Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a connector for electrically connecting two opposing substrates and a contact used therefor.
Along with miniaturization of electronic devices, miniaturization of connectors used in electronic devices has been promoted. Further, along with this, thinning of contacts used for connectors is progressing (for example, Patent Document 1). The contact disclosed in Patent Document 1 has a connection portion soldered to the substrate, a fixed portion fixed to the housing, and a contact portion that contacts the mating contact, and ensures dimensional stability of the housing. Therefore, the connection part and the fixing part are close to each other.
In addition, when a connector is mounted inside the electronic device, the two circuit boards electrically connected by the connector inside the electronic device may be displaced between the circuit boards. This misalignment may place a load on the solder joint (soldered part) of the contact and cause a solder crack, or the contact may come off the circuit board and cause an electrical connection failure. Therefore, in Patent Document 2, for the purpose of absorbing a shift between two opposing circuit boards, a fixed housing fixed to the circuit board, a movable housing that is relatively displaced with respect to the fixed housing, and these two A connector having a single contact fixed to the housing is disclosed. The contact has a coupling portion coupled to the fixed housing, a coupling portion coupled to the movable housing, and a meandering coupling portion coupling these two coupling portions, and the displacement of the movable housing is caused by the coupling portion. Can be absorbed.
In the contact disclosed in Patent Document 1, since the fixed portion fixed to the housing and the connecting portion soldered to the substrate are close to each other, when the housing is subjected to an impact, the stress caused thereby is the connecting portion. Concentrate on. Therefore, a crack may occur in the solder that joins the substrate and the connection portion. In addition, the contact disclosed in Patent Document 1 does not include a portion (corresponding to the connecting portion in Patent Document 2) that absorbs the displacement when the two circuit boards facing each other undergo a displacement. The stress caused by the misalignment is concentrated on the connection part. For this reason, when the circuit board is displaced, cracks may occur in the solder that joins the board and the connection portion in the same manner as when the housing receives an impact. If the stress applied to the connecting portion is increased, the connecting portion is peeled off from the circuit board, causing an electrical connection failure. Therefore, it is considered that the connector disclosed in Patent Document 1 cannot sufficiently absorb the impact on the housing and the displacement of the circuit board.
Moreover, since the connector of patent document 2 has two housings, the magnitude | size of connector itself becomes large. Therefore, it is difficult to employ the connector in a small electronic device such as a mobile phone.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a connector capable of absorbing an impact on a housing while being small, and a contact used therefor.
The contact of the present invention is a contact that is fixed to the housing and is electrically connected to the counterpart contact, and a fixed portion that is fixed to the housing, and projects from the fixed portion toward the counterpart contact, A protrusion that contacts the mating connector, a terminal part that is soldered to the circuit board, and a position that is located between the fixing part and the terminal part, and that is opposite to the protruding direction of the protruding part from the fixing part. And an extended portion. Further, at least one through hole formed in the extending portion so as to open in a direction intersecting with the extending direction is formed, and the extending portion is along the extending direction. It is elastically deformable in the direction of rotation around the shaft.
According to the present invention, the extending portion located between the fixed portion and the terminal portion is elastically deformed in a direction of rotating around an axis along the extending direction. Therefore, the stress applied to the direction rotating around the axis along the extending direction of the extending part can be absorbed by the extending part. Therefore, since the stress can be prevented from concentrating on the terminal portion of the contact, it is possible to prevent generation of cracks in the solder for joining the terminal portion and the circuit board and peeling of the terminal portion from the circuit board.
In the present invention, the extending portion can be elastically deformed in at least one direction in a plane perpendicular to the extending direction. According to the said structure, the extension part located between a fixing | fixed part and a terminal part elastically deforms in at least 1 direction in the plane perpendicular | vertical to the extension direction. Thereby, the stress which arises in at least 1 direction in the plane perpendicular | vertical to the extension direction of an extension part can be absorbed by the extension part. Therefore, since the stress can be prevented from concentrating on the terminal portion of the contact, it is possible to prevent generation of cracks in the solder for joining the terminal portion and the circuit board and peeling of the terminal portion from the circuit board. Therefore, for example, when the displacement between the two circuit boards facing each other occurs or when the housing holding the contact receives an impact, the stress due to the displacement and the impact can be absorbed by the extending portion. Further, it is possible to prevent cracks from being generated in the solder in which the terminal portion is bonded to the circuit board and the terminal portion from being peeled from the circuit board.
Furthermore, in the present invention, it is preferable that the extending portion bends in at least one step. In addition, the extending portion has a first bent portion and a second bent portion that form one step, and the through hole is formed from the first bent portion to the second bent portion. Is preferred. According to this, the extending portion is easily elastically deformed in the extending direction. Therefore, the stress applied to the contact in the extending direction of the extending portion can be absorbed by the extending portion.
In addition, in the present invention, the through hole is formed such that its width is longer than a height orthogonal to the width, and the through hole having a width longer than the height is an extension of the extension portion. It is preferable that a plurality are arranged in the direction. According to this, the extension part is elastically deformed in at least one direction in a direction rotating around an axis along the extension direction and in a plane perpendicular to the extension direction.
Further, in the present invention, the extending portion is, with respect to the extending direction, an upper portion and a lower portion located on opposite sides across the center of the extending portion, and a connecting portion connecting the upper portion and the lower portion. The upper part and the lower part are wider than the connecting part, and the through hole is formed in the first through hole formed in the upper part, and the second through hole formed in the lower part, It has a 3rd through hole formed in the connecting part, and it is preferred that the 1st through hole and the 2nd through hole are wider than the 3rd through hole. The extending portion and the through hole having the above shape facilitate the elastic deformation of the extending portion in the direction of rotation around the axis along the extending direction. Therefore, the stress in the direction rotating around the axis along the extending direction of the extending portion can be reliably absorbed by the extending portion.
The connector of the present invention includes a first connector having a first housing and a first contact that is a conductive member fixed to the first housing, a second housing, and a conductive member fixed to the second housing. A connector comprising a second connector having a second contact, wherein the second contact is fixed to the second housing, and protrudes from the fixed portion toward the first contact. And a protruding portion that contacts the first contact, a terminal portion that is solder-bonded to a circuit board, and a position that is located between the fixed portion and the terminal portion, and that is opposite to the protruding direction of the protruding portion from the fixed portion. And an extending portion extending in the direction. And at least 1 through-hole formed in the said extension part so that it may open toward the direction which cross | intersects the extension direction is formed, and the said extension part followed the extension direction It is elastically deformable in the direction of rotation around the shaft.
According to this, the extending part located between the fixed part and the terminal part is elastically deformed in a direction rotating around an axis along the extending direction. Thereby, the stress applied to the direction rotating around the axis along the extending direction of the extending part of the second contact can be absorbed by the extending part. Therefore, since the stress can be prevented from concentrating on the terminal portion of the second contact, the generation of cracks in the solder for joining the terminal portion and the circuit board and the separation of the terminal portion from the circuit board can be prevented. it can.
In the connector according to the present invention, it is preferable that the extending portion is elastically deformable in at least one direction in a plane perpendicular to the extending direction. According to this, the extending part located between the fixed part and the terminal part is elastically deformed in at least one direction in a plane perpendicular to the extending direction. Thereby, the stress which arises in at least 1 direction in the plane perpendicular | vertical to the extension direction of an extension part can be absorbed by the extension part. Therefore, since the stress can be prevented from concentrating on the terminal portion of the second contact, the generation of cracks in the solder for joining the terminal portion and the circuit board and the separation of the terminal portion from the circuit board can be prevented. it can. Therefore, when the displacement of the two circuit boards facing each other occurs or when the first housing and the second housing are subjected to an impact, the stress due to the displacement and the impact can be absorbed by the extending portion. Further, it is possible to prevent cracks from being generated in the solder in which the terminal portion is bonded to the circuit board and the terminal portion from being peeled off from the circuit board.

As shown in FIG. 4, the outer shape of the through
When the plane area of the through
As shown in FIG. 4, the planar area of the through

Next, with reference to FIG. 5, a description will be given of when the
FIG. 5A shows a state when the
As shown in FIG. 5A, when the
As shown in FIG. 5B, when the fitting of the
The
As described above, the

[Modification 1]
The connector according to Modification 1 is different from the connector according to the first embodiment in the extension portion of the receptacle contact. In addition, since the other structure of the connector which concerns on the modification 1 is the same as that of the connector which concerns on 1st Embodiment, description is abbreviate | omitted.

As shown in FIG. 6, in the connector of this embodiment, the extending

The outer shape of the through
Further, similarly to the first embodiment, the plane area of the through
The extending
As described above, also in the connector according to this modification, the same effect as that of the connector according to the first embodiment can be obtained. Further, since the extending
[Modification 2]
The connector according to the modification 2 is different from the connector according to the first embodiment in the extending portion of the receptacle contact.

Also in the connector according to this modification, the same effect as that of the connector according to the first embodiment can be obtained.
[Modification 3]
The connector according to
(Receptacle contact)
As shown in FIG. 8A, in the connector of this embodiment, the extending
The through
The outer shape of the first through
The plane area of the through
In addition, the height (H shown in FIG. 8A) of the extending
As described above, also in the connector according to this modification, the same effect as that of the connector according to the first embodiment can be obtained. Also, the
