Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a fuel cell system including a fuel cell that generates power using a fuel gas and an oxidant gas, and more particularly to a system stop process when a gas leak occurs.
A fuel cell system includes a hydrogen generator that generates steam by reforming raw materials such as city gas and LP gas to generate a hydrogen-rich fuel gas, and a hydrogen-rich fuel gas and an oxidant gas that are generated by the hydrogen generator. And a fuel cell that generates electricity by an electrochemical reaction.
Such a fuel cell system uses a combustible gas such as city gas, LP gas, or hydrogen-rich fuel gas, so when a gas leak occurs, an abnormality is detected at an early stage and there is a risk of ignition or explosion. It is important to suppress the occurrence of events.
By the way, in the case where the ventilation fan 34 is stopped, the above-described conventional technology is configured to operate the ventilation fan 34 and to discharge the leaked gas from the outside of the package 33 when an abnormality of combustible gas leakage is detected. ing. However, if an abnormality in the leakage of combustible gas is detected in a state where the ventilation fan 34 is stopped or in a state where the ventilation fan 34 is operating abnormally, the entire package 33 enters the combustible gas combustion range. If it is attempted to control the ventilation fan 34 to operate in such a state, a spark is generated from a relay of a power supply circuit that supplies power to the controller or a high-pressure unit, and the combustible gas is ignited. there is a possibility.
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and gas leakage in the housing occurs when the fan that ventilates the interior of the housing is stopped or malfunctioned. An object of the present invention is to provide a fuel cell system in which the safety is improved as compared with the conventional case.
In order to solve the above-described problems, a fuel cell system according to the present invention includes a fuel cell that generates power using a fuel gas containing hydrogen, a controller, and a power supply circuit that supplies electric power for a control operation to the controller. A housing that houses the fuel cell, the controller, and the power supply circuit, a combustible gas leak detector that detects leakage of combustible gas in the housing, and a ventilation fan that ventilates the interior of the housing The operation of the power supply circuit is stopped when the ventilation fan is in an abnormal operation state or during operation stop and when a gas leak is detected by the combustible gas leak detector.
The present invention is configured as described above, and even when a gas leak in the casing occurs in a state where the fan that ventilates the inside of the casing is stopped or malfunctioned, it is safer than before. It becomes possible to improve the property.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the following description, the same or corresponding elements are denoted by the same reference numerals throughout all the drawings, and redundant description thereof is omitted.
A fuel cell system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a fuel cell that generates power using a fuel gas containing hydrogen, a controller, a power supply circuit that supplies electric power for a control operation to the controller, and the fuel A housing that houses the battery, the controller, and the power supply circuit, a combustible gas leak detector that detects leakage of combustible gas in the housing, and a ventilation fan that ventilates the interior of the housing. The operation of the power supply circuit is stopped when a gas leak is detected by the combustible gas leak detector while the ventilation fan is operating abnormally or is not operating.
The “fuel cell” only needs to generate electricity by using a fuel gas containing hydrogen as a reducing agent gas and reacting it with an oxidant gas. For example, a polymer electrolyte fuel cell, a phosphoric acid fuel cell, A molten carbonate fuel cell, a solid oxide fuel cell, or the like can be used as the “fuel cell”.
Among the “abnormal operation state of the ventilation fan or the operation is stopped and a gas leak is detected by the combustible gas leak detector”, “the combustible gas leak is detected in the abnormal operation state of the ventilation fan”. `` When a gas leak is detected by the anomaly detector '' means that the operation of the ventilation fan is detected after an abnormal gas leak is detected after the abnormal operation of the ventilation fan occurs, or after the abnormal gas leak is detected. Includes both cases where an abnormality occurs. In the following, an embodiment in the latter case is illustrated. Further, “when the operation of the ventilation fan is stopped” means that the ventilation fan is stopped for control (for example, according to a control command). On the other hand, the “abnormal operation state of the ventilation fan” means a state where the ventilation fan does not operate normally. Accordingly, in this case, the ventilation fan may remain stopped even if an operation command is input to the ventilation fan.
According to the configuration as described above, when a gas leak is detected by the combustible gas leak detector in an abnormal operation state of the ventilation fan or when the operation is stopped, the operation of the power supply circuit is stopped and the controller is stopped. Since power for control operation is not supplied, even if the ventilation fan does not operate and the entire inside of the housing is in the combustible gas combustion range, the relay or high voltage section of the power supply circuit that supplies power to the controller It is possible to prevent sparks from being generated and the combustible gas from being ignited. As a result, even when a gas leak occurs in the housing in a state where the fan for ventilating the inside of the housing is stopped or malfunctioning, the safety can be improved as compared with the conventional case. .
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be specifically exemplified.
(Embodiment 1)
Embodiment 1 of the present invention exemplifies a form corresponding to a case where a flammable gas leak is detected in an abnormal operation state of a ventilation fan.
FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a configuration of a fuel cell system according to Embodiment 1 of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 1, the fuel cell system according to the present embodiment includes, as main components, a fuel cell 1, which is an example of a “fuel cell”, a
The fuel cell 1 generates power using a fuel gas containing hydrogen supplied to the anode and an oxidant gas supplied to the cathode.
The
The downstream end of the raw material gas supply path 4 is connected to the hydrogen generator 2 (more precisely, the reformer). The upstream end of the source gas supply path 4 is connected to a source gas supply source. A
Further, a
The hydrogen generator 2 (more precisely, the reformer) is configured to be heated by the combustor 3. The
The oxidant
The
The ventilation
The
The
The
The
On the outer surface of the
Further, the fuel cell system includes a
Next, the operation of the fuel cell system configured as described above will be described. Note that the operation of the fuel cell system described below is performed under the control of the
First, a general operation will be briefly described. The fuel cell system has four operation modes: a start process, a power generation operation, a stop process, and a stop state. These four operation modes are performed under the control of the
In FIG. 1, the fuel cell system is activated by the activation start control signal from the
Thereby, in the
In the fuel cell 1, these supplied gases react to generate power. The hydrogen-rich fuel gas that has not been consumed in the fuel cell 1 is supplied to the combustor 3 through the off-
Thereby, in the fuel cell system, the fuel cell 1 generates power. Further, the
When the control signal for stopping operation is output from the
Next, the gas leakage abnormality process, which is a characteristic operation of the present embodiment, will be described with reference to FIG.
FIG. 2 is a flowchart showing the contents of the gas leakage abnormality process in the fuel cell system of FIG. This abnormal gas leakage process is performed in the
The
On the other hand, when a gas leak is detected, the fuel cell system starts a gas leak abnormality process. Specifically, the
Next, the
Next, the
Here, first, the result of performing steps S2 to S5 as described above will be described. The user who sees the gas leak abnormality display on the
Next, the case where the
In such a state, the
Then, when the maintenance man arrives at the installation location of the fuel cell system and the maintenance man inputs a stop command for the
Next, the
During this time, the maintenance man performs maintenance work for the gas leakage abnormality, and when this is completed and the maintenance man inputs the abnormality release signal by the
Next, a case where the
In such a state, when the
Thus, the gas leakage abnormality process is completed. In the above description, the stop process is completed when the stop operation other than the ventilation operation of the
In the above description, the
Next, a modification of the present embodiment will be described.
[Modification]
FIG. 3 is a flowchart showing the contents of the gas leakage abnormality process in the fuel cell system according to this modification.
In this modification, step S5 in the configuration of FIGS. 1 and 2 is performed not between step S4 and step S6, but between step S2 and step S3. Other than this, the configuration is the same as that of FIGS. 1 and 2. Specifically, after starting the stop process of the fuel cell system in step S2, the controller 1 determines whether or not an abnormality of the
As described above, according to the fuel cell system of the present embodiment, in the state where the
In addition, although the specific gas leak abnormality process was illustrated above, the content of the gas leak abnormality process is not particularly limited except that the ventilation fan is operated in the gas leak abnormality process.
(Embodiment 2)
The second embodiment of the present invention exemplifies a form corresponding to a case where a gas leak is detected by the combustible gas leak detector while the operation of the ventilation fan is stopped.
The fuel cell system of the present embodiment is the same as the fuel cell system of the first embodiment except that the contents of the gas leakage abnormality process are different.
FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing the contents of the gas leakage abnormality process of the fuel cell system according to
As shown in FIG. 4, in the present embodiment, the
Next, the
If the
On the other hand, when the
Thus, the gas leakage abnormality process of the present embodiment is completed.
As described above, according to the fuel cell system of the present embodiment, safety is ensured even when gas leakage occurs in the
