Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a catheter.
In recent years, there has been provided a catheter capable of manipulating the direction of entry into a body cavity by bending a distal end portion. With regard to this type of technology, Patent Document 1 listed below describes an invention in which a push / pull wire fixed to the distal end is operated on the proximal end side as one aspect of bending the distal end of the catheter. ing.
The push / pull wire is penetrated through a wire lumen having a diameter smaller than that of the main lumen through which the guide wire is inserted, and the distal end of the catheter bends to the wire lumen side by pulling it, and the opposite side by pushing. It is supposed to be bent.
However, in the invention described in the above patent document, the following two problems arise.
First, the distal end of the catheter does not necessarily bend away from the wire lumen when the push / pull wire is pushed into the catheter. That is, when the push / pull wire is pulled, the distal end of the catheter is expected to bend toward the wire lumen, but when the push / pull wire is pushed, the distal end is exclusively. It stays straight and hardly bends to the opposite side of the wire lumen.
Second, in the above invention, even when the push / pull wire is pulled, the distal end portion of the catheter only bends straight to the wire lumen side. For this reason, in order to allow the catheter to enter a body cavity that branches in various directions, it is necessary to apply rotational torque to the catheter each time so that the bending direction coincides with the branch direction.
However, since the catheter is inserted in close contact with the body cavity, it cannot be rotated freely, and even if a rotational torque is applied to the proximal end of the catheter, the distal end can be rotated quickly and at a desired angle. It is not possible. For this reason, the conventional catheter has a problem in operability when entering a branching body cavity.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and provides a catheter that can bend a distal end well and can freely enter a body cavity that branches at various angles. Is.

As shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B, the

Various methods can be used for inserting the

More specifically, the die is provided with a large-diameter main hole at the shaft center and a sub-hole having a smaller diameter than the main hole at a predetermined radial position from the shaft center. By rotating the die about the axis, the secondary hole rotates around the main hole.
Then, the resin material is extruded in a state where the core wire for forming the
Instead of the above-described manufacturing method in which the die is axially rotated, the take-up side that takes out the extruded resin material at a predetermined speed may be axially rotated while the die is fixed.

Various methods can be used to change the flexibility of the

As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, the sub-lumen 30 of the present embodiment is formed linearly along the axis AX inside the
