Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a slag aggregate determination method for determining the presence or absence of slag aggregate in concrete, and a slag aggregate quantification method for specifying the content of slag aggregate contained in concrete.
In recent years, using slag such as blast furnace slag, ferronickel slag, copper slag, electric furnace oxidation slag, and molten slag as a concrete aggregate has been studied from the viewpoint of recycling waste and reducing environmental impact. Has been put to practical use. In this case, a method of replacing a part of the fine aggregate with the slag aggregate from the general aggregate is a general method.
However, some slag aggregates of this type use low-grade slag, and when such low-grade slag aggregates are used, problems such as pop-out have been reported. (Concrete Engineering Annual Papers, Vol. 25, No. 1, 2003, pp 623-628).
Therefore, it is extremely important to determine whether or not low-grade slag aggregate has been used in concrete and to quantify when it is used, as part of investigating the cause of such problems. There seems to be, but until now no established measurement method has been found.
If attention is paid to the fact that the slag is glassy, a method using a polarizing microscope can be easily considered. Specifically, cut out a measurement slice from a concrete specimen, determine the presence or absence of slag aggregate by discriminating crystalline aggregate and glassy slag with the naked eye using a polarizing microscope, This is a method of quantifying the amount of slag aggregate by counting the slag aggregate discriminated with the naked eye.
However, the method using such a polarizing microscope has the following problems.
(1) Problems in sample preparation In order to perform microscopic observation, it is necessary to prepare a flaky sample, but in order to perform quantitative analysis, it is also necessary to prepare a relatively large cross-sectional slice, and from the concrete specimen It is very difficult to prepare such a flaky sample, and even an expert needs a lot of time, and a beginner may not be able to create a sample suitable for analysis.
(2) Difficulty of distinction and individual differences When making a judgment by microscopic observation, it is necessary to identify the mineral according to the shape and color tone of the mineral. However, the measurement results are often different for different measurers.
(3) Complexity and time of quantitative analysis When performing quantitative analysis with a microscope, it is necessary to measure as large an area as possible in consideration of the dispersion state of aggregates in concrete. Things must be counted and the measurement takes a long time.
Accordingly, in view of the problems of the conventional technology as described above, an object of the present invention is to provide a slag aggregate determination method capable of easily and accurately determining the presence or absence of slag aggregate in concrete. To do.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a slag aggregate quantification method capable of easily and accurately quantifying the content of slag aggregate in concrete.
As a result of extensive research conducted by the present inventors, slag aggregate has less silica as the main component compared to natural aggregate such as river sand, river gravel, sea sand, crushed stone or crushed sand, and accordingly, calcium and aluminum. It is possible to determine the presence or absence of the slag aggregate or to quantify the slag aggregate by focusing on the content of these two components and evaluating the elemental analysis results focusing on the contents of these two components As a result, the present invention has been conceived.
That is, the present invention performs elemental analysis of the concrete surface using an electron probe microanalyzer (hereinafter referred to as “EPMA”), and determines the presence or absence of slag aggregate from the contents of calcium element and aluminum element. Provided is a method for judging slag aggregate in concrete.
Further, the present invention performs an elemental analysis of the concrete surface using EPMA, and measures the area of the region in which the content of calcium element and the content of aluminum element are within a predetermined range. A method for quantifying slag aggregate is provided.
In the present invention, the content of the calcium element, 18 to 32 wt% as a value of calcium oxide (CaO) in terms, the content of the aluminum element as the value of the aluminum oxide (Al 2 O 3) in terms of 10 ~ 18% by weight is preferred.
According to the slag aggregate determination method according to the present invention, from the elemental analysis results of the concrete surface obtained by EPMA, by determining whether the content of calcium element and aluminum element is within a predetermined range, The presence or absence of slag aggregate in the concrete can be determined easily and accurately.
Further, according to the slag aggregate quantification method according to the present invention, from the elemental analysis result of the concrete surface obtained by EPMA, by obtaining the area of the region where the content of calcium element and aluminum element is within a predetermined range For example, the content of the slag aggregate in the concrete can be easily and accurately obtained by converting the area into a volume using a calibration curve prepared in advance.
Hereinafter, the slag aggregate determination method and the slag aggregate determination method in concrete according to the present invention will be described in detail.
The method for determining slag aggregate in concrete according to the present invention is to perform elemental analysis of the concrete surface using EPMA and measure the content of calcium element and the content of aluminum element. The slag aggregate is included when the content of the calcium element and the content of the aluminum element deviated from the content of the element in the ordinary concrete material and satisfy the content of the slag aggregate .
EPMA irradiates a concrete sample to be measured with an electron beam to qualitatively or quantitatively determine the element of characteristic X-rays emitted from the concrete sample. It is to be quantified.
In general concrete materials and slag aggregates, the contents of calcium element and aluminum element are values shown in Table 1 below.
Therefore, in the present invention, when the content of calcium element and the content of aluminum element measured by EPMA deviate from the content in such a normal concrete material, it differs from the normal concrete material. More specifically, it can be determined that other materials are contained. More specifically, the content of calcium element is 18 to 32% by mass in terms of calcium oxide (CaO), and the content of aluminum element is aluminum oxide. When it is 10 to 18% by mass in terms of (Al 2 O 3 ), this can be determined as slag aggregate.
Furthermore, in the present invention, the content of slag aggregate can be quantified by performing the above-described measurement by EPMA on a predetermined area of the surface of the concrete sample to be measured.
Specifically, the relationship between the ratio (area%) of slag aggregate measured by EPMA and the actual content (volume%) of slag aggregate is prepared in advance as a calibration curve, and measured by EPMA. By applying the result (area ratio of slag aggregate) to the calibration curve, the slag aggregate content (volume%) can be determined. In addition, the ratio (area ratio) of the slag aggregate measured by EPMA and the actual content (volume%) of the slag aggregate have a linear relationship, and the calibration curve may be expressed by a linear expression. Many.
Another method is to calculate the content of slag aggregate contained in concrete by converting the ratio (area%) of slag aggregate measured by EPMA into three dimensions (volume%). Also good. Specifically, for a given area Scm 2 two-dimensionally result of EPMA measurement, when the area of the determined area and slag aggregates are acm 2, the content of slag aggregate contained in the concrete, (A / S) 3/2 (volume%). It is also possible to correct to a value with higher accuracy by multiplying the value obtained by such calculation by a correction coefficient obtained in advance.
斯かる観点から、該測定面積は、4cm2(2cm×2cmの正方形)〜64cm2(8cm×8cmの正方形)が好ましい。 The larger the measurement area of the concrete sample, the more accurately the amount of slag aggregate can be specified. However, the preparation of the sample becomes complicated and the measurement by EPMA also takes a long time. From such a viewpoint, the measurement area is preferably 4 cm 2 (2 cm × 2 cm square) to 64 cm 2 (8 cm × 8 cm square).
Moreover, before conducting the elemental analysis by EPMA, it is preferable that the concrete surface to be measured is polished to have a smooth surface without unevenness.
Furthermore, before performing elemental analysis by EPMA, it is preferable to deposit carbon on the polished concrete surface by using a carbon deposition apparatus or the like to form a carbon deposition layer.
By forming such a carbon vapor deposition layer, conductivity is imparted to the sample, and therefore, more accurate measurement is possible even for non-conductive samples such as concrete and ceramics.
A specimen (Φ10 cm × 20 cm) was taken from each of the prepared concrete cured bodies, and this specimen was sliced to a thickness of 1 cm. The surface of the sliced specimen is polished with an abrasive, and carbon is vapor-deposited on the surface of the specimen using a carbon deposition apparatus, and then the EPMA (JEOL) is used for the surface (3 cm × 3 cm). Elemental analysis was conducted by JXA-8200). The measurement conditions of EPMA are as shown below.

Using the obtained measurement results, the calcium content is 18 to 32% by mass in terms of calcium oxide (CaO) and the aluminum content is 10 to 18% by mass in terms of aluminum oxide (Al 2 O 3 ). A certain area was selectively displayed in green by color mapping on a monitor attached to EPMA. FIG. 1 is a diagram showing the area displayed in green in gray.
As shown in FIG. 1, a large number of gray portions exist in the measurement region, and it was confirmed that molten slag fine aggregate was included.
Further, when the relationship between the area of the color-mapped region and the amount (kg / m 3 ) of the molten slag fine aggregate used was determined, the results shown in Table 3 below were obtained.
Moreover, when this relationship was plotted on a graph, the result as shown in FIG. 2 was obtained.
As apparent from FIG. 2, the amount of molten slag fine aggregate used (kg / m 3 ) and the area (%) measured by EPMA have a relationship satisfying a predetermined linear expression. confirmed.
Therefore, if this linear equation is used as a calibration curve, the molten slag fine aggregate is used from the measurement result (area%) by EPMA for the concrete sample whose molten slag fine aggregate usage (kg / m 3 ) is unknown. The amount (kg / m 3 ) can be determined.
