Description
The present invention relates to a battery management apparatus, system, and method for supplying power to a wireless communication cassette used in a radiographic imaging apparatus.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in the medical field, a radiographic imaging apparatus that irradiates a subject (patient) with radiation such as X-rays, receives radiation transmitted through the subject, and images the internal structure of the subject has been used. Photosensitive films were used to receive radiation, but digital images could be easily obtained with the advent of radiation detectors such as imaging plates and flat panel detectors. Recently, in order to improve the operability of the radiographic imaging apparatus, a proposal has been made to provide a wireless communication function in a cassette incorporating a radiation detector (see
As described in
In both
The present invention has been made in view of the above background, and an object thereof is to prevent a plurality of batteries from being exhausted at the same time.
In order to achieve the above object, a battery management device for a wireless communication type cassette according to the present invention includes an information acquisition unit for acquiring battery information from a wireless communication type cassette or a battery charger for supplying power with a battery, Control means for performing control to extend the life of at least one of the plurality of batteries from the other based on the information acquired by the information acquisition means.
The battery information includes an ID that uniquely identifies the battery. The control means sends a command to a charger loaded with a battery with a specific ID so as to complete charging with a charge amount that extends the lifetime most.
Examples of the battery information include, in addition to the ID, information that indirectly indicates the degree of deterioration of the battery, such as the remaining battery amount, the number of times of charging, the usage time, the charging time, and the usage start date. In this case, the control means selects a replacement recommended battery so as to extend the life of at least one of the plurality of batteries from the other based on the battery information. And the information of a replacement recommendation battery is displayed on a 1st display means. Along with the information on the recommended replacement battery, it may be displayed that the battery currently in use in the wireless communication cassette is in the replacement period.
Further, the control means determines when the battery life is exhausted based on the battery information. When it is determined that the battery has reached the end of its life, the fact is displayed on the second display means. A message prompting the user to order a new battery may be displayed together with a display indicating that the battery is exhausted.
The battery can be removed from the wireless communication cassette and charged with a charger.
The battery management method for a wireless communication cassette according to the present invention acquires battery information from a wireless communication cassette or a battery charger that supplies power with the battery, and based on the acquired information, The control is performed to extend the life of at least one of the batteries more than the others.
A battery management system for a wireless communication cassette according to the present invention includes a plurality of batteries, a wireless communication cassette that supplies power with the battery, a charger for the battery, a network for the wireless communication cassette and the charger. A battery management device connected to the battery management device, the battery management device based on information acquired by the information acquisition unit for acquiring information on the battery from the wireless communication type cassette or the charger, and information acquired by the information acquisition unit. And control means for performing control to extend the life of at least one of the plurality of batteries more than others.
According to the present invention, since control is performed to extend the life of at least one of the plurality of batteries more than the other, it is possible to prevent the life of the plurality of batteries from being exhausted at the same time.
In FIG. 1, an
A doctor in the medical department issues a test order for a test reservation through the terminal of the
The examination order includes the ID of the patient to be examined, patient name, order number, imaging location such as “shoulder”, “front of knee, side”, status indicating the progress of the examination, and a report from a doctor in the department There are items such as special notes that are filled in. Some examination orders are issued to one patient, while other examination orders are issued simultaneously to one patient. The inspection order is also provided with an item of inspection type for designating a device to be inspected. The
The
The
The
The
In FIG. 2, the
The
On one side of the
In FIG. 3, the X-ray
The
The
The
Specifically, the remaining
The
The
The
The
The
The communication I / F 73 is a LAN port, a WAN port, a router, or the like, and is connected to a communication cable connected to a network such as the
4, the
The
According to the
In this example, the
The
It is known that a lithium ion battery mainly used as the
Next, the effect | action by the said embodiment is demonstrated. The
The
The
The
In the above embodiment, an example in which two batteries are prepared in the same imaging room or round-trip car has been described, but two or more batteries may be prepared. For example, when three are prepared, two are normally used as 100% charge, and one is always used as 80% charge. In an emergency such as when a sudden inspection order enters and two batteries cannot be charged in time. Use preliminarily.
Even if the lifespan of a plurality of batteries is varied, there is no meaning if the variation range is within one day, because it will hinder the inspection of the day. For this reason, the battery management device sets the amount of charge instructed by the charge control signal so that the variation range of the battery life is at least one day or more (preferably the number of days until a new battery is ordered and delivered). .
Instead of or in addition to controlling the amount of charge of the battery, the life of the battery may be varied in other ways. For example, a battery with a large number of times of charge and use or a battery with an old use start date may be preferentially used.
In this case, an arithmetic expression for obtaining the degree of deterioration of the battery corresponding to various parameters such as the number of times of charging and the number of times of use, or a data table is stored in the storage device of the battery management device, and the degree of deterioration of the battery is quantitatively managed. . Specifically, the degree of deterioration of an unused battery is set to 100, for example, and the degree of deterioration is decremented when the number of times of charging and the number of times of use are incremented. When controlling the amount of charge of the battery, the degree of deterioration is minus 3 for 100% charge, minus 2 for 80% charge, and further when the battery is charged without reaching the use limit. Weight the number to be reduced, such as minus 1.2. Alternatively, the deterioration degree is decremented every certain number of days from the use start date. By quantifying the degree of deterioration of the battery in this way, it becomes easier to manage the lifespan.
A message window 90 shown in FIG. 5 pops up on the
The
Further, when the degree of deterioration falls below a certain threshold value, a message window 95 shown in FIG. 6 may be popped up on the
Instead of displaying the message window 95, or in addition, the service center may be notified that the time for replacement of the battery is approaching. In this case, a new order is requested from the service center to the hospital.
Along with the display of the message window, sound such as chimes may be output from a speaker attached to the battery management device or console to alert the radiologist. A radiological wristband may be attached to the radiologist and voice may be output from the wristband, or the wristband may be vibrated for reporting. In addition to the battery management device and the console display, a display unit such as an LCD may be provided in the cassette, and a message may be displayed on the display unit.
It is not necessary to perform control to vary the life from the beginning of use of the battery. If you use multiple batteries while replacing them, the use start date will not be complete, so the life will naturally vary unless the use frequency is biased. For this reason, the battery is normally used without being controlled for variations in life and charged, and when the entire life of a plurality of batteries falls below a certain threshold or the deterioration level of a plurality of batteries is unintentionally leveled. It is only necessary to perform control to vary the lifetime for the first time. For example, control may be performed so that the lifespan is leveled at the beginning of use, and the lifespan varies when the overall lifespan is halved. In short, any control method may be used as long as the lifetime of all the batteries is not exhausted at the same time. However, it goes without saying that no guidance is given to arbitrarily reduce the battery life, such as charging a battery that is already in use.
In the above-described embodiment, an example in which the battery is removable from the cassette and the battery is loaded in the cradle has been described. However, the battery may be charged by being loaded into the cradle for each cassette without removing the battery. Further, the means for storing the battery information is not limited to the EEPROM, but may be, for example, an RFID tag.
In the above embodiment, the battery management device is provided separately from the console and the RIS. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the console and the RIS may have the function of the battery management device. When the console assumes the battery management function, battery information is exchanged between the consoles of the plurality of X-ray imaging apparatuses. Further, the battery discharge voltage information may be transmitted from the cassette or the cradle to the battery management device, and the remaining amount of the battery may be detected on the battery management device side. Furthermore, although the cradle is directly connected to the console, the cradle may be connected to the LAN. The network configuration of each device and system can be changed as appropriate without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
