Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an optical article formed by bonding a plurality of optical substrates and a method for manufacturing the same.
As an optical article, an optical low-pass filter formed by bonding a birefringent plate and a glass plate (IR cut glass plate) provided with an absorption layer for cutting infrared rays, and formed by bonding two crystal plates. A laminated wave plate, and a wave plate formed by bonding a thin quartz plate to a crystal holding glass plate, and the like formed by bonding a plurality of optical base materials are known.
Among these optical articles, as a conventional example for manufacturing an optical low-pass filter, there is one in which an infrared cut glass plate and a quartz plate are bonded with an adhesive (Patent Document 1).
In this patent document 1, in order to make the thickness of the infrared cut glass plate and the quartz plate constant, it is necessary to spread the adhesive evenly on the joint surface between the infrared cut glass plate and the quartz plate. It is assumed that the cut glass plate and the crystal plate protrude from the outer peripheral edge. And, since it is considered as a defective product if the protruding adhesive is not wiped off, Patent Document 1 discloses a structure having an adhesive reservoir in the peripheral portion of the infrared cut glass plate and the peripheral portion of the crystal plate. Yes.
In the conventional example shown in Patent Document 1, since the infrared cut glass plate and the crystal plate are joined with an adhesive, the thickness of the adhesive layer varies, and as a result, there is a problem that the wavefront varies. In Patent Document 1, a means of spreading the adhesive evenly in order to make the thickness of the infrared cut glass plate and the crystal plate constant is adopted. It is necessary to press the infrared cut glass plate and the quartz plate so that they are exactly parallel to each other, and the thickness of the adhesive layer will vary if the pressing force is not equal to the plate surface. become. In particular, since a thin film for cutting infrared rays and other thin films are formed on the glass plate, the glass plate is warped, and the thickness of the adhesive also varies from this point. Furthermore, in the conventional example of Patent Document 1, there is a problem that heat resistance and light resistance are reduced due to deterioration of the adhesive.
An object of the present invention is to provide an optical article and a method for manufacturing the optical article that have no wavefront variation and that do not cause the optical substrates bonded to each other to peel off even when both ends are gripped.
SUMMARY An advantage of some aspects of the invention is to solve at least a part of the problems described above, and the invention can be implemented as the following forms or application examples.
[Application Example 1]
The method for manufacturing an optical article according to this application example is a method for manufacturing an optical article including a bonding layer for molecular bonding, and includes an outer peripheral portion of the first optical substrate and an outer peripheral portion of the second optical substrate. It has a pasting process in which one end is brought into contact with each other, and the other end is brought into proximity with the contacted portion as a rotation center.
In this application example of this configuration, the first optical base material and the second optical base material are bonded according to the other end portion from one end portion of the outer peripheral portion. Bubbles between the film and the film are expelled to the other end side, so that no bubbles are mixed and an appropriate optical article can be provided. In addition, since the outer edge of the plasma polymerized film is formed away from the outer edge of the substrate, the plasma polymerized film is formed when one end of the first optical substrate and the second optical substrate are brought into contact with each other. It is not shaved at the corners of the substrate. Therefore, dust does not roll up as the plasma polymerized film is scraped at the corners of the base material, and as a result, dust does not enter between the substrates and deteriorate the quality.
[Application Example 2]
In the manufacturing method of the optical article according to this application example, the bonding step includes a step in which the first optical base is installed on a base and the second optical base is swingably attached to the base. An installation step of installing on a plate, and swinging the top plate with respect to the base so that the second optical base installed on the top is opposed to the first optical base installed on the base And an alignment step of aligning the second optical base with the first optical base by moving the top with respect to the plane direction of the base; and the top on the base And a pressing step of pressing the first optical substrate and the second optical substrate close to each other from one end portion to the other end portion.
In this application example having this configuration, the first optical base material and the second optical base material can be simply bonded together by using an apparatus in which the top plate is swingable on the base.
[Application Example 3]
The method for manufacturing an optical article according to this application example is a method for manufacturing the optical article described above, wherein a plasma polymerized film is formed on at least one of the bonding surface of the first optical substrate and the bonding surface of the second optical substrate. Forming a polymerized film, a surface activating process for activating the plasma polymerized film formed on the bonding surface, the first optical base material on which the surface of the plasma polymerized film is activated, and the first A bonding step of bonding and integrating the two optical base materials, and the plasma polymerization film forming step is to form a film in a state of masking along at least a part of the outer peripheral edge of the bonding surface. Features.
In this application example having this configuration, when the plasma polymerization film is formed on at least one of the first optical substrate and the second optical substrate in the polymerization film forming step, the bonding surface of the first optical substrate and the second optical substrate are formed. Masking is performed along at least one outer peripheral edge with the bonding surface of the base material, and a region away from the outer peripheral edge of the base material by a predetermined dimension is defined as a region where a plasma polymerization film is not formed. In the surface activation step, the surface is activated efficiently. For the surface activation step, for example, a method of irradiating plasma, a method of contacting with ozone gas, a method of treating with ozone water, a method of treating with alkali, or the like can be used. Furthermore, the plasma polymerization films are pressed together in the bonding step to join the first optical substrate and the second optical substrate via the plasma polymerization film.
[Application Example 4]
An optical article of the present invention includes a first optical substrate, a second optical substrate, and a bonding layer that molecularly bonds the first optical substrate and the second optical substrate, and the bonding layer is a plasma. It is a polymerized film, and at least one end portion of the outer peripheral edge of the bonding layer is formed away from the outer peripheral edge portions of both the first optical base material and the second optical base material. .
In this application example having this configuration, since the first optical base and the second optical base are molecularly bonded, an adhesive for bonding these bases is not necessary.
Therefore, in this application example, since no adhesive is used, there is no variation in thickness at the joint portion between the first optical base material and the second optical base material, there is no wavefront aberration, and light resistance is improved.
Moreover, since at least one end portion of the outer peripheral edge of the bonding layer is formed away from the outer peripheral edge portions of both the first optical base material and the second optical base material, these base materials can be connected with tweezers or the like. When gripping and aligning and joining to each other, tweezers etc. touch the plasma polymerized film and the plasma polymerized film peels off. There will be no defects.

Examples include gallium, trimethylaluminum, triethylaluminum, triisobutylaluminum, trimethylindium, triethylindium, trimethylzinc, triethylzinc, organometallic compounds, various hydrocarbon compounds, various fluorine compounds, and the like.

Polyorganosiloxane usually exhibits water repellency, but can be easily desorbed by applying various activation treatments, and can be changed to hydrophilic. That is, polyorganosiloxane is a material that can easily control water repellency and hydrophilicity.

The average thickness of the plasma polymerized
Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 6D, the
For the surface activation step, for example, a method of irradiating plasma, a method of contacting with ozone gas, a method of treating with ozone water, a method of treating with alkali, or the like can be used.
Here, the term “activate” means that the surface of the plasma polymerized
In this surface activation step, a method of irradiating plasma is preferable in order to efficiently activate the surface of the
As the plasma used in the present embodiment, for example, oxygen, argon, nitrogen, air, water, or the like can be used alone or in combination. Among these, it is preferable to use oxygen.
By using such a plasma, it is possible to prevent a significant deterioration in the characteristics of the plasma polymerized
The time for irradiating the plasma is not particularly limited as long as the molecular bond in the vicinity of the surface of the plasma polymerized

The bonding apparatus for implementing a bonding process is demonstrated based on FIG. FIG. 7A is a side view of the bonding apparatus, and FIG. 7B is a plan view of the bonding apparatus with the top plate removed.
In FIG. 7, the

The

Then, a press process is implemented. A connecting bracket (not shown) is connected, and the
After the bonding step, the

This heating step is provided as necessary, and the heating temperature is 25 to 100 ° C, and preferably 50 to 100 ° C. If it exceeds 100 ° C, the optical articles 1 to 4 may be deteriorated or deteriorated. The heating time is preferably about 1 to 30 minutes.
In addition, although this heating process may be performed independently after a pressurization process, it is preferable to carry out simultaneously with a pressurization process, when strengthening joining strength.

Therefore, in the present embodiment, the following operational effects can be achieved.

(2) The plasma polymerized
(3) In order to bond the
(4) Since the plasma polymerized
(5) In order to bond the
