本発明は、ZIF(Zero Insertion Force)コネクタに関する。 The present invention relates to a ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) connector.

Burn-in screening is performed in order to determine whether or not a plurality of circuits and circuit patterns formed vertically and horizontally on a semiconductor device such as a silicon wafer are acceptable. In such burn-in screening, for example, an inspection apparatus including a probe card as shown in
The probe card is connected to a test head in the inspection apparatus. For example, the probe card is directly connected to a disk-shaped flexible board having a plurality of bump groups electrically connected to each circuit pattern of a silicon wafer as an object to be inspected, and to the bump groups of the flexible board. An anisotropic conductive sheet having a conductive portion and a wiring substrate having a conductor layer electrically connected to the bump group of the flexible substrate through the conductive portion of the anisotropic conductive sheet are configured.
In some cases, the wiring board of such a probe card is electrically connected to a test head via a ZIF connector as disclosed in Patent Document 2, for example.
The ZIF connector includes, for example, an electrical terminal provided on the connection component and a connector portion provided on the connector base. The connector part is a pair of contact pins that come into contact with the electrical terminals of the connecting parts that are selectively pressed and inserted into the connector part, and a rotation that causes the contact parts of the pair of contact pins to approach or separate from the electrical terminals. A cam and a handle for rotating the rotary cam are included.
In such a configuration, when the electrical terminals provided in the connection component are electrically connected to the pair of contact pins of the connector portion, first, when the contact portions of the pair of contact pins are separated from the electrical terminals. After the electrical terminals of the connecting parts are inserted between the contact portions of the pair of contact pins, the rotation cam is rotated in conjunction with the rotation of the handle, thereby contacting the pair of contact pins. The parts are pressed and come into contact with each other with respect to the electrical terminals. Thereby, the electrical terminal provided in the connection component and the pair of contact pins of the connector portion are electrically connected.
The number of bump groups provided in the probe card as described above tends to increase. In addition, the number of electrical terminals and contact pins provided on the connecting parts in the ZIF connector as described above increases as the number of bump groups increases, so that it is necessary to reliably operate the pair of contact pins. From the viewpoint of torsional rigidity of the rotating cam, it is necessary to make the diameter of the rotating cam larger. Therefore, in the mechanism as described above, there is a limit to increasing the diameter of the rotating cam due to the demand for miniaturization of the ZIF connector. For example, there is a probe card having a total of more than 15,000 contact pins. Therefore, it may be difficult to apply such a mechanism.
In view of the above problems, the present invention is a ZIF connector, which can reliably connect the probe card and the test head, and without depending on the number of bump groups of the probe card. An object of the present invention is to provide a ZIF connector that can be miniaturized.
In order to achieve the above-described object, the ZIF connector according to the present invention is in contact with and electrically connected to the first contact part electrically connected to the electrode part of the cable member and the electrode part on the wiring board. A contact terminal support that accommodates a plurality of contact terminals each having a second contact portion,
A slider member having a hook portion connected to a contact terminal support and engaged or disengaged with a lock pin of a lock portion provided adjacent to the electrode portion on the wiring board is provided on the wiring board. A housing member movably provided along a surface on which is formed;
Slider member drive means for engaging or disengaging the hook portion of the slider member with the lock pin of the lock portion, and the slider member drive means connects the hook portion of the slider member to the lock pin of the lock portion. In the engaged state, the second contact portion of the contact terminal accommodated in the contact terminal support is brought into contact with the electrode portion on the wiring board with a predetermined pressure.
According to the ZIF connector of the present invention, the slider member driving means engages the hook portion of the slider member with the lock pin of the lock portion, so that the second of the contact terminals accommodated in the contact terminal support body is obtained. Since the contact part is brought into contact with the electrode part on the wiring board with a predetermined pressure, the probe card and the test head can be reliably electrically connected, and without being influenced by the number of bump groups of the probe card, The size can be reduced.
FIG. 5 is an enlarged view of a part of a connector unit provided with a plurality of first embodiments of the ZIF connector according to the present invention at predetermined intervals along the circumferential direction.

As shown in an enlarged view in FIG. 2, the ZIF connector is a connector main body 10Ai (i = i = 10) having a plurality of types of contact terminals to which one ends of flexible wiring boards (FPC) CA1 and CA2 as cable members are connected. 1 to n and n are positive integers) and a

The flexible wiring boards (FPC) CA1 and CA2 connected to the connector main body 10Ai are each called, for example, YFLEX (registered trademark), and a plurality of conductive layers covered with a protective layer are formed on an insulating substrate. The configuration is made. The insulating base material is, for example, one material appropriately selected from the group consisting of liquid crystal polymer (LCP), polyimide (PI), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), or polycarbonate (PC) having a thickness of about 50 μm. Molded. The conductive layer is formed of a copper alloy layer having a thickness of about 12 μm, for example. The protective layer is formed of, for example, a thermosetting resist layer or a polyimide film. On one surface of one end of each of the flexible wiring boards CA1 and CA2, for example, an electrode pad group (not shown) formed as a terminal portion corresponding to the arrangement of contact terminals described later is formed. The electrode pad group is electrically connected to the conductive layers inside the flexible wiring boards CA1 and CA2.
The connector body 10Ai is a contact terminal that supports contact terminals 32ai, 32′ai, 34ai, 34′ai (i = 1 to n, n is a positive integer) described later, as shown in an exploded view in FIG. The

Accordingly, when the connector main body 10Ai is fixed to the lock /
Thus, the

As shown in FIG. 6, the
As shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 6, a partition wall that partitions the contact terminal accommodating portion on the inner side along the longitudinal direction is formed in the center portion on the inner side of the
Contact terminals 32ai, 32'ai, 34ai, 34'ai (i = 1 to n, where n is a positive integer) are provided in the two contact terminal accommodating portions partitioned by the partition wall.
As shown in FIG. 6, the contact terminals 32ai and 34ai made by pressing a thin metal material have the same structure except for the shape of the lower contact portion that abuts the
As shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 10 (A), the

As shown in FIG. 10A, the
