Abstract
Description
前記シール化セル構造は、第1および第2の基板と、複数の隔壁とを有し、
当該方法は、
−前記第1の基板、
−前記第2の基板、および
−前記複数の隔壁、
の少なくとも一つの上に、光エンボス化材料を形成するステップと、
前記複数の隔壁により、前記第1および第2の基板を離間するステップであって、これにより、前記第1および第2の基板の間に、複数のセルが定形されるステップと、
前記光エンボス化材料に、潜在画像を書き込むステップと、
前記潜在画像を現像するステップであって、これにより前記光エンボス化材料が移動し、前記セルが相互に離れた状態でシールされるステップと、
を有する方法が提供される。
前記複数の隔壁は、前記第1および第2の基板の間に、複数のセルを定形し、
−前記第1の基板、
−前記第2の基板、および
−前記複数の隔壁
の少なくとも一つの上に、光エンボス化材料が存在し、
該光エンボス化材料は、潜在画像を書き込み、現像することにより移動し、これにより、前記セルが相互に離れた状態でシールされることを特徴とするシール化セル構造が提供される。
−分子診断用に使用されるバイオセンサ;血液や唾液のような、複雑な生物学的混合物中のプロテインおよび核酸の迅速感度検出;
−細胞溶解またはプロテイン操作のための局部的なpH変化を形成する電解質;
−化学、薬学または分子生物学用の高処理量スクリーニング措置;
−(病院内)オンサイト評価用、集中ラボもしくは科学的研究における診断用の、例えば犯罪学における、例えばDNAまたはプロテインの評価装置;
−心臓病、感染症、および癌研究のDNAまたはプロテイン診断用のツール、ならびに食物および環境診断用のツール;
; コンビナトリアル(組み合わせ)化学用のツール;または
−解析装置。
Claims (21)
- シール化セル構造を形成する方法であって、
前記シール化セル構造は、第1および第2の基板と、複数の隔壁とを有し、
当該方法は、
−前記第1の基板、
−前記第2の基板、および
−前記複数の隔壁、
の少なくとも一つの上に、光エンボス化材料を形成するステップと、
前記複数の隔壁により、前記第1および第2の基板を離間するステップであって、これにより、前記第1および第2の基板の間に、複数のセルが定形されるステップと、
前記光エンボス化材料に、潜在画像を書き込むステップと、
前記潜在画像を現像するステップであって、これにより前記光エンボス化材料が移動し、前記セルが相互に離れた状態でシールされるステップと、
を有する方法。 - さらに、前記セルが相互に離れた状態でシールされるステップの前に、前記セルに流体を充填するステップを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記流体は、電気泳動流体であり、
前記セルは、電気泳動式ディスプレイを形成することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記潜在画像を書き込むステップは、前記光エンボス化材料の領域を、照射光に露光するステップを有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- 前記潜在画像を現像するステップは、前記光エンボス化材料を加熱するステップを有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- 前記光エンボス化材料は、高分子、モノマー、および光開始剤を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- 前記潜在画像を書き込むステップは、前記光エンボス化材料の領域を、照射光に露光するステップを有し、
前記潜在画像を現像するステップは、前記光エンボス化材料を加熱するステップを有し、
前記露光された領域に前記モノマーが移動し、これにより前記露光された領域が膨脹し、前記セルが相互に離れた状態でシールされることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法。 - 前記光エンボス化材料は、さらに、熱開始剤を有し、
前記光エンボス化材料を現像するステップは、前記熱開始剤の分解温度を超える温度に、前記光エンボス化材料を加熱するステップを有し、これにより、前記モノマーが重合化されることを特徴とする請求項6または7に記載の方法。 - 前記潜在画像を書き込むステップは、前記隔壁により、前記第1および第2の基板を相互に離間するステップの後に実施されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至8のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- 前記潜在画像は、前記光エンボス化材料の領域に、照射光を露光することにより書き込まれ、
前記セルには、前記照射光を吸収する粒子を有する流体が充填され、
前記吸収粒子は、前記光エンボス化材料に書き込まれる前記潜在画像のパターンの少なくとも一部を定形する、マスクとして機能することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。 - 前記複数の隔壁により、前記第1および第2の基板を離間するステップは、
前記第1の基板上に、前記隔壁を形成するステップと、
前記隔壁上に、前記第2の基板を設置するステップと、
を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至10のいずれか一つに記載の方法。 - 前記光エンボス化材料は、前記第1および第2の基板の少なくとも一つの上に、層として形成され、
前記潜在画像を書き込むステップおよび前記現像するステップによって、前記光エンボス化材料が、前記隔壁と接触するように移動し、これにより、前記セルが相互に離れた状態でシールされることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11のいずれか一つに記載の方法。 - 前記光エンボス化材料は、
−前記第1および第2の基板の少なくとも一つの上、ならびに
−前記隔壁と前記第1および第2の基板の少なくとも一つの間の界面の領域内、
に形成され、
前記潜在画像を書き込むステップおよび前記現像するステップによって、前記光エンボス化材料が、前記隔壁と接触するように移動し、これにより、前記セルが相互に離れた状態でシールされることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11のいずれか一つに記載の方法。 - 前記光エンボス化材料は、
−前記隔壁の上、ならびに
−前記隔壁と前記第1および第2の基板の少なくとも一つの間の界面の領域内、
に形成され、
前記潜在画像を書き込むステップおよび前記現像するステップによって、前記光エンボス化材料が、前記第1および第2の基板の少なくとも一つと接触するように移動し、これにより、前記セルが相互に離れた状態でシールされることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11のいずれか一つに記載の方法。 - 前記複数の隔壁により、前記第1および第2の基板を離間するステップは、
前記第1の基板上に、前記隔壁を形成するステップと、
前記隔壁上に、前記第2の基板を設置するステップと、
を有し、
前記隔壁上に、前記第2の基板を設置するステップの前に、前記光エンボス化材料が、
−前記第2の基板上、および
−前記隔壁と前記第2の基板の間の前記界面を形成する前記隔壁の領域内の、前記隔壁上、
に形成され、
前記潜在画像を書き込むステップおよび前記現像するステップによって、
−前記第2の基板上の前記光エンボス化材料が、前記隔壁の方に移動し、
−前記隔壁上の前記光エンボス化材料が、前記第2の基板の方に移動し、
前記第2の基板上の前記光エンボス化材料が、前記隔壁上の前記光エンボス化材料と接触し、これにより、前記セルが相互に離れた状態でシールされることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11のいずれか一つに記載の方法。 - 前記複数の隔壁により、前記第1および第2の基板を離間するステップは、
前記第1の基板上に、前記隔壁を形成するステップと、
前記隔壁上に、前記第2の基板を設置するステップと、
を有し、
前記前記光エンボス化材料は、前記隔壁上に、前記第2の基板を設置するステップの前に、前記第2の基板上に形成され、
前記潜在画像を書き込むステップおよび前記現像するステップによって、前記第2の基板上の前記光エンボス化材料が、前記複数の隔壁の方に膨脹し、前記複数の隔壁と接触するように移動し、これにより、前記セルが相互に離れた状態でシールされることを特徴とする請求項12または13に記載の方法。 - 前記複数の隔壁により、前記第1および第2の基板を離間するステップは、
前記第1の基板上に、前記隔壁を形成するステップと、
前記隔壁上に、前記第2の基板を設置するステップと、
を有し、
前記前記光エンボス化材料は、前記第1の基板上に、前記隔壁を形成するステップの前に、前記第1の基板上に形成され、
前記潜在画像を書き込むステップおよび前記現像するステップによって、前記第1の基板上の前記光エンボス化材料が、前記複数の隔壁に対して押し付けられるように移動し、これにより、前記複数の隔壁は、前記第2の基板と接するように移動し、これにより、前記セルが相互に離れた状態でシールされることを特徴とする請求項12または13に記載の方法。 - 前記複数の隔壁により、前記第1および第2の基板を離間するステップは、
前記第1の基板上に、前記隔壁を形成するステップと、
前記隔壁上に、前記第2の基板を設置するステップと、
を有し、
前記光エンボス化材料は、
−前記隔壁上に、前記第2の基板を設置するステップの前に、前記複数の隔壁の上、および
−前記隔壁と前記第2の基板の間の界面を形成する前記隔壁の領域内、
に形成され、
前記潜在画像を書き込むステップおよび前記現像するステップによって、前記隔壁上の前記光エンボス化材料が、前記第2の基板の方に膨脹して、前記第2の基板と接触するように移動し、これにより前記セルが相互に離れた状態でシールされることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。 - 前記シール化セル構造のセルは、電気泳動式ディスプレイの画素を形成することを特徴とする請求項1乃至18のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- 前記光エンボス化材料は、
前記潜在画像が書き込まれ、現像される内部材料と、
前記内側材料の表面の外側保護層であって、前記潜在画像の現像の間、前記内側材料に対応して変形することが可能な外側保護層と、
を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至19のいずれか一つに記載の方法。 - 複数の隔壁により離間された、第1および第2の基板を有するシール化セル構造であって、
前記複数の隔壁は、前記第1および第2の基板の間に、複数のセルを定形し、
−前記第1の基板、
−前記第2の基板、および
−前記複数の隔壁
の少なくとも一つの上に、光エンボス化材料が存在し、
該光エンボス化材料は、潜在画像を書き込み、現像することにより移動し、これにより、前記セルが相互に離れた状態でシールされることを特徴とするシール化セル構造。
