Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for game machines providing a whole surface light-emitting part of a light guide plate with a sufficient light intensity and capable of providing a light-emitting display mode rich with amusement by distributedly providing a plurality of hole light-emitting parts on a reflector; and to provide a game machine having the same. <P>SOLUTION: A lens 40 is disposed between the light guide plate 10 and the reflector 20, with its peripheral face and its front face coming into direct contact with the inner circumferential faces of extension parts 12 and 12 and with the rear face of the surface light-emitting part 11 respectively. Part of the light of the light guide plate LED 31 is introduced (leaked) from the extension parts 12 and 12 of the light guide plate 10 to the lens 40 and derived (returned) to the surface light-emitting part 11 of the light guide plate 10 from the lens 40. When propagating through the surface light-emitting part 11, the light of the light guide plate LED 31 is reflected on a contact face (a boundary face) between the surface light-emitting part 11 and the lens 40 and returned to the surface light-emitting part 11. The lens 40 can thus provide the whole surface light-emitting part 11 of the light guide plate 10 with the sufficient light intensity so as to prevent easy occurrence of light intensity insufficiency at the central portion of the surface light-emitting part 11 (a light-emitting region). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT

Description

The present invention relates to a display device for a gaming machine and a gaming machine including the same.

Conventionally, in various gaming machines including ball and ball game machines such as pachinko machines and alepatchi machines, and revolving type game machines such as slot machines and pachislot machines, jackpots (special gaming state) based on lottery results in the gaming machines, A variety of display devices are used to notify the possibility that the type of the acquired combination is established (preliminary display) or to perform final notification (final display) corresponding to the lottery result. Yes. Among such display devices, light-emitting elements such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs) can be easily used in any of (1) low power consumption, (2) long life, (3) dot matrix method and segment method. (4) The display output is stable, and (5) it can be displayed clearly and clearly.

The applicant of the present application provides, for example, a surface light emitting unit including a planar light guide plate on the player side of a segment display unit (main display unit) that displays symbols, and changes at least the light emission mode of the light emitting element for the light guide plate. Therefore, it has been proposed to diversify and diversify the symbol display mode while utilizing the clarity of the light emitting element (see Patent Document 1).

Japanese Patent No. 3774206

Thereby, a new game property can be added to the display device for gaming machines, and the interest of the player can be increased and the entertainment property can be improved. However, in such a display device, the light-emitting element for the light guide plate (first light-emitting element) is arranged corresponding to the extension extending from the peripheral edge of the light guide plate, so that the symbol display mode is enhanced. If the light emitting area of the surface light emitting part is to be enlarged, the light from the light emitting element for the light guide plate does not easily reach the central part of the surface light emitting part (light emitting area) at the farthest position, and the light quantity at the central part is likely to be insufficient. . Moreover, even if it is intended to further diversify and diversify by developing to an effect display pattern or the like, there is a limit to the display mode using the segment display unit.

An object of the present invention is to provide a gaming machine capable of providing an interesting light-emitting display mode by providing a sufficient amount of light to the entire surface light-emitting portion of the light guide plate and dispersing a plurality of hole light-emitting portions in the reflector. It is to provide a display device for use and a gaming machine including the same.

Means for Solving the Problems and Effects of the Invention

In order to solve the above problems, a display device for gaming machines of the present invention attached to a gaming machine is
The front side facing the player has a surface light-emitting part that spreads in a plane to display the first symbol consisting of numbers, letters, etc., and an extension that extends rearward from the periphery of the surface light-emitting part is integrated A translucent light guide plate formed automatically,
In order to illuminate and display a second symbol, which is arranged behind the surface light emitting portion of the light guide plate and is composed of numbers, letters, etc. in a form different from the first symbol within the light emitting region of the surface light emitting portion. A plate-like reflector having a plurality of hole light-emitting portions that emit light that is reflected by the inner surface of the through-holes that are formed through the second pattern.
A plurality of first light emitting elements disposed on an end face side of the extension part and passing through the through hole of the reflector in order to cause the surface light emitting part to emit light in a planar shape through the extension part of the light guide plate; A plurality of second light emitting elements arranged corresponding to the rear side of the through-hole in order to cause the hole light-emitting portion to emit light (for example, in the form of dots), a single common substrate mounted on the front side,
Between the light guide plate and the reflector, the light of the first light-emitting element that is disposed in direct contact with both of them directly or indirectly through another object and partially introduced from an extension of the light guide plate A plate-like light-transmitting body for guiding the light from the second light-emitting element that emits light from the hole light-emitting part of the reflector to the surface light-emitting part, and led to the surface light-emitting part of the light guide plate;
With
When the first light emitting element is turned on, the light is guided to the surface light emitting part through the extension part of the light guide plate and the light transmitting body, and the first light emitting element emits light. When lit, the light illuminates the hole light emitting part of the reflector to emit the second pattern, and passes through the light transmitting body and the surface light emitting part, whereby the first light by the surface light emitting part. The surface light emission display mode of the pattern and the light emission display mode in which the second pattern is dispersed (for example, in the form of scattered dots) by the hole light emitting part are visible in a multilayered manner.

According to such a display device for a gaming machine, a light transmitting member (for example, a lens) is disposed between the light guide plate and the reflector, so that a part of the light of the first light emitting element (for example, RGB three-color full color LED). Is introduced into the light-transmitting body from the extended portion of the light guide plate (leaks out) and is led out (returns) to the surface light emitting portion of the light guide plate through the light transmitting body. Alternatively, the light of the first light emitting element can be reflected at the contact surface (boundary surface) between the surface light emitting portion and the light transmitting body and propagate back to the surface light emitting portion when propagating through the surface light emitting portion. In this way, by providing a light transmitting body between the light guide plate and the reflector, a sufficient amount of light is provided to the entire surface light emitting portion of the light guide plate, resulting in a lack of light in the central portion of the surface light emitting portion (light emitting region). It becomes difficult. In addition, by providing a plurality of hole light-emitting portions in a reflector, it is easy to develop an effect display pattern and the like, and an interesting light-emitting display mode is possible. Furthermore, since the transparent body is located on the front side of the reflector and covers the hole light-emitting portion of the reflector and the second light-emitting element (for example, a single color LED) arranged correspondingly behind the reflector, the hole is formed when the second light-emitting element is turned off. While preventing the light-emitting part from being seen through and making it visible as the second light-emitting element is turned on, the player can be given a new interest.

(1)ひらかな・カタカナ・漢字・アルファベットのような各種の文字;
(2)算用数字・ローマ数字のような各種の数字;
(3)国旗・紋章・地図記号のような各種の記号;
(4)人物・動物・植物・擬人化されたキャラクタのような各種の図形;
In addition, as the light emission display object of the first and second “symbols”,
(1) Various characters such as hiragana, katakana, kanji and alphabet;
(2) Various numbers such as arithmetic and Roman numerals;
(3) Various symbols such as national flags, emblems, map symbols;
(4) Various figures such as people, animals, plants, anthropomorphic characters;
Etc., and by writing (displaying) these light-emitting display objects on the surface light-emitting part and the hole light-emitting part, hiding the surroundings (framing), and making a figure (image) Form.

In addition, for the light guide plate and the light transmitting body, a polymer material (for example, polycarbonate (polycarbonate; PC) resin or methacrylic (acrylic: PMMA) resin) having excellent translucency (transparency) and moldability is used. desirable. Further, for the first and second light emitting elements, any of RGB three-color full color LEDs and single color LEDs may be used.

The translucent body has a convex lens shape in which the outer peripheral surface is in direct contact with the inner peripheral surface of the extension portion and the front surface thereof is in direct contact with the rear surface of the surface light emitting portion, and the central portion is thicker than the outer peripheral edge portion. It is desirable to be formed.

In this way, a part of the light of the first light emitting element is introduced from the extension part of the light guide plate into the light transmission body (leakage) by the direct contact between the light transmission body, the extension part of the light guide plate and the surface light emitting part. ) After that, when the light is led out (returned) from the light transmitting body to the surface light emitting portion of the light guide plate, leakage to the outside can be almost eliminated. In addition, light is transmitted to the vicinity of the center of the surface light-emitting portion due to the convex lens effect of the light-transmitting body (the light emitted from the light-transmitting body to the surface light-emitting portion (returns the light from the first light-emitting element) In addition to the light reflected at the contact surface (boundary surface) and returning to the surface light emitting part, the light from the second light emitting element that has caused the hole light emitting part of the reflector to emit light) converges. It can be visually recognized in a state where the planar light emitting display mode of the pattern and the light emitting display mode of the second pattern dispersed are clearly superimposed.

In addition, the translucent body and the reflector are arranged via a plate-shaped or sheet-shaped light diffusing and transmissive member in order to pass the translucent body while diffusing the light of the second light emitting element that has emitted the hole light emitting portion of the reflector. May contact indirectly.

In this way, by interposing a light diffusing and transmitting member (for example, a diffusing lens or a diffusing sheet) between the translucent body and the reflector, the player can emphasize the light of the second light emitting element emitted from the hole light emitting unit. It can be visually recognized. In addition, since the light diffusing and transmitting member is interposed (sandwiched) between the translucent body and the reflector, the hole light emitting portion is not turned on when the second light emitting element is turned off regardless of whether the first light emitting element is turned on or off. It can prevent see-through. However, instead of sandwiching the light diffusing and transmitting member, or together with it, a plurality of narrow grooves such as cut grooves are formed on the rear surface of the light transmitting body, regardless of whether the first light emitting element is turned on or off. It is possible to prevent the hole light emitting portion from being seen through when the light emitting element is turned off.

In order to reduce the light loss when the light from the first light emitting element is guided to the extension part of the light guide plate, a reflection layer is formed on the extension part by painting, printing, applying a reflective seal, vacuum deposition, etc. A concavo-convex portion can be formed by adding a knurled shape (pyramid shape) or the like (Japanese Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 2008-22912, Japanese Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 2008-22913, Japanese Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 2008-26402, etc.) reference).

Then, by forming the first symbol shape on the surface light emitting part of the light guide plate, the first symbol becomes the foreground (the landscape on the near side) and the second symbol becomes the distant view (the landscape on the far side). It becomes easy to recognize.

(1)面発光部を前方側に膨出一体成形して第一の図柄形状を形成;
(2)面発光部の前面において、第一の図柄の全体に透光性の印刷;
(3)面発光部の前面において、第一の図柄の外周縁部に非透光性の塗装、印刷、めっき、真空蒸着;
(4)面発光部の前面に第一の図柄が印刷されたシ−ルを貼付;
In particular,
(1) The surface light emitting portion is bulged and integrally formed on the front side to form the first symbol shape;
(2) Translucent printing on the entire first pattern on the front surface of the surface light emitting unit;
(3) Non-translucent coating, printing, plating, vacuum deposition on the outer peripheral edge of the first pattern on the front surface of the surface light emitting unit;
(4) Affixing a seal printed with the first pattern on the front surface of the surface emitting part;
Such means can be used.

Alternatively, a case body that houses the light guide plate and holds the surface light-emitting portion from the front side is formed, and the first pattern is also formed in the case body so that the first pattern is a foreground (scenery on the near side). This makes it easier for the player to recognize the second symbol as a distant view (backside landscape).

Specifically, the first pattern shape can be formed in the case body by hollowing out. When the first symbol shape is also formed on the surface light emitting portion of the light guide plate by any one of the above (1) to (4) and combined with the case body, the planar light emitting display mode of the first symbol is used. Can be made more diverse.

Further, below the front frame 105, a ball tray 109 for storing a game ball for a launch (prize ball / rented ball) is extended in the left-right direction so as to bulge forward. At the lower right end of the front frame 105, a launching handle 110 for launching a game ball supplied from the ball receiving tray 109 to the game area 102a is formed to project forward. Further, the front frame 105 is provided with speakers 111 (a pair of left and right at the center upper end) in the vicinity of the launch handle 110 and directly at the upper center of the center just below the ball tray 109.

In the present specification, the vertical direction means a direction (for example, a vertical direction) in which the game ball flows down along the board surface of the game board 102. Further, the left and right direction means a direction (for example, a horizontal direction) intersecting with the up and down direction along the board surface of the game board 102, and means the left side and the right side when viewed from the player side (front side). Further, the front-rear direction means a direction intersecting (for example, orthogonal) with the game board 102, the side facing the player (front side) is the front side (front side), and the opposite side (back side) is It is the rear side (rear side).

2 is a perspective view showing an example of an effect display device according to the present invention, FIGS. 3 and 4 are exploded perspective views as seen from different directions, FIG. 5 is a front view, and FIG. 6 is a rear view. 7 is a front view for explaining the arrangement relationship of the light emitting substrate, the reflector, and the light guide plate, FIG. 8 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line AA in FIG. 5, FIG. 9 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line BB, and FIG. FIG. 11 is a front view for explaining a light emitting display mode. As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, the effect display device 1 has a rectangular parallelepiped box with a plurality of (for example, six) screws 9 (fastening members) including a case body 2 on the front side and a back cover 3 on the rear side. Assembled, and inside thereof, a translucent light guide plate 10, a rectangular plate-shaped reflector 20, a rectangular light-emitting substrate 30 (common substrate), a rectangular plate-shaped lens 40 (translucent body), A thin rectangular sheet-like diffusion sheet 50 (light diffusion / transmission member) is accommodated.

The light guide plate 10 has a frontal rectangular shape that spreads in a planar shape in order to emit and display a first symbol F1 composed of eight alphabet letters “NIPPACHI” in the longitudinal direction on the front side (see FIGS. 7 and 11B). The surface light emitting part 11 is shaped. That is, the first symbol shape is formed on the surface light emitting portion 11 of the light guide plate 10. Further, the extended portions 12 and 12 extend from the upper and lower peripheral edges of the surface light emitting portion 11 to the rear side, respectively, and the surface light emitting portion 11 and the extended portions 12 and 12 are integrally formed of polycarbonate (polycarbonate; PC) resin.

Specifically, a bulging portion 11a of “NIPPACHI” bulging forward from the surface light emitting portion 11 forms a first symbol shape. On the other hand, the case body 2 that holds the surface light emitting portion 11 of the light guide plate 10 from the front side has a window hole 2a formed by hollowing out eight alphabet letters “NIPPACHI”. And since the bulging part 11a of the surface light emission part 11 is inserted in the window hole 2a, this window hole 2a also forms the 1st symbol shape.

The reflector 20 is disposed on the rear side of the surface light emitting unit 11 of the light guide plate 10. On the reflector 20, a second symbol F 2 composed of a triangle symbol “Δ” in a form different from the first symbol F 1 (“NIPPACHI”) is displayed in a light emitting manner within the light emitting region of the surface light emitting unit 11 (FIG. 7, FIG. 7). 11 (c)), a large number (for example, 48) of hole light emitting portions 21 distributed in a dotted pattern are provided. Each hole light-emitting portion 21 is composed of a through-hole 22 formed so as to penetrate the second symbol shape “Δ”, so that light irradiated to the through-hole 32 from a reflector LED 32, which will be described later, is reflected and emitted from the inner surface. In addition, a reflective layer (not shown) is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the through-hole 32 by painting, printing, plating, vacuum deposition or the like. That is, the second symbol shape is formed in the hole light emitting portion 21 (through hole 22) of the reflector 20. Thus, since the reflector 20 is provided with a large number of hole light emitting portions 21 that emit light in the form of scattered dots, it can be easily developed into an effect display pattern and the like, and an interesting light emission display mode is possible.

発光基板30には、複数(16個)の導光板LED31(第一発光素子;例えばRGBフルカラーLED)と複数(48個)のリフレクタLED32(第二発光素子;例えば単色LED)とが、それぞれ前面側に実装されている。 The light emitting substrate 30 includes a plurality (16 pieces) of light guide plate LEDs 31 (first light emitting elements; for example, RGB full color LEDs) and a plurality (48 pieces) of reflector LEDs 32 (second light emitting elements; for example, single color LEDs), respectively. Implemented on the side. As shown in FIG. 7, the light guide plate LED 31 passes through the extension portions 12 and 12 of the light guide plate 10 and causes the surface light emitting portion 11 to emit light in a planar shape, so that the upper and lower extension portions 12 with respect to one character “NIPPACHI”. , 12 are arranged one by one (2 per character, 16 in total). On the other hand, the reflector LED 32 corresponds to the rear side of each through hole 22 in order to cause the hole light emitting portion 21 to emit light in the form of a dot when passing through the through hole 22 of the reflector 20 (a total of 48 characters of 8 characters). Has been placed.

As shown in FIG. 8, the lens 40 has the light guide plate 10 in such a form that its outer peripheral surface is in direct contact with the inner peripheral surfaces of the extensions 12 and 12 and its front surface is in direct contact with the rear surface of the surface light emitting unit 11. And the reflector 20 are integrally formed of polycarbonate (polycarbonate; PC) resin. As a result, part of the light from the light guide plate LED 31 is introduced (leaked out) from the extensions 12 and 12 of the light guide plate 10 to the lens 40 and led out (returns) from the lens 40 to the surface light emitting portion 11 of the light guide plate 10. The light of the light guide plate LED 31 is reflected by the contact surface (boundary surface) between the surface light emitting unit 11 and the lens 40 when propagating through the surface light emitting unit 11 and returns to the surface light emitting unit 11. Thus, by providing the lens 40 between the light guide plate 10 and the reflector 20, a sufficient amount of light can be provided to the entire surface light emitting portion 11 of the light guide plate 10, and the center of the surface light emitting portion 11 (light emitting region). Insufficient light quantity at the part is less likely to occur.

The lens 40 is located on the front side of the reflector 20 and has a function of allowing the light of the reflector LED 32 that emits light from the hole light emitting portion 21 of the reflector 20 to pass toward the surface light emitting portion 11.

The diffusion sheet 50 is interposed between the lens 40 and the reflector 20, and has a function of diffusing the light of the reflector LED 32 that emits light from the hole light emitting portion 21 of the reflector 20 and passing the lens 40.

Thus, since the lens 40 and the diffusion sheet 50 cover the hole light-emitting portion 21 of the reflector 20 and the reflector LED 32 disposed correspondingly behind the hole light-emitting portion 21, the reflector LED 32 is turned off regardless of whether the light guide plate LED 31 is turned on or off. It is possible to prevent the hole light emitting portion 21 from being seen through (see FIGS. 11A and 11B).

Furthermore, the lens 40 is formed in a convex lens shape in which the thickness of the central portion is larger than that of the outer peripheral edge portion. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 8, for example, it includes the second letter “I” from the left of “NIPPACHI” in the surface light emitting portion 11 (bulging portion 11 a) and a pair of upper and lower light guide plates LEDs 31 and 31. When viewed in the AA cross section (see FIG. 5), the central portion of the lens 40 has a convex lens shape that is thicker than the outer peripheral edge portion. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 10, the thickness of the lens 40 is constant, for example, when viewed in the longitudinal CC section (see FIG. 5) in the surface light emitting portion 11 (the bulging portion 11 a). As a result, the light emitted from the lens 40 to the surface light-emitting unit 11 and the light emitted from the lens 40 to the surface light-emitting unit 11 or reflected by the contact surface (boundary surface) between the lens 40 and the surface light-emitting unit 11 is reflected on the surface light-emitting unit 11. And the light of the reflector LED 32 that has emitted the hole light emitting portion 21 of the reflector 20 converge near the center of the surface light emitting portion 11 due to the convex lens effect of the lens 40 and the light diffusion effect of the diffusion sheet 50. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 8, the player can visually recognize the planar light-emitting display mode of the first symbol F1 and the scattered light-emitting display mode of the second symbol F2 clearly superimposed. .

As shown in FIG. 9, in the first symbol shape “NIPPACHI” of the surface light emitting portion 11 (light guide plate 10), a character body whose inner portion surrounded by a triangular shape forms a bulging portion 11 a in “A”. It is formed in a protruding portion 11b that protrudes higher (front side) than the portion. And the non-light-transmissive reflective film 11c is formed in the surface (front surface) of the protrusion part 11b. The reflective film 11c is formed by performing coating, printing, plating, vacuum deposition, or the like, or bonding a metal foil, a seal with non-translucent printing, or the like.

このようにして、膨出部11a(文字本体部分)と反射膜11c(突出部11bを覆う三角状部分)とのコントラストを明瞭にできる。 As described above, the light from the light guide plates LED 31 and 31 propagates through the surface light emitting unit 11 and is reflected by the contact surface (boundary surface) between the lens 40 and the surface light emitting unit 11 or from the lens 40 to the surface light emitting unit 11. After being derived, the first symbol F1 is emitted and displayed through the character main body portion (the bulging portion 11a) of the surface light emitting portion 11 (see FIG. 8). At that time, the reflection portion 11b of “A” is reflected to the lens 40 side (rear side) by the reflective film 11c, and further reflected again by the contact surface (boundary surface) between the lens 40 and the surface light emitting portion 11, It penetrates the bulging part 11a. Alternatively, the light reflected by the reflective film 11c is incident on the lens 40 from the surface light emitting unit 11 and re-reflected by the diffusion sheet 50, and then passes through the lens 40 and the surface light emitting unit 11 (the bulging portion 11a). The symbol F1 may be displayed with light emission. In this way, the contrast between the bulging portion 11a (character body portion) and the reflective film 11c (a triangular portion covering the protruding portion 11b) can be made clear. In addition, in the first symbol shape “NIPPACHI”, “P” (2 characters), the inner portion surrounded by a semi-elliptical shape also has the protruding portion 11b and the reflective film 11c similar to the triangular portion of “A”. Is formed (see FIG. 5).

Next, the operation of the display device 1 configured as described above will be described with reference to FIGS. 7, 8, and 11.

<1> Both the light guide plate LED 31 and the reflector LED 32 are turned off (FIG. 11A).
The player can see the first symbol shape “NIPPACHI” through the window hole 2a of the case body 2 and the bulging portion 11a (surface light emitting portion 11) of the light guide plate 10, but emits light as the first symbol F1. The display mode cannot be visually recognized. Further, since the lens 40 and the diffusion sheet 50 cover the hole light emitting portion 21 of the reflector 20 and the reflector LED 32 disposed correspondingly behind the hole light emitting portion 21, when the light guide plate LED 31 and the reflector LED 32 are turned off, the hole light emitting portion 21 ( The second pattern shape) cannot be seen through.

<2> Light guide plate LED 31 is in a lighted state and reflector LED 32 is in a light-off state (FIG. 11B)
Light from the light guide plate LED 31 is guided from the extended portions 12 and 12 of the light guide plate 10 to the surface light emitting portion 11 (the bulging portion 11a). A part of the light is introduced into the lens 40, passes through the lens 40, and is guided to the surface light emitting unit 11 (the bulging portion 11 a). Therefore, the player can visually recognize the planar light emitting display mode of the first symbol F1 “NIPPACHI” in the surface light emitting unit 11 (the bulging portion 11a). Even if the light guide plate LED 31 is turned on, the reflector LED 32 is turned off, so that the hole light emitting part 21 (second pattern shape) cannot be seen through.

<3> Light guide plate LED 31 and reflector LED 32 are both lit (FIG. 11C).
The light of the reflector LED 32 irradiates the hole light emitting portion 21 (the inner surface of the through hole 22) of the reflector 20 to emit the second symbol F2 “Δ”, and passes through the lens 40 and the surface light emitting portion 11 (the bulging portion 11a). To do. Therefore, the player can use the first symbol F1 “NIPPACHI” in the surface light emitting portion 11 (bulged portion 11a) and the second symbol F2 “Δ” in the hole light emitting portion 21. The scattered light-emitting display mode can be visually recognized in a multilayered form.

Thus, by interposing the lens 40 between the light guide plate 10 and the reflector 20, a sufficient amount of light is brought to the entire surface light emitting portion 11 (the bulging portion 11a) of the light guide plate 10, and the surface light emitting portion 11 ( Insufficient light quantity at the center of the light emitting area can be resolved. As a result, the first symbol F1 “NIPPACHI” can be clearly highlighted and displayed brightly, and the difference from the second symbol F2 “Δ” becomes clear.

In the embodiment, for ease of understanding, only a simplified typical case has been described, but improvements and modifications can be added as needed. For example, it is possible to diversify the effect display pattern by turning on only the reflector LED 32 or changing the lighting timing, lighting color, etc. for each light guide plate LED 31 or reflector LED 32. Further, by combining the change in the light emission position (the use of lighting / blinking properly) and the change in the light emission color with the change in the light emission position, the change in the light emission mode can be further varied. Further, as the reflector LED 32, an LED that emits full color can be used in addition to an LED that emits monochromatic light.
