Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a pneumatic stud tire in which stud pins are planted on a tread surface of a tire, and more particularly to a pneumatic stud tire that is advantageous in preventing the stud pins from coming off.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a pneumatic stud tire is known in which stud pins are planted on a tread surface of a tire in order to improve running performance on an icy and snowy road surface.
In a pneumatic stud tire, the holding force of the stud pin is reduced due to deformation of the tire during braking and cornering. And in the location where holding power fell, the movement of the stud pin became large, the abrasion of the rubber | gum around a stud pin progressed quickly, and there existed a problem that a stud pin came out early.
Therefore, the present applicant has provided a pneumatic stud tire that is advantageous in preventing the stud pin from coming off (Patent Document 1).
In the previous application, the surrounding rubber portion extending over the entire length of the stud pin implanted in the tread portion is formed with higher hardness than the other rubber portions surrounding the surrounding rubber portion by electromagnetic induction heating.
According to such an earlier application, it is advantageous for preventing the stud pin from coming off.
However, the previous application required an electromagnetic induction heating device large enough to accommodate the tire, which was disadvantageous in reducing the cost of the pneumatic stud tire.
The present invention has been devised in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a pneumatic stud tire that is advantageous in preventing the removal of stud pins while reducing costs.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention comprises a tread portion comprising an under tread layer and a cap rubber layer that is made of rubber having a lower hardness than the under tread layer and is laminated on the under tread layer to form a tread surface, A stud pin is planted on the tread surface, and the stud pin has a main body shaft portion planted on the tread surface and a projecting shaft portion connected to the main body shaft portion and exposed from the tread surface, and the main body shaft portion. The end opposite to the projecting shaft in the longitudinal direction is a pneumatic stud tire embedded in the undertread layer, and measured with an A type durometer of JISK6253 rather than the rubber constituting the cap rubber layer One surface in the thickness direction of the high hardness rubber layer is made of a rubber having a hardness of 5 to 10 and having a thickness shorter than the length of the main body shaft portion. Embedded in the cap rubber layer so as to be positioned on the tread surface toward the portion of the main shaft unit of the tread near is held to penetrate the high-hardness rubber layer at the high-hardness rubber layer.
In the present invention, the base end of the main body shaft portion is held by the under tread layer, and the portion of the main body shaft portion that becomes the base end of the protruding shaft portion is held by the high-hardness rubber layer. This can be strengthened, and is advantageous in preventing the stud pin from coming off by suppressing the wear of the rubber around the stud pin.
In addition, a high-hardness rubber layer embedded in the cap rubber layer by attaching a high-hardness rubber layer to the peripheral surface of the cap rubber layer of the green tire and performing a vulcanization process using a mold in this state before vulcanization The layer can be easily formed, and therefore an electromagnetic induction heating device large enough to accommodate the tire is not necessary, which is advantageous in reducing the cost of the pneumatic stud tire.
