Abstract
Description
The present invention has a size and shape that does not affect the sound wave surface due to reflection from the pinna and the side of the face, and an ultra-small speaker is attached to the inner side of the heel (the ear canal entrance side) for each of one or more lattice points. Covering the listener's pinna or concha cavity with a group of ultra-small loudspeaker speakers, the sound pressures of the incoming sound waves at multiple lattice points of the saddle dome emitted from the sound source in the original sound field space The same sound pressure wavefront as that of the original sound field space is reproduced in the 籠 dome by making it the same as the sound pressure radiated from multiple speakers of the 籠 ultra-small speaker group. Can be perceived inside the 籠 dome in the reproduction sound field space, and the head and pinna are separated by the 籠 dome, so that the characteristics of individual differences due to differences in the external auditory canal and pinna shape can be eliminated. Direction detection <perception> It is effective and basic.
In a conventional dummy head recording system, a dummy head simulating a human head, auricle and a torso is used. The dummy head is a structure similar to the shape of a human body, and is composed of a head portion and a torso portion. In particular, the auricle portion uses silicon rubber close to the softness of human skin. Among the so-called dummy heads, KEMAR made by Knowles Electronics and HATS made by B & K are famous, and SAMRAI made by Koken is known in Japan. In addition, these products are the average of Americans, the average of races around the world, and the average of Japanese, and are still being used effectively. As for details of the dummy head, for example, there is Non-Patent Document 1 in the past literature.
FIG. 4 is a diagram simulating a dummy head recording system, in which FIG. 4 (a) is a view from the top of the head, and FIG. 4 (b) is a view from the side of the head. In FIG. 4, 21 is the original sound field space, 22 is the sound source, 23 is the dummy head, 24 is the pinna, 25 is the ear canal, 26 is the eardrum, 27 is the microphone, 28 is the amplifier, 29 is the reproduction sound field space, 30 is the listener , 31 are stereo earphones.

When the output signal of the
In particular, it is difficult to perceive a direction on a plane that cuts the center of the head vertically, that is, a so-called median plane, and a front-back misjudgment phenomenon occurs (see Non-Patent Document 2). The reason for this is that the geometrical position from the
The transfer function from Non-Patent Document 2 (p.18) to the
Hereinafter, HRTF will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 5 is an explanatory diagram of the head related transfer function (HRTF), which is a diagram of the HRTF. FIG. 5 (a) is a view from the top of the head, and FIG. 5 (b) is a view from the side of the head.
In FIG. 5, 32 is a head center position, 33 is a concha cavity, and 34 is an ear canal entrance.

Here, the
In recent years, direction perception on the median plane is impaired because when the radiation wavefront reaches the
As in equation (2), the first item is the presence or absence of the
On the other hand, as information on the
In this way, HRTF is a function including a plurality of factors, and each factor varies from individual to individual. In addition, many of the past documents including the above-mentioned document are due to the
Therefore, in order to try to generalize HRTF, there have been many research presentations so far. For example, principal component analysis method (see Non-Patent Document 5) or clustering method (Non-Patent Document 5) from transfer functions of a large number of
However, since it is also a typical transfer function, it has not yet been achieved to achieve out-of-head sound localization by listening to the
The present invention eliminates individual differences in the shape of the pinna, concha cavity, and ear canal to achieve accurate sound image localization, and reproduces the perception of realism equivalent to the original sound field space in the reproduction sound field space. This is a basic system for earphones.
As mentioned above, HRTF measures the transfer function from the sound source input signal to the output signal of the micro microphone installed at the ear canal entrance (or eardrum) and calculates the sound pressure. It is a transfer function that includes both individual differences in the luminal cavity, and is a coupling characteristic that is affected by the effects of diffracted waves by the head and the reflection and diffraction of sound waves by the depressions of the auricle and concha Recognize.
Therefore, when realizing accurate sound localization by listening to stereo earphones or when sound source direction estimation is performed by a robot, the same auricle / concha cavity replica and head-shaped replica as the actual body must be prepared. .
The present invention separates the listener's head from the auricle / concha space in order to separate the transfer function according to the head shape and the transfer function due to the auricle / concha conchae structure without creating a replica. Using a group of ultra-small dome loudspeakers, the sound pressure from the sound source in the original sound field space reproduces the same value as the sound pressure at the lattice point of the heel dome covering the auricle or concha cavity of the listener A or the dummy head By radiating from a group of ultra-small loudspeakers covering the pinna or concha cavity of the listener B in the sound field, accurate sound source direction detection and reproduction sound field space with the same realism as the original sound field space This is a basic system for earphones for perceptual reproduction.

The present invention relates to the sound pressure signal that reaches the listener A or the ear of the dummy head from the sound source in the original sound field space, and covers the ear or concha cavity of the listener B in the reproduction sound field with the same sound pressure. Radiates from a group of ultra-small speakers. The sound pressure signal is synthesized with the same sound pressure wavefront as that of the original sound field space, and reaches the ear canal entrance via the pinna and concha. As a result, the listener B perceives the virtual sound source in the same direction as the sound source in the original sound field space.
Therefore, individual differences due to differences in the outer ear, concha cavity, and ear canal are eliminated by the group of small dome loudspeakers separating the head from the pinna and pinna, and accurate direction localization is combined with wavefront synthesis. It becomes possible, and the realistic sensation equivalent to the original sound field space is reproduced in the reproduction sound field space by the wavefront synthesis.

<Operation>
Hereinafter, specific examples of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
First, it is necessary to know the Huygens principle and the Kirchhoff-Helmholtz principle regarding wavefront synthesis, which are the premise of the present invention.
FIG. 6 shows Huygens' principle. 101 is a first-order point sound source S 1 , 102 is a second-order point sound source S 2 group, 103 is a first-order spherical wavefront W 1 (t), and 104 is a second-order spherical wavefront W 2 (t + Δt).
In FIG. 6, according to Huygens' principle (1690), the first-order point
Therefore, even if the first primary point
Although intuitive, Huygens' principle does not correctly describe the actual physics of sound field propagation. In order to actually apply this principle, further mathematical proof was required.
In recent years, there is Non-Patent Document 7 using a Kirchhoff-Helmholz integral (Kirchhoff-Helmholz integral) that mathematically clarifies this phenomenon. The starting point of mathematics is derived from Green's second theorem.
FIG. 7 is a view showing the principle of Kirchhoff Helmholtz, and 105 is an acoustic closed space.
FIG. 7 shows the relationship between the first-order
Here, the first-order
In FIG. 7, there is a first-order point
here,
P (r R , k) is a sound pressure at an arbitrary observation location R in the acoustic
P (r, k) is the sound pressure at an arbitrary location S 2 on the surface area F on the acoustic
k is the wave number, the value (ω / c) obtained by dividing the angular frequency ω of the sound wave by the speed of sound c,
φ is a perpendicular (normal line) perpendicular to the surface of the second-order
この波面合成法をWFS(Wave Field Synthesis)と呼んでいる。
That is, the expression (3) means that the first-order point
In the wavefront synthesis method, the entire acoustic
The present invention applies this principle, eliminates the sound collection effect by the auricle of the first item of the formula (2) and the effect of the external auditory canal of the second item, and only the effect of the diffracted wave of the head of the third item. In order to achieve this, an acoustic closed space is provided by a heel dome that separates the head from the pinna and pinna, and the acoustic space is separated, and the sound pressure on the boundary is controlled to control the difference in the external auditory canal and pinna shape. It removes the characteristics of individual differences.
Hereinafter, for ease of explanation, the heel dome 6 is a hemisphere.
In FIG. 1, the sound wave radiated from the real sound source 2 is a direct wave and an indirect wave, that is, by repeating diffraction and reflection at the
In the present invention, since the dome dome 6 is a hemisphere for explanation, the distance Δr from one lattice point 7 to the ear canal entrance 4 is the same at each lattice point 7 because the ear canal entrance 4 is the center point of the hemisphere. And the angle φ from each lattice point 7 to the ear canal entrance 4 is 0 degree, and cos φ = 1 in equation (3).
Accordingly, the number of grid points 7 should be determined so that the sound pressure wavefront of the original sound field space 1 and the synthesized sound pressure wavefront of the reproduced
FIG. 2 describes an example of implementing the principle diagram of FIG. That is, the sound pressure signal collection and reproduction method at the lattice point 7 of the heel dome 6 of FIG. 1 is specifically described.
In the original sound field space 1, there is a listener A or a
