Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an image carrier unit manufacturing method, an image carrier unit, a process cartridge, and an image forming apparatus. More specifically, the present invention relates to a copying machine, a facsimile machine, a printer, a plotter, etc. The present invention relates to an image carrier unit used in an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge using the image carrier unit.
To create a toner image and transfer it to paper or the like in an image forming unit disposed in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus such as a copier, facsimile, printer, plotter, or a multi-function machine having a plurality of functions. The image carrier used in is provided with a photosensitive layer on a metal such as aluminum as a conductive substrate.
Then, a charging device, a developing device, a transfer device, and the like disposed around the photosensitive layer are sequentially and repeatedly operated for charging, developing, toner image transfer, and the like to transfer the toner image onto a sheet. Create a paper with an image. In such an image carrier, a charging operation or the like is repeatedly performed, and since the charging voltage is high, a grounding member that can further improve conductivity with a cylindrical member such as an electrophotographic photosensitive member Has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
That is, in the technique described in Patent Document 1, in the ground member, the positional relationship between at least two second leaf springs that abut against the inner wall of the cylindrical member is the first that abuts the conduction shaft on the electrophotographic image forming apparatus side. The center of the contact point with the conduction axis of the leaf spring is the center of line symmetry. Further, it is described that the drum flange body (flange member) and the drum ground plate (ground member) are melted and fixed by heat caulking, but depending on the generation of abnormal noise due to vibration of the drum ground plate and the shape of the caulking portion. There is no mention of preventing abnormal noise.
As the ground member, also in Patent Document 1, for example, a phosphor bronze thin plate having a thickness of about 0.2 mm is used. Therefore, there is a problem that chatter and vibration are likely to occur unless the conditions of heat caulking are appropriate. .
Since office equipment, which is an electrophotographic image forming apparatus such as a copying machine, a facsimile machine, and a printer, is used indoors, it is desired to eliminate noise such as abnormal noise due to chatter and vibration.
Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the circumstances described above, and is inexpensive because it suppresses the generation of abnormal noise by preventing the vibration of the ground plate (ground member) attached to the flange member by heat caulking. It is a main object of the present invention to realize and provide a small-sized image carrier unit manufacturing method, an image carrier unit, a process cartridge, and an image forming apparatus including these.

Hereinafter, the
As shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, the
Below the

The
The
Excess toner remaining on the surface of the
As shown in FIG. 11, the color
In this embodiment, the sheet conveyance path is formed in a substantially arc shape, and the
With the above configuration, the sheet conveyance path can be simplified, and most of the constituent units are arranged on the inner side of the sheet conveyance path, so that the sheet conveyance path becomes closer to the outer
In addition, the right side in FIG. 11 is configured to be the front, and the cover unit (not shown) that can be freely opened and closed is divided at substantially the center of the sheet conveyance path, and the cover unit is opened to convey the sheet. Since the path can be exposed, the elimination processing operation when a paper jam occurs becomes easier.
Next, the electrophotographic image forming process will be described. FIG. 12 is a cross-sectional view of the
With reference to FIGS. 1 to 4, the

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the
As shown in FIGS. 1, 2, and 3, the image carrier 1 has a shaft 4 that passes through a
When the
As shown in FIG. 4, the image carrier 1 has a configuration in which a
Since the image carrier 1 is repeatedly charged and has a high charging voltage, electrical conduction is ensured between the image carrier 1 and the shaft 4 that are rotationally driven, and the static electricity is easily released. For this reason, for example, the
As will be described in detail later, the
As described above, the

In FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the image carrier 1 is transmitted with the rotational driving force of the driving device to the

With reference to FIG. 5, the modification 1 of Embodiment 1 is demonstrated. Compared to the first embodiment shown in FIG. 5, the modified example 1 has a diameter D <b> 1 of the

With reference to FIG. 9, the

(Modification 4 of Embodiment 1)
With reference to FIG. 10, the modification 4 of Embodiment 1 is demonstrated. In the modified example 4, as compared with the first embodiment of FIG. 5, in addition to the heat caulking requirement of the first embodiment, as shown in FIG. 5, the diameter D3 of the
