作業者が台車に乗り込んで搬送物に対して作業を行う作業工程を含む搬送ラインに用いられる台車搬送装置であって、
前記搬送ラインを形成するレールに沿って移動可能な、搬送物を支持する非自走式の搬送物用台車と、
作業者が乗るためのパレットを備えた、前記搬送物用台車と別体の非自走式の作業者用台車と、
前記台車を駆動する台車駆動手段と、
前記作業工程の上流側で前記搬送物用台車及び作業者用台車を合体させる合体手段と、
前記作業工程の下流側で前記搬送物用台車及び作業者用台車を分離させる分離手段と、
該分離手段により分離された前記作業者用台車を前記作業工程の上流側へ返送する返送手段と、
を備えたことを特徴とする台車搬送装置。
