Description
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an amorphous silicon solar cell that converts solar energy into electric power.
An amorphous silicon solar cell includes a transparent insulating substrate such as a glass plate or a transparent polymer film, a transparent electrode layer stacked on the transparent insulating substrate and also serving as an n-type semiconductor layer, a p-type semiconductor layer stacked on the transparent electrode layer, An amorphous silicon layer and a metal electrode layer laminated on the amorphous silicon layer.
The amorphous silicon solar cell described above is configured by dividing into a plurality of unit cells and connecting the unit cells in series as shown in FIG. 9 in order to efficiently extract electric power. That is, as shown in FIG. 9, unit cell
In order to construct an amorphous silicon solar cell in which the unit cells described above are connected in series, each layer is covered over the entire surface, and then a dividing groove is formed in each layer by a laser scribing method each time. However, laser scribing is performed by irradiating laser beams having different wavelengths according to the characteristics of each layer, and there is a problem that productivity is poor. That is, a laser beam oscillator that oscillates a laser beam is specified to have a predetermined wavelength, and when laser processing is performed with laser beams having different wavelengths, the laser beam oscillator must be replaced or performed by another laser processing apparatus.

If the above-described metal electrode layer stacking step is performed, the unit is formed so that the
By carrying out each processing step described above, the unit cell amorphous silicon solar cells 20-1, 20-2, 20-3, and 20-4 are arranged in series on the transparent insulating
As described above, in the method for manufacturing an amorphous silicon solar cell according to the embodiment described above, the transparent electrode layer dividing step, the amorphous silicon layer dividing step, and the metal electrode layer dividing step have the same wavelength in the green light region and the pulse width. The transparent electrode layer dividing step, the amorphous silicon layer, and the metal electrode layer are divided into unit cells by adjusting and irradiating the pulse laser beam of 50 ps or less to the output corresponding to each layer, so each layer is divided by the pulse laser beam having the same wavelength. Can be divided, and productivity can be improved. In addition, the transparent electrode layer dividing step, the amorphous silicon layer dividing step, and the metal electrode layer dividing step irradiate the pulse laser beam having the same wavelength in the near infrared region and the pulse width of 30 ps or less to the output corresponding to each layer. By doing so, the transparent electrode layer dividing step, the amorphous silicon layer, and the metal electrode layer are divided into unit cells, so that each layer can be divided by a pulse laser beam having the same wavelength, and productivity can be improved.
