Description

The present invention relates to a protector for an automobile, and more particularly to a protector that is externally mounted on a wire harness routed in a flooded area.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a protector made of a resin molded product is used for protecting a wire harness routed in an automobile from an external interference material and for guiding the route of the wire harness. A wire harness is inserted into the protector, and a protruding piece projecting from an entrance of the protector and the wire harness are wound with an adhesive tape to fix the wire harness to the protector.

This type of protector often adheres the protector and the wire harness using an adhesive tape as disclosed in JP-A-2009-95196. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 10 (A), a tape winding portion 101 projects from the entrance / exit of the protector main body 100 having a concave cross section. As shown in FIG. 10B, after the wire harness W / H is passed through the protector main body 100, the adhesive tape 120 is wound around and fixed to the wire harness W / H and the tape winding portion 101. Further, as shown in FIG. 10C, the protector main body 100 is covered with a lid 110, the tape winding piece 111 of the lid is covered on the winding portion of the adhesive tape 120, and the adhesive tape 121 is wound again. In some cases, the protector body 100 may not be covered with the lid 110.

In a wet area such as an engine room of an automobile, water is often applied to the protector of the wire harness that is routed in the wet area due to water splashing from the road surface when washing with high-pressure water or running in rainy weather. At that time, when water is applied to the adhesive tape wound around the protector, the adhesive tape is peeled off.
If the adhesive tape is peeled off and the wire harness is not fixed to the protector, the wire harness repeatedly contacts and separates from the inner surface of the protector due to the running vibration of the automobile, which may cause damage to the wire harness and generate noise. In addition, if the wire harness surplus is absorbed in the protector and secured with adhesive tape on the protector exit side, the surplus wire will jump out of the protector, causing the wire to interfere with external interference material and damage it. There is also a risk of receiving.
In addition, as a means for fixing the wire harness to the protector, a tie band made of a resin molded product may be used instead of wrapping the adhesive tape, but the adhesive tape is often used from the viewpoint of cost.

This invention is made | formed in view of the said problem, and makes it the subject that the adhesive tape which adheres the electric wire group of a wire harness to a protector does not generate | occur | produce tape peeling by applying high-pressure washing water or rain water.

In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides:
A protector body having a concave cross section having a bottom wall and both side walls, a state in which a wire harness is inserted into the protector body, and a lid for closing an upper surface opening of the protector body,
A tape stopper in which a tape winding piece protrudes from the longitudinal end of the bottom wall of the protector body, tape winding grooves are provided on both sides in the width direction of the tape winding piece, and the width is widened at the protruding end of the tape winding piece While providing a lock portion on the tape stopper,
The cover is provided with a reverse-concave tape shield that covers the upper and both sides of the tape winding piece, and the tape shield is provided with a locked part that is coupled to the lock part.
The automobile has a configuration in which after the adhesive tape is wound around the wire harness inserted through the protector body through the tape winding groove, the tape shielding portion of the lid is covered with the tape winding piece, and the lock portion and the locked portion are locked together. The protector is provided.

As described above, since the tape winding piece provided on the protector body is covered with the tape shielding portion provided on the lid, the adhesive tape wound around the wire harness on the upper surface of the tape winding piece is the tape shielding portion and the tape winding piece. It is surrounded by and can prevent water from splashing. In addition, even if water splashes on the lower surface of the tape winding piece that is not covered with the tape shielding part of the lid, the water will flow down downward and wrap around from the side part of the adhesive tape surrounded by the tape shielding part to the upper surface. Absent.
Moreover, since the tape shielding part is lock-coupled with the tape winding piece, the wound part of the adhesive tape can be reliably shielded.

The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape wound around the wire harness together with the tape winding piece has a winding end positioned on the upper surface covered with the tape shielding portion and has a thickness that does not protrude outward from the tape stopper. Yes.
As a result, it is possible to prevent the end of the adhesive tape from getting wet with water and peeling off the tape from the end. In addition, by preventing the tape to be wound from bulging out from the tape stopper, both sides of the tape shield can be brought into close contact with the side end surface of the tape stopper, and a gap can be formed between the tape and the wound adhesive tape. Inundation can be prevented without causing water.

It is preferable that the reverse concave tape shielding part provided with an upper wall and both side walls is provided at the tip of the lid body via a thin hinge part.

Further, a lock hole serving as a locked portion may be provided at a lower portion of the tape shielding portion, and a narrow hole continuous with the lock hole may be provided along the lower end edge of the tape shielding portion as a drain hole.
In this way, when the lock hole is a long hole, it is easy to insert the lock claw provided in the tape stopper of the main body, and when water is generated for some reason in the space surrounded by the tape shielding part and the tape winding piece, It can drain from the drain hole. In addition, even if high-pressure washing water is submerged from the drain hole at the time of car washing, since it only affects the side surface (vertical surface) of the adhesive tape, it does not cause the tape to peel off.

The lock portion provided in the protector body is a lock claw protruding from the side end surface of the tape stopper, and the locked portion provided in the lid is a lock hole provided in the side wall of the lid, or
The lock part provided in the protector body is a lock frame projecting laterally from the lower end of the tape stopper, and the locked part provided on the lid is a lock claw projecting from the lower end of the lid.

The protector of the present invention is suitably used as an exterior to a wire harness routed in a flooded area such as an automobile engine room.

As described above, the protector of the present invention can prevent the adhesive tape from getting wet and causing the tape to peel off during car washing or the like while adopting a method of fixing the wire harness to the protector using the adhesive tape. it can.

They are locked together.

The entrance / exit 5 (5A, 5B) of the wire harness that opens at both ends in the length direction of the main body 2 has substantially the same shape. ing. A narrow and long U-shaped tape winding groove 11 (11A, 11B) is formed on both sides of the tape winding piece 10 in the width direction, and the tape winding sandwiched between the tape winding grooves 11 is formed. The dimension in the width direction of the portion 12 is narrowed. The width S of each of the left and right tape winding grooves 11 is about 1 to 2 mm. The protruding end of the tape winding piece 10 is a tape stopper 13 wider than the tape winding 12. On the side end surfaces of the left and right tape stoppers 13, a lock portion including a lock claw 15 is projected.

The lid 3 is provided with a tape shield 22 via thin hinges 21 at both ends in the length direction of the lid body 20 that covers the upper surface opening of the body 2. The tape shielding part 22 has a reverse concave shape surrounding the upper side of the tape winding piece 10 of the main body 2 and both sides in the width direction, and the upper wall 22a is connected to the upper wall 3a of the lid via the thin hinge part 21.

The both side walls 22 b and 22 c of the tape shielding portion 22 are in contact with the outer surfaces of the left and right side surfaces of the tape winding piece 10 in a state of being covered with the tape winding piece 10, and the tape accommodating space 18 between the tape winding groove 11. I try to free up.
In addition, a locked portion including a lock hole 24 for inserting and locking the lock claw 15 is provided at a lower portion of the side walls 22b and 22c on the protruding end side.

As shown in FIG. 4, the protector 1 is externally mounted on a wire harness 30 arranged in an engine room where high-pressure washing water is submerged during car washing.
After the wire group of the wire harness 30 is inserted into the main body 2 of the protector 1, the wire group placed on the upper surface of the tape winding piece 10 is passed through the tape winding groove 11 from the lower surface of the tape winding piece 10 as shown in FIG. The adhesive tape 31 is wound around the upper surface of the electric wire group, and the wire harness 30 is fixed to the entrance / exit of the protector 1. The winding end 31 a of the adhesive tape 31 is the upper surface position of the electric wire group located on the upper surface side of the tape winding piece 10. Further, the adhesive tape 31 passed through the tape winding groove 11 is prevented from projecting laterally from the position of the side end face of the tape stopper 13.

After the wire harness 30 is passed through the main body 2 and the adhesive tape 31 is wound and fixed, the cover 3 is put on the main body 2 and locked.

Next, as shown in FIG. 6, the tape shielding part 22 of the lid 3 is rotated downward with the thin hinge part 21 as a fulcrum, and is placed on the tape wound piece 10, and the side walls 22b and 22c are adhered as shown in FIG. The tape 31 is brought into contact with the outside of the tape winding groove 11 around which the tape 31 is wound, and is brought into contact with the side end surfaces on both sides in the length direction sandwiching the tape winding groove 11. And the lock nail | claw 15 is inserted in the lock hole 24 provided in the front end side of both side wall 22b, 22c, and it lock-couples.

As shown in FIG. 7, the adhesive tape 31 for fixing the wire harness 30 and the tape winding piece 10 with the tape shielding portion 22 of the lid 3 covered on the tape winding piece 10 has the upper and both side winding portions thereof. Surrounded by the tape shielding part 22 and the tape winding part 12. Therefore, even if the high pressure washing water is applied to the protector 1, the adhesive tape 31 of the portion does not get wet. And since the winding end position of the adhesive tape 31 is made into the upper surface side enclosed by the tape shielding part 22, it does not peel off with the water wet from the terminal end of the adhesive tape 31. FIG. Further, the gap between the side walls 22b and 22c of the tape shielding part 22 and the tape winding groove 11 on both sides of the tape winding piece 10 becomes a tape accommodating space 18 of the adhesive tape 31 to be wound. Therefore, it is possible to prevent water from entering the gap. Moreover, although the lower surface of the tape wound piece 10 is exposed to the outside, even if it gets wet, it falls by its own weight and prevents the adhesive tape 31 from being peeled off from the wire group of the wire harness 30 and the tape wound piece 10 due to the water getting wet. it can.

As described above, even if the wire harness 30 is wrapped around and fixed to the main body 2 of the protector with the adhesive tape 31, the protector 1 is covered with the tape shielding portion provided on the lid 3 so that the protector 1 has high pressure washing water or the like. The adhesive tape can be prevented from peeling off even when splashed with water.

8A and 8B show the second embodiment.
In the second embodiment, a lock claw 35 is projected from the lower surface of the front end of both side walls 22b and 22c of the tape shielding portion 22 of the lid 3, while a lock frame 36 is provided from the side end surface of the tape stopper portion 13 of the main body 2. The lock claw 35 is inserted into and locked to the lock frame 36 and locked.
Since other configurations are the same as those of the first embodiment, the same reference numerals are given and description thereof is omitted.

9A and 9B show a third embodiment.
In the third embodiment, the lock hole 24 provided at the lower end of the both side walls 22b and 22c of the tape shield portion 22 of the lid 3 is formed into an elongated hole, and the function of the drain hole is given to the lock hole.
With this configuration, it becomes easy to insert the lock claw 15 protruding from the tape stopper 13 into the long lock hole 24. And even if high-pressure washing water is immersed in the inside of the tape shielding part 22, it can drain from the drain hole of the lower part.
