Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a connector in which a terminal connected to an end of an electric wire is accommodated.
Conventionally, a connector described in Patent Document 1 is known as a connector that accommodates a terminal connected to an end of an electric wire. The connector includes a first housing that is attached to a case in which a device such as a motor mounted on an electric vehicle or the like is accommodated, and a second housing that can be fitted to the first housing and is disposed at the end of the electric wire. A housing.
The first housing has a hood portion that can be fitted to the second housing. In this hood part, the male terminal metal fitting electrically connected to the apparatus is arranged. On the other hand, the second housing is formed with a cavity for accommodating the female terminal fitting connected to the end of the electric wire. The female terminal fitting is formed with an elastic contact piece that can elastically contact the male terminal fitting. When the first housing and the second housing are fitted, the male terminal fitting and the female terminal fitting are electrically connected by elastically contacting the male terminal fitting with the elastic contact piece. As a result, the electric wire and the device are electrically connected.
However, according to the above configuration, the elastic contact piece is separated from the male terminal fitting from the electric wire to the female terminal fitting, for example, by twisting the electric wire or the weight of the entire electric wire acting on the female terminal fitting. Power may be added. Then, there is a concern that the electrical connection reliability between the female terminal fitting and the male terminal fitting is lowered.
The present invention has been completed based on the above situation, and an object thereof is to provide a connector with improved connection reliability.
The present invention provides a connector comprising: a first housing in which a first terminal is accommodated; and a second housing that can be fitted into the first housing and accommodates a second terminal connected to an end of an electric wire. And the holding member separate from the said 2nd terminal is attached to the said electric wire, and the said holding member is being fixed with respect to the said 2nd housing with the volt | bolt.
According to the present invention, the holding member attached to the electric wire is fixed to the second housing by bolting. Thereby, for example, the force due to the twisting of the electric wire and the force due to the weight of the entire electric wire are received by the second housing via the holding member. As a result, even when a force in the direction of separating the first terminal and the second terminal is applied from the electric wire, this force is received by the portion where the holding member is provided, and the first terminal and the second terminal are Separation can be suppressed. Thereby, the connection reliability of a 1st terminal and a 2nd terminal can be improved.
As embodiments of the present invention, the following embodiments are preferable.
The electric wire includes a core wire and an insulation coating coated on an outer periphery of the core wire, the second terminal is connected to an end of the core wire exposed from the insulation coating, and the holding member is the insulation coating It is preferable that the core wire exposed from the side is fixed closer to the insulating coating than the portion to which the second terminal is connected.
According to the above aspect, since the force applied to the electric wire is received by the second housing via the holding member fixed to the core wire, the force acts on the second terminal located on the tip side of the holding member. This can be reliably suppressed. In particular, since the core wire can be prevented from rotating with respect to the holding member due to slippage between the insulating coating and the core wire, compared to the case where the holding member is attached to the insulating coating, the first terminal and the first terminal Connection reliability with two terminals can be further improved.
The second housing is formed with a cavity for receiving the second terminal, and the second housing has a bolt insertion hole through which the bolt is inserted substantially in the opening direction of the cavity. It is preferable that the second housing is formed in a direction parallel to the first housing.
When a bolt insertion hole for inserting a bolt is passed through the second housing in a direction intersecting the opening direction of the cavity in which the second terminal is accommodated, a slide structure for forming the bolt insertion hole is required. Therefore, there is a concern that the shape of the mold for molding the second housing is complicated. Thereby, as a result of an increase in the manufacturing cost of the mold, there is a concern that the manufacturing cost of the connector increases.
According to the above aspect, since the bolt insertion hole is formed through the second housing in a direction substantially parallel to the opening direction of the cavity, the bolt insertion hole is formed in the mold. There is no need to provide a slide structure. As a result, since the structure of the mold can be simplified, the manufacturing cost of the connector can be reduced.
The term “substantially parallel” includes both the case where the opening direction of the cavity and the penetration direction of the bolt insertion hole are parallel, and the case where it is not parallel but substantially parallel.
In the second housing, a nut mounting hole for mounting a nut screwed to the bolt to the second housing is in communication with the bolt insertion hole and in a direction substantially parallel to the opening direction of the cavity. Preferably it is formed.
According to said aspect, since the slide structure for forming the nut attachment hole for attaching a nut becomes unnecessary, the manufacturing cost of a connector can be reduced.
The term “substantially parallel” includes both the case where the opening direction of the cavity and the direction of the nut mounting hole are parallel and the case where the direction is not parallel but substantially parallel.
The first housing is formed with a hood part into which the second housing can be fitted, and the opening of the nut mounting hole is in a state in which the first housing and the second housing are fitted, It is preferable to be located in the hood part.
According to said aspect, it can suppress that water, dust, etc. approach into a 1st housing from a nut attachment hole by fitting a 1st housing and a 2nd housing.
It is preferable that a nut into which the bolt is screwed is insert-molded in the second housing.
According to the above aspect, since it is not necessary to form a bolt insertion hole for allowing the bolt to pass through the second housing, it is not necessary to provide a slide structure in the mold for molding the second housing. As a result, the manufacturing cost of the connector can be reduced.
The second housing is formed with a hood portion into which the second housing can be fitted, and the nut is positioned in the hood portion in a state where the first housing and the second housing are fitted. It is preferable to do so.
According to said aspect, it can suppress that water, dust, etc. approach into a 1st housing from a nut by making a 1st housing and a 2nd housing fit.
Preferably, a cover that covers the nut is attached to the first housing.
According to the above aspect, even when the first housing and the second housing are not fitted to each other, it is possible to prevent water, dust, and the like from entering the first housing from the nut.
According to the present invention, the connection reliability of the connector can be improved.

As shown in FIG. 1, a

On the inner wall of the

(Holding member 44)
As shown in FIG. 5, in the terminal of the
The holding
Further, the holding
In the present embodiment, when the
As shown in FIG. 1, the
In the present embodiment, the
The
As shown in FIG. 3, in this embodiment, the cross-sectional shape of the
As shown in FIG. 1, when the
(Function, effect)
Then, the effect | action and effect of the
Further, according to the present embodiment, the holding
Further, when the
In view of the above points, in the present embodiment, the
Further, in the present embodiment, the
Further, the opening of the
Further, since the opening of the

As shown in FIG. 7, the
Since the configuration other than the above is substantially the same as that of the first embodiment, the same members are denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant description is omitted.
According to this embodiment, the
Further, the
Further, the region where the
