Claims (20)
- 少なくとも1つのアンテナでソースからビーコンの少なくとも一部分を受信する段階と、
ビームフォーミングを実行するべくリソースを割り当てる段階と、
前記ビーコンの前記少なくとも一部分を受信した後、且つ、アソシエーション要求承認信号を受信する前に、ビームフォーミングを実行する段階と、
指向性方式を利用して、アソシエーション要求に応じて発生するアソシエーション要求の少なくとも一部分を通信する段階と
を備える方法。 - 前記ビーコンに応じて媒体アクセス制御アドレスを送信する段階をさらに備える請求項1に記載の方法。
- ビームフォーミングを実行する段階は、前記少なくとも1つのアンテナから前記ソースへの相対的な方向を決定する段階を有する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記アソシエーション要求の少なくとも一部分は、指向性モードで送信される請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記アソシエーション要求は、複数のビットの送信を含み、前記複数のビットの大部分は、指向性モードで送信される請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ビーコンに応じて媒体アクセス制御アドレスを送信する段階と、前記ビーコンの少なくとも一部分を受信すると前記ビームフォーミングをトリガする段階とをさらに備える請求項1に記載の方法。
- 再アソシエーション要求を指向性モードで送信する段階をさらに備える請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記指向性方式の送信では、全方向性送信よりも高いデータレートを利用する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記相対的な方向を決定する段階は、到来方向情報、到来角、到来時間差、または、到来周波数差のうち1つを決定する段階を含む請求項3に記載の方法。
- 入力信号を受信するセンサと、
前記入力信号の発信元の方向を検出する方向検出モジュールと、
前記入力信号に向けてビームフォーミングを実行するビームフォーミングモジュールと、
前記ビームフォーミングモジュールをトリガしてビームフォーミングを実行させるトリガモジュールと、
アソシエーションプロセス中に指向性送信を受信する受信機と
を備え、
前記トリガモジュールは、前記アソシエーションプロセスの終了より前に前記ビームフォーミングモジュールを起動する装置。 - ビーコンは、前記指向性送信のデータレートよりも低いデータレートの全方向性送信で送信される請求項10に記載の装置。
- 前記入力信号はビーコンである請求項10に記載の装置。
- アソシエーション要求承認信号を受信する受信機をさらに備える請求項10に記載の装置。
- 前記ビームフォーミングから取得したデータを利用して再アソシエーション要求を送信することをさらに備える請求項10に記載の装置。
- 命令を格納するコンピュータ可読格納媒体を備えるコンピュータプログラム製品であって、前記命令がプロセッサによって実行されると、コンピュータは、
少なくとも1つのアンテナによってソースからビーコンを受信して、
ビームフォーミングを実行するべくリソースを割り当てて、
前記ビーコンの少なくとも一部分を受信した後、且つ、指向性通信を利用して送信されるアソシエーション要求承認信号を受信する前に、ビームフォーミングを実行する、
コンピュータプログラム製品。 - プロセッサによって実行されると、前記コンピュータは、受信した前記ビーコンに応じて媒体アクセス制御アドレスを送信する
請求項15に記載のコンピュータプログラム製品。 - プロセッサによって実行されると、前記コンピュータは、ビームフォーミングプロセスの一部として、前記少なくとも1つのアンテナから前記ソースへの相対的な方向を決定する
請求項15に記載のコンピュータプログラム製品。 - プロセッサによって実行されると、前記コンピュータは、前記アソシエーション要求の一部分を指向性モードで送信する
請求項15に記載のコンピュータプログラム製品。 - プロセッサによって実行されると、前記コンピュータは、アソシエーション要求において複数のビットを送信し、前記複数のビットのうち大部分は指向性モードで送信される
請求項15に記載のコンピュータプログラム製品。 - プロセッサによって実行されると、前記コンピュータは、前記ビーコンに応じて媒体アクセス制御アドレスを送信し、前記ビーコンの少なくとも一部分を受信すると前記ビームフォーミングをトリガする
