Description

The present invention relates to a lighting fixture that uses a light emitting element such as an LED as a light source and can improve the heat dissipation of the light source.

As the temperature of a light emitting element such as an LED increases, the light output decreases and the service life is shortened. For this reason, for lighting fixtures that use solid light emitting elements such as LEDs and EL elements as light sources, it is possible to suppress the temperature of the light emitting elements from rising in order to extend the service life or improve characteristics such as light emission efficiency. It is necessary.

In the lighting fixture which employ | adopted LED as a light source, what improves the heat dissipation of the heat which generate | occur | produces from LED is proposed (for example, refer patent document 1 and patent document 2). The lighting fixture shown by patent document 1 forms the recessed part by which the opening part was provided in the side wall in the other end part of the instrument main body, and performs heat dissipation effectively with the external air which flows through an instrument main body and this recessed part. . Further, the one disclosed in Patent Document 2 attaches a light source block to a heat radiating attachment plate, attaches this attachment plate to the fixture body using a heat radiating attachment portion, and heats the light source block to the fixture main body. It conducts heat and dissipates heat.

However, the luminaires shown in Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2 use an attachment member that supports the main body to the support member in a relationship in which the apparatus main body is attached to the support member disposed around the main body. This does not improve the heat dissipation effect.
An object of this invention is to provide the lighting fixture which accelerates heat dissipation using the attachment member which supports a fixture main body to a support member, and suppresses the temperature rise of a light emitting element effectively.

The lighting fixture according to claim 1 is a thermally conductive main body having a heat radiating fin on an outer peripheral surface; a light source unit using a light emitting element thermally coupled to the main body as a light source; A support member having thermal conductivity disposed around and supporting the main body; connecting the radiating fin of the main body to the support member and attaching the main body to the support member; and transferring heat from the radiating fin to the support member And a mounting member.
In the present invention and the following inventions, definitions and technical meanings of terms are as follows unless otherwise specified.

The main body can be formed, for example, by die casting made of an aluminum alloy. However, the material is not particularly limited as long as it has thermal conductivity. The radiating fin increases the surface area of the outer peripheral surface of the main body, and is not limited to a shape such as a fin, a flat plate, or a chevron, but may be formed so as to protrude, and the shape is not limited.
That the light source unit is thermally coupled to the main body means, for example, a state in which a substrate on which the light emitting element is mounted contacts the main body and heat conduction is performed.

A light emitting element is solid light emitting elements, such as LED and organic EL. When the light emitting element is mounted on the substrate, it is preferable that the light emitting element is mounted by a chip-on-board method in which the light emitting element is directly mounted on the substrate or a package of the light emitting element by a surface mounting method. However, the mounting method is not particularly limited due to the nature of the present invention. There is no particular limitation on the number of light emitting elements.

The support member disposed around the main body may have a frame shape or a form surrounding the main body. The point is that the main body may be supported.
The attachment member has both a function of attaching the main body to the support member and a function of heat transfer, and can be formed of, for example, a metal material having thermal conductivity.

The lighting fixture according to claim 2 is characterized in that in the lighting fixture according to claim 1, the heat dissipating fin of the main body and the support member are separated by an attachment member, and a gap is formed. To do.
With this configuration, outside air can be circulated through the gap, and heat dissipation of the heat radiating fins and the support member can be promoted.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, it is possible to provide a lighting fixture that can promote heat dissipation using the mounting member that supports the fixture body on the support member, and can effectively suppress the temperature rise of the light emitting element.
According to the invention described in claim 2, in addition to the invention described in claim 1, since the gap is formed between the radiation fin and the support member, the heat radiation is further promoted.

It is a front view which shows the lighting fixture which concerns on embodiment of this invention. It is a disassembled perspective view which removes and shows the same light distribution member. It is sectional drawing which mainly shows a light source part. It is a perspective view which expands and shows a part of the same attachment member and the radiation fin of a main body.

The luminaire according to the embodiment of the present invention is a downlight 1 of a type embedded in a ceiling C, which will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4. In the drawings, the same parts are denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant description is omitted. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the downlight includes an instrument body 2, a light distribution member 3, a support member 4, a frame 5, a mounting member 6, and a power supply unit (not shown). On both sides of the support member 4, C-channel type fixtures 7 that are fixed to beams provided on the back of the ceiling are provided.

The apparatus main body 2 has a thermal conductivity and is formed in a substantially cylindrical shape, and has an inner peripheral surface formed in an inclined shape that widens in the front side, that is, in the irradiation direction. The main body 2 is formed of a material having good thermal conductivity, for example, an aluminum alloy die casting. Furthermore, a plurality of heat radiation fins 21 extending in the vertical direction are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the main body 2. A light source unit 8, which will be described in detail later, is disposed inside the main body 2.

The light distribution member 3 is formed in a conical shape that spreads toward the front side. The light distribution member 3 is formed of, for example, a metal material such as aluminum, and the inner peripheral surface is configured as a reflection surface. Further, the light distribution member 3 is integrally formed with an annular flange 31 extending in the outer peripheral direction as a decorative frame at an end portion of a substantially circular opening that widens toward the front side.

The light distribution member 3 configured as described above is disposed so as to surround the periphery of the light source unit 8. The light distribution member 3 has a function of controlling the light distribution of the light emitted from the light source unit 8 by an inclined form that spreads toward the front side. For example, it has a function of suppressing glare.

The support member 4 is a member for attaching and supporting the instrument body 2 and installing it on the back of the ceiling. The support member 4 is formed in a substantially U shape with a metal material having thermal conductivity such as a galvanized steel sheet, and has a form surrounding the main body 2. The support member 4 includes a top plate 41 located on the back side of the main body 2 and side plates 42 disposed so as to hang vertically from both sides of the top plate 41. The side plate 42 has one end side (upper side in the drawing) attached to the top plate 41 and the other end side (lower side in the drawing) attached to the frame 5.

The frame 5 is formed in a ring shape having a cylindrical portion 51. The cylindrical portion 51 is attached with a butterfly-shaped leaf spring 52 that elastically protrudes toward the inner peripheral side of the cylindrical portion 51. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 2, the light distribution member 3 is inserted through the opening of the frame 5, disposed so as to surround the periphery of the light source unit 8, and held by the elastic force of the leaf spring 52.

The attachment member 6, which will be described in detail later, is a member that supports the main body 2 on the support member 4, has thermal conductivity, one end is attached to the heat radiation fin 21 of the main body 2, and the other end is the top plate of the support member 4. 41 is attached. The attachment member 6 is provided at two opposing positions on the outer periphery of the main body 2.

A power supply unit (not shown) includes a power supply circuit and a terminal block, and is electrically connected to the instrument body 2. Specifically, a power supply line and a ground line for supplying power to the light source unit 8 are connected.
Next, as shown in FIG. 3, the light source unit 8 includes a substrate 81, a light emitting element 82 mounted on the substrate 81, and a reflector 83.

The substrate 81 has a substantially circular plate shape, and a plurality of light emitting elements 82 serving as a light source are mounted on the surface side. The light emitting element 82 is an LED package, and the LED package is mounted on the substrate 4 by a surface mounting method. The LED package emits white light when energized.

In order to improve the heat dissipation of each light emitting element 82, it is preferable to apply a metal material having good thermal conductivity such as aluminum and excellent heat dissipation to the substrate 81 as the base plate. In this embodiment, a metal base substrate in which an insulating layer is laminated on one surface of an aluminum base plate is used as such a substrate 81. Note that when the base plate is made of an insulating material, a ceramic resin or a synthetic resin material such as a glass epoxy resin can be applied.

On the surface side of the substrate 81, a reflector 83 made of polycarbonate, ASA resin or the like is disposed. The reflector 83 has aluminum deposited on its surface, and has a function of efficiently irradiating light emitted from the light emitting elements 82 by individually controlling light distribution for each of the light emitting elements 82.

The reflector 83 has a disk shape and is opposed to each light emitting element 82 and has a plurality of openings 83a of the same number as the light emitting elements 82. The inside of each opening 83a has a substantially bowl-shaped reflecting surface 83b. Is formed. The reflection surface 83b is expanded in the light irradiation direction, and one reflection surface 83b is formed for each opening 83a.
The light source unit 8 configured as described above is attached and disposed on the inner side of the main body 2 by an attachment screw 84 as a fixing means.

More specifically, the main body 2 has a heat conducting portion 22 that is recessed on the inside and is disposed in close contact with the back side of the substrate 81. The inner surface side of the heat conducting portion 22 is formed in a flat surface and has a circular shape. A screw hole is formed on the center back surface side of the reflector 83. The reflector 83 is fixed to the heat conducting unit 22 by a mounting screw 84 that is screwed into the screw hole. The attachment screw 84 is screwed into the screw hole through the heat conducting portion 22 and the screw through hole of the substrate 81. The tightening force of the mounting screw 84 acts in the direction of pulling the reflector 83 toward the heat conducting portion 22 side. Therefore, the rib on the back surface side of the reflector 83 comes into contact with the front surface side of the substrate 81 and presses the front surface side of the substrate 81.

In this case, the substrate 81 is disposed between the back surface side of the reflector 83 and the inner surface side of the heat conducting unit 22. For this reason, by fixing the reflector 83 to the heat conducting unit 22, the substrate 81 is sandwiched between the back surface side of the reflector 83 and the inner surface side of the heat conducting unit 22. Therefore, the fixing means does not act directly on the substrate 81.
As described above, the light source unit 8 is attached to the inside of the main body 2. Then, the substrate 81 is thermally coupled to the heat conducting unit 22.

Further, a translucent cover 9 is supported and disposed on the surface side of the reflector 83 by a ring-shaped pressing member 10. The cover 9 has a circular shape and is made of a glass material.

In addition, the inner case 11 is fixedly disposed on the heat conducting portion 22 inside the main body 2. The inner case 11 has a substantially cylindrical shape along the inner peripheral surface of the main body 2 and is formed by applying a white coating to a metal material such as a galvanized steel sheet. The pressing member 10 is fixed to the inner case 11 with screws.

Next, as representatively shown in FIG. 4, the attachment member 6 includes a connection member 61 bent in a substantially U shape and a rod-shaped pipe member 62. The connection member 61 is made of a metal material such as a galvanized steel plate, and has a rectangular main surface 63, a contact surface 64 bent on both sides thereof, and a fixing surface 65 of the pipe member 62.

The contact surface 64 is formed with a through hole 64a through which the pipe member 62 passes and screw through holes 64b on both sides thereof. A screw through hole 65 a for fixing the pipe member 62 is formed in the fixing surface 65.

The pipe member 62 is made of a brass pipe material, and has screw holes at both ends. The pipe member 62 is inserted from the through hole 64a of the contact surface 64, is brought into contact with the screw through hole portion of the fixed surface 65, and is screwed by a mounting screw 62a from the lower side of the fixed surface 65 in the drawing. It is integrated with the connecting member 61 (see FIG. 3).

The attachment member 6 configured as described above is attached with the contact surface 64 fixed to the heat radiating fin 21 of the main body 2 by an attachment screw 66 as a fixing means. On the upper surface side of the heat radiating fin 21, a mounting surface 21a having a slightly widened screw hole is formed. The contact surface 64 is placed on the placement surface 21 a, and an attachment screw 66 penetrating the screw through hole 64 b is screwed into surface contact, and the attachment member 6 is attached to the radiating fin 21.

On the other hand, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, a mounting screw 62 b that passes through a screw through hole formed in the top plate 41 of the support member 4 is screwed into the screw hole on the upper end side of the pipe member 62. Thereby, the attachment member 6 is attached to the support member 4. As a result, the attachment member 6 connects the radiation fin 21 of the main body 2 and the support member 4, and the main body 2 is attached to the support member 4 by the attachment member 6. In this case, the upper surface of the radiating fin 21 of the main body 2 and the support member 4, that is, the top plate 41, are separated by a predetermined distance by the attachment member 6 so that a gap S is formed.

Next, the operation of this embodiment will be described. When the power supply unit is energized, the light emitting element 82 emits light by supplying power to the substrate 81 of the light source unit 8. Most of the light emitted from each light emitting element 82 passes through the translucent cover 9 and is irradiated forward. A part of the light is once reflected by each reflecting surface 83 b of the reflector 83 corresponding to each light emitting element 82, and thereby light distribution is controlled, and the light is transmitted forward through the cover 9. And the light irradiated ahead is irradiated by light distribution control by the light distribution member 3 as a whole.

During the light emission of the light emitting element 82, heat is generated. The heat generated from the light emitting element 82 is mainly transmitted from the back surface side of the substrate 81 to the heat conducting portion 22 of the main body 2. This heat is conducted to the entire end of the main body 2 and conducted to the heat radiation fins 21 to be radiated. Further, the heat conducted to the radiation fin 21 is further transmitted from the contact surface 64 of the mounting member 6 to the main surface 63 and the fixed surface 65. This heat is then conducted to the support member 4 through the pipe member 62. Therefore, the heat generated from the light emitting element 82 is effectively dissipated through this conduction process.

In addition, since a gap S is formed between the heat radiation fin 21 of the main body 2 and the support member 4, the outside air flows through this portion, and the heat radiation of the heat radiation fin 21 and the support member 4 is promoted.

As described above, according to the present embodiment, the attachment member 6 that attaches the main body 2 to the support member 4 is used to connect the heat radiation fin 21 and the support member 4 of the main body 2 by this attachment member. Since heat is transmitted to the support member 4 to promote heat dissipation, the temperature rise of the light emitting element 82 can be effectively suppressed. Further, the heat radiation of the heat radiation fin 21 and the support member 4 is promoted by the gap S between the heat radiation fin 21 and the support member 4.
