Abstract
Description
Embodiments described herein relate generally to an ultrasonic probe and an ultrasonic imaging apparatus that transmit and receive ultrasonic waves to and from an object to image the inside of the object.
An ultrasonic probe is an apparatus that irradiates an ultrasonic wave toward the object and receives reflected waves from an interface with different acoustic impedances in the object for the purpose of imaging the inside of the object. . 2. Description of the Related Art As an ultrasonic imaging apparatus using an ultrasonic probe, an ultrasonic diagnostic imaging apparatus that inspects the inside of a living body such as a human body is known.
The ultrasonic probe has a case body that is gripped by an operator, and an ultrasonic transducer for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves is housed in the case body.
FIG. 6 is a configuration diagram of a conventional transducer.
As shown in FIG. 6, the conventional
Each
In other words, in order to execute an ultrasonic scan, it is necessary to separately apply an electrical signal having a slight delay time to the signal electrode 105b of each
By the way, the ultrasonic wave generated from the
。 However, if the transmission voltage is kept low, there is a problem in that the S / N ratio in the deep part of the living body is deteriorated and the image diagnostic ability is lowered. Therefore, in recent years, in order to solve this problem, a method of dissipating the heat from the piezoelectric vibrator to the case or the cable via the back material has been proposed (for example, see Patent Document 1).
However, the insulator which is the material of the back material has a thermal conductivity of about 0.2 [W / mK] to 1 [W / mK], and the heat dissipation efficiency is not so good. Therefore, there is a problem that the heat generated by the piezoelectric vibrator is not efficiently transferred through the back material, and the temperature of the living body contact portion of the ultrasonic probe rises.
The embodiment has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide an ultrasonic probe and an ultrasonic imaging apparatus capable of suppressing an increase in temperature of a living body contact portion. It is in.
The ultrasonic probe according to the present embodiment includes a case held by an operator, a piezoelectric vibrator that is disposed in the case and has electrodes, and transmits and receives ultrasonic waves, and a lower surface side of the piezoelectric vibrator A back material for attenuating ultrasonic waves from the piezoelectric vibrator, a heat radiating member joined to a side surface of the back material, extended to a lower side of the case, and into which heat of the back material flows. A flexible printed circuit having wiring connected to the electrodes and transmitting and receiving electrical signals to and from the piezoelectric vibrator, and a cable connected to the flexible printed circuit held at the bottom of the case, A cable having a plurality of shield wires connected to the heat radiating member for releasing heat of the heat radiating member.

As shown in FIG. 3, the

A gap between the acoustic
In this embodiment, the acoustic
The
The thermal conductivity of the

The
As the material of the

The

As shown in FIG. 4, the

Next, a manufacturing process of the
First, a piezoelectric vibration block and an acoustic matching block are prepared. The piezoelectric vibration block is obtained by forming an electrode on a piezoelectric material formed in a block shape by plating or sputtering, and then performing polarization treatment on the piezoelectric material.
When the piezoelectric vibration block and the acoustic matching block are prepared, the acoustic matching block is joined to one electrode of the piezoelectric vibrator block, and the piezoelectric vibration block and the acoustic matching block are processed to a desired thickness and size.
Next, the
Thus, the piezoelectric vibrator block is divided into a plurality of
Next, the
After filling the gap between the
Next, the
Next, the operation of the ultrasonic probe having the above configuration will be described.
In the present embodiment, the
As a result, since it is possible to set a high transmission voltage for use in ultrasonic diagnosis, a high-quality ultrasonic image with a good S / N ratio is acquired even when imaging the deep part of the living body. be able to.
Further, a
Moreover, the thickness of the
In the present embodiment, the
In the present embodiment, the acoustic impedance of the
In the present embodiment, the thickness of the
In the present embodiment, in order to attenuate the ultrasonic wave, two backing materials, that is, the
That is, if a resin mixture containing a carbon fiber having a thermal conductivity of 500 [W / mK] is used as the material of the
The acoustic impedance of the
Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. Here, the description of the same configuration and operation as those of the first embodiment is omitted.
FIG. 5 is a configuration diagram of an ultrasonic probe 1A according to the second embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 5, the present embodiment is an example in which the technique of the present invention is applied to a two-dimensional array type ultrasonic probe 1A. The two-dimensional array type
For this reason, when the two-dimensional array type ultrasonic probe 1A is used, heat is generated from the
As a result, since the transmission voltage that can be used at the time of ultrasonic diagnosis can be set high, a high-quality ultrasonic image with a good S / N ratio can be acquired even when imaging the deep part of the living body. .
Although several embodiments of the present invention have been described, these embodiments are presented by way of example and are not intended to limit the scope of the invention.
