Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a vehicle headlamp.
The vehicle headlamp is configured to project light onto a predetermined illumination area in front of the vehicle from the viewpoint of traveling safety. This illumination area is determined according to vehicle specifications and predetermined laws and regulations, and the illumination optical system of the vehicle headlamp is optically designed so that light can be projected onto the determined illumination area. The following patent document discloses a vehicle headlamp including a light source, a lens, a reflector, and the like as an illumination optical system.
By the way, in the optical design of the prior art, there is a problem of having a lot of time and cost. Specifically, it is necessary to make an optical design such as adjusting the focal position of the light source, the lens, and the reflector, and condensing and diffusing the lens. Until product development, the above optical design is repeated several to dozens of times, and prototypes and experiments are performed each time. Therefore, much time and expense are spent until the development is completed. There is a problem that has been.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and provides a vehicle headlamp that can easily achieve a predetermined performance with an optical design, and that can be prototyped and tested in a short period of time and with a low cost burden. The purpose is to do.
In order to solve the above-described problems, the present invention provides a transparent cover, a lamp body, and illumination optics that is accommodated in the lamp body and projects light to a predetermined illumination area in front of the vehicle via the transparent cover. The illumination optical system is provided between the semiconductor light emitting element having the optical axis set toward the transparent cover and between the semiconductor light emitting element and the transparent cover. And a light guide cylinder that surrounds the optical axis and defines the illumination area.
By adopting such a configuration, in the present invention, highly directional light emitted from the semiconductor light emitting element is guided by a light beam guide cylinder arranged around the optical axis, and is forward of the vehicle through the transparent cover. The predetermined illumination area is projected. The illumination area is defined by the light beam guide tube. This light beam guide tube has a simple shape and does not need to be focused as in the prior art, so that the degree of freedom in arrangement is high and the design can be easily changed. In addition, by changing the design of the opening shape of the light beam guide tube, the irradiation direction, irradiation range, and amount of light can be adjusted, so that it is possible to easily achieve predetermined required performance.
In the present invention, the light guide tube includes a light entrance provided on a side where the semiconductor light emitting element is disposed and a light exit provided on a side where the transparent cover is disposed, A configuration is adopted in which at least a part of the inlet and at least a part of the light outlet are arranged so as to overlap in the direction in which the optical axis extends.
By adopting such a configuration, in the present invention, since at least a part of the light entrance and at least a part of the light exit overlap each other in the direction in which the optical axis extends, the light is emitted from the semiconductor light emitting element. The direct light having a large amount of light is guided to the transparent cover and projected onto the illumination area.
In the present invention, the light guide tube employs a configuration in which the opening area has a shape that gradually increases in a direction other than the upward direction from the light entrance to the light exit.
By adopting such a configuration, in the present invention, the light emitted from the semiconductor light emitting element radiates and diffuses, but the opening area of the light guide tube gradually increases as it goes from the light entrance to the light exit. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the collision of light with the inner surface of the light guide tube due to the radiation / diffusion, and to reduce the light loss due to the collision. Further, by gradually increasing the luminous flux guide tube in the direction other than the upper direction, it is possible to reduce the amount of light in the upper direction and eliminate the glare with respect to the oncoming vehicle.
Moreover, in this invention, the structure of having the position adjustment mechanism which adjusts the position of the said light exit is employ | adopted.
By adopting such a configuration, in the present invention, the irradiation direction can be adjusted by adjusting the position of the light exit even after the light beam guide tube is assembled.
In the present invention, the light guide surface is provided on the inner surface side of the light beam guide tube.
By adopting such a configuration, in the present invention, the light colliding with the inner surface of the light guide tube by radiation / diffusion is reflected by the light reflecting surface and finally led out from the light exit, and thus emitted light. Light can be projected onto the irradiation area without waste.
Moreover, in this invention, the structure that the said light reflection surface has a curvature is employ | adopted.
By adopting such a configuration, in the present invention, it is possible to control the diffusion range of the reflected light by giving the light reflecting surface a curvature.
In the present invention, on the inner surface side of the light guide cylinder, a configuration is adopted in which the light reflecting surface provided above and the light reflecting surface provided below have different light reflectivities.
By adopting such a configuration, the present invention avoids that the reflected light reflected by the upper light reflecting surface and the reflected light reflected by the lower light reflecting surface are polarized and interfere with each other. The area can be illuminated uniformly.
Moreover, in this invention, the structure that the optical axis of the said semiconductor light-emitting device is set toward the downward direction rather than the direction along a horizontal surface is employ | adopted.
By adopting such a configuration, in the present invention, direct light is projected onto the illumination area on the road surface by setting the optical axis of the semiconductor light emitting element to be lower than the direction along the horizontal plane. Therefore, the light quantity can be effectively used.
In the present invention, the lower portion of one end portion of the light beam guide tube on the side facing the transparent cover has a shape cut out at a predetermined distance toward the other end portion on the side facing the semiconductor light emitting element. The configuration is adopted.
By adopting such a configuration, in the present invention, the lower side is relatively short with respect to the upper side of the light guide tube, so that the amount of light traveling downward is increased while limiting the light traveling upward. Can do.
In the present invention, a configuration is adopted in which the notched shapes are provided in pairs in the left-right direction across the optical axis.
By adopting such a configuration, in the present invention, it is possible to increase the amount of light in the left and right illumination areas while suppressing the amount of light in the illumination area immediately below the front of the vehicle.
In the present invention, the light beam guide tube has a light entrance provided on the side where the semiconductor light emitting element is disposed, and a light exit provided on the side where the transparent cover is disposed, A configuration is adopted in which the light entrance is disposed with a gap from the semiconductor light emitting element.
By adopting such a configuration, the present invention can improve the appearance by leaking light from the gap between the light entrance and the semiconductor light emitting element and illuminating not only the inside of the light guide tube but also the outside. .
In the present invention, the light beam guide tube has a light entrance provided on the side where the semiconductor light emitting element is disposed, and a light exit provided on the side where the transparent cover is disposed, A configuration is adopted in which the body portion of the light guide tube is formed with a second light exit for leading out part of the light introduced inside through the light entrance.
By adopting such a configuration, in the present invention, it is possible to improve appearance by actively leaking light from the second light exit formed in the body portion of the light guide tube.
According to the present invention, it is possible to obtain a vehicular headlamp that can easily achieve an optical design and achieve a predetermined performance, and that can be prototyped and tested in a short period of time and with a low cost burden.

Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the following description, a case where the present invention is applied to a fog lamp is illustrated.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a

FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing the
As shown in the figure, the
The
The
The
The
In addition, in either one of the

FIG. 7 is a diagram showing the directivity characteristics of the LED. The directivity characteristics of the LEDs shown in the figure are disclosed in detail in non-patent literature (Source: Hiroshi Yamazaki, Introduction to Energy Saving LED / EL Lighting Design, Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, 2010).
As shown in FIG. 7, the
The light
The light
Further, the light
Specifically, the light
図8(a)は、図6におけるA−A断面図である。
Fig.8 (a) is AA sectional drawing in FIG. FIG. 8B is a cross-sectional view taken along the line BB in FIG.
The
The light
On the other hand, an upper portion of the light
The light
Note that, on the inner surface side of the light

When electricity is supplied to the
Direct light and reflected light derived from the
In addition, the illumination
In the optical design of the illumination
Further, the light
Therefore, according to the above-described embodiment, it is possible to perform the light distribution characteristic satisfying the regulations without complicated optical design of the lens. For this reason, in this embodiment, the
As mentioned above, although preferred embodiment of this invention was described referring drawings, this invention is not limited to the said embodiment. Various shapes, combinations, and the like of the constituent members shown in the above-described embodiments are examples, and various modifications can be made based on design requirements and the like without departing from the gist of the present invention.
For example, in the above-described embodiment, the opening shape of the
For example, as shown in FIG. 9A, the
Further, for example, in the above-described embodiment, the
For example, as shown in FIG. 10, it is possible to control the diffusion range of the reflected light by adding a predetermined curvature to the upper
For example, in the above-described embodiment, the configuration in which the optical axis Ax is set in the direction along the horizontal plane has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this configuration.
For example, as shown in FIG. 11, the optical axis Ax of the
For example, in the said embodiment, although the
For example, as shown in FIG. 12, the shape of the
For example, in the above-described embodiment, the configuration in which substantially all of the light from the
Therefore, as shown in FIG. 15B, the
Also, as shown in FIG. 16B, a
In addition, as shown in FIG. 17, a
Further, for example, as shown in FIG. 18, the configuration of the
Further, for example, as shown in FIG. 19, the position where the cut-out
