Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a welding method for performing laser welding while melting a filler metal with laser light.
In welding a differential case made of cast iron and a ring gear made of steel, it is necessary to supply a welding wire during welding in order to ensure the quality of the welded portion. Moreover, in order to achieve high strength in the welded portion, it is necessary to ensure a sufficient penetration depth of the weld bead.
In laser welding using conventional laser light (condensed diameter: about φ0.6 mm), the energy density of the laser light in the welded portion is insufficient, so that the penetration depth of the weld bead has become small. Therefore, a groove processing is performed on the joint surface of the differential case and the joint surface of the ring gear to increase the penetration depth of the weld bead.
For example, in
However, in the technique of
Then, this invention is made | formed in order to solve the above-mentioned problem, and makes it a subject to provide the welding method which can reduce manufacturing cost.
One aspect of the present invention made to solve the above-mentioned problems is that the melting material is melted by condensing and irradiating the laser beam to the abutting portion between the surface of the first member and the surface of the second member. In the welding method for performing laser welding between the first member and the second member, the concentrating diameter of the laser beam without performing groove processing on the surface of the first member and the surface of the second member. Is 0.2 mm or less.
According to this aspect, since groove processing is not performed on the surface of the first member and the surface of the second member, the processing cost does not occur, and thus the manufacturing cost can be reduced. Moreover, a necessary penetration depth can be ensured by setting the condensing diameter of the laser beam to φ0.2 mm or less.
The groove processing means that the surface of the first member or the surface of the second member is inclined in advance so that a groove or the like is formed in the abutting portion when the surface of the first member and the surface of the second member are abutted. Or processing so as to form a step or a recess in the surface of the first member or the surface of the second member.
As one aspect of the present invention, it is preferable that the penetration depth of the weld bead formed by performing the laser welding is 5 mm or more.
According to this aspect, the strength of the welded portion can be ensured.
According to this aspect, the necessary penetration depth can be ensured.
As one aspect of the present invention, it is preferable that the first member is a cast material and the second member is a steel material.
According to this aspect, manufacturing costs can be reduced in laser welding of a cast material using a filler metal and a steel material.
As an aspect of the present invention, it is preferable that the first member is a differential case that is a housing member of a differential gear, and the second member is a ring gear of the differential gear.
According to this aspect, the manufacturing cost can be reduced in laser welding of the differential case and the ring gear.
According to the welding method according to the present invention, the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
The present invention relates to a method for welding the first member and the second member. In this embodiment, as an example, a method for welding a differential case (housing member) and a ring gear in a differential gear of an automobile will be described.
FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of the vicinity of a butt portion between the
As shown in FIG. 1, in this embodiment, a step is formed in the arrangement direction of the
In the
Then, as shown in FIGS. 2A and 2B, at the
Here, although the penetration depth of the
The penetration depth of the
Then, as shown in FIG. 3A, when the condensing diameter of the
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 3B, when the condensing diameter of the
Further, as shown in FIG. 3C, when the condensing diameter of the
Here, as an example, assuming that the maximum torque applied to the
Further, when the condensing diameter of the
As described above, in this embodiment, the converging diameter of the
In the method of welding the
As shown in the evaluation results of FIGS. 3 and 4, when the condensing diameter of the
The above-described embodiment can also be applied to an example of welding between the
Next, as shown in FIG. 6B, the
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 6 as well, the condensing diameter of the
Similarly to the above embodiment, the manufacturing cost can be further reduced if the condensing diameter of the
The above-described embodiment can also be applied to an example of welding between the
Next, as shown in FIG. 7B, while supplying the
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 7 as well, by setting the condensing diameter of the
Similarly to the above embodiment, the manufacturing cost can be further reduced if the condensing diameter of the
