Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a thin PTC thermistor element whose electrical resistance increases by sensing temperature, a method for manufacturing the same, a secondary battery cell using the PTC thermistor element, and a method for manufacturing the same.
Conventionally, as a PTC thermistor element having a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) property in which an electric resistance value increases by sensing temperature, a conductive layer is dispersed in the resin layer and the resin layer. (For example, refer to

By the way, many lithium ion polymer batteries are used as secondary batteries for small portable devices. In this application, the reaction occurs gently in a lithium ion polymer battery and is relatively safe to heating. For this reason, PTC thermistor elements are often not included because priority is given to volume efficiency as a device, but in the future, in order to further improve the safety of secondary batteries in portable devices, a PTC thermistor element will be provided. Is preferred.
However, since the conventional

After the adhesive is applied to the other electrode member, the adhesive resin is cured to define the distance between the two electrode members between the two electrode members. Insulating spacer material, the conductive particles that secure conductivity between the two electrode members, and the two electrode members are bonded to each other, and when the temperature exceeds a predetermined temperature, the volume expands between the two electrode members. This is a method for manufacturing a PTC thermistor element in which a thermistor layer having a thickness of 100 μm or less is formed of a matrix resin that increases the electrical resistance value of the PTC thermistor.
Further, the present invention provided to solve the above problems includes a battery main body (battery main body 101) and a positive or negative electrode member (positive electrode
In addition, the present invention provided to solve the above-described problem is that an insulating spacer material and conductive particles are dispersed in an adhesive resin on at least one of a positive electrode or negative electrode member of the battery main body and an electrode lead. After the applied adhesive is applied and the adhesive application portion is bonded to the electrode lead and the electrode member, the adhesive resin is cured, and the electrode member and the electrode lead are interposed between the electrode member and the electrode lead. When the insulating spacer material that defines the distance between the electrode leads, the conductive particles that secure the conductivity between the electrode member and the electrode lead, the electrode member and the electrode lead are bonded, and a predetermined temperature is exceeded. This is a method for manufacturing a secondary battery cell, in which a thermistor layer having a thickness of 100 μm or less is formed of a matrix resin that expands in volume and increases the electrical resistance value between the electrode member and the electrode lead.

According to the PTC thermistor element of the present invention, since two electrode members are bonded together with an adhesive resin, the structure can be made of only the thermistor layer made of the adhesive resin, and can be made extremely thin. . In addition, since the distance between the two electrode members, that is, the thickness of the thermistor layer can be made constant at a level of 100 μm or less by the insulating spacer material, good conductivity can be stably secured.
In addition, according to the method for manufacturing a PTC thermistor element of the present invention, a thermistor layer can be formed by coating, so that a thin PTC thermistor element having good conductivity can be easily manufactured.
Further, according to the secondary battery cell of the present invention, since the configuration of the PTC thermistor element of the present invention is provided between the electrode member and the electrode lead in the battery main body (battery element), the size can be reduced.
Further, according to the method for manufacturing a secondary battery cell of the present invention, a thermistor layer can be formed between the electrode member and the electrode lead in the battery main body (battery element) by coating, so that the thin PTC having good conductivity is provided. The thermistor element can be easily incorporated into the secondary battery cell.
Below, the PTC thermistor element and its manufacturing method which concern on this invention, a secondary battery cell, and its manufacturing method are demonstrated. The present invention will be described with reference to the embodiment shown in the drawings, but the present invention is not limited to this, and can be appropriately changed according to the embodiment. -As long as an effect is produced, it is included in the scope of the present invention.
FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view showing the configuration of the PTC thermistor element according to the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 2, the
Here, the
The compounding quantity of the
Moreover, in order to ensure the uniformity of the thickness of the
The
The “predetermined temperature” is the glass transition temperature of the
The insulating
The diameter (average particle diameter) of the insulating
Moreover, the compounding quantity of the insulating
Examples of the insulating
The

Next, a method for manufacturing the PTC thermistor element according to the present invention will be described.
The manufacturing method of the PTC thermistor element according to the present invention is basically the following two steps.
(S11) At least one of the two
The adhesive used here is obtained by adding appropriate amounts of the insulating
(S12) Next, after bonding an adhesive application part to the other electrode member (for example, electrode member 13), the said adhesive resin is hardened. The curing process is performed according to the curing conditions of the adhesive resin. At this time, it is preferable to cure the adhesive resin while lightly applying pressure in a direction perpendicular to the bonding surfaces of the

As the transition metal M constituting this lithium composite oxide, Co, Ni, Mn and the like are preferable. Specific examples of such a lithium composite oxide include Li x CoO 2 , Li x NiO 2 , Li x Ni y Co 1-y O 2 (where 0 <y <1), LiMn 2 O. 4 etc. can be mentioned. Further, as the positive electrode active material, for example, Li x M y PO 4 (M is Fe, Mn, Cr, Co, Cu, Ni, V, Mo, Ti, Zn, Al, which is inexpensive and has a stable crystal structure. , Ga, Mg, B, Nb, SnCa, Sr, 0.5 ≦ x ≦ 1.1, and 0.5 ≦ y ≦ 1.) Specifically, LiFePO 4 or the like is used. Further, as the positive electrode active material, for example, metal sulfides or oxides such as TiS 2 , MoS 2 , NbSe 2 , V 2 O 5 can be used.

The
As the negative electrode active material, a material having a potential of 2 V or less with respect to lithium and doping and dedoping lithium is used. Specifically, for example, lithium, a lithium alloy, or a carbonaceous material that can be doped / undoped with lithium ions is used. Examples of the carbonaceous material that can be doped / undoped with lithium ions include a low crystalline carbon material obtained by firing at a relatively low temperature of 2000 ° C. or less, and artificial graphite obtained by firing a raw material that is easily crystallized at a high temperature around 3000 ° C. It is possible to use a highly crystalline carbon material or the like. Specifically, carbonaceous materials such as pyrolytic carbons, cokes, graphites, glassy carbon fibers, organic polymer compound fired bodies, carbon fibers, activated carbon, and the like can be used. Examples of the cokes include pitch coke, needle coke, and petroleum coke. The organic polymer compound fired body is obtained by firing and carbonizing a phenol resin, a furan resin, or the like at an appropriate temperature.
具体的には、例えば化学式DsEtLiu(Dはリチウムと化合可能な金属元素及び/又は半導体元素の一種以上であり、Eはリチウム及びD以外の金属元素及び/又は半導体元素の一種以上であり、sは0より大きく、t及びuは0以上である。) In addition to the above-described carbonaceous material, for example, an element that can be combined with lithium or a compound of this element can be used as the negative electrode active material. Specifically, for example, chemical formula D s E t Li u (D is at least one metallic element capable compound with lithium and / or semiconductor elements, E is one metal element other than lithium and D and / or a semiconductor element S is greater than 0, and t and u are 0 or more.) SiB 4 , SiB 6 , Mg 2 Si, Mg 2 Sn, Ni 2 Si, TiSi 2 , MoSi 2 as compounds represented by the chemical formula , CoSi 2, NiSi 2, CaSi 2, CrSi 2, Cu 5 Si, FeSi 2, MnSi 2, NbSi 2, TaSi 2, VSi 2, WSi 2, ZnSi 2 , etc., and any one or more of these Use. These compounds can be used by mixing one or more of the above-described carbonaceous materials. In this case, the carbonaceous material functions as a conductive material.
In addition to the carbonaceous materials and compounds described above, as the negative electrode active material, for example, polymers such as polyacetylene and polypyrrole, and relatively high potentials such as iron oxide, ruthenium oxide, molybdenum oxide, tungsten oxide, titanium oxide, and tin oxide are used. It is also possible to use a base oxide that can be doped or undoped with lithium, or a nitride in which oxygen of these oxides is replaced with nitrogen.

The
In the
In the
In the

The
According to the
Such a
First, the
Next, the
Next, the

(S22) Next, after bonding the adhesive application portion between the electrode member and electrode leads (for example, the negative electrode
Thus, the

(2) Evaluation result About the obtained sample, the relationship between temperature and an electrical resistance value was measured. The result is shown in FIG. 7 represents the temperature of the
As a result, the initial resistance value is 12 mΩ, and the electrical resistance value of this sample is about 10 mΩ or less and the level of the initial resistance value within the temperature range of the normal environment inside the electrical equipment up to 20-40 ° C. Maintained and showed a low value. When the temperature exceeded 60 ° C., the temperature increased and the electrical resistance value increased gradually. When the temperature reached 80 ° C. or higher, the electrical resistance value increased rapidly, and the maximum electrical resistance was 610Ω. Subsequently, when the sample was taken out from the silicon oil bath and allowed to cool at room temperature for 10 minutes, the electric resistance value returned to 18 mΩ.
