Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a golf club head.
An adherend such as a weight member, a vibration absorbing member, or a batch may be attached to the golf club head. Double-sided adhesive tape is used for this mounting. In the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, both the front side surface and the back side surface have adhesiveness. Double-sided adhesive tape is generally called double-sided tape in Japan.
During the bonding operation, air can enter between the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape and the adherend. Similarly, air can enter between the double-sided adhesive tape and the head body during the bonding operation. This air becomes bubbles and reduces the adhesive force of the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape.
In a golf club head, impact force due to impact is large. This impact force can lead to peeling of the adhesive surface. A strong adhesive force that can withstand this impact force is required.
An object of the present invention is to provide a golf club head in which an adherend bonded by a double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is difficult to peel off.
A golf club head according to the present invention includes a head body, a double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, and an adherend bonded to the head body by the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape. The head body and the adherend have an adhesive surface that adheres to the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape. The head body or the adherend has a recess. The inner surface of the recess and the adhesive surface are adjacent to each other. A space exists between the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape and the recess.
Preferably, the adhesive surface of the head body is a back surface of the head body. Bubbles generated on the adhesive surface can be released into the recess, and the adhesive force can be improved.
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail based on preferred embodiments with appropriate reference to the drawings.

The double-sided adhesive tape t1 is interposed between the adherend s1 and the head body h1. The adherend s1 is bonded to the head body h1 by the double-sided adhesive tape t1. The contour shape of the double-sided adhesive tape t1 and the contour shape of the adherend s1 are substantially equal.
The shape of the double-sided adhesive tape t1 is not limited. The width and length of the double-sided adhesive tape t1 are not limited. The double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1 is a sheet having adhesiveness on both sides.
In FIG. 2, the double-sided adhesive tape t1 is shown as a single layer. However, in practice, as will be described later, the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1 is composed of a plurality of layers.
The head body h <b> 1 includes a

As shown in FIG. 2, the
The space SP is in a closed state. The

When the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1 is attached to the
The bubbles form a gap between the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1 and the

In FIG. 4, what is indicated by a double arrow a 1 is the depth of the
When attaching the adherend s1 to the head main body h1, for example, the adherend s1 is pressed against the head main body h1. With this pressing force, bubbles can flow into the space SP. By reducing the bubbles, the adhesion area is increased and the adhesion force is improved.
Bubbles generated near the center of the adherend s1 do not easily reach the side surface of the adherend s1. Bubbles generated near the center of the adherend s1 are difficult to be discharged to the outside. From the viewpoint of removing bubbles generated near the center of the adherend s1, the
The
The double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1 includes an adhesive layer and a base material layer. The double-sided adhesive tape t1 has elasticity. The double-sided adhesive tape t1 has vibration absorption.
In the
As shown in FIG. 2, in the present embodiment, the existence region of the adherend s1 includes the back surface point SS2 of the sweet spot SS1. In other words, a straight line L1 passing through the center of gravity of the
In FIG. 4, what is indicated by a double-headed arrow T <b> 1 is the thickness of the
(A1) The thickness T1 is equal to or less than the thickness T22.
(A2) The thickness T1 is smaller than the thickness T22.
(A3) The thickness T1 is equal to or less than the thickness T21.
(A4) The thickness T1 is smaller than the thickness T21.
From the viewpoint that the
The adherend s1 and the double-sided adhesive tape t1 form a composite. This composite can exhibit a vibration absorbing effect. When the weight of the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1 is too small, the vibration absorption effect of the composite is reduced. From this viewpoint, the weight of the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1 is preferably 0.1 g or more, and more preferably 0.2 g or more. From the viewpoint of weight reduction, the weight of the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1 is preferably 2 g or less, and more preferably 1 g or less.
The ratio (T1 / T2) of the thickness T1 to the thickness T2 is not limited. When the thickness T2 is excessively thin, the workability of attaching is lowered or the vibration absorbing effect of the composite is lowered. On the other hand, a thinner thickness T1 can contribute to weight reduction. Further, by reducing the thickness T1, the concave portion and each part of the adherend s1 are easily deformed. In particular, when the thickness T1 is reduced, the adherend s1 is likely to expand and contract in a direction parallel to the bonding surface 26 (in-plane direction). This deformation can improve the vibration absorption effect. From these viewpoints, the thickness T1 is preferably smaller than the thickness T2, and the ratio (T1 / T2) is preferably 0.9 or less, and more preferably 0.7 or less. If the thickness T1 is excessively small, defective production of the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1 tends to occur. On the other hand, when the thickness T2 is excessively large, the weight increase is excessive. From these viewpoints, the ratio (T1 / T2) is preferably 0.2 or more, and more preferably 0.4 or more.
The thickness T2 is not limited. By increasing the rigidity of the adherend s1, the attaching workability is improved and the generation of bubbles is suppressed. On the other hand, if the thickness T2 is too thin, the vibration absorbability of the composite is lowered. In this respect, the thickness T2 is preferably equal to or greater than 0.5 mm, more preferably equal to or greater than 0.7 mm, and still more preferably equal to or greater than 1.0 mm. In light of weight reduction, the thickness T2 is preferably equal to or less than 2.0 mm, more preferably equal to or less than 1.7 mm, and even more preferably equal to or less than 1.5 mm.
The thickness T1 of the
The projected area of the adherend s1 is S1 (cm 2 ). The projected area S1 is an area of a graphic drawn by the outline s11 (see FIG. 3). The projected area of the
When the area S1 is large, it is difficult for bubbles to escape to the outside. When the area S1 is large, the effect of the present invention can be manifested. In this respect, the area S1 is preferably 1 (cm 2 ) or more, more preferably 2 (cm 2 ) or more, and more preferably 3 (cm 2 ) or more. When the adherend s1 is provided on the back surface of the head, the area of the back surface is limited. From this viewpoint, the area S1 may be preferably 20 (cm 2 ) or less, and more preferably 15 (cm 2 ) or less.
From the viewpoint of facilitating escape of bubbles to the recess, the ratio of the area S2 to the area S1 (S2 / S1) is preferably 0.1 or more, and more preferably 0.13 or more. From the viewpoint of increasing the adhesion area, the ratio (S2 / S1) is preferably 0.5 or less, and more preferably 0.4 or less.
In FIG. 3, what is indicated by a double arrow W1 is the maximum length of the adherend s1. This length W1 (mm) is the length of the longest line segment among the line segments connecting two points on the contour line s11. In FIG. 3, what is indicated by a double-headed arrow W <b> 2 is the maximum length of the
In FIG. 3, what is drawn by a two-dot chain line is an inscribed circle E1 having a maximum diameter among the circles inscribed in the boundary k1. From the viewpoint of achieving both the ease of movement of bubbles into the recess and the contact area, the shape of the recess (the shape of the figure drawn by the boundary k1) is preferably small and long. From this viewpoint, the diameter D1 of the maximum inscribed circle E1 is preferably 10 mm or less, more preferably 7 mm or less, and more preferably 5 mm or less.

The
Due to the presence of the bubbles, the resin layer is easily deformed. From the viewpoint of durability and adhesive strength, a resin layer having no air bubbles is preferable.

The
An example of the fiber layer is a nonwoven fabric layer as described above. However, the fiber layer is not limited to the nonwoven fabric layer. The fiber layer is a layer containing fibers. In the fiber layer, the fiber contributes to an improvement in tensile strength. The fiber layer can suppress wrinkling. The fiber layer can suppress the generation of bubbles.
The step of attaching the adherend s1 to the head main body h1 includes, for example, a first step of attaching the double-sided adhesive tape t1 to the adherend s1, and the adherend s1 attached with the double-sided adhesive tape t1 to the head main body h1. A second step of attaching to the substrate. When the concave portion is provided in the adherend s1, the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1 at a position corresponding to the concave portion is not in contact with anything immediately after the first step. The part that does not touch anywhere is referred to as a non-adhesive part below. In the second step, the entire double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1 including this non-adhesive portion is attached to the head body h1. In this second step, wrinkles, sagging or tearing is likely to occur in this non-bonded portion. This wrinkle tends to lower the adhesive strength. The double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1 having a fiber layer can solve the problem caused by the non-adhesive portion. This effect can be further improved by combining the resin layer with the fiber layer.

In FIG. 5 etc., the double arrow A1 indicates the thickness of the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1. When the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1 is excessively thin, the rigidity of the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1 is insufficient, and wrinkles and bubbles are easily generated. From the viewpoint of suppressing the generation of wrinkles and bubbles, the thickness A1 is preferably equal to or greater than 0.1 mm, and more preferably equal to or greater than 0.2 mm. The adherend s1 is preferably disposed on the back surface of the face surface 4. The double-sided adhesive tape t1 is preferably disposed between the back surface of the face surface 4 and the adherend s1. The ball directly collides with the face surface 4. A large impact force acts on the face surface 4 by hitting the ball. Therefore, when the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1 is disposed on the back surface (back side) of the face surface 4, the vibration absorbing effect is remarkably exhibited.
In the embodiment of FIG. 2, the head main body h1 between the face surface 4 and the double-sided adhesive tape t1 is solid. When it is solid, the impact of the face surface 4 is easily transmitted to the double-sided adhesive tape t1. Therefore, in this case, the vibration absorption effect is remarkably exhibited. From this point of view, the head body h1 between the face surface 4 and the double-sided adhesive tape t1 is preferably solid.
The material of the adhesive layer is not limited. When the adherend s1 is attached to the outer surface of the head, the double-sided adhesive tape t1 may protrude from the outer edge of the adherend s1. The protruding double-sided adhesive tape t1 is exposed to the outside. The protruding double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape t1 can be visually recognized. The protruding double-sided adhesive tape t1 is preferably not conspicuous. Considering the case where it is exposed, the adhesive layer preferably has transparency and weather resistance. From this viewpoint, the material of the adhesive layer is preferably an acrylic adhesive.
The material of the resin layer that does not have bubbles is not limited. As described above, the double-sided adhesive tape t1 can be exposed to the outside. Considering the case where it is exposed, the resin layer having no air bubbles preferably has transparency and weather resistance. From this viewpoint, it is preferable that the base resin of the resin layer having no air bubbles is an acrylic resin.
When a fiber layer is a nonwoven fabric layer, the material of the nonwoven fabric which comprises this nonwoven fabric layer is not limited. Examples of the material of the nonwoven fabric include natural fibers, synthetic fibers, and recycled fibers. Examples of synthetic fibers include vinylon, polyester, polypropylene, polyethylene, and nylon. Hemp is illustrated as a natural fiber. Rayon is illustrated as a recycled fiber. From the viewpoint of weather resistance and strength, synthetic fibers are preferable, and polyester and nylon are more preferable.
