The
FIG. 2 is a block diagram showing a detailed configuration of the
Further, an
The
The pH measuring device 9 is provided between the
On the other hand, the
Next, the operation and effect of the mercury removing apparatus configured as described above will be described with reference to experimental data shown in FIGS.
FIG. 3 shows experimental results showing the effectiveness of using a trivalent iron (Fe 3+ ) component as a mercury oxidizing agent. More specifically, iron chloride (FeCl 3 ) containing trivalent iron (Fe 3+ ) as a component and iron chloride (FeCl 2 ) containing divalent iron (Fe 2+ ) as components. Titanium chloride (TiCl 4 ) containing tetravalent titanium (Ti 4+ ) as a component, Titanium chloride (TiCl 3 ) containing trivalent titanium (Ti 3+ ) as a component, and trivalent aluminum (Al 3+ ) as components Aqueous solutions containing aluminum chloride (AlCl 3 ) and potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KH 2 PO 4 ) containing pentavalent phosphorus (P 5+ ) as components, respectively, and zero-valent mercury (Hg 0 ) gas and nitrogen The removal rate of zero-valent mercury (Hg 0 ) when a mixed gas of (N 2 ) gas is brought into gas-liquid contact is shown. In this experiment, the concentration of the target components (Fe 3+ , Fe 2+ , Ti 4+ , Ti 3+ , Al 3+ , P 5+ ) is adjusted to 100 ppm, and the pH of each aqueous solution is adjusted to about 1 by adding hydrochloric acid (HCl). did.
As is apparent from the experimental results, an aqueous solution of iron chloride (FeCl 3 ) containing trivalent iron (Fe 3+ ) as a component exhibits a high Hg 0 removal rate, but divalent iron (Fe 2+ ) as a component. Other aqueous solutions, including iron chloride (FeCl 2 ), exhibit very low Hg 0 removal rates.
Trivalent iron (Fe 3+ ) has the ability to oxidize zero-valent mercury (Hg 0 ), that is, the ability to accept electrons from zero-valent mercury (Hg 0 ) and convert it into divalent mercury (Hg 2+ ). It can be seen that it is extremely high. Here, FIG. 3 shows only the results of an experiment conducted at
Subsequently, FIG. 4 shows the pH and trivalent iron (Fe 3+ ) given to the Hg 0 removal rate in the case of using iron chloride (FeCl 3 ) excellent in oxidation performance against zero-valent mercury (Hg 0 ) as described above. It is an experimental result which shows the influence of the density | concentration of. In this experiment, the concentration of trivalent iron (Fe 3+ ) in an aqueous solution of iron chloride (FeCl 3 ) was set to three types of 30 ppm, 150 ppm, and 1500 ppm. The pH of the original aqueous solution of iron chloride (FeCl 3 ) is about 2.
The applicant confirmed that the pH of the circulating water is about 0.8 to 1.5 by dissolving the acidic gas in the circulating water in the conventional
This experimental result shows that as the pH of the aqueous solution of iron chloride (FeCl 3 ) is increased from about 0.8 to 1.5, which is the conventional operating range of the
Specifically, first, when the concentration of trivalent iron (Fe 3+ ) in the aqueous solution is 30 ppm, the pH of the aqueous solution is about 0.8 to 1.5, which is a conventional operation region of the
The reason why the Hg 0 removal rate decreases when the pH is about 3 is that the pH of the aqueous solution of iron chloride (FeCl 3 ) is an optimum value (about 2 for each concentration of trivalent iron (Fe 3+ )). If it is higher than ˜3), ferric hydroxide (Fe (OH) 3 ) precipitates and trivalent iron (Fe 3+ ) effective for capturing zero-valent mercury (Hg 0 ) decreases. That was confirmed in this experiment.
Therefore, it can be seen that, in order to obtain a high Hg 0 removal rate, it is effective to set the pH of the aqueous solution to about 3 or less when iron chloride (FeCl 3 ) is used as the mercury oxidizing agent.
Further, according to this experimental result, when the pH of the aqueous solution of iron chloride (FeCl 3 ) is about 0.8 to 1.5, which is the conventional operation range of the
Therefore, in order to suppress the amount of iron chloride (FeCl 3 ) used as a mercury oxidizing agent as much as possible while obtaining a high Hg 0 removal rate, the pH of the aqueous solution is about 2 or more and about 3 or less, more preferably about 2.5. It can be seen that setting in the vicinity is effective.
The experimental results shown in FIG. 3 above are for a component composition different from the exhaust gas discharged from the
In FIG. 5, a counter-current spray type wet scrubber having the same configuration as the
FIG. 6 shows Experimental Examples 1 and 2 regarding the influence of gas-liquid contact on the simulated combustion exhaust gas. In this experiment, 100 ml of absorption liquid (iron chloride (FeCl 3 ) aqueous solution) was filled in each and a plurality of containers (impingers) for bubbling simulated combustion exhaust gas were prepared, and a single impinger bubbling the simulated combustion exhaust gas. When the simulated combustion exhaust gas is bubbled with three impingers connected in series, the simulated combustion exhaust gas is bubbled with 300 ml, and the simulated combustion exhaust gas is bubbled with five impingers connected in series. The Hg 0 removal rate was measured when the liquid volume was 500 ml.
Experimental Example 1 shows a case where the concentration of trivalent iron Fe 3+ is 100 ppm, and Experimental Example 2 shows a case where the concentration of trivalent iron Fe 3+ is 400 ppm.
That is, in this experiment, the amount of bubbling is 100 ml, the amount of bubbling is 100 ml, the amount of bubbling is 300 ml, and the amount of bubbling is 500 ml. According to this experimental result, it was confirmed that the Hg 0 removal rate increased as the number of bubbling times, that is, the number of gas-liquid contact between the simulated combustion exhaust gas and the absorbing liquid (iron chloride (FeCl 3 ) aqueous solution) was increased. In this experiment, it was confirmed that the Hg 0 removal rate exceeding 80% was obtained by five bubbling.
Incidentally, the experimental results of FIG. 6, but the number of simulated flue gas and liquid contact have shown that a significant effect on Hg 0 removal rate, to the state of the gas-liquid contact better the It is also extremely important to increase the contact area and contact time. Therefore, by devising the shape of the spray nozzle 7 and the column
