Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an optical fiber tape core wire in which a plurality of optical fibers arranged in parallel are connected, and an optical cable having the optical fiber tape core wire.
2. Description of the Related Art An optical fiber ribbon is known as a plurality of optical fibers arranged in parallel in a parallel row, and the plurality of optical fibers covered and integrated with a tape material. When such an optical fiber ribbon is used, it is necessary to perform a single-fiber separation operation not only at the end of the optical fiber ribbon but also at an intermediate portion of the optical fiber ribbon.
In order to improve the workability at the time of single fiber separation in the middle part of the optical fiber ribbon, a plurality of single optical fibers are arranged in parallel in a tape shape, and the connecting part for connecting these optical fibers in the longitudinal direction. An optical fiber ribbon provided intermittently is known. Such an optical fiber tape core wire can easily perform a single core separation operation by taking out the optical fiber from a non-connecting portion (single core portion) between connecting portions provided intermittently.
For example, an optical fiber tape core wire described in
An optical fiber ribbon in which a connecting portion for connecting a plurality of optical fibers arranged in parallel in a row is intermittently provided in the longitudinal direction can improve the single-core separation characteristic in the intermediate portion as described above. . However, in the conventional one, since the optical fibers are connected in a state in which a plurality of optical fibers are simply arranged in parallel, the appearance of all the optical fibers in the longitudinal direction is uniformly maintained in the longitudinal direction. For this reason, there is a problem that it is difficult to distinguish between the connecting portion and the single core portion, and it takes time to take out a desired optical fiber in the intermediate branching operation.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described circumstances, and has a configuration in which a connecting portion for connecting parallel optical fibers is intermittently provided in the longitudinal direction, and makes it easy to identify a single core portion between the connecting portions. An object of the present invention is to provide an optical fiber ribbon with improved branching workability.
An optical fiber ribbon according to the present invention includes a plurality of optical fibers arranged in a row and a connecting portion that connects adjacent optical fibers, and the connecting portions are provided intermittently in the longitudinal direction of each optical fiber. Therefore, at least one of the plurality of optical fibers is twisted. Moreover, the optical cable by this invention has said optical fiber tape core wire.
According to the optical fiber ribbon of the present invention, the connecting portion for connecting the optical fibers arranged in a row is intermittently provided in the longitudinal direction, so that the single core portion between the connecting portions can be easily identified and the intermediate branch can be made. Workability can be improved. Moreover, an optical cable can be comprised using said optical fiber tape core wire.

The connecting
Here, in each connecting
With such a configuration, the portions connected by the connecting

Here, in the second configuration example, unlike the first configuration example, in the width direction of the

FIG. 4 shows the evaluation results according to the first configuration example shown in FIG. 1, and FIG. 5 shows the evaluation results according to the second configuration example shown in FIG.

As an evaluation of the floating of a single optical fiber, “Large” means that the operator can pick up the optical fiber ribbon that has been lifted when the optical fiber ribbon is held almost straight in the air without tension. , “Medium” means that the operator can pick up the optical fiber ribbon that has been lifted when the optical fiber ribbon is bent, and “Small” means that the optical fiber is bent when the optical fiber ribbon is bent. To the extent that can be visually identified.
Moreover, about work time, the average value of the time required for picking and taking out the 2nd center (2nd from an edge part) from the 500-mm length 4-core optical fiber ribbon with five different workers is shown.
As shown in FIG. 4, in the first configuration example, in Examples a1 to a2, when the connecting portion and the single-core portion are 50 mm and the twist amount is 0.2 rotation / m, the single-core wire is lifted up Was “small” and the removal work time was 8-9 seconds. As in Examples a3 and a4, even when the amount of twist is 0.2 rotation / m, if the connecting part is 10 mm and the single core part is 200 mm, the lifted state becomes “medium” and the takeout time is 5 seconds. Become. It can be said that since the single core part became long, the single core part was easily lifted.
In Example a5, the connecting portion is 30 mm, the single core portion is 100 mm, and the twist amount is 5 rotations / m. The amount of lifting is “medium” and the removal work time is 5 seconds.
Further, in Examples a6 and a7, when the twisting amount was set to 10 revolutions / m, the floating amount was further increased and became “large”, and the removal work time was 4 seconds and 3 seconds, respectively.
In the comparative example c1, the length of the connecting
From this result, when the length of the connecting portion is 10 to 50 mm and the length of the single core portion between the connecting portions is in the range of 50 to 200 mm, the twist amount of the optical fiber is in the range of 0.2 to 10 rotations / m. It is preferable that
Next, the evaluation result of the second configuration example will be described with reference to FIG. In Examples b1 to b2, when the connecting portion and the single core portion are 50 mm and the twist amount is 0.2 rotation / m, the single core wire is lifted “small”, and the removal work time is 7 to 10 seconds. As in Examples b3 and b4, even when the twisting amount is 0.2 rotation / m, if the connecting portion is 10 mm and the single core portion is 300 mm, the lifted state becomes “medium”, and the removal time is 5-6. Second. It can be said that since the single core part became long, the single core part was easily lifted.
In Example b5, the connecting portion is 30 mm, the single core portion is 100 mm, and the twist amount is 5 rotations / m. The amount of lifting is “medium” and the removal work time is 5 seconds.
Further, in Examples b6 and b7, by setting the twist amount to 10 revolutions / m, the lift amount is further increased, and the evaluations are “medium to large” and “large”, respectively, and the removal work time is 4 seconds. 3 seconds.
From this result, when the length of the connecting portion is 10 to 50 mm and the length of the single core portion between the connecting portions is in the range of 50 to 300 mm, the twist amount of the optical fiber is in the range of 0.2 to 10 rotations / m. It is preferable that
