Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an information processing apparatus that makes it possible to take out abnormal AC voltage fluctuations from the outside of the information processing apparatus.
Conventionally, in an information processing apparatus (for example, a workstation, a server, a copier / multifunction machine) that operates by receiving AC (alternating current) power supply from a commercial power source, AC voltage abnormal fluctuation (hereinafter, power failure or instantaneous interruption of the commercial power source) It is known that AC abnormalities) significantly disturbs the stable operation of the apparatus and leads to a decrease in the function of the apparatus, and in the worst case, the apparatus may malfunction or stop operating.
In such a case, it is generally considered that there is a problem with the information processing apparatus, and this leads to a decrease in product reliability. However, since AC abnormality often recovers to a normal state in a relatively short time, much time is required for subsequent cause analysis. Therefore, by installing an AC abnormality detection circuit that detects an AC abnormality and storing log information of the detection history in the same device, it is possible to quickly analyze the cause when an operation trouble occurs in the information processing apparatus due to an AC abnormality. What has been made is already known.
However, with the conventional technology for storing AC abnormality log information (hereinafter referred to as AC abnormality log) in the apparatus with a single CPU, there is a possibility that the stored AC abnormality log cannot be extracted.
Specifically, when the power supply of the information processing apparatus suddenly goes down due to the occurrence of an AC abnormality, there is a possibility that the apparatus will subsequently fall into a startup failure. In this case, since the CPU cannot operate normally, it is impossible to take out the AC abnormality log from the information processing apparatus, and it is impossible to continuously observe the AC abnormality occurrence state. There is a problem.
Even if the storage destination of the AC abnormality log is a removable memory card, it is still impossible to continuously observe the AC abnormality occurrence status under a situation where the CPU is not operating normally. In addition, there is a risk that the device will be enlarged by mounting the socket for attaching / detaching the card, and a memory card containing an important AC abnormality log may be stolen.
Patent Document 1 includes an instantaneous interruption determination circuit, a power failure determination circuit, a nonvolatile memory, and a controller thereof for the purpose of saving more data from a volatile memory to a nonvolatile memory when an AC instantaneous interruption occurs. An information processing apparatus is disclosed that determines the degree of necessity of data saving to a nonvolatile memory from the output results of a circuit and a power failure determination circuit, and effectively transfers data.
Although the information processing apparatus of Patent Document 1 can certainly write the AC abnormality log to the nonvolatile memory when an AC abnormality occurs, as pointed out above, when the information processing apparatus has a startup failure, an AC abnormality The problem that the log cannot be taken out from the information processing apparatus and the AC abnormality occurrence state cannot be continuously observed in this state has not been solved.
FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating an example of a configuration of an information processing apparatus equipped with an AC abnormality detection circuit.
As shown in FIG. 1, the information processing apparatus 1 is an apparatus that operates by receiving AC (alternating current) power from an external commercial power source. The AC power input from the commercial power source is first efficiently converted into single-level DC (direct current) power by the AC /
On the other hand, the AC input from the commercial power supply is also input to the AC
The subsequent operations and processes vary depending on the system specifications of the information processing apparatus 1. For example, when an AC abnormality of a commercial power source is detected, (1) the
Supplementing the explanation of these processing operations, data writing to the
FIG. 7 is a diagram showing a power supply system of the information processing apparatus shown in FIG.
As shown in the figure, the AC power supply system A supplied from the commercial power supply supplies power to the AC /
However, in the information processing apparatus shown in FIG. 6, as shown in FIG. 7, when an abnormality occurs in the AC power supply system A or the supply is interrupted, the DC system power supply system C and the DC standby power supply system D are used. In both cases, normal power supply is not performed. That is, the information processing apparatus shown in FIG. 6 can operate by receiving supply of DC power generated by the DC /
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems of the prior art, and its purpose is to extract an AC abnormality log stored before from the outside even in a state where the information processing apparatus has failed to start. In addition to the above, it is possible to continuously observe the AC abnormality occurrence state even in this state.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing the configuration of an information processing apparatus equipped with an AC abnormality detection circuit according to the present invention.
As shown in the figure, the information processing apparatus 1 according to the present invention has an AC abnormality

As shown in the figure, a
For this purpose, when a plurality of power supplies are activated simultaneously, it is only necessary that the voltage for the power supply system with higher priority is higher for the cathode side voltage of the

(S107)。 When it is determined that log writing is to be performed (S101, YES), a timer for managing the log writing interval time is started (S102), and then acquisition of an AC abnormality log is started (S103). Monitoring of input of ACERR # signal as a notification signal is started (S104). When the ACERR # signal is input, that is, when an AC abnormality has occurred (YES in S104), date / time information is acquired from the information processing apparatus 1 (S105), and the date / time information + AC abnormality occurrence flag is set in the AC abnormality occurrence log. One information is temporarily stored in the RAM 46 (S106) and displayed on the display unit mounted on the operation unit 47 (S107).
Here, it is confirmed whether or not the AC abnormality log storage area allocated in advance on the
Here, the timer set value is a default value stored in the AC abnormality log management setting area, but may be a value that can be arbitrarily changed or may be changed using the
After that, after resetting the timer (S111), it is determined whether or not to acquire the AC abnormality log (S112). If not, that is, if acquisition of the AC abnormality log is stopped (S112, YES) If the process ends and continues (S112, NO), the process returns to step S102 to restart the timer.
Further, when it is determined that the time information cannot be acquired from the information processing apparatus 1 in step S100 processing and the
The date and time information is not added to the AC abnormality log transmitted from the USB port, and it is difficult to use it in the analysis as it is. However, when the AC abnormality log is received on the
