Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a pleated molded body used in a separation apparatus for a fluid containing at least one of gas and liquid, and the pleated molded body.
Membrane separation operations are advantageous in that they have simpler equipment and lower operating costs than separation operations such as distillation and adsorption, and are widely used in liquid treatment, gas treatment, and gas-liquid separation treatment. Gas treatment using membranes can be broadly divided into air filters and gas separation membranes, and the former, which is frequently used for the purpose of removing foreign substances, has formed a large market. Yes. Examples of gas separation applications include hydrogen separation, water vapor separation, ammonia separation, carbon dioxide gas separation, volatile organic compound separation, oxygen separation, nitrogen separation, etc., and specific uses include combustion path control, chemical plant, Examples include fuel cells, medical care, home appliances, engine combustion control, and the like.
General conditions required for an apparatus for separating a fluid containing at least one of gas and liquid include 1) membrane area, 2) capacity of the apparatus, 3) resistance to ventilation / liquid passage, 4) durability, and 5) production cost. It is done. 1) and 2) are designed from the viewpoint of maintaining as much membrane area as possible within a certain device capacity. There are three types of ventilation and fluid flow resistance in 3).
The first is resistance when a fluid containing at least one of gas and liquid passes through a separation membrane or a filter medium. Second, when processing the fluid, in the case of the usage method in which a part of the fluid permeates the membrane or the filter medium and the part that does not permeate the membrane or the filter medium is recovered, the fluid does not permeate from the inlet to which the fluid is supplied. It is the resistance between the outlet for collecting the remaining fluid. (Hereafter, expressed as “primary resistance”.)
The third is the resistance from immediately after the membrane to the outlet when the fluid after passing through the membrane or the filter medium flows to the outlet (hereinafter referred to as “secondary resistance”). Ventilation / fluid resistance is not a big problem in large-scale devices with sufficient supply pressure for fluids containing at least one of gas and liquid, but in small devices with many restrictions on the usage environment and high-capacity devices This is particularly problematic and the lower one is advantageous. It is advantageous that the durability of 4) is high and the production cost of 5) is low.
These membrane separation devices (membrane separation modules) can be roughly classified into hollow fiber devices (hollow fiber modules) and flat membrane devices (flat membrane modules). Flat membrane modules can be classified into spiral modules, plate and frame modules, pleated modules and the like. Hollow fiber modules are widely used. In general, however, hollow fiber membrane bundles made of a polymer material are both bonded and fixed with a resin and stored in a cylindrical housing (Patent Document). 1). The spiral module is formed by forming a pair of flat membranes made of a polymer material into an envelope shape, and then winding the envelope with the open end of the envelope applied to a center pipe and storing it in a cylindrical housing (Patent Document 2). A few plate-and-frame modules are used (Non-Patent Document 1). This is a structure in which a flat membrane made of a polymer material is fixed to a frame, stacked as required, and housed in a housing.
As a pleat module, a box-type pleat module (Patent Document 3) and a cylindrical pleat module are known (Patent Document 4). In the former, a flat film made of a polymer material is subjected to pleat processing as seen in curtains and skirts by repeating mountain folds and valley folds at a specific pitch, and then the pleat end faces at both ends are sealed (hereinafter referred to as “sealing”). ”Or“ adhesion ”), and an element formed into a box shape is housed in a housing. In the latter case, after applying the pleating process similar to the above box shape, aligning both end faces of the pleats to prepare a cylinder, and finally sealing (sealing) both ends of the cylinder to form a cylindrical element in the housing It is what I paid. Here, “element” refers to a component for fluid separation, and “module” refers to a device in which the element is housed in a housing.
Since the hollow fiber element generally has a structure in which the longitudinal direction L of the cylinder is larger than the diameter D of the circle, the hollow fiber becomes long and the pressure loss of the fluid inside the hollow fiber is large. When supplying the fluid to be treated to the inside of the hollow fiber, the inside of the hollow fiber is the primary resistance generating place, and when supplying the fluid to be processed to the outside of the hollow fiber, the outside of the hollow fiber is the temporary resistance generating place. Become. A method of bundling short hollow fibers to reduce the pressure loss is also conceivable, but it is difficult to arrange a large number of short hollow fiber membranes while a small number of long hollow fiber membranes are bundled. Indeed, the assembly of the hollow fiber element becomes difficult. Moreover, it is difficult to flow the fluid uniformly outside the hollow fiber. Since the hollow fiber module can easily increase the membrane area by increasing the number of hollow fibers, there are few restrictions on the installation space of the module, and it can be said that it is suitable for large devices that require a large membrane area. There is a difficulty in realizing a low pressure loss structure with high throughput and high flow rate.
Since the spiral module usually uses a cylindrical element having a large L / D, the pressure loss (“primary side resistance” or “secondary side resistance”) of the fluid flowing in the long axis direction of the cylinder increases. Also, the fluid flowing in the envelope connected to the center pipe has a large pressure loss ("primary side resistance" or "secondary side resistance") because the distance from the tip of the envelope to the center pipe is long. Since the spiral module has a simple structure, it is easy to increase the area of the membrane or filter medium, so that it can be said that it is suitable for large-scale devices that require a large membrane area with less restrictions on the installation space, like the hollow fiber module. However, there is a difficulty in realizing a low pressure loss structure with a high throughput and a high flow rate. The plate and frame module is not generally structured, and the element assembly process and the module structure are complicated.
Although the pleat module can solve the above-mentioned drawbacks of other modules, it is particularly easy to narrow the width of the pleat. For this reason, since the pressure loss of the fluid flowing in the width direction can be reduced, a high-performance module having low primary resistance and secondary resistance can be easily produced.
In the membrane separation element housed in the membrane separation module, it is necessary to form a seal structure that separates the supply side and permeation side of the fluid to be processed. Conventionally, as a method for sealing (sealing) a pleat end surface in a positional relationship perpendicular to a pleat surface of a pleated laminate, a method in which a mold frame and a pleat end surface are adhered and sealed with an adhesive or a hot melt resin has been used. (
However, when the sealing structure is formed by a conventional method, if the viscosity of the adhesive is high, there is a drawback that the sealing resin does not easily enter between the pleats constituting the pleats and sufficient adhesive strength cannot be obtained. In order to spread the sealing resin sufficiently between the pleats, it is necessary that the viscosity of the uncured sealing resin is low. This causes a phenomenon that is difficult to control such that the sealing resin rises due to its surface tension, which causes a decrease in the effective area of the pleats and a decrease in adhesive strength. As a result, it has been difficult to efficiently produce a pleated molded body having a high processing capability in a pleated molded body that separates a fluid composed of at least one of gas and liquid.
The present invention has been made in view of such problems, and in manufacturing a pleated molded body for fluid separation, a method for manufacturing a pleated molded body having a high processing capability, and a pleated manufactured by the method. It aims at providing a molded object.
The present inventors sealed only one end surface of the pleated laminate to form a pleated molded body in which envelope-shaped pleats are arranged, and the rise of the sealing resin injected between adjacent pleats is small. In addition, as a result of studying a method for obtaining sufficient sealing strength with a small amount of sealing resin, it is preferable to use centrifugal force to supply the sealing resin reliably and accurately to the slight gap between the pleats. As a result, the present invention has been completed.
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a pleated molded body for fluid separation, a step of pleating a single-layer or multilayer planar material, a pleated laminate having a plurality of pleats by pleating, and a plurality of pleats. A step of sealing a virtual pleated laminate end face including an edge of the portion to form a sealed portion, and applying a centrifugal force in a direction from the inside to the outside with respect to the pleated laminate end face, The method includes a step of supplying an adhesive to the inside of the end face of the laminate, and a step of removing the sealing portion formed on the end face of the pleated laminate.
According to the present invention, the amount of adhesive used is small, and the rise of the adhesive supplied between the pleats is reduced, so that the effective area of the pleated surface required for the separation process can be reliably ensured, It is possible to increase the number of pleats by narrowing the interval between pleats. As a result, when manufacturing a pleated molded body for fluid separation, a pleated molded body having a high processing capability can be manufactured.
Furthermore, it is preferable that said centrifugal force is 10 G or more.
Further, the present invention is a pleated molded body manufactured by the above-described method for manufacturing a pleated molded body, wherein adjacent planar materials of a pleated laminate formed by pleating a multi-layered planar material. The average interval is 0.01 mm or more and 5 mm or less, and only one surface of the pleat surface is bonded and fixed.
Furthermore, it is preferable that the planar material has a multilayer structure including a flat membrane for fluid separation and an auxiliary member through which fluid can pass.
Furthermore, the flat membrane for fluid separation is preferably a flat membrane having a gas-separating resin layer on a microporous membrane.
ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, when manufacturing the pleated molded object for fluid separation, a pleated molded object with a high processing capability can be provided.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the pleated molded body according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[Structure of pleated compact]
(On terms)
In the present embodiment, the “pleat” means a structure obtained by continuously folding a planar material in a bellows shape, and is formed by pleating that repeatedly folds and folds the planar material at a specific pitch. .
A pleated laminate refers to a structure in which a plurality of pleats are bundled. The pleated laminate has, for example, a plurality of “folded portions” formed by overlapping mountain fold portions, and the “folded portions” have substantially straight folds. Note that the crease is not limited to those in which a fold line is clearly formed, and in the case of being bent and folded, it means a line near the top of the mountain fold. In addition, both sides of the planar material before forming the pleats become the base surface of the pleat surface after pleating, respectively, and the base surface overlaps by laminating multiple pleats, both surfaces (front side and back side) Each becomes a pleated surface.
The pleated laminate end surface means a virtual plane including an end portion perpendicular to the pleated surface of the pleated laminate, that is, a virtual plane including edges of a plurality of pleats. And a pleated molded object means the molded object which sealed the pleated laminated body end surface and was fixed to the predetermined shape. Here, the term “seal” means sealing, and specific examples thereof include pouring an adhesive into the gap between the pleats to solidify and fixing, filling the gap between the pleats by fusion bonding, and the like. The Examples of the shape of the pleated molded body include a box shape and a cylindrical shape.

It is preferable that the surfaces in the length direction of the pleated molded body, that is, the
The pleated laminate (see FIG. 3) 2 includes a pleated
The
In order to prevent deformation of the

Specific examples of (1) include paper and nonwoven fabric for removing particles from fluids, MF (microfiltration) membranes, UF (ultrafiltration) membranes, RO (reverse osmosis) membranes, and molecular sieve membranes for water treatment. And carbon-based materials. A specific example of (2) is an ion exchange membrane. Specific examples of (3) include a gas selective permeable membrane using a difference in gas solubility and diffusion rate in a polymer, and a gas selective permeable membrane using a metal thin film. There are no particular limitations on the gas to be separated, but examples include oxygen, nitrogen, ammonia, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, helium, argon, water vapor, hydrocarbon, hydrogen chloride, SOx, NOx, Cl2, and H2S. Various membrane materials can be used as the gas selective permeable membrane. Examples of the polymer material include polydimethylsiloxane, polydiphenylsiloxane, polymethylphenylsiloxane, polydimethylsiloxane copolymer, poly-4-methylpentene-1, polytetrafluoroethylene, and polytetrafluoroethylene copolymer. That. Among these, an organopolysiloxane-polyurea-polyurethane block copolymer and a copolymer of perfluoro-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxole and tetrafluoroethylene are preferable in terms of high gas permeation rate. Examples of the inorganic material include A-type zeolite.
The structure of the flat membrane is a single layer structure or a composite structure. When the separable resin layer of fluid containing at least one of gas and liquid has strength as a self-supporting membrane, a single layer structure is possible. In some cases, self-supporting films are laminated to form a composite structure. Further, a flat membrane having a composite structure in which a thin film of a fluid separating resin containing at least one of gas and liquid is formed on a microporous membrane support is also used. A flat membrane having a composite structure is called a composite membrane, and a fluid separation layer formed on a support layer is called a separation layer, a skin layer, or an active layer. In this case, since the mechanical strength is handled by the microporous membrane and the fluid separation performance is handled by the separation layer, a flat membrane having both high fluid processing performance and high mechanical strength can be obtained.
The composite membrane can be prepared by coating, impregnating or laminating a dilute solution of fluid-separating resin on the microporous membrane, or by producing at least gas and liquid on the surface in the process of producing the asymmetric microporous membrane by the layer separation method. There is a method of forming a skin layer having a fluid separation performance including one. Various methods can be adopted as a method for coating the fluid-separable resin on the microporous membrane. For example, gravure coating, microgravure coating, die coating, bar coating, spray coating, Examples of the method include dip coating. Examples of the asymmetric microporous membrane having a skin layer include an asymmetric microporous membrane having a polyimide skin layer.
When the flat membrane is a gas separation membrane, the gas permeability is expressed by a permeation rate R. The permeation rate R is expressed by the gas permeation amount in unit time, unit area, and unit partial pressure difference, and GPU (Gas permeation unit) = 10 −6 cm 3 (STP) / cm 2 · sec · cmHg is widely used. Yes. The permeation rate per unit film thickness of the gas separating resin is expressed as a permeation coefficient P, and barrer = 10 −10 cm 3 (STP) cm / cm 2 · sec · cmHg is widely used as a unit. Whereas the permeation rate R is a physical property of the actual membrane itself, the permeation coefficient P is a physical constant specific to the material. Even if the material has a high permeation coefficient, if a necessary and sufficient thin film cannot be obtained, the permeation rate R becomes low and it is not suitable for gas separation. The separation coefficient α is the ratio of any two types of transmission coefficients. When the gas-separating resin layer is formed on the microporous film by a method such as coating, there may actually be defects such as pinholes, coating defects, and gas-separating resin layer peeling. If there is this defect, gas separation performance is lowered. The ratio of any two kinds of gas permeation rates with respect to a certain gas separation membrane can be defined as an apparent gas separation coefficient α ′. However, when the gas separation resin layer has the above-described defect, α ′ <α.
The kind of gas separation resin is selected according to the intended use. The permeation rate and the apparent separation factor of the gas separation membrane are mainly determined by the type of the gas separation resin and how to form the thin film. When a large amount of oxygen-enriched air or nitrogen-enriched air is desired for combustion control applications, the oxygen permeation rate R is preferably 100 GPU or more and 1,000,000 GPU or less, more preferably 200 GPU or more, further preferably 500 GPU or more, 1,000 GPU or more is still more preferable, 1,500 GPU or more is particularly preferable, 2,000 GPU or more is very preferable, and 2500 GPU or more is most preferable. The separation factor α (= RO 2 / RN 2 ) between oxygen and nitrogen is preferably 1.1 or more and 1,000,000 or less, more preferably 1.5 or more, still more preferably 1.8 or more, and 2.0 or more. Is more preferable, 2.2 or higher is particularly preferable, 2.4 or higher is extremely preferable, and 2.6 or higher is most preferable. When α is smaller than 1.1, a large amount of nitrogen moves from the primary side to the secondary side (permeation side) accompanying oxygen, which is not preferable. Higher α is preferable because the amount of nitrogen accompanying oxygen can be suppressed, but generally, the separation coefficient and the permeation coefficient are in a trade-off relationship.
The thickness of the flat membrane is preferably 1 μm or more and 1,000 μm or less. The lower limit of the film thickness is more preferably 5 μm or more, further preferably 8 μm or more, and most preferably 10 μm or more. The upper limit of the film thickness is more preferably 500 μm or less, further preferably 200 μm or less, still more preferably 100 μm or less, particularly preferably 50 μm or less, and most preferably 30 μm or less. When the film thickness is less than 1 μm, the mechanical strength may be insufficient. When the film thickness exceeds 1,000 μm, the transmission speed is insufficient, or the total area of the film contained in a certain volume is reduced. There is.
微多孔膜としては、ポリイミド微多孔膜、PVDF(ポリフッ化ビニリデン)微多孔膜、ポリオレフィン微多孔膜、PAN(ポリアクリロニトリル)微多孔膜、PS(ポリスルホン)微多孔膜、PES(ポリエーテルスルホン)微多孔膜など様々な微多孔膜を用いることが出来る。 In the case of a composite membrane, a flat membrane support layer can be used as long as it is a flat membrane that is excellent in permeability and mechanical strength of a fluid containing at least one of gas and liquid and can be pleated. Examples thereof include cloth, nonwoven fabric, and microporous membrane. Microporous membranes include polyimide microporous membrane, PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) microporous membrane, polyolefin microporous membrane, PAN (polyacrylonitrile) microporous membrane, PS (polysulfone) microporous membrane, PES (polyethersulfone) microporous membrane Various microporous films such as a porous film can be used. Of these, polyolefin microporous membranes, polysulfone microporous membranes, and polyethersulfone microporous membranes are preferred. Examples of polyolefin microporous membrane include polyethylene microporous membrane, polypropylene microporous membrane, microporous membrane blended with polyethylene and polypropylene, and microporous membrane blended with polyethylene and / or polypropylene with a third component such as heat resistant resin. it can.
The porosity of the flat membrane support layer is preferably 5% or more and 95% or less. The lower limit of the porosity is more preferably 10% or more, further preferably 20% or more, still more preferably 30% or more, and most preferably 40% or more. If the porosity is less than 5%, gas permeability may be insufficient. If the porosity exceeds 95%, the mechanical strength may be insufficient. The average pore diameter of the support layer is preferably from 0.1 nm to 10 μm. The lower limit of the average pore diameter is more preferably 80 nm or more, further preferably 50 nm or more, still more preferably 20 nm or more, particularly preferably 10 nm or more, and most preferably 0.1 nm or more. The upper limit of the average pore diameter is more preferably 1 μm or less, further preferably 500 nm or less, still more preferably 200 nm or less, and particularly preferably 150 nm or less. When the average pore diameter is less than 0.1 nm, the porosity and the surface aperture ratio are often low, which is not preferable. An average pore diameter exceeding 10 μm is not preferable because it becomes too large with respect to the thickness of the separation layer.
The thickness of the separation layer of the gas separation membrane is preferably 1 nm or more and 10 μm or less. A thinner separation layer is preferable because the gas permeation rate P increases. The film preferably has few defects, and most preferably has no defects. The upper limit of the film thickness is more preferably 1 μm or less, further preferably 500 nm or less, still more preferably 300 nm or less, particularly preferably 200 nm, extremely preferably 100 nm or less, and most preferably 50 nm or less. If the transmission coefficient is sufficiently high, it can be used even if the film thickness is large.
The auxiliary member (hereinafter also referred to as “spacer”) in the present embodiment means that the use efficiency of the membrane is reduced by preventing contact between the surfaces of the flat membrane when the flat membrane having a function of separating substances is pleated. It is a material for maintaining high, protecting the flat membrane from physical force, securing a fluid flow path between the flat membrane surfaces, and providing self-supporting property to each pleat portion constituting the pleated laminate. Examples of the auxiliary member include one or a plurality of ventilation / liquid-permeable reinforcing materials and a buffer material that protects the flat membrane from physical forces such as vibration and pressure. It is preferable to use one or a plurality of auxiliary members in order to ensure a fluid flow path between the pleats, and a structure in which a flat membrane is sandwiched between ventilation / liquid-permeable reinforcing materials is further used. preferable. The auxiliary member is provided on both sides or one side of the flat membrane, but is preferably provided at least on the low pressure side (secondary side) when the pressure difference between the front and back sides of the flat membrane is significant. Part or all of the fluid to be treated (fluid containing at least one of gas and liquid) moves from the high pressure side (primary side) through the membrane to the low pressure side (secondary side). In the case of a structure in which the fluid to be treated on the primary side flows parallel to the membrane surface, it is preferable to design the auxiliary member on the primary side so that the pressure loss is low. This pressure loss depends on the porosity and structure of the auxiliary member. The secondary side receives compressive stress from the primary side that is at high pressure through the membrane. For this reason, the auxiliary member on the secondary side needs to be strong enough to withstand this stress and secure a flow path for the fluid to be treated on the secondary side. Moreover, it is also necessary that the pressure loss of the secondary side treated fluid is low. It is necessary to design the auxiliary member from the viewpoint of high compressive strength and high voids.
As the auxiliary member, a polymer material or a metal material can be used, but the polymer material is preferable because the damage to the flat membrane is less. Examples of the polymer material include polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, nylon, and the like. As the form of the auxiliary member, a net-like material having a regular repeating structure, a nonwoven fabric having an irregular void structure, or the like can be used. Specific examples of the former include woven fabrics. As the weaving method, for example, plain weaving, twill weaving, satin weaving, and other complex weaving methods can be used without particular limitation. The spacing between the weft yarns (opening and the spacing between the warp yarns (opening) is not particularly limited, but the normal spacing is between 100 μm and 10 mm. The opening is such that the flat membranes do not adhere to each other, and the fluid passes between the flat membranes. The opening must be such that the pressure loss when flowing is acceptable, and in the case of an auxiliary member with a large opening, the intersection is stopped by a method such as fusion so that the intersection of the warp and weft does not deviate. Specific examples of non-woven fabrics include non-woven fabrics made of short fibers and non-woven fabrics made of long fibers. The concept of the non-woven fabric porosity is the same as that of the opening of the woven fabric, and the voids are such that the flat membranes do not adhere to each other. It is necessary that the porosity be such that the pressure loss is acceptable when the fluid flows between the flat membranes.
The thickness of the auxiliary member is preferably 0.01 mm or more and 5 mm or less. If the thickness is less than 0.01 mm, the mechanical strength may be insufficient, and the sealing adhesive will not easily enter between the pleats. If the thickness exceeds 5 mm, gas separation performance may be deteriorated. More preferably, the auxiliary member (spacer) has a thickness of 0.02 mm to 5 mm, more preferably 0.05 mm to 2 mm, and most preferably 0.1 mm to 2 mm. The porosity of the auxiliary member is preferably 30% or more and 95% or less. If the porosity is less than 30%, the separability of a fluid containing at least one of gas and liquid may be insufficient, and if the porosity exceeds 95%, the mechanical strength may be insufficient. The thickness and porosity of the auxiliary member are one of the factors that determine the pressure loss when a gas or liquid flows, and are designed according to the pressure loss specification of the box-type pleats. The diameter of the yarn when using a net for the auxiliary member is preferably 0.01 mm or more and 2 mm or less. When the wire diameter is smaller than 0.01 mm, the membrane under pressure is pushed out from the net of the net, and there is a possibility of closing a part or all of the secondary side flow path by contacting the membrane with the adjacent membrane. There are cases where it is not preferable. When the wire diameter is larger than 2 mm, the use efficiency of the membrane is lowered, which may not be preferable. The number of meshes is preferably 2 or more and 1,000 or less. The thread diameter and the number of meshes are also one of the factors that determine the pressure loss when a gas or liquid flows. The larger the thread diameter, the larger the fluid pressure loss, and the larger the mesh number. In addition, the pressure loss of the fluid becomes large.
As described above, the distance between the flat films in the pleated laminate is maintained by the auxiliary member. The average distance between adjacent flat films in the pleated laminate is preferably 0.01 mm or more and 5 mm or less. If the thickness is less than 0.01 mm, the adhesive tends to rise between the pleats due to the surface tension, or if the viscosity of the adhesive is too high, a phenomenon occurs in which the adhesive does not enter between the pleats. If it is 5 mm or more, the total area of the flat membrane contained in a certain element volume decreases. The average interval between adjacent flat membranes is more preferably 0.05 mm or more and 3 mm or less, further preferably 0.10 mm or more and 2 mm or less, and most preferably 0.10 mm or more and 1 mm or less.
The pleating process according to the present embodiment is a processing method for continuously folding a flat material on a bellows by repeating mountain folds and valley folds, and a pleating machine such as a reciprocating (accordion) pleating machine or a rotary pleating machine. It is possible to produce using. The planar material subjected to the pleating process can accommodate a larger area in the same projected area and the same volume as compared with the planar material not subjected to such a process. Usually, the pleating process is performed after laminating the flat film and the auxiliary member, but it is also possible to insert the auxiliary member between the pleats after performing the pleating process with the flat film alone. The pleated laminate is a structure produced by the pleating process, and has a structure in which a plurality of pleats are bundled. There is no restriction | limiting in particular in the number of lamination | stacking, and it determines with the specification of the target apparatus.

When the length and width of the pleated laminate obtained by the pleat machine are cut into a predetermined size, a box-shaped pleated laminate is obtained. Further, when this box-shaped pleated laminate is molded into a cylindrical shape so that the pleat surfaces at both ends are matched, a cylindrical pleated laminate is obtained. In the following steps, these box-type pleated laminates and cylindrical pleated laminates can be applied.
(Second step)
In the second step in the present embodiment, the pleated laminate end faces 4 and 5 are sealed to form the sealing
(Third process)
In the third step of the present embodiment, the pleated laminate is installed in the centrifuge so that centrifugal force acts in a substantially vertical direction from the inside to the outside with respect to the end surface of the pleated laminate, and the pleated laminate is rotated. Then, using the centrifugal force, an adhesive is supplied only to one side edge portion of the pleated surface to adhere and fix the inner periphery of the end surface of the pleated laminate.
A method of supplying an adhesive using centrifugal force will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 4 is an explanatory view schematically showing a first method of supplying an adhesive using centrifugal force.
As shown in FIG. 4, the pleated laminate end faces 4 and 5 are sealed in the second step. In this method, the sealed pleated laminate end faces 4 and 5 are covered with a
Next, it installs in a centrifuge so that a centrifugal force may be applied toward the outer side S2 from the inner side S1 of the pleated
The
Similarly, the adhesive material is supplied to the inner side of the pleated
It is preferable to use an adhesive for sealing having an uncured viscosity of 50,000 mPa · s or less. When the viscosity is too high, it becomes difficult for the adhesive to flow into the gap between the adherends. Although there is no restriction | limiting in particular in the kind of adhesive agent, It is preferable to select with the material of a to-be-adhered body. There is no restriction | limiting in particular as an adhesive agent for sealing, It should select suitably by the material of the to-be-adhered body to be used.

When a box-type pleated laminate is prepared in the first step, a box-type pleated molded

The supply side of the fluid (for example, gas) F <b> 1 is the
When air is used as an example of the fluid to be treated, when a separation membrane having a membrane oxygen permeation rate higher than the nitrogen permeation rate is used, nitrogen-enriched air is obtained from the outlet on the primary side, and oxygen enrichment is obtained from the secondary side. Converted air is obtained. It is preferable to remove the permeated oxygen-enriched air from the pleated surface by flowing a gas (air or the like) having an oxygen partial pressure lower than that of the primary side over the secondary pleated surface. Such an operation is called scavenging. Forcibly exhausting air having a high oxygen concentration discharged to the secondary side with normal air, air having a low oxygen concentration, or a gas not containing oxygen such as nitrogen is preferable because the separation ability of the membrane module is improved.

In Example 2, the steps (1) and (2) were performed in the same manner as in Example 1. Subsequent steps were performed as follows.
(3) Preparation of pleated laminate A two-spacer is prepared, the gas separation membrane is sandwiched between them, and pleating is performed using a pleating machine at a pleating height of 40 mm. A pleated laminate having 120 sheets (about 100 mm in length) was obtained. The pleated surfaces at both ends of the pleat were bonded together with an adhesive to prepare a simple cylindrical pleated laminate. Inside this cylindrical pleat, a cylinder with many holes was inserted.
(4) Seal (sealing)
After the adhesive is applied to the end face of the pleated laminate, as in Example 1, a resin lid having a depth of 15 mm is arranged on the end face of the pleated laminate, and the rotation radius is about 2 m having a rotation axis in the direction of gravity. Installed in a centrifuge. At this time, the end face of the pleated laminate was installed so as to be perpendicular to the direction of the resultant force of centrifugal force and gravity. After the previous adhesive (first-stage seal) is cured and a sealing portion is formed, it is connected to an adhesive container with a tube having an inner diameter of 4 mm, and an epoxy having a viscosity of about 10,000 mPa · s is connected to the adhesive container. About 50 g of a 100-45 mixture of an epoxy-based adhesive curing agent and an epoxy-based adhesive curing agent having a viscosity of about 3,000 mPa · s is placed under the condition of a temperature of 35 ° C. ) Was rotated so that a centrifugal force of 30 G was applied, and the adhesive was filled between the pleats from the side surface direction of the pleated laminate near the end face of the pleated laminate (the inner direction of the inner cylinder of the cylindrical pleat). The adhesive that could not fit in the resin lid was overflowed. The rotation was continued as it was, and after 4 hours, a pleated laminate was obtained in which one side surface of the plurality of pleats on the end face of the pleated laminate was sealed at a height of about 5 mm (second stage seal). The other end face of the pleated laminate was also subjected to the first stage seal and the second stage seal in the same manner. After the cured pleated laminate is heated in an oven at 50 ° C. for 48 hours, the first-stage seal on both sides (both ends of the cylinder) is cut off, and the surface on one side (pleated surface) of the pleated laminate is sealed Thus, a cylindrical pleated molded body in which each
