Description
The present invention relates to an electric vehicle and a voltage control method therefor, and more specifically, a battery voltage system including an electric motor that inputs and outputs driving power, a secondary battery, a reactor, and a switching element, to which a secondary battery is connected. A booster circuit that boosts the voltage of the vehicle and supplies it to a drive voltage system to which an electric motor is connected, and an air conditioner that performs air conditioning of the passenger compartment using electric power from the battery voltage system, and the voltage of the drive voltage system is The present invention relates to an electric vehicle that controls a switching element of a booster circuit so as to obtain a target voltage corresponding to a driving condition of the vehicle, and a voltage control method for such an electric vehicle.
Conventionally, as this type of electric vehicle, an eco switch is used in a vehicle including an engine, a generator, a battery, a motor for traveling, a converter that boosts the voltage of the battery and supplies the motor to the motor, and an eco switch. When ON, the voltage upper limit value after boosting by the converter is changed to a second upper limit value lower than the first upper limit value when the eco switch is OFF, and in this state when the remaining capacity of the battery falls below the threshold value There has been proposed one that switches the voltage upper limit value after boosting by the converter from the second upper limit value to the first upper limit value (see, for example, Patent Document 1). In this vehicle, the above-described control avoids a situation in which the remaining capacity of the battery greatly breaks the lower limit of the appropriate range while improving fuel efficiency.
The battery further includes a battery, a boost converter that boosts the voltage of the battery, and an inverter that converts the boosted DC voltage into a three-phase AC voltage, and boosts the boosted voltage so that the boosted voltage decreases when the cooling system is abnormal. A device that controls the converter and the inverter and limits the traveling speed of the vehicle has also been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 2). This technology reduces the voltage after boosting and suppresses both the DC component and the ripple component of the current flowing through the reactor of the boost converter, thereby suppressing the reactor heat generation and preventing the reactor from being damaged by overheating. Yes.
In an electric vehicle including a booster circuit that boosts the voltage of a secondary battery and supplies the boosted voltage to an electric motor, an air conditioner that performs air conditioning in a passenger compartment is often driven using electric power from the secondary battery. The life of this air conditioner depends on the outside air temperature, vehicle speed, load, etc., as usage conditions, but if there is a pulsating component (ripple component) in the current applied to the air conditioner, the amplitude of the ripple component is large. Depends on the service life. In particular, if the amplitude of the ripple component is large when the load of the air conditioner is large, it is considered that the life thereof is shortened. On the other hand, it is necessary to secure electric power necessary for driving the vehicle and to protect the booster circuit.
The main object of the electric vehicle and the voltage control method thereof according to the present invention is to suppress the shortening of the life of the air conditioner mounted on the electric vehicle.
The electric vehicle and the voltage control method thereof according to the present invention employ the following means in order to achieve the main object described above.
The electric vehicle of the present invention is
A drive voltage system having a motor connected to the motor by boosting a voltage of a battery voltage system having a motor that inputs and outputs driving power, a secondary battery, a reactor, and a switching element and connected to the secondary battery A booster circuit for supplying air to the vehicle, an air conditioner for air conditioning the passenger compartment using electric power from the battery voltage system, and the booster circuit so that the voltage of the drive voltage system becomes a target voltage according to the driving conditions of the vehicle A voltage control means for controlling the switching element of the electric vehicle,
When the load of the air conditioner is greater than or equal to a predetermined load, the voltage control means is configured to increase the current of the battery voltage system in accordance with the boosting by the booster circuit compared to when the load of the air conditioner is less than the predetermined load. Means for controlling the switching element of the booster circuit so that the amplitude of the ripple component (pulsation component) generated in the step is within a small range.
It is characterized by that.
In the electric vehicle according to the present invention, when the load of the air conditioner that performs air conditioning in the passenger compartment using the electric power from the battery voltage system to which the secondary battery is connected exceeds the predetermined load, the load of the air conditioner is the predetermined load. The amplitude of the ripple component (pulsation component) generated in the current of the battery voltage system due to the boosting by the boosting circuit that boosts the voltage of the battery voltage system and supplies it to the drive voltage system to which the motor is connected Is controlled so as to be within a small range. As a result, it is possible to suppress inconvenience due to the large amplitude of the ripple component generated in the current of the battery voltage system when the load of the air conditioner is larger than the predetermined load, that is, the inconvenience that the life of the air conditioner is shortened.
In such an electric vehicle according to the present invention, the voltage control means is configured such that when the load of the air conditioner is greater than or equal to the predetermined load, the voltage of the drive voltage system is VH and the voltage of the battery voltage system is VL ( VH−VL) is means for controlling the switching element of the booster circuit so that the amplitude of the ripple component is within a small range by setting the boost ratio calculated as VH−VL) / VH outside the predetermined range including the value 0.5. Can also be. The amplitude ΔI of the ripple component of the current in the battery voltage system is calculated by the following equation (1), where L is the inductance of the reactor and fc is the frequency (carrier frequency) at the time of switching of the switching element. Is the maximum when the value is 0.5. As described above, if the amplitude of the ripple component of the current of the battery voltage system is large, the life of the air conditioner is shortened. Therefore, the switching element of the boost circuit is controlled so that the boost ratio is outside the predetermined range including the value 0.5. By doing so, it is possible to boost the voltage within a range where the amplitude of the ripple component of the current of the battery voltage system does not become maximum (a range smaller than the maximum range), and it is possible to suppress the shortening of the life of the air conditioner. Of course, when the load of the air conditioner is less than the predetermined load, the switching element of the booster circuit is not controlled so that the boost ratio is out of the predetermined range including the value 0.5. The voltage of the voltage system can be boosted and supplied to the drive voltage system, and the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle can be ensured. The voltage control means may be means for controlling a switching element of the booster circuit so that the boost ratio is less than 0.3 when the load of the air conditioner is not less than the predetermined load. it can. In this way, boosting can be suppressed, which can contribute to improvement in energy efficiency.
In the electric vehicle according to the aspect of the invention, the voltage control unit may be configured such that when the load of the air conditioner is equal to or higher than the predetermined load, the switching element is less than when the load of the air conditioner is less than the predetermined load. The switching element of the booster circuit may be controlled by increasing the switching frequency so that the amplitude of the ripple component is within a small range. As shown in the equation (1) described above, by increasing the frequency (carrier frequency) fc at the time of switching of the switching element, it is possible to boost within a range where the amplitude of the ripple component of the current of the battery voltage system is small. It is possible to suppress the life of the air conditioner from being shortened. In this case, when the load of the air conditioner becomes equal to or higher than the predetermined load, the voltage control means sets the frequency to 20% or more of the frequency of the switching element when the load of the air conditioner becomes less than the predetermined load. It can also be a means for controlling the switching element of the booster circuit so that the amplitude of the ripple component falls within a small range by increasing it.
In the electric vehicle according to the aspect of the invention, the voltage control unit may determine that the load of the air conditioner is greater than or equal to the predetermined load when the current flowing through the air conditioner is greater than or equal to a predetermined current in the battery voltage system. Can be a means for controlling the switching element of the booster circuit so as to be within a small range, and includes an outside air temperature detecting means for detecting an outside air temperature, and the voltage control means detects the detected A means for controlling the switching element of the booster circuit so that the amplitude of the ripple component is within a small range, assuming that the load of the air conditioner becomes equal to or higher than the predetermined load when the outside air temperature is equal to or higher than the predetermined outside air temperature. It can also be.
The electric vehicle according to the present invention further includes an element temperature detection unit that detects an element temperature that is a temperature of the switching element, and the voltage control unit includes a predetermined element temperature at which the detected element temperature is lower than an allowable temperature of the switching element. When the load of the air conditioner becomes greater than or equal to the predetermined load when the temperature is less than, the switching element of the booster circuit is controlled so that the amplitude of the ripple component is within a small range, and the detected element temperature is the predetermined element temperature When the load of the air conditioner becomes less than the predetermined load when the temperature is less than or when the detected element temperature is equal to or higher than the predetermined element temperature, the voltage of the drive voltage system is not limited regardless of the amplitude range of the ripple component. It may be a means for controlling the switching element of the booster circuit so as to achieve a target voltage according to the driving conditions of the vehicle. That. In this way, it is possible to suppress overheating of the switching element.
In the electrically powered vehicle of the present invention, the voltage control means is configured such that the ripple component is applied when the load of the air conditioner becomes equal to or greater than the predetermined load when the vehicle speed is less than a predetermined vehicle speed determined in advance to determine that the vehicle speed is relatively low. When the vehicle speed is less than the predetermined vehicle speed and the load of the air conditioner is less than the predetermined load and when the vehicle speed is greater than or equal to the predetermined vehicle speed. It may be a means for controlling the switching element of the booster circuit so that the voltage of the driving voltage system becomes a target voltage corresponding to the driving condition of the vehicle regardless of the amplitude range of the ripple component. In this way, it is possible to prevent the life of the air conditioner from being shortened by limiting the ripple component amplitude within a small range without limiting the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle.

In the voltage control method for an electric vehicle according to the present invention, when the load of the air conditioner that performs air conditioning of the passenger compartment using the electric power from the battery voltage system to which the secondary battery is connected exceeds a predetermined load, Ripple component (pulsation) generated in the current of the battery voltage system due to boosting by the boosting circuit that boosts the voltage of the battery voltage system and supplies it to the drive voltage system to which the motor is connected compared to when the load becomes less than the predetermined load The switching element of the booster circuit is controlled so that the amplitude of the component is within a small range. As a result, it is possible to suppress inconvenience due to the large amplitude of the ripple component generated in the current of the battery voltage system when the load of the air conditioner is larger than the predetermined load, that is, the inconvenience that the life of the air conditioner is shortened.
In such a voltage control method for an electric vehicle according to the present invention, when the load of the air conditioner exceeds the predetermined load, the voltage of the drive voltage system is VH and the voltage of the battery voltage system is VL (VH− The switching element of the booster circuit is controlled so that the amplitude of the ripple component is within a small range by setting the boost ratio calculated as VL) / VH outside the predetermined range including the value 0.5. You can also. As described above, the amplitude ΔI of the ripple component of the current of the battery voltage system is calculated by the equation (1) and becomes the maximum when the boost ratio is 0.5. By controlling the switching element of the booster circuit so that it is outside the predetermined range including, it is possible to boost in a range where the amplitude of the ripple component of the battery voltage system current is not maximized (a range smaller than the maximum range), It can suppress that the lifetime of an air conditioner becomes short.

Next, the operation of the
When the step-up control routine is executed, the

When it is determined in step S130 that the air conditioner current Iac is equal to or greater than the predetermined current Iacref, it is determined that the load of the

If it is determined in step S150 that the boost ratio Duty is greater than the threshold value Dref, it is determined that if the high voltage system voltage VH is set to the target voltage VH *, the life of the

Next, a hybrid vehicle 20E as a second embodiment will be described. Except for the hardware configuration of the hybrid vehicle 20E of the second embodiment and the operation by the boost control routine, the operation is the same as the hardware configuration and operation of the
When the step-up control routine is executed, the
Next, whether or not the air conditioner current Iac is equal to or greater than a predetermined current Iacref set in advance to determine that the load of the
On the other hand, when it is determined in steps S220 and S230 that the air conditioner current Iac is equal to or higher than the predetermined current Iacref and the element temperature Tdd is determined to be lower than the predetermined temperature Tddref, the carrier frequency fc is 20% higher than the normally used frequency fc1. A large frequency fc2 is set (step S250), and switching control of the transistors T31 and T32 of the
