Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an assembled battery in which a plurality of prismatic battery cells are stacked, a vehicle including the same, and a bind bar for the assembled battery, and more particularly to an electric vehicle mounted on an electric vehicle such as a hybrid car or an electric vehicle. The present invention relates to an improvement of a bind bar for fastening a square battery cell constituting an assembled battery for supplying a battery.
An assembled battery for a vehicle has a large number of battery cells connected in series to increase output voltage and output power. Further, in order to increase the charging capacity with respect to the volume, an assembled battery in which a large number of rectangular battery cells are arranged in a stacked state has been developed. The appearance of the assembled battery is shown in FIG. In this assembled battery, the square battery cells are fixed with a bind bar in order to fasten the battery cells in a stacked state. The bind bar is formed in a bar shape extending in the stacking direction at the side surface so that the end plates arranged on both end faces of the stacked prismatic battery cell are screwed together, and fixed to the end plate at the end Screw holes are provided.
In general, since a vehicle is sometimes used in an environment where the ambient temperature is high or low, the amount of deformation of the metal member due to thermal expansion, thermal contraction, or the like increases. In addition, when the battery pack is charged and discharged with a large current, the temperature of the prismatic battery cell rises, and the outer can of the prismatic battery cell may expand. Furthermore, the dimensional tolerance of each part constituting the rectangular battery cell such as an outer can must be taken into consideration. In addition, since the vehicle is exposed to vibration and shock, resistance to such mechanical shock and vibration is also required. Under such severe conditions, the end plate is required to be strong enough to maintain the restraint of the prismatic battery cell.
For this reason, the end plate performs tolerance calculation so that it can cope with the dimensional change of each member, and even if the tolerance becomes the largest, high strength steel (high Conventional measures have been taken, such as using tensile steel (so-called high-tensile material) or making the mounting hole a long hole. However, the use of high-tensile materials that are expensive and have poor workability increases the cost, and the size and weight increase when the tolerance dimension is increased.
In order to cope with such expansion of the rectangular battery cell, a
However, in this structure, since the
The present invention has been made in view of such problems, and its main object is to provide an assembled battery that can cope with dimensional error and expansion / contraction of a rectangular battery cell while maintaining a low cost and a small size. An object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle and a bind bar for an assembled battery.
In order to solve the above problems, according to the first assembled battery of the present invention, a battery stack formed by stacking a plurality of rectangular battery cells, an end plate disposed on an end surface of the battery stack, A battery pack including a bind bar that extends in the stacking direction of the battery stack and is fixed to the end plate so as to fasten a side surface of the stacked battery stack. An expansion / contraction structure that expands and contracts by partially deforming in the cell stacking direction can be provided. Thereby, a dimensional change can be absorbed with an expansion-contraction structure, and appropriate fastening can be maintained according to the thermal expansion and deformation | transformation of the member which comprises an assembled battery.
Further, according to the second assembled battery, the expandable structure can be configured by a bent portion that is bent in a direction intersecting the extension direction in a part of the extension direction of the bind bar. As a result, the stretchable structure can be configured with a bent portion provided in a part of the bind bar, so the stretchable structure is realized by deforming the bind bar itself, and there is no need to prepare a separate member, so it is extremely inexpensive and simple. Can be realized.
Further, according to the third assembled battery, the bent portion is bent in a U-shape, and the U-shaped bent portion can have elasticity. As a result, the bent part is configured in a spring shape, and the battery stack can be elastically deformed even when the dimension changes in the extension direction of the bind bar, and can be adapted to the change in length while maintaining the restrained state. Is obtained.
Furthermore, according to the 4th assembled battery, the part bent in U shape among the said bending parts, and the position which fixes the said bind bar to the said end plate can be spaced apart. Thereby, it is possible to ensure a sufficient amount of elastic deformation without providing a screw hole in the bent portion.
Furthermore, according to the fifth assembled battery, the bent portion can be provided on the end side of the bind bar. Thereby, a bending part can be provided in the end plate vicinity and the advantage which can move an end plate smoothly is acquired.
Furthermore, according to the sixth assembled battery, an end portion of the bind bar is bent into an L shape and has a bent piece, and the end plate and the screw are attached to the L shaped bent piece. A bar screw hole for opening is opened, and the bent portion can be formed by being bent into a U shape from the same plane as the L-shaped bent piece. Accordingly, the bent portion can be formed by deforming the L-shaped bent piece for providing the screw hole for screwing the bind bar to the end plate, and it is possible to provide the expansion / contraction structure inexpensively and simply.
Furthermore, according to the seventh assembled battery, the bent portion is provided in an intermediate portion of the bind bar and can be arranged in a posture protruding from the side surface. As a result, the bent part is positioned on the side surface side of the battery stack, absorbing the change in component dimensions, and protruding from the side surface of the battery stack, so that it can also be used as a reinforcing structure against impact from the side surface. Benefits.
Furthermore, according to the eighth assembled battery, the telescopic structure can be constituted by a damper portion interposed as an attitude capable of elastic deformation in the stacking direction of the rectangular battery cells between the bind bar and the end plate. Thereby, a damper part can absorb a change in part dimensions because it elastically deforms.
Furthermore, a vehicle including the ninth assembled battery includes the above-described assembled battery.
Furthermore, according to the bind bar for the tenth assembled battery, in order to fasten the end plates arranged on both end faces of the battery stack in which a plurality of rectangular battery cells are stacked, the battery stack extends in the stacking direction. A bind bar for an assembled battery fixed to the end plate so as to fasten side surfaces of the laminated battery stack, and the bind bar as an elastic structure that expands and contracts in the stacking direction of the rectangular battery cells. In a part of the extending direction, a bent portion that is bent in a U shape so as to have elasticity may be provided in a direction intersecting the extending direction. Thereby, a dimensional change can be absorbed with an expansion-contraction structure, and appropriate fastening can be maintained according to the thermal expansion and deformation | transformation of the member which comprises an assembled battery. In particular, since the stretchable structure can be configured with the bent part provided on a part of the bind bar, the stretchable structure is realized by deforming the bind bar itself, and it is not necessary to prepare another member, and it is realized at a very cheap and simple structure it can. In addition, the bent part is configured in a spring shape, so that the battery stack can be elastically deformed even if the dimensions change in the extending direction of the bind bar, and there is an advantage that it can cope with the change in length while maintaining the restrained state. It is done.

Hereinafter, an example in which the assembled battery is applied to an in-vehicle power supply device as Example 1 will be described with reference to FIGS. In these drawings, FIG. 1 is an external perspective view of a power supply device, FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing a connection state of a gas duct and a battery block with an outer case removed from FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 is a cooling gas for cooling the battery block FIG. 4 is an external perspective view of the assembled battery, and FIG. 5 is an exploded perspective view showing a state in which the battery cell and the separator of FIG. 4 are disassembled.
(Power supply device 100)
As shown in the perspective view of FIG. 1, the external appearance of the
The

The

(Separator 6)
The

In addition, a separator can also connect a battery cell by the fitting structure on both surfaces. By interposing the separator connected to the battery cell with the fitting structure, it is possible to prevent the positional deviation between the adjacent battery cells and stack them.

In addition, both end surfaces of the battery stack in which the
In this way, the side surfaces are fastened by the bind bars 8 so that the laminated body of the
On the other hand, both end portions of the
(Bind bar 8)
As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the
On the other hand, on the
(Elastic structure)
Each
Further, the
Further, it is preferable that the portion bent in the U-shape in the
The
Note that the screwing position between the
Further, the position of the bent portion is not necessarily near the end of the bind bar. For example, in the modified example of FIG. 8, one
(Modification of the bent part)
Furthermore, the shape of the bent portion is not limited to a U-shaped cross section, and various shapes can be used as appropriate. FIG. 9 shows a modified example of the bent portion. 9A shows a
(Example 2)
Further, the stretchable structure can be realized not only by such a configuration that the bind bar itself deforms but also by another member. Such an example is shown in FIG. The assembled battery shown in this figure uses a
In this way, the bind bar itself has a structure that absorbs the tolerance and dimensional change of each part, so that the tolerance can be set small and the load applied to the binding bar mounting part when each part increases in dimensions. Can be reduced. For this reason, it is not necessary to use a strong member such as high-strength steel for the bind bar, and production is possible at a low cost. Further, the shape of the elastic structure is used to support external impacts, and the impact reinforcement structure can be omitted or simplified, so that a further cost reduction effect can be expected.
