Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a fuel cell system and a control method for the fuel cell system.
As a conventional fuel cell system, a reformer that can generate a reformed gas by reforming raw fuel and steam, a hydrogen generator having a burner that heats the reformer, and a reformed gas are used. There is known a fuel cell system including a fuel cell stack that generates electric power (see, for example, Patent Document 1). Some of the fuel cell systems include a line for supplying the reformed gas from the hydrogen production apparatus to the fuel cell stack and a line for returning the reformed gas to the burner (bypass line). In this fuel cell system, when the reforming catalyst, water evaporator, etc. are sufficiently preheated at the start of operation, the process water and raw fuel are added to generate the reformed gas in the hydrogen production device. By closing the side line and opening the bypass line, the entire reformed gas is returned to the burner, and then the selective oxidation air is supplied to reduce the carbon monoxide concentration in the reformed gas to 10 ppm or less. In some cases, the reformed gas is supplied to the fuel cell stack after stable generation.
Here, in the fuel cell system as described above, the entire amount of reformed gas from the hydrogen production apparatus (that is, all of the generated hydrogen) is returned to the burner. Therefore, the hydrogen production apparatus is in a state of being heated more than necessary, and the state in which the reformed gas is returned from the bypass line for a long time and burned cannot be maintained. This raises the problem that the temperature rises above the heat resistance temperature of the reforming catalyst, burner failure, container deformation, and the like, and that the amount of combustion air must be increased excessively. In the conventional fuel cell system, in order to avoid such a problem, it is necessary to supply the reformed gas to the line on the fuel cell stack side at an early stage. However, when the reformed gas is supplied to the fuel cell stack side at an early stage, the reformed gas is supplied to the fuel cell stack in a state where hydrogen generation in the hydrogen production apparatus is not stable or the CO concentration is not sufficiently lowered. There was a problem that it had to be supplied to. Alternatively, in order to quickly reduce the CO concentration of the reformed gas, the selective oxidation reaction unit is selectively oxidized early (for example, at the same time as supplying raw fuel to the reforming unit or at an earlier stage). Air was being supplied. However, when the selective oxidation air is supplied in a state where hydrogen is not contained in the reformed gas, there is a problem that the selective oxidation catalyst is oxidized and deteriorated. Therefore, a fuel cell system that can thermally stand the hydrogen production apparatus (that is, maintain a thermal balance even if all the reformed gas generated in the hydrogen production apparatus is returned to its own burner) has been conventionally required. It had been.
Accordingly, the present invention makes it possible to thermally stand the hydrogen production apparatus, thereby supplying reformed gas to the fuel cell stack in a state where hydrogen generation is sufficiently stabilized and the CO concentration is reliably reduced. At the same time, it is an object of the present invention to provide a fuel cell system and a control method for the fuel cell system that can suppress the deterioration of the catalyst in the hydrogen production apparatus and can generate the required hydrogen amount of the fuel cell.
Here, as a result of diligent research, the present inventors have controlled the supply amount of the raw fuel supplied to the reforming section to an optimum range, and the amount of water vapor relative to the amount of carbon of the raw fuel supplied to the reforming section. Even if the state in which the total amount of reformed gas from the hydrogen production apparatus is returned to the burner is maintained for a long time by controlling the S / C determined by the molar ratio of It has been found that the hydrogen production apparatus can be thermally independent without causing it. The inventors have further researched, and specifically, the supply amount of the raw fuel supplied to the reforming section is ¼ or less than the supply amount that maximizes the hydrogen production efficiency. It was found that the hydrogen production apparatus can be thermally self-supported by controlling and controlling the S / C to be 6.0 or more.
Therefore, a fuel cell system according to the present invention includes a reforming unit that generates reformed gas containing hydrogen by reforming raw fuel and steam, and a hydrogen production apparatus that includes a burner that heats the reforming unit; A fuel cell stack that generates power using the reformed gas generated by the hydrogen production device, a reformed gas supply destination setting means for setting a reformed gas supply destination in the burner or the fuel cell stack, and a reformer S determined by the raw fuel supply amount control means for controlling the supply amount of the supplied raw fuel, and the molar ratio of the amount of water vapor supplied to the reforming unit to the amount of carbon of the raw fuel supplied to the reforming unit. S / C control means for controlling / C and burner flame state detection means for detecting the state of the flame in the burner, and the raw fuel supply amount control means Supply amount The S / C control means is controlled so that the S / C becomes 6.0 or more when the hydrogen production apparatus is started up. And the reformed gas supply destination setting means sets the reformed gas supply destination only to the burner at the time of starting the hydrogen production apparatus, and based on the burner flame state detected by the burner flame state detecting means. The supply destination of the reformed gas is changed to a fuel cell stack.
According to the fuel cell system of the present invention, the reformed gas supply destination setting means stabilizes the hydrogen generation by supplying the reformed gas only to the burner at the time of starting the hydrogen production apparatus (so-called bypass line). The CO concentration can be reduced, and then the reformed gas can be supplied to the fuel cell stack to generate power. Here, at the time of starting up the hydrogen production apparatus, the reformed gas supply destination setting means sets the reformed gas supply destination to only the burner, thereby bringing the hydrogen production apparatus into a self-sustained operation state, while supplying the raw fuel. The control means controls the raw fuel supply amount to be ¼ or less of the supply amount that maximizes the hydrogen production efficiency, thereby making the raw fuel supply amount optimal for independent operation. Can do. Furthermore, the S / C control means can control the S / C so as to be 6.0 or more, so that the S / C can be set to an optimum value for the independent operation. As described above, the hydrogen production apparatus can be thermally independent by optimizing the supply amount of raw fuel and the S / C. As a result, it is possible to maintain a state in which the entire amount of reformed gas is supplied to the burner for a long time without causing problems (for example, burner failure or container deformation) associated with the independent operation of the hydrogen production apparatus. . Further, in the present invention, since the burner flame state detecting means for detecting the flame state in the burner is provided, the burner flame in the self-sustaining operation state where the reformed gas is supplied to the burner by the burner flame state detecting means. The state can be detected. Further, the reformed gas supply destination setting means can change the reformed gas supply destination to the fuel cell stack based on the burner flame state detected by the burner flame state detecting means. Here, since the flame is generated in the burner in the self-sustained operation state, the combustible substance is included in the reformed gas, that is, the raw fuel is supplied to the reforming section and hydrogen is removed. It is understood that it is in a state that can occur. Based on such information, if the selective oxidation air is supplied to the selective oxidation reaction section at least between the timing at which the occurrence of the flame of the burner is detected and the timing at which the reformed gas is supplied to the fuel cell stack, the modification is performed. The selective oxidation can be performed in a state in which hydrogen is surely contained in the gas. As a result, it is possible to supply the selective oxidation air at an optimum timing, and to suppress the oxidative deterioration of the selective oxidation catalyst. As described above, the hydrogen production apparatus can be thermally self-supported, whereby the hydrogen generation can be sufficiently stabilized and the reformed gas can be supplied to the fuel cell stack in a state in which the CO concentration is reliably reduced. Deterioration of the catalyst in the production apparatus can be suppressed, and the required hydrogen amount of the fuel cell can be generated.
Further, in the fuel cell system according to the present invention, the S / C control means has an S / C of 6.0 or more to 4.5 or less based on the burner flame state detected by the burner flame state detection means. Preferably, the reformed gas supply destination setting means sets the reformed gas supply destination to the fuel cell stack after the S / C is changed by the S / C control means. The S / C control means starts the power generation of the fuel cell stack from the S / C value optimum for the self-sustaining operation of the hydrogen production device before the reformed gas supply destination is switched from the burner to the fuel cell stack. The S / C can be changed to a value of S / C 4.5 or less at which the hydrogen production apparatus can be thermally stabilized by combustion of the remaining reformed gas (off-gas) not used for power generation. As a result, the hydrogen generation can be stabilized by maintaining the self-sustaining operation state, while the hydrogen production apparatus can be thermally stabilized even at the stage of supplying the reformed gas to the fuel cell stack.
The fuel cell system according to the present invention further includes a selective oxidation air supply means for supplying air to a selective oxidation reaction section that selectively oxidizes carbon monoxide in the reformed gas generated by the reforming section. The selective oxidation air supply means preferably supplies the air after the burner flame state detection means detects the occurrence of the flame of the burner. After detecting the occurrence of a flame in the burner, by supplying air to the selective oxidation reaction section, it becomes possible to perform selective oxidation in a state where hydrogen is surely contained in the reformed gas, and the oxidation of the catalyst Deterioration can be prevented.
The fuel cell system according to the present invention further comprises burner air ratio control means for controlling a burner air ratio determined by a ratio of air supplied to the burner with respect to reformed gas supplied to the burner, and burner air ratio control The means is preferably controlled so that the burner air ratio is 1.1 or more and 2.5 or less. Thus, by making the burner air ratio an appropriate value, the thermal self-supporting of the hydrogen production apparatus can be more reliably performed.
In the fuel cell system according to the present invention, the S / C control means increases the supply amount of the raw fuel, thereby changing the S / C from 6.0 to 4.5 and supplies the raw fuel. It is preferable to control the amount so as to increase in a slope shape. As a result, since the raw fuel supply amount can be gradually increased in a slope shape without suddenly increasing, the reforming gas can be stably reformed in the hydrogen production apparatus and the hydrogen generation is stable. Can be supplied to the fuel cell stack.
In the fuel cell system according to the present invention, the S / C control means increases the supply amount of the raw fuel, thereby changing the S / C from 6.0 to 4.5 and supplies the raw fuel. It is preferable to control so that the amount increases stepwise. As a result, the raw fuel supply amount can be increased stepwise in a stepwise manner, so that reforming in the hydrogen production apparatus can be performed stably and reforming in a state where hydrogen generation is stable. Gas can be supplied to the fuel cell stack.
In the fuel cell system according to the present invention, the S / C control means changes the S / C from 6.0 or more to 4.5 or less based on the flame condition of the burner detected by the burner flame condition detection means. And the selective oxidation air supply means is increasing the supply amount of the raw fuel in order for the S / C control means to change the S / C from 6.0 to 4.5. It is preferable to supply air. The raw fuel supply amount is increased immediately before the reformed gas is supplied to the fuel cell stack. Since the reformed gas already contains hydrogen, the oxidation degradation of the selective oxidation catalyst Can be more reliably suppressed. Furthermore, during the increase of the raw fuel supply amount, it takes a predetermined time until the reformed gas is supplied to the fuel cell stack (until the increase of the raw fuel supply amount is completed), and thus selective oxidation is performed during that time. Thus, the CO concentration can be reliably reduced.
In addition, the fuel cell system control method according to the present invention includes a reforming unit that generates reformed gas containing hydrogen by reforming raw fuel and steam, and a hydrogen production that includes a burner that heats the reforming unit. And a fuel cell stack that generates power using reformed gas generated by a hydrogen production device, the method of controlling a fuel cell system comprising: Of the burner and fuel cell stack, the reformed gas supply destination setting step set only for the burner and the supply amount of raw fuel supplied to the reforming unit at the start of the hydrogen production device maximizes the hydrogen production efficiency. The raw fuel supply amount control step for controlling the supply amount to be ¼ or less of the supply amount, and the reforming of the raw fuel supplied to the reforming unit at the time of starting the hydrogen production apparatus with respect to the amount of carbon An S / C control step for controlling the S / C determined by the molar ratio of the amount of water vapor to be supplied to 6.0 or more, a burner flame state detection step for detecting a flame state in the burner, And a reformed gas supply destination changing step of changing the supply destination of the reformed gas to the fuel cell stack based on the state of the flame in the burner detected by the burner flame state detecting means.
According to the control method of the fuel cell system according to the present invention, in the reformed gas supply destination setting step, the reformed gas is supplied only to the burner at the time of starting the hydrogen production apparatus (so-called bypass line), thereby stabilizing hydrogen generation. And the CO concentration can be reduced, and then the reformed gas can be supplied to the fuel cell stack to generate power. Here, at the time of starting the hydrogen production apparatus, in the reformed gas supply destination setting step, the reformed gas supply destination is set only to the burner, so that the hydrogen production apparatus is in a self-sustaining operation state while the raw fuel supply is performed. In the amount control step, the supply amount of the raw fuel is controlled to be ¼ or less of the supply amount that maximizes the hydrogen production efficiency, so that the supply amount of the raw fuel is the optimum amount for the independent operation. be able to. Furthermore, in the S / C control step, the S / C can be set to an optimum value for the independent operation by controlling the S / C to be 6.0 or more. As described above, the hydrogen production apparatus can be thermally independent by optimizing the supply amount of raw fuel and the S / C. As a result, it is possible to maintain a state in which the entire amount of reformed gas is supplied to the burner for a long time without causing problems (for example, burner failure or container deformation) associated with the independent operation of the hydrogen production apparatus. . Furthermore, in the present invention, since there is a burner flame state detection step for detecting the state of the flame in the burner, the burner flame state detection step causes the burner in the self-sustaining operation state where the reformed gas is supplied to the burner. A flame condition can be detected. In the reformed gas supply destination changing step, the reformed gas supply destination can be changed to the fuel cell stack based on the burner flame state detected in the burner flame state detecting step. As described above, it is possible to make the hydrogen production apparatus thermally independent, thereby stabilizing the hydrogen generation and supplying the reformed gas to the fuel cell stack in a state where the CO concentration is reliably reduced, and producing hydrogen. Deterioration of the catalyst in the apparatus can be suppressed.
According to the present invention, it is possible to make the hydrogen production apparatus thermally independent, thereby supplying the reformed gas to the fuel cell stack in a state where hydrogen generation is sufficiently stabilized and the CO concentration is reliably reduced. At the same time, it is possible to suppress the deterioration of the catalyst in the hydrogen production apparatus and to generate the necessary hydrogen amount of the fuel cell.

The low temperature

The control process shown in FIG. 3 stabilizes the hydrogen generation and ensures the CO concentration of the reformed gas by controlling the
After the condition is satisfied in S <b> 60, the
Next, the
Based on the detection result from the flame
After supplying the selective oxidation air to the selective
When the occurrence of flame in the
In S150 to S170, when the raw fuel supply amount, the S / C, and the supply amount of selective oxidation air reach the target values, the raw fuel supply amount by the raw
With reference to FIG.5 and FIG.6, the mode of the change of the water supply amount in S110-S190 of FIG. 3, a raw fuel supply amount, and the selective oxidation air supply amount is demonstrated. First, in the self-sustaining operation state, after the raw fuel supply is started in S110, the water supply amount is maintained constant, and the raw fuel supply amount is set to a supply amount equal to or less than ¼ of the maximum efficiency supply amount. At a constant. Thereby, S / C is also maintained at 6.0 or more, and it is possible to stably maintain the autonomous operation state. Next, at the timing indicated by the time DT, detection of the flame occurrence of the
As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the selective oxidation air supply amount may be constant, or may be changed together with the raw fuel supply amount and the water supply amount. Further, the
Next, operations and effects of the
According to the
Here, FIG. 7 is used to compare the case where the raw fuel supply amount and the S / C satisfy the condition in the
On the other hand, the
Further, in the
In the
In the
Further, in the
Further, in the
Further, in the
