Abstract
【解決手段】本発明により提供される水性組成物製造方法は、無機フィラーと分散剤と増粘剤と水性溶媒とを混練して上記水性組成物を調製することを包含する。ここで、当該水性組成物の固形分濃度は35〜80質量%であり、上記分散剤の使用量は、固形分基準で、上記水性組成物に含まれる全固形分の0.2〜2.0質量%に相当する量である。

Description
一般式がLiMPO4(MはCo、Ni、Mn、Feのうちの少なくとも一種以上の元素;例えばLiFePO4、LiMnPO4)で表記されるオリビン型リン酸リチウムを上記正極活物質として用いてもよい。
全固形分を100部として、CMC(増粘剤)0.7部、アクリル樹脂(結着剤)2.6部、ポリアクリル酸ナトリウム(分散剤)0〜1.0部、および中心粒径0.2μmのチタニア(無機フィラー)95.7〜96.7部に、固形分濃度が45%となるように水を加え、振動式攪拌機(浅田鉄工株式会社製,型式「ペイントシェーカー」)を用いて混練して、例1〜9の各例に係る無機フィラー水性組成物を得た。各組成物につき、製造直後および製造から3日経過後において、市販のB型粘度計を用いて、25℃、60rpmの条件にて粘度(mPa・s)を測定した。分散剤添加量(使用量)と粘度との関係を表1および図4に示す。また、目視にて各組成物を観察したところ、分散剤量が0.2部未満(すなわち、固形分の0.2%未満)では、組成物のゲル化が認められた。
中心粒径0.2μmのチタニア(無機フィラー)97部、ポリアクリル酸ナトリウム(分散剤)1.0部、CMC(増粘剤)0.7部、およびアクリル樹脂(結着剤)1.3部に、固形分濃度が35%となるように水を加え、例1〜9と同じ振動式攪拌機を用いて混練して、本例に係る無機フィラー水性組成物を得た。
<例11〜13>
水の量を調節して固形分濃度をそれぞれ40%,45%,55%とした他は例10と同様にして、例11〜13の各例に係る無機フィラー水性組成物を得た。
例10〜13の各組成物につき、上記B型粘度計を用いて、上記と同様の条件にて製造直後の粘度(mPa・s)を求めた。これらの組成物の固形分濃度と粘度との関係を表2および図5に示す。
攪拌機(プライミクス社製、型式「T.K.AUTO MIXER 20」)に、水、CMC(第一工業製薬株式会社製、品番「BSH−6」)(増粘剤)0.7部、分散剤(東亞合成株式会社製、品番「T−50」)0.3部、中心粒径0.65μmのアルミナ99部の順に投入・攪拌して、本例に係る無機フィラー水性組成物(固形分濃度47%)を得た。
<例15>
攪拌機への投入順を水、分散剤、アルミナ、CMCの順に変更した他は例14と同様にして、本例に係る無機フィラー水性組成物を得た。
また、表2および図5から、固形分濃度が高くなるのに伴い、粘度が増加することが確認された。加えて、固形分濃度が35質量%以上で、低極性表面でもハジキの起こりにくい粘度、具体的には500mPa・s以上の粘度が実現されることが確認された。

Claims (5)
- 水性溶媒に無機フィラーが分散しており、二次電池の構成部材に塗工して用いられるための水性組成物を製造する方法であって、無機フィラーと分散剤と増粘剤と水性溶媒とを混練して前記水性組成物を調製することを含み、ここで、当該水性組成物の固形分濃度は35〜80質量%であり、前記分散剤の使用量は、固形分基準で、前記水性組成物に含まれる全固形分の0.2〜2.0質量%に相当する量である;
を包含する、水性組成物製造方法。 - 前記無機フィラーと分散剤と増粘剤と水性溶媒との混練は、まず前記無機フィラー、前記分散剤および前記水性溶媒を混練する第一混練段階と、その混練物に前記増粘剤を添加してさらに混練する第二混練段階とを含む、請求項1に記載の水性組成物製造方法。
- 前記無機フィラーと分散剤と増粘剤と水性溶媒との混練は、前記無機フィラーと前記分散剤と前記増粘剤と前記水性溶媒のうちの一部とを固形分濃度が70〜85質量%となるように混練する予備混練段階と、その予備混練物に前記水性溶媒の残部を添加して希釈することにより最終固形分濃度が35〜80質量%の水性組成物を形成する濃度調整段階とを含む、請求項1に記載の水性組成物製造方法。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法によって製造された水性組成物を前記部材に付与して形成された無機フィラー層を、正極、負極およびセパレータの少なくともいずれかの部材の少なくとも片面に備える、リチウムイオン二次電池。
- 請求項4に記載の電池を備える、車両。
