are arranged at different positions. When the cosmic ray muon is detected by any one of the second detectors at the same timing as the detector and the first detector detects the cosmic ray muon, the detection is performed. Cosmic ray muons that count the number of cosmic ray muons for each traveling path by counting that the cosmic muon is a straight line connecting the first detector and the second detector. Cosmic ray muon distribution acquisition means for determining the position distribution and angular distribution of the cosmic ray muon based on the counting means, and the number of cosmic ray muons per traveling path counted by the cosmic ray muon counting unit; Obtaining the distribution Characterized in that and a tomographic analysis means for performing tomographic analysis on the basis of the position and angular distributions of cosmic ray muons obtained in stage.
According to the present invention, the first detector is a spherical scintillator.
According to the present invention, each of the plurality of second detectors is a disc-shaped scintillator, and a straight line connecting a circle center of the disk of the second detector and a sphere center of the first detector. The first detector and the second detector are arranged such that the first detector and the circular surface of the disc of the second detector are perpendicular to each other.
Further, the present invention is characterized in that a diameter of a sphere of the first detector is substantially equal to a diameter of a circle of the plurality of second detectors.
According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a ground exploration system using a multi-measuring instrument using mu particles that enables simultaneous measurement in a plurality of directions with a simple configuration.
Hereinafter, embodiments for carrying out the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing the configuration of an embodiment of a ground exploration system using a multi-measuring instrument using mu particles according to the present invention.
As can be seen with reference to FIG. 1, the
The
The
A shaft 8 is provided at the center position of the
The
A shaft 8 that supports the frame 7 is mounted on and fixed to the
The frame 7 is rotated around the shaft 8 by a driving means such as a motor (not shown). The rotation angle of the frame 7 is detected by the
The
The
The
According to the present embodiment,
Thereafter, when the angular position of the frame 7 is changed, when the angular interval between the child scintillators is set to 15 ° as described above, for example, by changing it to 0 ° 5 ° 10 °, an angular direction that does not overlap in all directions. The cosmic ray muon can be counted.
Further, the position distribution of the cosmic ray mu particles can be obtained by changing the position of the

As described above, for example, plastic scintillators can be used as the

Further, as shown in FIG. 2, the

On the other hand, when only one of the detection signal from the

In FIG. 5, the same components as those in the embodiment shown in FIG.

FIG. 6 is a schematic side sectional view showing an example of a measurement range by the ground exploration system according to the embodiment of the present invention shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. Hereinafter, the
In this embodiment, the
It is known that the number of cosmic ray muons decreases when they pass through the ground. The longer the distance from the surface, the smaller the number of cosmic ray muons. However, if there is a cavity in the passage path in the ground, the number of cosmic ray muons will not be reduced by that amount.
By changing the measurement position (observation point) and the angular position of the frame 7 in the tunnel, the number of cosmic ray muons at each position and in each direction can be obtained, thereby analyzing the state of the ground cavity. Data applicable to tomographic analysis can be acquired.
This is similar to normal tomography rotated 90 degrees. That is, the ground surface and the mine shaft of the present embodiment correspond to a normal tomographic boring hole.
The transmission characteristics of cosmic ray muons in a substance depend on the product of the density of the substance and the transmission distance and the zenith angle. Since this characteristic is already known, detailed description thereof is omitted here.
In the
FIG. 7 is a diagram showing the angular distribution dependence of muons due to cavities in the ground, (a) is a side sectional view showing the state of the ground, and (b) is a view of point A shown in (a). It is a graph which shows the simultaneous passage number of the cosmic ray muon in each angle position, (c) is a graph which shows the simultaneous passage number of the cosmic ray muon in each angular position of B point shown to (a). .
In the graphs of FIGS. 7B and 7C, the vertical axis is the zenith angle (the arrival direction angle of the mu particle when the top is zero degrees), and the horizontal axis is the count rate, that is, the cosmic ray muon simultaneous. The total number of passages per day.
Cosmic ray muons have a reduced transmission (count) rate as the density and transmission distance increase. Conversely, if there is a cavity (because the density is small even at the same transmission distance), the transmittance increases.
If there is no cavity in the ground, the characteristics shown by the solid lines in FIGS. 7B and 7C are shown. However, if there is a cavity as shown in FIG. At the angular position passing through, the number of simultaneous passes increases more than when there is no cavity. That is, in the case of a homogeneous ground, the coincidence count changes according to the angle, but it can be confirmed that the counting rate increases in a place with a cavity because the permeability of the cosmic ray muon is good.
As shown in FIG. 7 (b), at point A, the transmittance increases as indicated by a broken line in the range of zenith angle from 25 degrees to 55 degrees, and as shown in FIG. The transmittance increases in the range of 30 to 50 degrees as shown by the broken line. By observing in this way by changing the position, the position of the cavity can be narrowed down to a certain extent.
In the examples shown in FIGS. 7A, 7B, and 7C, the measurement results of only two points are shown. However, by collecting data at more measurement points, more accurate tomography Analysis is possible.

In the
(S−2)。 Subsequently, when the ground is the model set in step (S-1), the theoretical value of the cosmic ray muon that will be observed is calculated (S-2).
(S−3)。 Subsequently, the difference (residual) between the theoretical value calculated in step (S-2) and the data already acquired at each position is calculated (S-3).
Subsequently, if the residual calculated in step (S-3) is within the predetermined allowable range (S-4: Yes), the result is displayed (S-6) and the process is terminated.
In step (S-4), if the residual calculated in step (S-3) is not within the predetermined tolerance (S-4: No), the model is modified (S-5), Returning to (S-2), the process is repeated.
According to the
Another example of such visualization will be described with reference to FIG.
FIG. 9A is a side sectional view showing an example of the initial model, and FIG. 9B is a state in which the cosmic ray mu particles are counted by changing the position and angle, that is, the transmittance of the cosmic ray mu particles is measured. FIG. 9C is a side sectional view showing the density distribution of the ground as a result of the tomographic analysis, and FIG. 9D is a diagram of 3 measured by measuring a plurality of cross sections. It is a perspective view which shows the application to dimension visualization.
FIG. 9A is a cross section obtained by a normal geological survey, and for some reason (for example, aging of the tunnel), there is a concern about the generation of cavities. Therefore, the position distribution, angle distribution measurement, and tomography analysis of the cosmic ray muon described above are performed using FIG. 9A as an initial model (see FIGS. 9B and 9C).
Further, by measuring with a plurality of cross sections, it is possible to expand to three dimensions as shown in FIG.
