Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a disk device having an erroneous insertion prevention function for preventing abnormal insertion of a disk and insertion of an irregular disk, and in particular, a countermeasure when a sensor for detecting abnormal insertion of a disk or insertion of an irregular disk fails. The present invention relates to a provided disk device.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in-vehicle disk devices are provided with an insertion slot (slit) on the front surface of a housing, and when a disk such as a CD (compact disk) is inserted through the insertion slot, the disk is moved by a transport mechanism provided inside the housing. It is designed to be delivered to the turntable.
In such a disc device, the disc inserted from the insertion slot is detected by a plurality of optical sensors, and it is determined whether the disc has been normally carried in or whether a regular size disc has been carried in, and a standard (for example, When a different type disc such as a disc having a diameter smaller than 12 cm) or a card-like disc is inserted, the disc is forcibly ejected from the insertion slot to prevent erroneous insertion.
In other words, the status of a plurality of optical sensors and the time until the disk is inserted and loaded are monitored, and when a normal 12 cm disk cannot be inserted and when an unspecified loading time is detected, the disk To prevent foreign matter from being inserted into the housing.
In
However, in the disk device of the prior art and
In conventional disk devices, multiple optical sensors are used to operate the erroneous insertion prevention function. However, if any of the multiple sensors fails, abnormal disk insertion or abnormal disk insertion can be accurately determined. Therefore, there is a risk that a regular disk cannot be inserted, or an irregular disk is drawn into the housing and stacked.
In view of such circumstances, the present invention performs an erroneous insertion prevention process using only a normal sensor when any of a plurality of sensors fails, or after determining the possibility of inserting an irregular disk. It is an object of the present invention to provide a disk device that automatically cancels the erroneous insertion discrimination function.
According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a disk device that carries a disk inserted from a disk insertion slot into a housing and discharges the disk from the housing, and rotates the disk loaded by the transport mechanism. A rotation drive unit including a turntable to be driven, and a plurality of detectors arranged in a disk conveyance path between the disk insertion port and the turntable, and outputs a detection result that changes according to insertion / ejection of the disk The detection unit and the detection results of the plurality of detectors are used to determine erroneous disk insertion, and when any of the plurality of detectors fails, the determination specifications are switched to detect normal detectors. An erroneous insertion prevention processing unit that determines the erroneous insertion of the disk using only the result, and controls the transport mechanism when the disk is erroneously inserted to eject the disk; Characterized by comprising.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, there is provided a disc device according to the present invention, wherein a disc inserted from a disc insertion slot is carried into the housing and discharged from the inside of the housing, and the disc carried by the carrying mechanism is rotated. A rotation drive unit including a turntable to be driven, and a plurality of detectors arranged in a disk conveyance path between the disk insertion port and the turntable, and outputs a detection result that changes according to insertion / ejection of the disk And detecting a disc using the detection results of the plurality of detectors, and automatically ejecting the disc by controlling the transport mechanism when the disc is erroneously inserted. And a controller that cancels the erroneous insertion determination function when any of the detectors fails and the possibility of subsequent erroneous insertion is low.
In the disk device of the present invention, even when any of the optical sensors fails, it is possible to determine the insertion of the irregular disk using a normal optical sensor. Further, when any of the sensors fails, the disc insertion can be permitted by canceling the erroneous insertion discriminating function only when the possibility of erroneous insertion is low thereafter.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of a disk device according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
ディスクDとしては、CD(コンパクト・ディスク)やDVD(ディジタル・バーサタイル・ディスク)あるいはCD−ROMなどがある。
FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing an external structure of the

An optical pickup 22 (FIGS. 3 and 4) for reading information from the disk D set on the
Among the plurality of detectors, the optical sensors PD1 to PD4 are arranged such that, for example, a light emitting element such as a photodiode and a light receiving element such as a phototransistor face each other, and the disk D passes between the light emitting element and the light receiving element. Detects the loading / unloading status. When the disk D does not exist between the light emitting element and the light receiving element, the light emitted from the light emitting element is detected by the light receiving element, the detection output becomes low (Lo), and between the light emitting element and the light receiving element. When the disk D exists, the light from the light emitting element is blocked by the disk D, and the detection output of the light receiving element becomes high (Hi).
In FIG. 2, the optical sensors PD1 and PD2 are positioned on the opening 12 (see FIG. 1) side, that is, in front, and the optical sensors PD3 and PD4 are positioned on the back side. The optical sensor PD1 is located closest to the
When the diameter of the regular disk D is 12 cm, the distance between the optical sensors PD1 and PD2 is set to 8 cm or less, and the distance between the optical sensors PD3 and PD4 is set to 12 cm or less and longer than 8 cm. When the disk D is normally loaded on the
Accordingly, if an irregular disk having a diameter of 8 cm is loaded on the

The

The
The

The
The

The
FIG. 4 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the main part of the
The
The
Next, the operation of the erroneous insertion prevention process using the detection result of the
When any one of the optical sensors PD1 to PD4 is turned off (Hi), the
When the optical sensors PD1 to PD4 and the switch SW1 make a transition other than a preset state, the
FIG. 5 is a diagram for explaining transition of detection outputs of the optical sensors PD1 to PD4 when the disk D is carried in. In FIG. 5, “
As shown in FIG. 5, the detection output of the optical sensors PD <b> 1 to PD <b> 4 is “level” until the regular disk D (
In
In “
At “
At “
At “
In this way, the
Further, the
FIG. 6 shows an example of diagnostic information stored in the
By the way, in the
Therefore, in the first embodiment, when the failure of the optical sensors PD1 to PD4 is detected, the discrimination specification is switched, and the detection result of the remaining normal optical sensor is used instead of the detection result of the failed optical sensor. It is characterized in that it performs insertion determination (determination of abnormal insertion or insertion of an irregular disk).
光学センサPD1〜PD4(以下、単にセンサと呼ぶこともある)の故障検出は、以下の手法を用いて行う。 The failure detection of the optical sensors PD1 to PD4 (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as sensors) is performed using the following method.
1. If it is determined that the disk is a deformed disk during disk loading, the (Lo) output of the sensor that caused the deformed disk determination is recorded. In the subsequent loading, when the abnormal shape determination (Lo) is made due to the same sensor, the number of consecutive occurrences is recorded. If the number of consecutive occurrences exceeds a certain value, the corresponding sensor is considered to be faulty.
2. When there is a sensor that outputs (Hi) regardless of whether or not a disk is inserted, the irregular disk ejection process is performed, but after the irregular disk ejection process, there is an optical sensor that still outputs (Hi). Ordinarily, there is a high possibility that an atypical disk is held in the housing. However, there are few users who leave this state for a long time. Therefore, the optical sensor that outputs (Hi) for a preset time or more after ejecting the atypical disc is regarded as having failed.
3. In the case of having the function of ejecting the odd-shaped disc, the disc that reaches the completion of loading is only a regular 12 cm disc. Since the disc is circular, the value of the optical sensor does not change in the loading completion state. Therefore, the sensor value is monitored when loading is completed, and if there is a sensor that outputs a value that is not possible normally, it is regarded as a malfunction.
In this way, when there is a failed optical sensor, the discrimination specification is automatically switched, and the erroneous insertion prevention process is performed with reference to the detection results of the remaining normal sensors except for the failed sensor. Since the number of normal sensors is reduced, even though it is not possible to completely discriminate abnormal disk insertion or insertion of atypical discs, the remaining normal sensors can discriminate at least atypical discs, The possibility of ejecting the irregular disk and stacking it in the housing can be reduced.
In addition, when a plurality of optical sensors fail and cannot be determined, the user is notified of the failure. As a notification method, the information may be displayed on the

FIG. 7 is a flowchart showing the overall operation of the erroneous insertion prevention process in the first embodiment. In FIG. 7, step S <b> 0 is a step of detecting a failure of the optical sensors PD <b> 1 to PD <b> 4, and detects a failed sensor by the above-described
If there is a failed sensor, the failure sensor is stored in the failure list of the
If both the front optical sensors PD1 and PD2 have failed, or if both the rear optical sensors PD3 and PD4 have failed, the process proceeds to step S3 to indicate that the mechanism is malfunctioning. 35 to notify the user. On the other hand, when one of the front optical sensors PD1 and PD2 and either one of the rear optical sensors PD3 and PD4 are normal, the process proceeds to step S4, and a disk error is detected using the normal optical sensor. Determine insertion or insertion of atypical disc.
FIG. 8 is a flowchart showing a specific operation of the erroneous insertion prevention process using the optical sensors PD1 to PD4 and the switch SW1.
In FIG. 8, step S10 is a disc loading start step, and the motor M starts rotating in step S11. Step S11 is a state in which the
In step S13, the states of the front sensors PD1 and PD2 are determined, and it is determined whether both the sensors PD1 and PD2 are Hi. If either of the front sensors PD1 and PD2 is Lo, the state of the back side sensors PD3 and PD4 and the state of the switch SW1 are determined in step S14. If any of the sensors PD3 and PD4 on the back side is Hi and SW1 is Hi in step S14, it is determined that the disk is an atypical disk, and the ejection process is performed in step S24.
If the back side sensors PD3 and PD4 are both Lo in step S14, it is determined in step S15 whether or not a predetermined time has elapsed. If the predetermined time has elapsed (timed out), an empty disk is determined in step S16. It is determined that the process is terminated. If the predetermined time has not elapsed in step S15, the process returns to step S13. Note that the predetermined time is set to be, for example, within seconds after one of the front sensors PD1 and PD2 detects the disk D.
On the other hand, if both the front sensors PD1 and PD2 are Hi in step S13, the state of the back sensors PD3 and PD4 is determined in step S17. If it is determined in step S17 that the back side sensors PD3 and PD4 are both Hi, the process proceeds to step S20. If any of the back side sensors PD3 and PD4 is Lo, the process proceeds to step S18.
In step S18, the state of the front sensors PD1 and PD2 and the state of the switch SW1 are discriminated. If either of the front sensors PD1 and PD2 is Lo and the switch SW1 is Hi, it is determined that the disk is an atypical disk. Discharge processing at. If the determination in step S18 is NO, it is determined in step 19 whether or not a predetermined time has elapsed, and if timed out, a disk ejection process is performed in step S24. If the predetermined time has not elapsed in step S19, the process returns to step S17.
If it is determined in step S18 that the rear sensors PD3 and PD4 are both Hi, it is determined in step S20 whether the switch SW1 is Hi. If the switch SW1 is Hi in step S20, the process proceeds to step S23, and the loading of the disk is completed. When the switch SW1 is Lo in step S20, the states of the front sensors PD1 and PD2 and the rear sensors PD3 and PD4 are determined in step S21.
If any one of the front sensors PD1 and PD2 and the rear sensors PD3 and PD4 is Lo in step S21, it is determined that the disk is an atypical disk, and the ejection process is performed in step S24. If the determination in step S21 is NO, it is determined in
Note that the steps indicated by dotted line frames S41, S42, and S43 mean that when there is a faulty sensor, the step is performed by using the remaining normal sensors.
As described above, in the first embodiment, even when any of the optical sensors fails, it is possible to determine insertion of the atypical disc using a normal optical sensor. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the possibility that the atypical disc is ejected when it is inserted and stacked in the housing. If a plurality of optical sensors fail and cannot be determined, the
Next, a disk device according to a second embodiment will be described. In the second embodiment, when the optical sensors PD1 to PD4 break down, the erroneous insertion determination function is canceled so that the disc can be inserted. That is, if any of the optical sensors PD1 to PD4 breaks down, even if a regular disk is inserted, it may be erroneously determined that an atypical disk has been inserted, and the disk may be automatically ejected. Therefore, when any of the optical sensors PD1 to PD4 fails, the erroneous insertion determination function is canceled so that the disc can be inserted.
However, after that, when there is a high possibility that an atypical disc will be inserted, it will continue without canceling the misinsertion discriminating function. That is, the feature is that the discriminating function of the irregular disk is canceled.
When a failure of the optical sensors PD1 to PD4 is detected, "there is a high possibility that a deformed disk will be inserted afterwards" means, for example, that a child inserts a card or a coin many times by mischief, or is immature in operation. This is the case where the user inserts the irregularly shaped disc many times.
Therefore, based on the diagnostic information shown in FIG. 6, if the abnormal disk detection history exists more than a preset number of times, the abnormal disk discriminating function is not canceled. The diagnosis information in FIG. 6 stores an abnormal operation history (Customer Cause Counter) that is considered to be a cause of the user, so this information may be referred to. The customer cause counter stores the detection pattern / number of times of the irregular disk, and can obtain information on how many times the irregular disk has been inserted by the user in the past.
The diagnostic information stores data on the number of times the disk has been loaded and ejected, so that a deformed disk may be inserted even when the number of ejections (ejects) is much higher than the number of times the disk has been loaded. The disc discriminating function is not canceled.
FIG. 9 is a flowchart showing an operation for releasing the disc-shaped discriminating function at the time of sensor failure. In FIG. 9, step S50 is a step of receiving a disk loading request. In step S51, it is determined whether or not there is a failed sensor in the optical sensors PD1 to PD4. The presence or absence of a failure sensor is determined by referring to the failure list shown in step S1 of FIG. If there is no failure sensor, the process proceeds to step S55, and disk loading is started.
On the other hand, if there is a failure sensor in step S51, the process proceeds to step S52. Note that step S56 before step S52 is a step to be added as necessary, which will be described later. In step S52, it is determined whether or not the atypical disk detection history is greater than or equal to a predetermined number. If the irregular disc detection history is equal to or less than the predetermined number of times, the irregular disc discrimination function is turned off in step S53. As a result, the disc-shaped disc discriminating function is canceled, and loading of the disc D is started in step S55.
If it is determined in step S52 that the number of irregular-shaped disk detection histories is equal to or greater than a predetermined number (large number), the process proceeds to step S54, and the irregular-shaped disk discrimination function is turned on. As a result, the irregular disc discrimination function continues without being canceled. Therefore, when there is a high possibility that a deformed disk is inserted, the erroneous insertion determination function operates even if one of the optical sensors is out of order.
Further, when the
For example, in a DVD playback device, if parental lock is applied, or if video output is set to the rear monitor provided on the back seat of the vehicle, there is a high possibility that there are children and cards and coins are There is a high risk of accidental insertion. Therefore, when the parental lock is applied or the output to the rear monitor is set, it is preferable to set so as not to cancel the disc discriminating function.
Parental lock is a function that limits the programs and contents that parents can listen to, such as TV broadcasts and DVDs. This function prevents children from seeing age-restricted images.
FIG. 10 is a flowchart showing an on / off operation of the discriminating function for atypical discs based on the discrimination result of whether or not a child is on board.
In FIG. 10, step S60 (mechanical activation) indicates activation of the
If the determinations in steps S61 and S62 are both NO, the irregular disc discrimination function is set to OFF in step S63. If the determination in step S61 or S62 is YES, the process proceeds to step S64, and the irregular disc discrimination function is set to ON. Step S65 is a mode select command transmission step, in which the irregular disc discriminating function set in step S63 or S64 is set to continue (on) or released (off).
Step S56 indicated by a dotted line in FIG. 9 is a determination step in FIG. 10, that is, a step of determining whether or not the irregular disc determination function is ON. If the determination result of step S56 is YES (ON), the process proceeds to step S54. If NO (OFF), the process proceeds to step S52, and after determining the abnormal disk detection history, it is determined whether or not to release the abnormal disk discriminating function.
The determination as to whether or not to release the disc-shaped disc discriminating function at the time of the sensor failure can be realized by registering the on / off setting of the disc-shaped disc discriminating function in the mode select command of the
FIG. 11 shows an example of the format of the mode select command. The mode select command is a command for setting the operation of the
As described above, in the disk device of the present invention, even when any of the optical sensors fails, it is possible to determine the insertion of the irregular disk using a normal optical sensor. Or, if any of the optical sensors fails, it is determined whether there is a risk that the same mistake will be repeated thereafter based on the detection history of the irregular disk. The discriminating function can be canceled to allow the disc to be inserted.
The embodiment of the present invention is not limited to the configuration described above. For example, the present invention can be applied to a storage type disk device in which disks are stored in a plurality of trays and any one disk is reproduced. Further, the present invention can be applied not only to a vehicle-mounted disk device but also to a household disk device. Various modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the claims.
