Abstract
【解決手段】消費電力を低減するために待機モード駆動の際に、パネルの一部領域である表示領域で映像を表示し、それ以外の領域である非表示領域でブラックを表示する有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法において、前記表示領域及び非表示領域に走査信号を順次に供給する段階と、前記表示領域に前記走査信号が供給される時データ駆動部に前記映像に対応するデータ信号を供給する段階と、前記非表示領域に前記走査信号が供給される時検査部で前記ブラックに対応するデータ信号を供給する段階と、を含む。

Claims (9)
- 消費電力を低減するために待機モード駆動の際に、パネルの一部領域である表示領域で映像を表示し、それ以外の領域である非表示領域でブラックを表示する有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法において、
前記表示領域及び非表示領域に走査信号を順次に供給する段階と、
前記表示領域に前記走査信号が供給される時、データ駆動部に前記映像に対応するデータ信号を供給する段階と、
前記非表示領域に前記走査信号が供給される時検査部で前記ブラックに対応するデータ信号を供給する段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法 。 - 前記検査部は、
データ線と複数の検査ラインとの間にそれぞれ位置されるスイッチング素子を備え、
前記スイッチング素子は、前記非表示領域に前記走査信号が供給される時ターンオンされることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記検査ラインは、
前記ブラックのデータ信号に対応する電圧の供給を受けることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記非表示領域に前記走査信号が供給される時、前記データ駆動部に含まれたバッファーに電源供給が中断されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機電界発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 映像を表示する駆動モード及び消費電力を最小化するための待機モードで駆動される有機電界発光表示装置において、
前記駆動モード及び待機モード期間の間、走査線に走査信号を供給する走査駆動部と、
前記待機モード期間の間映像が表示される表示領域に走査信号が供給される時前記映像に対応するデータ信号をデータ線に供給するためのデータ駆動部と、
前記待機モード期間の間前記映像が表示されない非表示領域に前記走査信号が供給される時、ブラックに対応するデータ信号を前記データ線に供給するための検査部と、
前記検査部に検査制御信号を供給するためのタイミング制御部と、
を備えることを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記検査部は、
前記ブラックデータ信号に対応する電圧の供給を受ける複数の検査ラインと、前記データ及び検査ラインそれぞれの間に位置されて、前記検査制御信号が供給される時ターンオンされるスイッチング素子と、
を備えることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記タイミング制御部は、
前記待機モード期間の間前記非表示領域に前記走査信号が供給される時、前記検査制御信号を供給することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記待機モード期間の間前記非表示領域に前記走査信号が供給される時、前記データ駆動部に含まれたバッファーへの電源供給が中断されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記データ駆動部の出力端と前記データ線との間に位置されるデマルチプレクサ部をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
