Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an optical system such as an illumination system, a mirror, and an imaging lens, and an integrated scanning optical unit in which an image sensor such as a CCD is accommodated in a carriage case, an image reading apparatus equipped with the integrated scanning optical unit, and an image The present invention relates to a forming apparatus.
Conventionally, as this type of integrated scanning optical unit, a technique is known in which an illumination system is disposed above the integrated scanning optical unit for the purpose of reducing variation in illuminance distribution in the sub-scanning direction and shielding flare light. (For example, refer to
Specifically, in the integrated scanning optical unit disclosed in
However, in the integrated scanning optical units of
Therefore, there is a technology in which a point light source is provided on a substrate on which an image sensor is mounted, and this point light source is disposed outside the side surface portion of the carriage case to suppress an increase in thickness of the integrated scanning optical unit. It is known (see, for example, Patent Documents 3 and 4).
This eliminates the point light source arrangement space required above the carriage case, so that the thickness of the carriage case can be reduced and the mirror can be arranged efficiently. For example, since a part of the mirror can be positioned in the area where the point light source has been arranged, an optical path can be gained.
However, in the techniques described in Patent Documents 3 and 4, since both the image sensor and the point light source are mounted on a common substrate, if the position of the substrate is changed in order to adjust the position of the image sensor, Since the position of the point light source also changes together with the image sensor, the illuminance distribution with respect to the document reading position is shifted from the appropriate state of FIG. 22A, and the center of the illuminance distribution is shifted from the document reading position as shown in FIG. There was a problem that it was in an inappropriate state.
The present invention has been made to solve such a problem, and is capable of suppressing an increase in the thickness of the carriage case and adjusting an illuminance distribution with respect to a document reading position, an integrated scanning optical unit, an image reading device, An image forming apparatus is provided.

Characterized by comprising a modifiable light guide member according to.
With this configuration, since the substrate on which the point light source and the image sensor are mounted is arranged outside the side surface of the carriage case, an increase in the thickness of the carriage case can be suppressed. In addition, since the light guide member that guides the light from the point light source to the document reading position can change at least one of the relative position or the posture with respect to the point light source, the illuminance distribution with respect to the document reading position can be adjusted.
Therefore, an increase in the thickness of the carriage case can be suppressed, and the illuminance distribution with respect to the document reading position can be adjusted.
In the integrated scanning optical unit according to the present invention, the light guide member is disposed on a reading optical axis perpendicular to the reading position, and first receives reflected light from the document among the plurality of mirrors. It is characterized by being arranged above one mirror.
With this configuration, the light emitted from the point light source can be guided to the target position by the light guide member, so that the document surface can be efficiently irradiated and the size of the carriage case in the width direction can be reduced. it can.
In the integrated scanning optical unit according to the present invention, the light guide member is disposed between the substrate and a lateral side surface of the carriage case.
With this configuration, since the light guide member can be disposed without increasing the distance between the lateral side surface of the carriage case and the image sensor, the width of the carriage case in the moving direction (sub-scanning direction) can be made compact.
Further, in the integrated scanning optical unit according to the present invention, the light guide member is screwed by a fastening member from the back surface of the substrate and fixed to the substrate, and the substrate is close to the document reading position and It is formed in the shape of a long hole having a long diameter in the separating direction, and has an insertion hole through which the fastening member is inserted when the light guide member is fixed.
With this configuration, since the position of the light guide member can be adjusted by loosening the fastening member, the illuminance distribution of the irradiation light from the point light source at the document reading position can be maintained in an appropriate state.
The integrated scanning optical unit according to the present invention is characterized in that the light guide member has a scale for position adjustment at a position facing the insertion hole of the substrate.
With this configuration, the operator can easily and accurately adjust the position of the light guide member by visually checking the scale through the insertion hole from the side where the fastening member is fastened.
In the integrated scanning optical unit according to the present invention, the light guide member is disposed closer to the point light source than the reading optical axis, and guides light from the point light source to a document reading position by external reflection. It consists of a reflecting plate.
With this configuration, it is possible to satisfactorily irradiate the document reading position by the reflecting plate that guides the light from the point light source to the document reading position by external reflection.
In the integrated scanning optical unit according to the present invention, the reflected light component reflected toward the periphery of the point light source by the reflecting plate is guided to the document reading position by external reflection around the point light source on the substrate. A sub-reflection portion is provided.
With this configuration, light loss is reduced and light efficiency is improved, so that the number of point light sources and current consumption can be reduced.
In the integrated scanning optical unit according to the present invention, the light guide member is disposed closer to the point light source than the reading optical axis, and guides light from the point light source to a document reading position by internal reflection. In the integrated scanning optical unit according to the present invention, the light guide plate is supported by the carriage case.
With this configuration, since the position of the light guide plate with respect to the reading position does not change even if the position of the point light source changes, the position adjustment of the light guide plate can be made unnecessary.
In the integrated scanning optical unit according to the present invention, the light from the point light source is placed on the outer surface at a position between the point light source and the light guide plate and surrounding a light path from the point light source to the light guide plate. With this configuration, the light from the point light source is guided to the light guide plate by the reflecting member without diffusing, so that the point light source moves away from the carriage case for optical adjustment, and the distance between the point light source and the light guide plate is increased. Even in the case of being away, it is possible to prevent the light incident on the light guide plate from being reduced and the efficiency from being lowered.
In the integrated scanning optical unit according to the present invention, the light guide member is supported by the carriage case at a position facing the point light source with the reading optical axis in between, and the light from the point light source It is characterized by comprising a counter reflecting plate that guides light directed to the facing position to the original reading position by external reflection.
With this configuration, it is possible to irradiate the original document surface from both sides of the reading optical axis with direct light from the point light source and reflected light from the counter reflector. Occurrence can be prevented.
In the integrated scanning optical unit according to the present invention, the counter reflector is supported by the carriage case so that the axis of the counter reflector can rotate via a rotation shaft in the main scanning direction.
With this configuration, the illuminance distribution can be optimized by adjusting the direction of the reflected light from the counter reflector by rotating the counter reflector to change the angle.
An image reading apparatus according to the present invention includes the integrated scanning optical unit described above, and a moving unit that relatively moves the integrated scanning optical unit and the document in the sub-scanning direction. To do.

(First embodiment)
First, the configuration of the first embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS.
As shown in FIG. 1, the

The sheet that has passed through the secondary transfer nip is separated from the
The

On the other hand, when reading the image of the
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the
The
Hereinafter, the details of the integrated scanning
As shown in FIG. 4, the integrated scanning
The point
For this reason, the arrangement space for the point
As shown in FIG. 5, the point
The
Further, the
The
As shown in FIG. 6, the
The
In this embodiment, since both the
That is, as shown in FIG. 8A, from the proper state where the center of the illuminance distribution coincides with the reading position of the document, as shown in FIG. 8B, the center of the illuminance distribution is the reading position of the document. It will change to a state deviated from.
Therefore, when there is a deviation in the illuminance distribution of the point
As shown in FIG. 9, a
As shown in FIG. 10, a
By providing the
In the present embodiment, a top view type is used as the point

(Second Embodiment)
A second embodiment will be described. The second embodiment differs from the first embodiment in that light from the point
As shown in FIG. 11, in the integrated scanning
The
In addition, the
The
Note that the method of fixing the
Here, in the integrated scanning
As shown in FIG. 12, when the angle at which the
In this embodiment, since the point
That is, similarly to the first embodiment, as shown in FIG. 8A, from an appropriate state where the center of the illuminance distribution coincides with the reading position of the document, as shown in FIG. The center of the illuminance distribution is shifted to a state where the center of the illuminance distribution is shifted from the reading position of the document (a distribution having a peak on the left side). An illuminance distribution having an inclination near the reading position as shown in FIG. 8B is not desirable because it causes density unevenness in the read image.
Therefore, as shown in FIGS. 13A and 13B, the
Thereby, since the position of the
Also in this embodiment, the operator can adjust the position and amount of movement of the
As shown in FIG. 14, a
Therefore, as compared with the case where the position of the
As for the configuration for attaching the
In the integrated scanning
In this embodiment, since both the
Therefore, by providing the reflecting
In the present embodiment, a top view type is used as the point
As described above, in the integrated scanning
With this configuration, it is possible to satisfactorily irradiate the document reading position by the
In the integrated scanning
With this configuration, even if the position of the point
In the integrated scanning
With this configuration, the light from the point
(Third embodiment)
A third embodiment will be described. The third embodiment is different from the first and second embodiments in that the light from the point
As shown in FIG. 16, in the integrated scanning
The
By providing the
That is, the direct light from the point
The configuration for fixing the
In FIG. 18, the
As shown in FIGS. 19A and 19B, the
In order to prevent the posture of the
Here, in the integrated scanning
When the position of the
Therefore, in the present embodiment, by adjusting the posture of the
As described above, in the integrated scanning
With this configuration, it is possible to satisfactorily irradiate the document surface from both sides of the reading optical axis by the direct light from the point
Further, in the integrated scanning
