Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a test method for a line interface device that transmits data via a plurality of different line interfaces, and in particular, a line after executing processing including conversion of a data format processed inside the device into a data format on a transmission line. The present invention relates to a line interface device that communicates with another connection destination device via an interface and a test method.
例えば、SDH(Synchronous Digital Hierachy)IP(Internet Protocol)網があり、これらの網が相互接続される。また、伝送されるデータフォーマットとしてTCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol)、ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode)、STM(Synchronous Transfer Mode)、HDLC(High−level Data Link Control procedure)等の各々異なるデータフォーマットで通信が行われる。 In general, a communication network forms a network by connecting a plurality of individual networks having different data formats. For example, there is an SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) IP (Internet Protocol) network, and these networks are interconnected. In addition, as a data format to be transmitted, TCP / IP (Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol), ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode), STM (Synchronous Transfer Data), HDLC (High-Leverd Data). Communication takes place. For example, when data is transmitted from an external device such as a CPU (Central Processing Unit) to a device transmitted in these data formats, the data format in which the data format of the external device is matched with the data format of the connection destination device by the line interface device Data processing including conversion processing is performed and data is transmitted to the connection destination device.
FIG. 10 is a diagram showing a conventional line interface apparatus of the present invention.
The
However, the physical medium of the
FIG. 11 is a diagram showing a composite configuration of a conventional line interface apparatus. A line interface device having a plurality of dedicated interfaces according to the data format is shown.
Data input via the
On the other hand, it is necessary to confirm the normality of the line interface device. Generally, the test data input by the test circuit is turned back in the device, and the normality test is performed by verifying the turned-back data. For example, in an ATM communication device, an operating / non-operating identifier is provided in a part of a cell, a test non-operating identifier is inserted into an empty cell position of the cell, and the VPI value / VCI value of the non-operating cell is set. There is a method of changing non-operating cells by changing the test path and detecting the identifier just before output and turning it back. (Patent Document 1). Also, periodically check whether the ISDN external line for two channels of call is available, and if one of the channels is not used for calling, switch to loopback mode and perform a loopback test periodically There is. (Patent Document 2) These conventional test methods are summarized as follows.
FIG. 12 is a diagram showing a test method for a conventional line interface apparatus. 1) Return by line disconnection 2) Return by identifier determination.
1) Return by line disconnection Connection to the outside of the line IF section is interrupted and the connection is returned at the line port. In this case, testing during operation is not possible.
2) The data added with the identifier for the loopback test by identifier determination is communicated and looped back at the line port by identifier determination. In this case, it is necessary to add a circuit for judging the identifier and selectively folding and distributing the data, and there is a problem that all the bands cannot be used.
In addition to the above, in the case of a duplexer, the standby system is not operated and folded. In this case, it is impossible to check the normality of the working circuit in operation.
The problem to be solved is to perform data processing including conversion of data from a higher-level device such as a CPU into a data format of a plurality of different connection destination transmission paths, via a line interface corresponding to the data format of a predetermined transmission path. This is a problem that the line interface device test for communicating with the connection destination device cannot be executed during operation.
It is an object of the present invention to realize a test during operation of a line interface apparatus with a small number of additional test circuits.
A test circuit for self-testing is provided in the line interface device, and test data is sent to the path for processing the signals of the selected data format type and unselected line number for the selected line number and data type in operation of the line interface device. Communicating, detecting a non-selected line number in the line interface unit, looping back test data, and testing the normality of the line interface apparatus in operation by verifying the test data after looping back.
According to the present invention, it is possible to verify the normality of a heterogeneous multi-line interface device other than the re-selected interface being used during operation with a small number of additional test circuits without using identifiers such as flags and specific IDs. . In addition, since the test is selected by using only the format selection information used for the original operation and the test is performed, the line interface device can autonomously perform the test without requiring control from the upper software / higher device or the like.

Each data processing unit has a capability of processing even if all line interfaces select the same data format. Therefore, for example, when one data format (eg, A data format) is selected for one line (eg, line number m), the other format data processing unit (eg, B format data processing unit) Since at least the processing corresponding to the line number m is unnecessary, there is a margin of processing capacity for one line. It is possible to test the path by utilizing this processing capability.
Line demultiplexing unit 15
Information (data, line number) is received from each corresponding format data processing unit 14, separated for each line number, and information (data) is transmitted to the route selection unit 16 corresponding to the corresponding line number. Also, information (data, line number) obtained by multiplexing information (data) for each data format type is transmitted from each path selection unit 16 to each format demultiplexing unit 14.
Route selection unit 16
Information (data) is separated from the line demultiplexing unit 15 into operation data and test data based on the format selection information (FIG. 6), the test data is returned, and the operation data is transmitted to the line IF unit 17 of the line number determined by the line number. To do. Information (operation data) from each line IF unit 17 is transmitted to the line demultiplexing unit 15. The test data path folding method will be described later (FIG. 9).
Line IF unit 17
Data from the route selection unit 16 is transmitted to each line. In addition, the data from each line is transmitted to the route selection unit 16 of the corresponding line number.

There are two types of data: operational data or test data. These signal formats are processed in a time-division manner in the form of a plurality of multiplexed frame signals in each part in the line interface device, but will be described below as a single signal, and the multiplexing signal format is shown in FIG. This will be described with reference to FIG.

This format is handled by the format data processing unit 14 and the line demultiplexing unit 15. The line demultiplexing unit 15 removes the line number from the format 2 format and transmits it to the corresponding route selection unit 16 for each line number, and interfaces with the route selection unit 16 in the format 3. Further, it interfaces with the format data processing unit 14 in the format 2 to which the line number is added.
Format 3
It is a format handled by the route selection unit 16 and the line IF unit 17, and is a format of communication to each connection destination device.

T1−ATM、T1−STM

The signal format of each part of the line interface device is shown by taking T1-ATM and T1-STM data format types as an example. Since these signals have different data lengths depending on the data format type, for example, variable length and discrete data streams can be considered.
1) Signal format between external device and line interface device T1-ATM and T1-STM signals are multiplexed in a signal format between
DA: Line interface device identification address. Identify multiple line interface devices.
Fm: Indicates the format type of data.
L #: Indicates a line number.
CELL: Indicates cell data in ATM format. (Example: 53 oct length)
Ctrl: Indicates control information for STM format data. (Example: Ch0 to ch23 valid / invalid, time slot replacement information)
ch0 to ch23: Data of each time slot (TS) in the STM format. (1 oct each)
2) Signal format between the bus IF unit and the format demultiplexing unit The corresponding line interface device is selected from the signal format 1), and the signal format has no DA signal.
3) Signal format in the format demultiplexing unit to the line demultiplexing unit The multiplexed signal format is separated for each format type by the format demultiplexing unit (therefore, there is no information on the format type Fm). For each format type (here, T1-ATM data format, T1-STM data format type), the corresponding format data processing unit and line demultiplexing unit process the data.

In the case of the T1-STM signal format, the format data processing unit exchanges ch [i] and time slot TS [j] with Ctrl information and / or separately prepared conversion information, for example, ch [0]. Is replaced with TS [1] (the same applies in the following).
4) Signal format in the line demultiplexing unit to the line IF unit The signal format is separated by the line demultiplexing unit for each line (thus, there is no information on the line number Lm).
5) Signal format on line T1-ATM: As shown in the figure, 3 frames of 1 CELL = 53 oct × 8 bits = 424 bits are used for 1 frame 193 frame of T1, and 2 frames and 40 bits are used in the line IF section. Processed signal format. The figure shows an example in which a part of 5CELL + 6CELL is superimposed.
In the case of T1-STM: As shown in the figure, 192 bits of STM signal are transmitted with 1 bit of frame and 192 bits of data. The figure shows a multiplexed signal format of a plurality of STM signals.
FIG. 6 is a diagram showing an example of format selection information. An example of information generated by the format selection
It consists of a line number and a data format type, and the data format selected for each line number is expressed in binary and output.
For example, for the line number m, the data format type A is selected, and “0001” is output with the least significant bit representing the A data format type being “1”. The same data format type B is selected for the line number n and the line number y. In this case, “0010” in which the second bit indicating the B data format type is “1” is output to the line number n and the line number y.
In the above example, the test path is set to (line number n, A format) for the selection information of (line number m, A format) and (line number n, B format). In this case, the same type of A data format and the same line number n are duplicated but can be processed for the following reason.
A data format The A format data processing unit processes data in operation, but can also process test data by time sharing using a DSP or the like.
Line number n
Since the test data is looped back by the route selection unit of the line number n, there is no influence on the test data in operation (line number n, B format).
Thereby, it is possible to test a route to the bus IF
FIG. 7 is a diagram showing an example of test data communication of the line interface device.

The line

When the received data of the format demultiplexing unit 14 is the A data format type and the line number m, the AND circuit outputs of a) and b) are true, and c) is also true. Operation data is transmitted to the
2) For test data:
On the other hand, when the A data format type and the line number are n, the AND circuit outputs of a) and b) are false, and c) is also false, whereby f) becomes conductive and test data is transmitted to the
FIG. 9 is a diagram illustrating an example of a path selection unit path folding circuit.
The format selection path (operation data) transmission path and reception path (signal format: eg, 4 in FIG. 4) information is a) from the format selection signal “1”. The transmission signal is sent to the line IF unit 17 and the reception signal is sent to the line demultiplexing unit 15. On the other hand, the format non-selection path (test data) is turned on by the format selection signal, and the data is returned to the reception path when the gate is turned on. Not sent.
