Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の表示装置は、複数の画素部を含む表示パネルと、反転方式によって、データ電圧が次のフレームのデータ電圧の極性と基準電圧に対して同一な極性の第1フレームで、表示パネルの画素部に基準電圧と第1電位差を有する第1データ電圧を出力し、データ電圧が次のフレームのデータ電圧の極性と基準電圧に対して反転した極性の第2フレームで、画素部に基準電圧と第1電位差より小さい第2電位差を有する第2データ電圧を出力するパネル駆動部と、を備える。これにより、データ電圧の極性反転方式によるダウンキャパシタのシェアリング電圧が考慮され、左眼用データ及び右眼用データが補償されて左眼用映像と右眼用映像との輝度偏差を改善することができる。また、反転信号を変更して左眼用映像と右眼用映像との輝度偏差を均一にすることで表示品質を向上させることができる。

Claims (10)
- 複数の画素部を含む表示パネルと、
反転方式によって、データ電圧が次のフレームのデータ電圧の極性と基準電圧に対して同一な極性の第1フレームで前記画素部に前記基準電圧と第1電位差を有する第1データ電圧を出力し、データ電圧が次のフレームのデータ電圧の極性と基準電圧に対して反転した極性の第2フレームで前記画素部に前記基準電圧と前記第1電位差より小さい第2電位差を有する第2データ電圧を出力するパネル駆動部と、を備えることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記画素部は、
第1サブ領域に形成され、第1スイッチング素子を通じてデータ配線及び第nゲート配線(nは自然数)に接続された第1液晶キャパシタと、
第2サブ領域に形成され、第2スイッチング素子を通じて前記データ配線及び前記第nゲート配線に接続された第2液晶キャパシタと、
前記第2液晶キャパシタ及び第n+1ゲート配線に接続され、第3スイッチング素子を通じて前記第2液晶キャパシタに印加される電圧を分割するダウンキャパシタと、を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1フレームのデータを第1補償データで生成し、前記第2フレームのデータを前記第1補償データによる前記画素部の透過率と同一な透過率を有する第2補償データで生成するデータ補償部を更に含み、
前記パネル駆動部は、前記第1補償データを前記第1データ電圧に変換し、前記第2補償データを前記第2データ電圧に変換して前記データ配線に出力することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記データ補償部は、
前記第1補償データを生成する第1ルックアップテーブルと、
前記第2補償データを生成する第2ルックアップテーブルと、を含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置。 - 前記データ補償部は、
前記第1補償データを生成するルックアップテーブルと、
前記第1補償データを用いて前記第2補償データを生成する演算部と、を含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置。 - 前記パネル駆動部は、前記第1フレームで左眼用データ電圧を前記表示パネルに出力し、前記第2フレームで右眼用データ電圧を前記表示パネルに出力することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 複数の画素部を含む表示パネルと、
複数の左眼用データフレーム及び複数の右眼用データフレームを生成する映像処理部と、
前記複数の左眼用フレーム及び前記複数の右眼用フレームで、前のフレームのデータ電圧の極性と同一な極性のデータ電圧を有するフレームの個数及び前のフレームのデータ電圧の極性と基準電圧に対して反転した極性のデータ電圧を有するフレームの個数が共に同一な反転信号を生成するタイミング制御部と、
前記反転信号に基づき前記左眼用データフレーム及び前記右眼用データフレームを前記基準電圧に対して負極性及び正極性のデータ電圧に変換して前記表示パネルに出力するデータ駆動部と、を備えることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 各画素部は、
前記画素部の第1サブ領域に形成され、第1スイッチング素子を通じてデータ配線及び第nゲート配線(nは自然数)に接続された第1液晶キャパシタと、
前記画素部の第2サブ領域に形成され、第2スイッチング素子を通じて前記データ配線及び前記第nゲート配線に接続された第2液晶キャパシタと、
前記第2液晶キャパシタ及び第n+1ゲート配線に接続され、第3スイッチング素子を通じて前記第2液晶キャパシタに印加される電圧を分割するダウンキャパシタと、を含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の表示装置。 - 前記表示パネルが(60Hz×I)(Iは4以上の自然数)フレーム周波数で駆動される場合、前記反転信号は、最初のIフレームの間でローレベル、次のIフレームの間でハイレバル、次の2フレームの間でローレベル、次のIフレームの間でハイレバル、次のIフレームの間でローレベル、及び次の2フレームの間でハイレバルを有することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の表示装置。
- 前記反転信号の周期は[(4×I)×K(Kは自然数)+4]フレームであることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の表示装置。
