Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a power supply device for a vehicle, and particularly to a technique for connecting and disconnecting a plurality of power storage devices and a vehicle load.
Electric vehicles such as electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, and fuel cell vehicles are equipped with an electric motor that generates vehicle driving force and a power supply system that supplies electric motor driving power including a power storage device. As such a power supply system, a power supply system including a plurality of batteries has been proposed.
For example, Japanese Patent Laying-Open No. 2008-154439 (Patent Document 1) discloses a plurality of power supply circuits each including a battery and a relay, and a control circuit. The control device outputs an energization command to a relay at one pole of the power storage mechanism included in each power supply circuit, and detects the voltage value of the load and the voltage value of each power storage mechanism. Then, the control device detects welding of the relay of the other pole of the power storage mechanism included in any of the plurality of power supply circuits based on the detected voltage values.
Moreover, although it is the structure provided with the single battery, Unexamined-Japanese-Patent No. 2007-318849 (patent document 2) discloses the electric system of an electric vehicle. In this electrical system, a high voltage circuit failure is determined based on the battery current and the capacitor voltage.
The technique disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2008-154439 (Patent Document 1) is based on the assumption that the voltage value of each power storage mechanism is normally detected. However, there is a possibility that an abnormality may occur in any of the plurality of voltage sensors that respectively detect the voltage values of the plurality of power storage mechanisms. Japanese Patent Laying-Open No. 2008-154439 (Patent Document 1) does not describe a method capable of appropriately controlling a relay when such a situation occurs.
An object of the present invention is to connect at least one of a plurality of power storage devices to a vehicle load even when an abnormality occurs in any of a plurality of voltage sensors that respectively detect voltages of the plurality of power storage devices. It is to provide a power supply device for a vehicle.

A third relay and a current limiting resistor provided in series between the first and second power supply lines and connected in series; a capacitor connected between the first and second power supply lines; and a voltage converter. including. The voltage converter can convert the output voltage of the DC power supply during operation and output it to the third power supply line connected to the vehicle load, and conducts the first power supply line and the third power supply line when stopped. Configured to be possible. The power supply apparatus includes a first voltage sensor that detects a voltage between the first and second power supply lines on the first power supply unit side, and a first and second power supply line on the second power supply unit side. A second voltage sensor for detecting the voltage of the first power supply, a third voltage sensor for detecting the voltage of the third power supply line, and a first voltage for detecting a current inputted to and outputted from the DC power supply on the first power supply unit side. The apparatus further includes a current sensor, a second current sensor that detects a current input to and output from the DC power supply on the second power supply unit side, and a control device. When connecting the DC power supply to the first and second power supply lines, the control device executes a precharge process for charging the capacitor by first closing the first and third relays. When the precharge process is completed, the control device closes the second relay in addition to the first and third relays, and then opens the third relay, whereby the DC power supply is switched to the first and third relays. The connection process for connecting to the second feeder is completed. When one of the first and second voltage sensors is abnormal and the other is normal, the control device first detects an abnormality among the detection value of the third voltage sensor and the first and second power supply units. In the drawings, the same or corresponding parts are denoted by the same reference numerals and description thereof will not be repeated.
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a main configuration of a
電圧センサ10A(10B)は、バッテリBA(BB)の端子間の電圧VB1(VB2)を検知する。電流センサ50A(50B)は、バッテリBA(BB)に入出力される電流IB1(IB2)を検知する。
For each of the batteries BA and BB, for example, a secondary battery such as a lead storage battery, a nickel metal hydride battery, or a lithium ion battery, or a large-capacity capacitor such as an electric double layer capacitor can be used.
Smoothing capacitor C1 (C2) is connected between power supply line PL1A (PL1B) and ground line SL2.
Smoothing capacitor CH smoothes the voltage boosted by
Inverter 14 (22) converts the DC voltage applied from
Power split

Although not shown, the
The vehicle system shown in FIG. 1 is activated when an activation signal IGON is input to the
When both batteries BA and BB are selected as the battery connected to the vehicle load,
Next, with reference to FIG. 2, the control of the connecting
First, at time t1, system main relay SMRB changes from the off state to the on state. Next, at time t2, system main relay SMRP is turned on.
Prior to time t2, voltage VL1 is zero. When voltage VL1 is 0 and battery BA is connected to power supply line PL1A and ground line SL2 (when system main relays SMRB and SMRG are turned on), when a large current flows to power supply line PL1A, the system main Since relay SMRB may be welded, it is necessary to limit the current flowing through power supply line PL1A.
Therefore, system main relay SMRP is turned on prior to system main relay SMRG on the negative electrode side of battery BA (time t2). While the system main relay SMRP is on, the output current from the battery BA is limited by the limiting resistor R0, so that the voltage VL1 gradually increases. When voltage VL1 increases and becomes substantially equal to voltage VB1 of battery BA, system main relay SMRG is turned on (time t3). As a result, both system main relays SMRG and SMRP are turned on. Thereafter, the system main relay SMRP is turned off (time t4).
Charges are accumulated in the smoothing capacitor C1 (C2) during the period when the system main relay SMRP (SR1P) is on. Therefore, hereinafter, accumulation of electric charge in the smoothing capacitor C1 (C2) before turning on the system main relay SMRG (SR1G) is referred to as “precharge”.
When the difference between the voltage VB1 and the voltage VL1 is small (almost 0) and the current IB1 is small (almost 0) during the precharge period of the smoothing capacitor C1, the control device completes the precharge, The main relay SMRG is turned on.
However, the above control is based on the assumption that both
FIG. 3 is a flowchart for explaining connection processing of the batteries BA and BB by the
Referring to FIG. 3,
For example,
When it is determined that both batteries BA and BB are selected (YES in step S1),
As shown in FIG. 2, the voltage VL1 (VL2) is substantially zero until the battery BA (BB) is connected to the
In addition, for example, when the detected value of the
The
In step S2,
In step S3,
In step S5,
In step S6,
In step S8,
Next, the connection process of the battery BA or BB will be described in detail with reference to FIGS.
FIG. 4 is a flowchart for explaining the processing of step S3 and step S9 shown in FIG. That is, the flowchart of FIG. 4 shows the control process of the
Referring to FIG. 4, in step S21,
In step S23,
As the inter-terminal voltage of the smoothing capacitor C1 approaches the voltage of the battery BA, the difference between the inter-terminal voltage of the smoothing capacitor C1 and the voltage of the battery BA decreases. However, since the
In step S24,
FIG. 5 is a flowchart for explaining the processing in steps S4 and S11 shown in FIG. That is, the flowchart of FIG. 5 shows a control process of the connection unit 40B that is executed by the
Referring to FIG. 5, in step S31,
In step S33,
In step S34,
FIG. 6 is a flowchart illustrating the process of step S6. The process shown in this flowchart is a control process for the connection unit 40B, which is executed by the
Referring to FIGS. 6 and 5, step S6 is different from step S4 (S11) in that step S33 includes step S33A instead of step S33. In step S33A, the voltage VH (detected value of the voltage sensor 13) is used instead of the voltage VL2 to determine the completion of the precharge. In this respect, the process of step S6 is different from the process of step S4.
FIG. 7 is a flowchart illustrating the process of step S10. The process shown in this flowchart is a control process for the connecting
7 and 4, step S10 is different from step S3 (S9) in that step S23 includes step S23A instead of step S23. In step S23A, the voltage VL1 is used for determining the completion of the precharge instead of the voltage VH. In this respect, the process of step S10 is different from the process of step S3 (S9).
The connection processing of the batteries BA and BB shown in FIG. 3 to FIG. 7 will be generally described as follows. When both batteries BA and BB are selected, it is determined whether or not each of
The value of voltage VH changes (increases from 0) by the battery previously connected to the vehicle load. The value of the voltage VH indicates the voltage value of the smoothing capacitor (C1 or C2) corresponding to the battery previously connected to the vehicle load. By executing the battery connection process corresponding to the voltage sensor determined to be abnormal (one of the
When the value of the voltage VH rises to one of the batteries BA and BB, the value of the voltage VH does not substantially change even if the other is connected to the vehicle load. Therefore, if both
When it is determined that both
When one of the batteries BA and BB (battery BA) is selected, the process of step S7 is executed. In this case, since the voltage VH of the smoothing capacitor CH changes, the precharge process can be completed regardless of whether the
