Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an endoscope system used for medical use, for example.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, an endoscope system that irradiates illumination light and obtains an endoscopic image in a subject has been widely used. An electronic endoscope is used for such an endoscope system. The electronic endoscope is connected to a light source device in the endoscope system. When the electronic endoscope is inserted into the subject, the illumination light emitted from the light source device is guided into the subject by a light guide or the like provided in the electronic endoscope. The electronic endoscope has an imaging means for imaging an observation site in the subject by the return light of the illumination light. The imaging signal output from the imaging means is subjected to image processing, and is displayed as an endoscopic image on the observation monitor. The observation site is observed by this endoscopic image.
Observation with such an endoscope system is performed by switching between normal light observation using visible light and special light observation using desired narrow-band light (special light) such as ultraviolet light and near infrared light, for example. Is called.
Special light observation is narrow band imaging (NBI (registered trademark)) and is widely performed.
Here, light with a short wavelength (for example, blue light) has a low depth of penetration into the living body. For this reason, in special light observation, when light having a short wavelength is used, reflected light of light having a short wavelength absorbed and scattered near the surface is taken to obtain an observation image near the surface.
On the other hand, light having a long wavelength (for example, red light) has a deep depth to the living body. For this reason, special light observation, when using light with a long wavelength, captures reflected light of light with a long wavelength that has been absorbed and scattered inside the living body with a deep penetration, and displays an observation image inside the living body with a deep penetration. obtain.
For example, Patent Document 1 discloses an endoscope system that can efficiently irradiate a subject with light having a specific wavelength without increasing the size of a light source device.
Further, for example,
In the above-described endoscope system, the switching operation between the normal light observation and the special light observation is performed by the operator operating the endoscope system, for example, by switching the filter, and the image processing mode and the special light in the normal light observation. It is necessary to switch the mode of image processing in observation.
For this reason, a mechanism for switching the filter is required, and the endoscope system becomes large.
In addition, the normal light observation and the special light observation require a switching operation by the operator, which makes the operation troublesome.
Therefore, in view of the above problems, an object of the present invention is to provide a small endoscope system that can easily perform a switching operation between normal light observation and special light observation.
In order to achieve the object, the present invention directs special light, which is light having a desired narrow-band wavelength, to an observation site in the subject, and the insertion portion to be inserted into the subject and the insertion portion. A first light emitting portion that emits light and normal light that is white light including the special light is emitted toward the observation site, and is disposed so as to surround the first light emitting portion on the distal end side of the insertion portion. An imaging unit that is disposed in the insertion unit and that captures the reflected light of the special light reflected by the observation site and the reflected light of the normal light reflected by the observation site And an image signal generation unit that generates an image signal for the observation image of the observation region based on the reflected light of the special light and the reflected light of the normal light captured by the imaging unit. The image signal generated by the image signal generation unit Based on the display unit that displays the observation image, the imaging value of the reflected light of the special light that changes corresponding to the relative distance between the tip of the observation optical system and the observation site, and the imaging value An image signal for observing the observation mode of the observation image displayed on the display unit with the special light according to a comparison result of the comparison determination unit comparing the threshold value and the image A special light observation mode for generating the signal generation unit to observe the observation site with the special light and an image signal for performing observation with the normal light are generated in the image signal generation unit, and the observation is performed with the normal light. There is provided an endoscope system including a switching unit that switches to one of a normal light observation mode for observing a region, and a switching unit.
According to the present invention, switching operation between normal light observation and special light observation can be easily performed, and a small endoscope system can be provided.

As shown in FIG. 1, the
The
In normal light observation, normal light described later is used. Normal light observation refers to observing an observation site with normal light. In special light observation, special light described later is used. Special light observation refers to observing an observation site with special light.
The
The

The
As shown in FIG. 2A, the distal end
As shown in FIG. 2B, the illumination
An incident end face 84 a of the
The
An illumination light source of the
For example, a glass or
As shown in FIG. 2B, FIG. 2C, and FIG. 3, this

This narrow-band observation realizes highlighting of capillaries and fine mucous patterns on the surface of the mucosa by irradiating light with two narrow-band wavelengths that are easily absorbed by hemoglobin in the blood. In general, in order to observe a blood vessel with high contrast, attention has been paid to the use of light having both a feature that is strongly absorbed by blood and a feature that is strongly reflected and scattered by the mucosal surface layer. Therefore, in order to emphasize the contrast between the blue narrow band light (light having a narrow band of about 390 nm to about 445 nm) described above for the observation of capillaries on the mucosal surface layer and the observation of thick blood vessels in the deep part and the capillaries on the mucosal surface layer The above-described green narrow band light (light having a narrow band of about 530 nm to about 550 nm) is used.
In the normal
The normal light emitted from the normal
Thus, the
As shown in FIG. 2C, the special
Such a filter 83 (special
The
The
At this time, the
Thereby, the
For example, when the

As shown in FIG. 2D, the observation
The
Thus, the image sensor 74a is emitted from the
The image sensor 74 a is used in a state where it is electrically connected to the
The objective lens unit 72 includes a lens system in which a plurality of lenses are combined. These lenses are arranged so as to be movable along the axial direction. For this reason, the image sensor 74a can capture the subject image in a state where the focus of the subject image is connected on the image sensor 74a.

The control unit 18f is also a determination unit that determines whether or not the power source of the illumination light source is ON.

Special light imaging values include, for example, the amount of special light (light intensity), the area of special light, the size of the diameter of special light, and the integrated values of the above-mentioned light amount and area, special light image signals, etc. One of them.
The amount of special light means that the special light is emitted from the
The area of the special light indicates an irradiation area of the observation site by the special light when the special light irradiates the observation site. The irradiation area is also an imaging area imaged by the imaging element 74a. This irradiation area is an output image output to the
The diameter of the special light indicates the diameter of the irradiation area of the observation site by the special light described above.
The threshold is a reference value for the amount of special light, the area of the special light, the diameter of the special light, the integral value, and the like, and is set as desired by a setting unit (not shown).
The imaging value of such special light is a value that changes corresponding to the relative distance between the
Specifically, the special light imaging value is higher than the threshold as the relative distance is smaller, and is lower than the threshold as the relative distance is larger.
Therefore, the
That is, when the imaging value of special light is higher than the threshold (relative distance is small), the observation mode is switched to the special light observation mode. When the imaging value of the special light is lower than the threshold value (the relative distance is large), the observation mode is switched to the normal light observation mode.
When the
Further, when the
When the relative distance between the
In this way, the
Next, the operation method of the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 5, 6A, and 6B.
The
The
When the illumination light source is turned on, the illumination light source emits white light. The white light is guided to the distal end side of the
(Step4)。 Thus, the observation site is irradiated with normal light and special light. At this time, the imaging device 74a captures the reflected light of the normal light and the reflected light of the special light reflected from the observation site (Step 4).
At this time, the
Next, the
As a result of comparison by the
When the power source of the illumination light source is ON (Step 7: Yes), the process returns to Step 5. That is, the
When the power source of the illumination light source is OFF (Step 7: No), the operation ends.
In the present embodiment, as described above, when the relative distance between the
As a result of comparison by the comparison /
In this state, when the imaging element 74a captures the reflected light of the special light, the reflected light is image-processed as an image signal and displayed on the
Next, the
As a result of comparison by the
When the power source of the illumination light source is ON (Step 11: Yes), the process returns to Step 8. That is, the
When the power source of the illumination light source is OFF (Step 11: No), the operation ends.
In the present embodiment, as described above, when the relative distance between the
As a result of comparison by the comparison /
As described above, in the present embodiment, the
In the present embodiment, the special light and the normal light can be emitted by the filter 83 (the special
In the present embodiment, the special
In this embodiment, the special light is condensed by the
In the present embodiment, the special
The structure of the

Next, a second embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. About the same structure as 1st Embodiment, description is abbreviate | omitted by attaching | subjecting the same referential mark as 1st Embodiment.
In the first embodiment described above, white light is emitted from the illumination light source, and in the

In the second embodiment described above, the special
