Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a brittle material plier, and more particularly to a brittle material plier for dividing a brittle material in which a dividing groove is formed.
When brittle materials such as glass plates are cut, a cutting groove (scribe line) is generally formed in the glass plate by a scribing wheel made of cemented carbide or sintered diamond or a glass cutting tool having a diamond tip at the tip. And it is made to divide by bending the both sides. When this glass plate is bent, for example, a glass splitting tool as shown in Patent Document 1 is used.
The conventional tool as shown in Patent Document 1 has a tool body and a lever or a pair of levers. A glass receiving portion is provided at the tip of one lever, and a glass pressing portion is provided at the tip of the other lever. The glass receiving portion is provided with a pair of convex portions that support both sides of the scribe line on the upper surface of the glass plate, and the glass pressing portion is provided with one convex portion that presses immediately below the scribe line on the lower surface of the glass plate. Yes.
As described above, conventional tools for cutting brittle materials such as glass including Patent Document 1 support both sides of the scribe line on the upper surface of the glass plate and apply force from directly below the scribe line to the glass. The board is divided. That is, the glass plate is supported and divided at three points, upper and lower.
Here, when the glass plate is divided, the cross section is required to be a flat surface orthogonal to the glass surface. However, when a glass plate is cut using a conventional tool, the dividing surface may be inclined without being orthogonal to the glass surface, or a protrusion may be formed on the dividing surface, which satisfies the required quality. It may not be possible.
Moreover, when a glass plate is bent using a conventional tool, the glass plate is instantly divided so that it can be flipped. Then, the lower ends of the divided sections of the glass plates on both sides interfere with each other, and chipping, cracking, etc. occur, resulting in defects.
Furthermore, in the case of the conventional tool which divides | segments by supporting three points | pieces of a glass plate, there exists a problem that the width | variety of the glass plate which can be divided by the support width by the side of a glass receiving part receives restrictions.
An object of the present invention is to improve the quality of a cross section and improve the yield when a brittle material such as a glass plate is cut.
Another object of the present invention is to be able to break even a narrower brittle material.
Here, according to the examination result of the present inventors, the main cause of the failure in the cross section of the brittle material is that the stress is concentrated on the scribe line by the three-point support in the conventional tool, that is, the pressing of the lower surface of the brittle material. It was found that the material was concentrated and applied to the scribe line, and the brittle material was bent and split so that it could be flipped instantaneously.
Therefore, the present invention does not concentrate the stress on the dividing groove with respect to the brittle material in which the dividing groove is formed, but bends the brittle material by applying a distributed load to a predetermined range including the dividing groove. The speed of dividing, that is, the speed of progress of cracks generated along the dividing groove is further lowered to improve the quality of the brittle material divided section.
According to a first aspect of the present invention, a brittle material plier is used for dividing a brittle material in which a dividing groove is formed, and includes a first lever and a second lever.
In the present invention, the dividing groove is a scribing wheel that is usually used for scribing a brittle material and a scribing line that is formed by using thermal stress due to irradiation of a laser or the like, or a cutting groove that is formed by dicing using a grindstone. Means a guideline for separating brittle materials by cutting.
In the present invention, the division means a processing step for separating the brittle material along a scribe line or a notch groove formed on the main surface of the brittle material.
In the present invention, the brittle material includes glass for building materials, window glass for automobiles, FPD and other glass circuit boards, ceramics for sintered materials, single crystal silicon, semiconductor wafers, ceramic substrates, sapphire substrates, stone materials, and the like.
The first lever has a brittle material pressing body at the front end portion and a grip portion at the rear end portion. The second lever is rotatably supported by the first lever, has a brittle material receiving portion at the front end portion, and has a grip portion at the rear end portion. The brittle material receiving portion has a predetermined length in the left-right direction intersecting the dividing groove, and is elastically deformable with a lower rigidity than the brittle material, and both ends of the elastic plate in the left-right direction with respect to the second lever. And an elastic plate support part to support. The brittle material pressing body has a pressing portion for applying a distributed load wider than the width of the dividing groove to the brittle material.
In this brittle material plier, the brittle material in which the dividing groove is formed is supported by the brittle material receiving portion of the second lever, pressed by the brittle material pressing body of the first lever, bent and divided. At this time, one surface of the brittle material is covered with the elastic plate of the brittle material receiving portion, and the other surface of the brittle material receives a distributed load by the brittle material pressing body with a predetermined width including the dividing groove.
By dividing using such a brittle material plier, the brittle material can be divided at a slower rate than when a conventional tool is used. More specifically, the speed of cracks traveling along the dividing grooves can be reduced, and the speed of cracks can be controlled by operating the brittle material pliers. For this reason, it can prevent bending and dividing | segmenting so that it can be played conventionally. As a result, it is possible to suppress brittle material partial sections on both sides from interfering with each other, thereby preventing the brittle material partial sections from being chipped or cracked, improving the quality of the brittle material partial sections and improving the yield.
Further, in this brittle material plier, since the brittle material receiving portion is formed of an elastic plate and an elastic plate supporting portion, the width of the brittle material that can be divided is the brittle material receiving portion as in the conventional three-point support tool. It must not be longer than the distance between the pair of support parts of the part. However, the width of the brittle material to be divided is subject to the restriction of “more than the width of the brittle material pressing body”.
A brittle material plier according to
Here, the brittle material is pressed by a highly rigid pressing plate. And the press plate is supported by the press plate support part.
In this case, since the pressing plate has higher rigidity than the brittle material, deformation of the pressing plate is suppressed when pressing the brittle material, and a distributed load can be applied to the brittle material evenly.
According to a third aspect of the present invention, the brittle material plier according to the first or second aspect has a pressing plate in which the pressing portion is formed shorter than the elastic plate in the left-right direction. It further has a pressing plate support for supporting. The pressing plate support portion includes a pressing shaft that extends in the left-right direction provided at the distal end portion of the first lever, and a pair of support members that support the left and right ends of the pressing plate and are attached to the pressing shaft. .
Here, the brittle material is pressed by the pressing plate. The left and right ends of the pressing plate are supported by the first lever by a pair of support members. For this reason, even if the rigidity of the pressing plate is low, the left and right ends of the pressing plate are supported by the pair of support members, so that deformation of the pressing plate can be suppressed. Therefore, the distributed load can be applied evenly to the brittle material.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, the brittle material pliers according to the third aspect are such that the pressing portion is rotatable about the center of the pressing shaft.
Here, since the first and second levers are rotatably connected to each other, the tip of each lever moves along an arcuate locus. In this case, if both the brittle material receiving portion and the brittle material pressing body are fixed to the levers so as not to rotate, these contact surfaces do not come into surface contact with the surface of the brittle material.
Therefore, in this fourth aspect, the pressing portion can be rotated about the center of the pressing shaft, and the entire contact surface of the brittle material receiving portion and the brittle material pressing body is in contact with the surface of the brittle material. Yes.
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, the brittle material plier further includes a rotation restricting portion for restricting the rotation of the pressing portion within a predetermined angle range.
Here, if the pressing portion is rotatable like the brittle material pliers according to claim 4 and the rotation range is set large, the posture of the pressing plate is not determined, and the contact surface of the pressing plate with the brittle material May face away from brittle materials. In this case, an operation for the operator to point the pressing plate or the pressing plate support portion toward the brittle material side is required, and the operation at the time of dividing the brittle material becomes troublesome.
Therefore, in the fifth aspect, the rotation of the pressing portion is restricted by the rotation restricting portion to prevent the pressing plate from rotating in the direction opposite to the brittle material, for example. This facilitates the operation when the brittle material is sandwiched by the brittle material pliers.
A brittle material plier according to a sixth aspect of the present invention is the pliable material plier according to any one of the first to fifth aspects, wherein the elastic plate support portion includes a support shaft provided at a front end portion of the second lever and extending in the left-right direction, and left and right ends of the elastic plate. And a pair of support members attached to the support shaft.
Here, the left and right ends of the elastic plate are supported by the second lever via a pair of support members and a support shaft. For this reason, the elastic plate can be reliably supported by the second lever.
According to a seventh aspect of the present invention, the brittle material pliers according to any one of the first to sixth aspects are configured such that the elastic plate support portion is rotatable around the center of the support shaft.
A brittle material plier according to an eighth aspect of the present invention further includes a rotation restricting portion for restricting the rotation of the elastic plate support portion within a predetermined angular range in any one of the first to seventh aspects.
A brittle material plier according to a ninth aspect is the positioning of the brittle material provided in the first lever or the second lever and inserted between the pressing plate member and the brittle material pressing body in any one of the first to eighth aspects. And a brittle material positioning member for performing the above.
Here, the position of the brittle material when the brittle material is sandwiched by the brittle material pliers can be determined by the brittle material positioning member. Further, since the brittle material positioning member is provided between the pressing plate member and the brittle material pressing body, that is, between the distal end portion of the first lever and the distal end portion of the second lever, both the levers are sandwiched. Even in this case, a predetermined gap can be secured between the tips of both levers, and the operator is prevented from pinching the fingers between the grips of the first lever and the second lever, thereby improving safety. Further, the pressing portion is prevented from coming into strong contact with the elastic plate and damaging the elastic plate.
As described above, by dividing the brittle material using the brittle material pliers of the present invention, the quality of the brittle material section can be improved and the yield can be improved. In addition, a brittle material having a narrower width can be divided.

[Glass positioning member]
As shown in FIG. 1, a
The
[Glass cutting operation]
The glass pliers 1 are used when dividing a glass plate on which a scribe line is formed. The scribe line only needs to be a scribing wheel that is usually used for scribing a brittle material, a line that uses thermal stress by irradiation with a laser, or the like, and the forming means is not limited.
When dividing, as shown in FIG. 2, the end face of the glass plate G is sandwiched between the glass pliers 1 so that the surface on which the scribe line L is formed is positioned on the
As described above, the glass plier 1 is set on the end surface of the glass plate G, and the
At this time, since the
Further, the upper surface of the glass plate G is covered with the
[Characteristic]
During the glass cutting operation as described above, a uniform distributed load is applied to a predetermined region including the scribe line from the lower surface of the glass plate G, and the upper surface of the glass plate G is covered with the

Since both ends of the
Moreover, since the press
Further, the
